Kerry Says US Will Sign UN Arms Treaty, Ignores Congressional Opposition

Monday, 03 Jun 2013  – Newsmax

By Lisa Barron

Secretary of State John Kerry says that the U.S. will sign a controversial United Nations treaty on arms control in spite of bipartisan opposition from lawmakers.

Kerry released a written statement on Monday saying the U.S. “welcomes” the next phase for the treaty, which the U.N. General Assembly approved on April 2 but which gun rights advocates on Capitol Hill fear could lead to new gun control measures domestically, reports Fox News.

We look forward to signing it as soon as the process of conforming the official translations is completed satisfactorily,” Kerry said, adding that the treaty is “an important contribution to efforts to stem the illicit trade in conventional weapons, which fuels conflict, empowers violent extremists, and contributes to violations of human rights.”

The treaty would reportedly require countries that ratify it to establish national guidelines to govern the transfer of conventional arms and components and to regulate arms brokers.

Supporters of gun rights have warned that it could be used as the basis for more gun control measures in the U.S.

Last week, 130 members of Congress signed a letter to President Barack Obama and Kerry calling on them to reject the measure.

We strongly encourage your administration to recognize its textual, inherent and procedural flaws, to uphold our country’s constitutional protections of civilian firearms owners, and to defend the sovereignty of the United States, and thus to decide not to sign this treaty,” they wrote.

H/T to Dave for the article

Just ignore the US Constitution and the 2nd Amendment. It still needs a two-thirds majority in the Senate to ratify it. But Kerry pays no attention to that,  he now speaks for the supreme King so he is very confident. Is he looking into Benghazigate and the arms running under the table? You can doubt that. Maybe that wind surfing went to his head.

Good post Bull. Yep; it’s officially Stupid Month in DC now! Damn; a person can’t keep up with all the traitor scandals coming out right now. Of course my first thought is Kerry shouldn’t even be able to talk today due to his neck being broke being hung for treason years ago with Hanoi Jane!

But…here we are. Kerry running to the front with such great anticipation of the sumbitch signing this treaty…uh…but…no mention of the Senate approving the treaty. Is there a different constitution than what I learned in school and my personal copy? Did the patent run out on it? George Washington would be so proud of our country these days. Shit; it’s almost 11:00pm and I can’t deal with their traitor bull shit this late without another drink and smoke, so I’m heading off to the patio to get comfortably numb!

      Dave,
Good article and coments. We may all need something ’cause I have a feeling he’s just getting started. Who knows how many backroom (smokefilled) deals he has cooked up? He didn’t spend those years in the Senate for nothing.

Bull, I read this morning where that traitor that ran the IRS visited the White Mosque 161 times. Huh?? The Sec of State and Sec of Defense didn’t visit the White Mosque anywhere near that many times during the same time frame and they’re spouting the sumbitch knew nothing about what was going on at the IRS. WOW; I can’t but help think the thing they do the most in the smoke filled backroom is laugh at us! Lord our country is running over with dumb ass voters!!!

Bull & JG, have you ever heard a bigger crock of shit than they are trying to lay on us about O’Bastid knowing nothing about what the IRS was up too?? Give me a frigging break. I know we’re not in Kansas anymore, but the sumbitch is NOT the wizard of ineptness. That bastard knows exactly what was going on and gave the orders himself (after a much more intelligent person told him what orders to give) directly to the IRS. I was born at night, but it wasn’t last night.

2/3rds of congress- what the hell is congress – why are we paying these bastards – throw them out -take their paychecks and balance the budget oops – stupid me, they don’t want a balanced budget – wait – they don’t even want a budget – it makes it so much easier to destroy our country when the money can go anywhere they want.

True enough, but IF, a big one, IF the asinine repubs can get their heads out of their asses and pick up some seats next year, it may all be moot anyway. Dipshit, nor his underlings can E.O it, nor attach it to ANY legislation.

I hate to think it guys, but this will get signed one way or the other. Repukes in the senate roll over and vote to pass the treaty…or…the sumbitch tells them all to fuck off AGAIN and just signs an E.O.bypassing our constitution.

Bull you are so right about them being creative, but they’ve got a lot of latitude to do so when they pay no attention to our constitution and break any and every law to have it their way. Remember Barry saying, “I can’t work with this Senate!” Funny; can’t work with a senate controlled by his own Traitor Party and another of the sumbitches butt buddies (Harryass Reid) runs the senate. Worse case of delusion of grandeur we’ve seen since Hitler and Barry is raising the bar!

Dave, You said it this cat has a way too active imagination. He pushes it to the limit. And when he can’t get his way the vengeance pours out of every crevice in his evil body. He seems quite adept at working with Muzzies tho. But power & force is all they understand. He’s adding a whole new level as Clyde says.

Clyde, I guess I’m still suffering from memories of the deals they used to ram Obamacare through. Anything goes with this bunch. They are limited I guess. If Repubs can get the senate seats, its a shame that looks like about the only hope we have for resistance to their whole agenda. That hope comes with some caveats.

I have another one coming on the Islamo-fascism agenda. Couple that with what Kerry is capable of in the State Dep, it does not look attractive.
