Lessons From Impeachment Class

What did we learn from the last thunderous day of impeachment hearings? For starters that you have to have some malicious offense committed by the president equaling high crimes and misdemeanors. But Democrats merely claiming to be offended by the president or what he does is not grounds for impeachment.

We learned that Democrats and their media arm have become so successful with their talking points that they get back fed into Deep State bureaucrats. Those same talking points can now ooze from witnesses in hearings to impeach the president.

Fiona Hill wasted no time rolling out those Democrat talking points in her prepared remarks and then later even brought in more to cover her testimony.

Her written testimony contained the canards that Ukraine was a conspiracy theory. She insisted one could only say Russia meddled in the 2016 election. Why is it so necessary to dismiss, deny and ignore Ukraine interference in 2016? I think we know why. Everything damaging to them must be labeled a conspiracy theory and denied.

Then she went for the Democrat talking point trifecta. Any mention of George Soros, or his powerful political influence is now an anti-Semitic attack. So it’s an easy way to cover up Soros’ influence by calling criticism or anyone who mentions Soros ant-Semitic.

I could not believe an academic of her caliber would be reduced to using cheap talking points of the radical left. Shut down your critics by ridicule.

Then she uses old anti-Russia tropes to shutdown criticism. That’s as good as Hillary and DNC: label any political opponents Russian agents.

Right on cue with that talking point, she asserted that some members of the Republican committee denied ANY Russian meddling in 2016. Schiff further repeated that denied “any” influence charge later. But then she is a master of hearsay, too.

The only good news seems to be that this was apparently Schiff’s last day of scheduled impeachment hearings. And he is unhappy the will of the people is not with him.

Devin Nunes summed it up in his closing. “Dems got caught” in “A carousel of accusations.”
