Obama returns to the podium in the briefing room again. But he should have issued some strict rules and guidelines. It set off a firestorm of reaction following his speech, when off topic questions invaded the press conference.
It is a little hard to swallow Obama’s passion on the issue as ‘gun-runner in chief’. He thwarted, stonewalled, and blocked inquiries into Fast and Furious using executive privilege, now his priority is gun control. This was his third speech about it — gun control. Contradiction never occurred to him, nor does hypocrisy.
Then gun control advocates were frustrated when questions after were about fiscal cliff negotiations. Reporters were even called on to justify their fiscal cliff questions in view of the presidents remarks limited to gun and violence issues. They had to explain the rationale for their questions about the looming debacle.
But when did he make a national speech or commission about violence and murders, many of them children, in Chicago? He didn’t. Oh the president is the only one that can create a task force and then say “this is not a commission”. Does it matter what you call it? He promises it will not stretch out for months and inaction, you know, like Fast and Furious.
Just because the nation is headed for a fiscal cliff in a few weeks, with stalled negotiations, does not mean anyone should be asking about that subject. Nah. Piers Morgan led a charge of gun control advocates against the ofenders. That prompted statements today from reporters to justify their questions.
Gun running to Mexico can’t even be questioned or discussed. And there is no media firestorm about it. That was only “a manufactured scandal”. Obama has no time for such nonsense. He suggests the gun control should not be political and dragged out while they made Fast and Furious partisan ordeal, dragging the Dems for how many months now? They deny public outcry about it. They politicized the Newtown massacre from day one.
But read Obama’s lips, this is no commission on guns….even if it promisses to be a commission on guns. And let’s put that partisan hack, Baretta Biden, in charge of it.

Putting the Gaffemaster in charge tells me he could care less. He is making a dog and pony show of this AVOIDABLE tragedy worse with his asinine comments,strictly for the consumption of his wacko base.

Good article bull. Gaffer has been anti-Gun forever, so I don’t think we have to guess what that lame ass commission will suggest. The Sumbitch and Gaffer are surrounded by folks protecting them and their family’s with guns constantly, but Heaven forbid we be allowed to do the same. Gonna have trouble again with this one in Congress, so I would assume we’ll see another anti-constitutional EO soon.
Once again Barry wants to come up with laws that only he and his fellow p*ecker heads in DC don’t have to follow. I wish there was a better word to describe him than hypocrite, but I just can’t think of one right now. He’s the origination of the definition of the word…

He also did another goodie. He made a video reply to petitions for gun control. What about those other petitiions? This guy is gunrunner in chief but he’s worried about the people. Best part was seeing Holder right there in the middle….
Hey, if we could get a fix on the mental health problems and guns, he wouldn’t be prez. He endangers the whole country.

Bull, Gaffer put “clue” in clueless. The anti-gun morons will never get it and I stopped arguing with them a long time ago. As for Barry; he has to be related to Al Capone. Barry is the biggest gangster I’ve seen since big Al. I’m still holding back on my big smile when Holder sends his cronies into the Appalachian Mountains to collect guns. Now that will be rich…. 🙂

Tanngl, you are exactly right. Crickets. Like everyone can’t see his selective outrage. I’m amazed at that to….and how they can be allowed to ignore it. Funny how with Bush they connected every litte thing they could. For instance, every issue had a punch line of Iraq and Valerie Plame and Dick Cheney. I am willing to say that is the true disarmed society — a sycophant media, dictated by Obama. A terrible thing. Also a very good post on your blog.

You bring up a real good point too. I’ve been watching and never seen the liberals and media so entrenched in singing Amazing Grace, and listening to the thoughts of clergy and showing services in churches. It is contrary to what they usually do, ignoring Christian influences and God’s influence.
But where has the amazing grace been on abortion or these mroal sicknesses in our socielty. They are the first ones to run off the choirs singing hymns, and tell the clergy they have no place in public debate on political issues. Liberals mock the Christians and Christianity.
But now they break all their own rules. Liberals and MSM talk about the great power of Faith and God in our lives. They call for prayers. The same Liberal- progressives who declared war on religious freedom and conscience, forcing Christian institutions to pay for for birth control services.
On abortion they tell you to take a hike or lock yourself in your prayer closet, and shut up. “Take your faith and shove it” is the message they send us.
