In the summer of 2011, propaganda minister Jay Carney announced the economy was “vastly improved”. Now the pm says that it’s the Republicans’ fault the economy is on death watch.
Gross domestic product fell at a 0.1 percent annual rate in the fourth quarter, the Commerce Department said Wednesday, far below the 1.1 percent gain that analysts had forecast.
Second to the decline in defense spending:
A drop in business inventories was the second major drag on growth. Firms drew down their inventories by more than $40 billion, which subtracted 1.25 percentage points from GDP growth. With companies focusing on selling goods already sitting on their store shelves and in their warehouses, production in the nation’s farms and factories was not as high as one might expect given consumer and business spending.
/…
Still, there are reasons for concern in 2013: While consumer spending held up in the final months of 2012, that was before the payroll tax break expired in January, siphoning income from workers’ paychecks. And if negotiations over the sequester force steep cuts in defense and other government spending in the months ahead, GDP could suffer a steeper decline.
Never fear, Jay Carney to the rescue with an explanation.
So the progressives who want to cut defense spending are blaming it on a cut in defense spending, which in turn they blame on those rascal republicans for the numbers. The cuts in defense spending?…. those Republicans in Congress, again. Then he shifts the blame train into hyperdrive:
“Our economy is facing major headwinds, and that’s Republicans in Congress,” the artful Carney said.
At this rate, the propaganda dept of the White House will never run out of work.
Carney. What a piece of work. Whenever I see this cluck,my mind has visions of his head meeting a 2 x 4. With the economy already in the swirly wet roller coaster AKA a toilet,Krugman today comes out and says “we cannot run out of money because we can print it”. With NO explanation as to WHAT is backing that money. With advisors like THIS asshat,it ain’t no wonder we still are on that swirly ride.

Clyde, LOL that’s right, and the One has been trying as hard as he can to flush it.Listening to those like Kruggy, the only problem is that we aren’t spending enough. Go figure. (and I thought that was the one problem they didn’t have.) LOL they want money backed by the words of the emperor with no clothes.

Good post Bull. Sorry I’ve been MIA but I just found out yesterday there was something wrong with my WordPress account and I wasn’t getting notifications. I got that fixed but now I need to figure how to fix my Avatar. The radicals favorite lie is blaming everything on Repukes. I saw the number of job creations yesterday associated with the Keystone pipeline and the number is huge in so many states. But the Sumbitch isn’t interested in creating jobs, but he’ll blame the Repukes as to why he hasn’t made up his mind yet. Carney is just a low life lying POS. I’m starting to think he’s Artificial Intelligence built by Soros and simply talks about what he’s been programmed to say. Surely to God he’s not a real human that spews bullshit and laws 24/7/365. I honestly think we could cut back some on Defense Spending some, but just how deep does the Sumbitch want to cut? I prefer they put foreign aid spending be on the chopping block first. May be on my own with this thought, but somehow I believe I’m not. Radicals never want to take care of the homeland first…

Dave,
Good to see you. Hope you get your avatar straightened out. The SB throws away good jobs and tries to create government ones.He wants no energy and no oil. If it weren’t for Bush, we wouldn’t be getting hardly any domestic oil. Every propaganda minister he gets is worse than the last one. Surely they can’at be his own stupid words. But they rely on the low information voters to parrot whatever they spew as fact. They are so pathetic to trust every traitorous thing he does.
Some cuts are needed continually, sure, but they would eliminate necessary spending if they could. (then laugh about it) I don’t see why we are donating borrowed money to all these muzzi nations. Radicals do care about every part of the globe but here. They want us down to third world level. And they are getting their way. Next time they wil have to find something else to blame for the economy. I forgot, there’s always Republicans. (politics is all they care about) I came to the conclusion, he doesn’t care one bit about the economy, its nothing to him. Remember Kerry told reporters at the convention the story they should be reporting on is the great, wonderful economy.

Bull, keep telling the same lie over and over and eventually stupid asses believes it must be true, they keep saying it. Heaven forbid these many morons do any research on their own in attempt to find the truth. Just dumb ass sheeple. How quickly they’ve forgotten that under Bush we set record growth and fed took in record revenue (with lower taxes). Why don’t they first tackle foreign aid and chop it down to what we can afford to the countries we like and just cut off the f*cking countries that despise us, The radicals are always more interested in trying to buy love and respect from other countries, before being concerned about the people they get the money from. Kerry wants us to look at our great, wonderful economy that grew at a lousy ass 0.1 in the last quarter of 2012. Traitorous bastard Kerry is incapable and looking at anything in our nation and be able to differentiate between great and sucking hind ass. Dipshit City has turned into a safe haven for traitors and criminals.

Dave, repetition is their entire schtick. We thought Hill was bad. RIght, Kerry will treat the terrorists with the same sliding scale. He gets to listen to all their anti-US rants and then demand we give them foreign aid. And they’ll think its a quid pro quo. 🙂
