Taqiyya , or basic Islamic lying

Your basic definition for starters:

Taqiyya — The word “Taqiyya” literally means: “Concealing, precaution, guarding.” It is employed in disguising one’s beliefs, intentions, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions or strategies. In practical terms it is manifested as dissimulation, lying, deceiving, vexing and confounding with the intention of deflecting attention, foiling or pre-emptive blocking. It is currently employed in fending off and neutralising any criticism of Islam or Muslims.

But then that does not begin to get at the nuanced roots of the application.

Taqqiya – An Tactic of Lying, Concealment

Islamists interpret their scripture to say that they are allowed to lie about the nature of Islam in order to further their political goals.
Mon, April 7, 2014 | The Clarion Project

Taqiyya is an idea of Islamic jurisprudence that has been redefined and appropriated by Islamists as part of their political strategy. This piece is not about use of the concept in mainstream theology.

Hard to define exactly, it has been variously translated as dissimulation, concealment, lying and diplomacy. Other words that are used are kitman and idtirar. These Arabic terms all have subtly different meanings.

Nevertheless they are used to describe the same overall strategy as practiced by Islamists: using deceit as a religious and political weapon.

It has been used by Islamists in a different context. Their interpretations of scripture say that they are allowed to lie about the nature of Islam in order to further their political goals, namely world conquest.

The next post will give some depth and background into this tactic or tradition. In view of the current events, its hard to know how this tactic might be employed. But does anyone notice the recent lying campaign Obama himself has been on over IS terrorists, and the nature of Islam with respect to the terrorism we see?

It seems like a perfect opportunity for those of the craft to employ useful techniques like this time-honored one. We’ve already seen the propaganda campaign by terrorists. This is an intrinsic part of Islam’s overall campaign. It deserves serious consideration.

When dealing with something of evil nature such as Islamic terrorism — just like Alinsky’s rules of radicals in politics — we must be aware of the techniques. How similar in nature are those two forces? I think the following post will be interesting and informative.

Obama gives his prime-time speech. Apparently he misjudged the reaction.

(CNN) — President Barack Obama was trying to make a broader point when he uttered “ISIL is not Islamic,” but the four-word phrase could still come back to haunt him.

Critics on Twitter quickly fired off on the President for making the assertion, with many noting that ISIL in fact stands for the “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.” (CNN refers to the group by the acronym ISIS in its news reports. The group recently started calling itself the Islamic State).

In full context, here’s what Obama said in his prime-time speech Wednesday night:

“ISIL is not ‘Islamic.’ No religion condones the killing of innocents, and the vast majority of ISIL’s victims have been Muslim. And ISIL is certainly not a state; it was formerly al Qaeda’s affiliate in Iraq and has taken advantage of sectarian strife and Syria’s civil war to gain territory on both sides of the Iraq-Syrian border. It is recognized by no government nor by the people it subjugates.”

ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple, and it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way.

Good post Bull. I’ve been MIA due to my video card crashing and having to wait on my new one to arrive that my son installed yesterday evening.

Barry’s middle name should be Taqqiya ,along with his cabinet and demonrat worshipers. Barry pulled one better than The Gaffer stating “ISIL is not Islamic.” That’s about as moronic a statement as I’ve ever heard. What the hell does Barry think “ISIL” stands for??!! Teleprompter must have went on the blink and he had to wing it.

Sometimes I say Barry is not stupid at all and knows exactly what he’s doing f*cking up the entire world and then there’s times like this speech that totally blows my first thought out of the water! Perhaps he suffers from “Sybil” syndrome….

Dave, thanks for the comment. Nothing like hardware problems to piss you off, is there?

Yea, he’s quite the expert on it as we learned. That one has just become an old canard. Naturally they point to Bush saying stuff like that. This time Obama pushed it to the limit. And by now we know how interconnected this is with religion. Duh, its their whole point.

I do the same. And he is stupid about some things. No need to name them but he never had any executive experience, so that only follows. But then he is smart enough to pursue his evil path. And he does it willingly, in fact, he does it contrary to what any good advice would tell him. An ideologue of the worst order.

Bull as I’m sure you’ve also found; it’s much easier to take the path of evil and destruction than good and construction. Good and construction takes real effort. We got stuck with the harder road sadly, but we gotta do what we gotta do. How can we not after what Christ did for us??

I’m blessed to have this hand me down computer from my son, but I’m getting tired of problems that dig into my almost non-existent cash flow. I’m also very blessed my son knows all about computers and can install and or fix any problems beside it blowing up. Orrrr, maybe me throwing it across the room, but I’m sure you’d never imagine I’d do something like that. Did I ever tell what happen to my laptop that got junked????? 😀

        • Bullright says:

Dave, Sound like the plan as I would describe it. It is easy to go down the destructive road, though Obama seems to put some effort into that. 🙂

Oh well, good thing you got him though. I didn’t know you had ‘issues’ with the laptop. LOL Too funny.

Dave, a good mentor to me was a notable engineer and inventor. Many a project we had (picture 2 bears fighting over a trash can) where we had some equipment failures — shit happens. After the first time he’d say I’d have that thing at the bottom of the lake by now. It never quite got to that point, though very close. And that attitude from a good engineer, no patience for stuff that didn’t work right.
