Putin and Russia have listed the US among security threats in a new document that updates its security concerns.
AOL news
A new appraisal names the United States as one of the threats to Russia’s national security for the first time, a sign of how relations with the west have deteriorated in recent years.
The document, “About the Strategy of National Security of Russian Federation”, was signed by President Vladimir Putin on New Year’s Eve. It replaces a 2009 version, endorsed by then- President Dmitry Medvedev, the current prime minister, which mentioned neither the United States [nor] NATO.
I see no mention of the US in connection with the bombing of the Russian plane in 2015. This leads me to wonder if Russia does not have 2 separate reports, one for public consumption and another for government use? It’s hard to believe Russia could be operating from the same document. Meet the new Russia, same as the old Russia.
Well, seeing the Obama administration call Global Warming our biggest security threat is bound to put all kinds of ideas into Putin’s head.
No mention of what Putin’s New Years’ resolution is.
Well. so Putin sees the US as a security threat to Russia and I see Barry as a security threat the the US. And also the entire world. Putin may have tunnel vision, but it does seem there is a pattern here with Ohomo. Two dots make a straight line, but several dots definitely show a pattern. Barry has re-colored our world with commie dots, so I really don’t think Putin is off that much…

Dave, since you put it that way I agree. Obooger is the threat. I bet deep inside Putin sees it as a workable threat he can manipulate.

I’ll watch in 2016 to see which one, Putin or Obama, puts a frog down my back at the Carroll County picture show.

Obama doesn’t like competition, let’s put it that way.

Putin doesn’t let out anything that could tip off Obama….. Russia doesn’t even put anything on line that concerns how the Russian government operates as they know that the internet can be hacked and information leaked.
I hardly believe that Putin would release a document that gave any real information to the Western Media!
This is most likely a ruse to agitate Barry the traitor!
BTW…..the new Russia is nothing like the old Russia!

Blessed B, except it would be a compliment if only it were so.

I guess I have a different source for information that says that the New Russia is not old Russia….they are not America’s enemy……unless Barry the Traitor makes it so…

Well, when he can play us like a fiddle, what enemy is there in that?

Bull your source seems to be a very good one coming from Soldatkin who writes for the Moscow Times. More of his articles are here: http://www.themoscowtimes.com/sitemap/authors/vladimir-soldatkin/175589.html

I don’t see us as any threat to Russia and it’s propaganda as usual for Russian writers of the old Russia. Just like it used to be. We used to have so much of this during the cold war period. Tons of writings like these.

I should clarify. Do I see a strategic reason they mention this in a strategic document (no matter how much operational application it has to policy) ? Sure, I do. Plus an old maxim is ‘probe with bayonets, if you encounter mush proceed’ always comes to mind. Most definitely there is a strategic reason why he, Putin, has that in there. (whatever all that may be).
