Right now it seems we almost have more domestic enemies than foreign. We do have both, but the domestic ones are attempting to take down our government under Trump.

Boy oh boy do we have enemies or what? I think many of these domestic ones hate us even more than Islamic terrorists.

Twenty something years ago I picked up The Dictionary of American Maxims (1955) at a yard sale or library sale. I wanted all the sayings by T. Jefferson, P. Henry, T. Paine, G. Washington, Abe, and all. Those I read and paid attention to. It’s been misplaced for years. Found it the other day during early spring cleaning. Started reading at random the ones I had not bothered with. Educators, preachers, poets of distant times and early 20th Century. I was astounded by all the maxims promoting socialism and criticism of America, our system of government and economic system. And critical of American culture and individualism too.
Rampant and “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”

Wow, really funny about that. Who would have thunk it? So they had a flair for criticism, eh? Well, have to digest that a little.
