Time for a judgment call on the state of impeachment sham. That is on the common perceptions of some notable people.
I’m not buying the Andrew McCarthy summation or drinking that juice. He now suggests on Fox that even if you assume the conduct in question happened, it does not rise even close to the level of impeachment.
Then he asserts it is bad behavior etc. or improper but it is not impeachable.
I don’t agree with most of that. Assuming the conduct of what is being described, and that is a stretch, it is not necessarily “bad” conduct. Controversial – yes. But bad? No. It sure is nowhere in the impeachment field. I don’t qualify asking for an investigation or looking into possible corruption as bad or malicious behavior.
Remember, Andrew McCarthy is also the one who stated at the onset of Russia fever that with those accusations there would have been enough grounds to open an investigation and it would bear out innocence. But worth investigating was the verdict.
No, there were not grounds for that investigation. It was a cooked up scheme to force an investigation – and subsequent coup. Now he says, just based on the numerous facts we know, it would be wrong or bad behavior to ask a foreign government to look into it.
