The Food Gestapo

What is it with power and food?

NYC’s Mayor Bloomberg believes he is the food police. And apparently Obama has to have a food taster before he can eat it.

Daily Caller

“Unfortunately, you know, the president can’t,” said Collins when asked if Obama ate at the lunch meeting.

“Collins continued, “He honestly did look longingly at it, but apparently he has to have essentially a taster, and I pointed out to him that we were all tasters for him, that if the food had been poisoned all of us would have keeled over…”

It’s long been rumored that the Secret Service has someone taste the food for the commander-in-chief before he eats meals prepared outside of the White House, but it’s never been officially confirmed.

Obama shared another fear during the campaign that an immigrant could be harassed while taking a child for ice cream.

But now suddenly if you don’t have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re going to be harassed, that’s something that could potentially happen. — Obama

Obama likes his straw men with ice cream.

Bloomberg wants to regulate food like the gestapo, which tells me power is just as dangerous as crack addiction and far more seductive than alcoholism.

Newsday

“We are moving forward immediately with our appeal,” said Michael A. Cardozo, corporation counsel of the city’s law department. “We believe the judge was wrong in rejecting this important public health initiative. We also feel he took an unduly narrow view of the Board of Health’s powers.”

Maybe Bloomy could just ban large cup holders.

Obama cannot trust anything being served until it is tasted first, and Bloomberg believes he needs to regulate what the people can have. And they both believe in severely regulating what people can do.

What is with their fear and obsession over food? I wonder if Bloomberg has a food taster?

Too Bad these people weren’t around to advise Adam and Eve, they could have saved us a whole lot of trouble. That puts it into perspective, they believe they are gods and they fear what people can do.

So what are you giving up for lent? How about obsessive, power-hungry politicians…or are we too addicted to them?

I scream, you scream, we scream for freedom.

  1. I’m of two minds about it. On one hand, I want to allow the idiots full opportunity to over-consume themselves to death, thereby thinning the herd and improving the gene pool. On the other hand, I generally like people, don’t want them to die from addiction to bad food, and I also don’t want the extra strain on the health care system the obese put on it to make my insurance rates go up. I’m not sure what to do.

IM, seems to me you already made up your mind. The problem is government cannot protect people from every thing or temptation out there. It does not work.(whether it is really meant to or not) And who says governemnt motivation is sincere. I should think the last thing a person needs(or wants) is intervention from someone who doesn’t care one wit about them. That takes naive faith my friend.

Good post Bull. A food taster?? Er’ ya’ kiddin’ me?? Well; I’ve heard heavy drug abuse causes paranoia. I’ve seen power corrupt, but damn….King Sumbitch, The First Bitch and Bloomingidiot take the cake. Literally…they want to take away our cake! I didn’t know till these three popped out of a monkey’s ass that power also destroyed brain cells. They take delusion of grandeur to a whole new level. I’d give my self oh…20 seconds at the most in Bloomingidiot’s presence and my redneck ass would be in jail for assault. Ya’ don’t mess with a rednecks big gulp!!! 🙂

Dave, you probably wouldn’t last 10 and he’d be out the door in a hurry. It reminds me about a term I heard used by rev, Charles Stanley that seems so fitting: “merchants of misery”. That’s what they are.

Dave, a guy like Bloomturd could give a man a powerful thirst…if you get my drift. 🙂 Its amazing he could not accept a term limit himself, and had it changed to get reelected…. but he demands lots more regulation on the people . He also said cops should stop enforcing the law until they pass tough gun control.

And now he’s worried about someone getting a big gulp?

Bull, LMFAO…I catch your drift loud and clear!! Hilarious! Most of history shows us these type psychos only come along occasionally (but consistently) and there use to be a secret law of only one per country at a time. Well how in the living hell did we end up with so many at the exact same time??? Big Brother (well…in Barry’s case Big Sister) is wanting to be everyone’s mommy and this shit has to end. Bloomingidiot just flat believes he’s the second coming of Christ and NY City is so full of bums they’ll let him do anything as long as they keep getting their freebies.

I’m of two minds on this: first mind says they can all f*ck off and the second mind says they can all f*ck off. Both minds also agree it’s time to go get a big gulp… 🙂

Yea, Clyde, they should get the treatment they deserve for what they inflict on the people. Unfortunately, some of the chowder heads applaud them for it. At this point they are only competing who can regulate the most, and it doesn’t matter if they have the authority or not, they do it anyway.

Funny how both guys would support late term abortion. Bloomy would support scissors to the back of the head for babies while banning 32oz beverages. Then calls the latter “a crisis” that requires action.

Both have that “crisis” phobia on the brain while ignoring real ones…. and are perfectly willing to create crises of their own.

Bull, why in the hell are all the people that are Pro-Murder already born?? And why are most of the Pro-Murder supporters the best example to allow abortions on demand?? Gotta be something Freudian in there.?.?. I’m very Pro-Life (though I get very conflicted when I think of folks like the Obastids and Bloomingidiot), but damn dog…I’d would have voted to give Bloomy and Barry free scissors at birth… 😉

        Dave,
LOL I cannot argue with the logic. They have that same Margaret Sanger, Peter Singer thing going on. You would think they would be conflicted about it, at some level, ANY level, but NO!
