UN sees abortion restrictions as torture

U.N. report: Bans on abortion are ‘torture’

Warns women, drug users, transgender men vulnerable to ‘health-care abuse’

WND
Denying a woman access to an otherwise legal abortion is “tantamount to torture,” claims a designated United Nations expert in an official report to the international body.

What’s more, the expert asserts, banning all abortions – including in the case of rape – may be “torture” too, whether the bans are legally passed or not.

Mendez lists as health-care “tortures” a host of “reproductive rights violations,” including forced sterilization, female genital mutilation and “denial of legally available health services such as abortion and post-abortion care.”

This really defies reason. To not do abortions is torture. Yes they said it. And not doing abortions is equivalent to other torture, including genital mutilations and sterilization. But why don’t they just say child bearing or having a baby is torture?

Post-birth abortions are apparently not torture. No word on who determines how many minutes, days, weeks, years get to go by before it is no longer considered “just” an abortion. I can think of a potential candidate now that is quite a way out on the timeline.

One thing about a U-frigging-N report. It DOES make for good catbox liners. It has all the intellectual capacity of the aforementioned catbox contents that “kitty” tries to bury.

So it’s torture for a woman to give birth to a child, but what about the child? No torture there?????

UN-frigging disgusting. And when was the last time genial mutilation occurred here in the US. What is Menendez rattling about? Maybe he means men having their testicles removed because they rape and torture. In that case, they deserve the mutilation.

Oh, I re-read it and he says “female” mutilation. Who does that? Perhaps it’s mutilation to have an abortionist sticking things into a woman’s vagina to abort a baby. Some women do die during this.

    Damn morons!

      Pepp,

Amazing isn’t it? Their worst fear is for abortions to be restricted or stopped. I think this means they[UN] are officially a weapon of mass destruction.. Apparently they are upset with the female sterilization practices in countries. Now they throw in this crap. I guess this would mean when they start the work camps and coerce abortions, this would protect them. So it would only be considered torture not to provide abortions.

  4. It’s why when I hear about kids in college taking part in these “mock U.N. debates”, which I believe is supposed to teach debating skills and international awareness, it ends up just being another form of indoctrination.

Pretty much whatever the U.N. is touting, I’m reeeeaaal suspicious of…
