Can the observance of Yom HaShoah possibly be given added weight and significance? Emphatically, yes. Today there is a new Hitler who wants to destroy the Jewish people and the old adage “Never Again” has never been more meaningful.
Yom HaShoah commemorated this year on April 28 has to be more than commemorating the horrific past. It must be about combating the deadliest enemy that the Jewish people have ever faced, a nuclear armed Iran.
We must use the lessons of the past on what we must do today. History must note that six million voices claimed victory over those who would again bring darkness into the world. On Yom HaShoah let us declare that Never Again Is Now, then proceed to launch the greatest assault the world has ever seen on an enemy that is determined to unleash a nuclear nightmare upon America, Israel, and the citizens of the free world.
When being threatened with extinction Holocaust Remembrance Day is every day. We must act with lighting speed because Congress still believes they have time to negotiate with Iran while the majority believes there is nothing we can do to stop them.
To reverse this untenable position there must be a great awakening, one that instills within us an indomitable spirit that victory is within reach. Creating this great awakening is the purpose of this campaign.
While promoting his 9-9-9 tax policy, Herman Cain was asked, “Do you think there is a will in Washington for politicians to put their careers on the line to do the right thing?” And he replied, “Not without the will of the people, without a massive activist grassroots movement from the bottom up. They are not going to do it from the inside. When they feel the heat, they will see the light.” We the people must be the heat.. We have to take on the Goliath.
We, Jews and Christians together, must be that Goliath. The Never Again Is Now campaign provides the catalyst so we can achieve this objective.
In January we posted an ad in the Jewish Voice and Opinion, and the reaction to our campaign proved that a six million army of Never Again is no phantom army.
When told about the response they received from my ad, I was overjoyed. The editor wrote, “We have been inundated with calls and emails since the January issue came out with your ads. People have been telling us that they know Iran is a terrible problem, but they didn’t think they could do anything about it. Your ads seem to have motivated them to make their voices heard by contacting Congressmen, both their own, and others.
Please encourage all you know to join with us in this campaign to stop Iran.

You know, I am sick and tired of hearing the Jews whine about the holocaust. Yes, it was a terrible thing that happened. Yet, other people were murdered like the Armenians, the Christians in the Roman Empire, the Chinese when Japan invaded, the prisoners of war in Korea and Vietnam, and on and on. It amazes me that the Jews never seemed to get enough courage to fight back. The number of Jews in death camps greatly outnumbered the guards. Why didn’t they use that advantage to overcome their guards? Do they prefer to be sheep and led to slaughter? Why are they still to this day whining about what happened? Do you hear any other group of people whining about their oppression? I’m just fed up with all this boo hooing by them and FOR them. Give it a freaking rest!

Thanks for the comment. Well, numbers matter but so does the power of the government. I think their point today is not to ‘allow’ it to come to that again. And sadly, many Jews here still aren’t listening to that either or don’t care.

I can’t say I fully understand the world wide hatred for this group of people except that they are exceptional for a small group of tribal people and have remained relatively a pure line of the original Jewish tribe, Judah and Benjamin. They’ve done DNA testing and found the Cohens are Koheni, the priestly Jews and still have identifiable DNA.
The holocaust is not different from the slaughter of millions and billions of people world wide throughout history. Except this. In the world there were 9 million Jews before the shoah-the holocaust.
After the shoah, there were only 3 million Jewish people left. This was a deliberate attempt to exterminate a nation. Jews were removed from every nation in Europe that the Nazis occupied.
I join with our brothers and sisters of Jewish heritage: “NEVER AGAIN!”
Additionally, in stopping Iran’s nuclear weapon, we will save ourselves.
Israel is the little satan. We, the US are the big satan to Iran. We will be next for destruction after Israel.

I agree that the holocaust was a horrific time in history. I also hope nothing like this ever happens again to any group of people or to any number of people. However, I think the world has had this event in history shoved in their faces so much that it has become a sore point. I see the Jews as people who go whining, “Poor us. We are victims. Feel sorry for us.” And I’m sick of hearing their whining.
Jews are everywhere now, especially in the financial and entertainment world. They have sprung back from 3 million to many more. They control much more than you probably know.
I was invited to a Bat Mitzvah in California. It was my first time to see this ceremony. What I heard read from their Torah, or whatever it is called, was appalling. The Hebrews believe only they will go to Paradise. Not anyone else. They are God’s chosen, and everyone—everyone else won’t even get a glimpse at the gates of Heaven.
Now, if that isn’t a racist, arrogant, and self-important ideology, tell me what is.
Most, not all but most, Jews I’ve met are pompous and self-righteous. Take Israel, for instance. If all it would take is to give back some land to the Palestinians for peace, why won’t they? They refuse to stop building settlements and refuse to give back some land. If they want peace, they need to compromise. If peace means giving back some land and cease construction, my suggestion is DO IT! Or stop their damn whining. No race of people is perfect and holy, but the Jews apparently think they are the exception.

I hesitate generalizing about the bad characteristics of people because I surely hold in my character what I dislike in others. We are all a pretty arrogant bunch, thinking we know better than anyone. I know I am.
The Jews have never had a real home. They have been sent to every country in the world as the Bible says. And in every country they have been mistreated, sometimes just discriminated against and hated but at other times they were murdered, tortured, their children taken from them to turn them from Judaism to Christianity. Some not so nice Christian people. Maybe not real disciples of Christ though.
If you read the Bible, God did make a covenant with Abraham and he did call the tribes of Jacob his chosen. And Jesus did come from the tribe of Judah. The Lion of Judah.
Many faiths believe they are the only way to heaven. Mine tells me that if you do not follow Jesus, you will spend eternity in hell. And I believe what the Bible tells me.
The land Israel has given up for peace has been plenty. They gained land after the 1967 war where they were attacked from all sides by Arab nations, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Israel, small as she was, won. The land they gained more than doubled their nation. But since, the they have given up piece by piece for peace. They gave up the Sinai to Egypt for peace with Egypt. That agreement has endured. Until the trouble in Egypt the past few years. Israel has given up the Gaza outright for peace with the terrorists, the Palestinians (Hamas). They gave up a strip of land between Israel and Lebanon to Lebanon for peace. Israel also gave limited autonomy to the terorist Hamas Palestinians for the West Bank. I was there in 2010 and in order to tour in the West Bank we had to change buses and then use Palestinian guides to go to Bethlehem. It’s like 2 different nations. Actually it is. And Israel gives the Palestinians free electricity. The Palestinians have access to the health care in Israel which is among the best in the world and these people are treated with great respect. I’m an RN. I have witnessed this.

I’m 66. I am a Christian, but I do not hold the belief if one is not a Protestant or Lutheran or Methodist they will not get into Heaven. Who are we to judge? I think many people will get into Heaven, and who gets in will be up to God. I don’t think any of us humans/mortals have it exactly right about God. We all, including the Jews, have it a little skewed. What upsets me is how the Jews think if you are not a Jew, you ain’t getting into Heaven.
Yes, the Jews have had a hard time, but can any of it be blamed on themselves? Jews are not the only race to have a tough time in human existence. The American Indian was almost wiped out. So were the Armenians persecuted and massacred. The Christians during Rome had a tough time. And there are many more.
Okay, what happened was a terrible thing, but let’s move on. Look to the future and stop dragging up the past. Again, I say if you keep shoving something unpleasant in the faces of people, sooner or later they are going to get fed up with it.
Hey, Hebrews, I’m sorry about what happened between 1932 and 1945, but give it a rest. Okay, you are, according to the Bible, God’s chosen people, but that was before anyone got beyond Gibraltar. I believe there are many more people than just the Jews going to Heaven. I suggest you get used to existing with Gentiles in Paradise.

Tannngl gave a great factual summary. (thanks) I doubt schools are teaching that.
Since your chief grievance seems to be “the whining”, I find it strange that I hear an awful lot of whining about Israel and Jews. Would you deny that whining? It comes from multiple places ….including the Middle East. I hear Jews blamed for virtually every problem in the world — not saying you do. Finally, there are even self loathing Jews, Soros et al.
In this blog there is a plethora of stuff on it. The organization in this post, ‘Never Again’, was started by a single person, and another joining, for the exact reason to remind and vow never again to allow it. One single person standing, actually next to the UN, banging that message. (says something about the power of one person) Call him a whiner? Well, there are a whole lot of voices out their, including many in the UN, whining against Israel.Its pretty constant.
Just say, your overall sentiments are not new to me .I’ve also attended some Jewish gatherings and can’t say I got that impression.
Genesis 12: 1Now the LORD said to Abram,”3…And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
And various places in the NT, God’s covenant with Abram is mentioned.
I could give you countless examples of whining coming from those who oppose Israel and despise Jews. Just a sampling across US Universities(and academia) would testify to it.(even some churches) Personally, it never ceases to amaze me how much of it is out there. Then shall we mention “Palestinian” sentiments, or what I refer to as perpetual grievances. Then, Israel has been under constant rocket attack for years and years. There really is not that much said about it, though its a part of life for Israelis. Or the suicide bombers. Whining you say? But the media is quick to point out any Palestinian grievances, or friends.
Peace, just give them some land and be done with it. That sounds very naive to me.(Auschwitz naive) Pal-leader(s) have stated they will never recognize Israel or its right to exist. That is a negotiation just waiting to happen, eh? The land has been stated.
Some would deny the Holocaust took place, if possible. Failing that they seek to minimalize it any way. I think the facts speak loudly. Allied forces had to march people through the camps to show them what they did, and they inferred blame on the people for it. There was some heavy denial even right after the fact.

This happens every year in Israel. Everything stops for the 2 minutes of silence.
I wish our citizens were so together on something in our nation.
