It may not be recommended to write in the first person, however, these days I find it increasingly harder to avoid it. See, when I am very bothered or troubled by things, my instinct is to personalize it.
Obviously, I am very concerned by the stream of what I see going on. One could not ignore it if one really tried to. That is part of the point I will get to in a minute.
The beginning of this is that we now have had three and a half years of a Trump presidency so it is time to state some of the revelations we have seen. I look at it sort of like a lessons learned confirmation of many suspicions that built up over the years.
But let me use this one example. Almost since 2016 we have heard these comparisons to Nixon. It was like a forgone conclusion the left was setting up about Trump. Not that bad, you say, it’s par for the course.
Though if we really compared it to Nixon we would realize that old phrase “the cover up is worse than the crime” would be shredded to pieces. That has always been the high-water mark to liberals. (I know the term liberal is questionable, but convenient) They always assert that no matter what the crime is, the coverup of it is much worse, more corruptive.
So in this case a direct comparison would show that, while there was a cover up under Nixon, it was limited to those in the ranks who were involved directly in it.
But what we have here in this country is a monstrous collusion between Government, nefarious Democrats — and their many activities — and the media or national press organ, all involved in the acts and the coverup. This is far bigger and worse than anything the Russians could even try to do to the US. It might be hyperbole to some but come along.
In Nixon’s case you were dealing with a ring of people. There were Deep Throat and reporters breaking the story to a shocked public. Okay, not to delve into details but this has been their analogy, not mine. Press broke through — but it couldn’t under Obama.
What is going on in this country today far surpasses anything called a scandal. In fact, calling it a scandal would be minimizing what was done.
Another pet pieve of mine is prestigious historians talking about this or that period. Actually, they wait for events to happen and then talk about them where one can make conclusions in connecting dots. All very interesting, as history is, but not so efficient in dealing with present reality. Though I am curios why or how we got here, too.
While events are happening, we don’t always know what the end result or effect of them will be. In effect, we are writing history without knowing how it ends. As they say, hindsight is 20/20. At this time, we have the benefit of witnessing all the events in real time. It is all terrible and we cannot say with confidence where it ends.
We now can see this giant ball of collusion is very damaging. We may not know the full effect yet. One of the contributing symptoms of it, forget the cause, is that the Democrats or progressives are more incorrigible than about anything I ever saw before.
For instance, when we have been saying for years that Democrats don’t care that is now an understatement. They really, truly don’t. When we have said the ends justify the means, it is so much bigger than that simple concept. The why of both of those are mind-blowing. (and we may not even know the entire why)
What we know that they know is an indictment on the Left. They know what is wrong, they pursue it anyway as a means. The media knows it should not ignore the truth and what is going on, but they do anyway. Government people know they should not be operating maliciously but they do anyway. The contributing corruption, then, between all the collaborating allies, is a monstrous cabal.
The sum total of what it is doing is even greater than all the parts combined. (I hope that makes sense) No, it is not an illusion or conspiracy theory of our making. It is actively happening right in front of our faces. Remember Adam Schiff claimed the proof of Trump’s collusion with Russia is in front of our noses? That was ironic projection there.
What they are doing, collaboratively, is much more caustic than anything we’ve witnessed before. We thought we had seen it all. We thought we knew what bad was. But now it has gotten to the stage that it operates right in front of us, teasing us that there is nothing we can do about it if it were exposed.
When you point out any of the wrong doings or patterns of corruption, they laugh at you as if you are hallucinating. But the thing is we know it and they know it. There cannot be any honest agreement about that admission though.
There is another new term some people are using now called “next level” stuff. I don’t have to define that. However, everything is so next level now there aren’t any words for it. Maybe I will think of some. Never mind that. This is ultra-next level.
From my point of view, I finally made a few determinations. First is that the Left doesn’t care. Caring is nowhere in the scene.
So they know all this is corrupt, from Benghazi to government abuse and obstruction; to rogue, personal servers concealing government operations; to surveillance of a candidate; to a full-blown coup orchestrated on an incoming president; to a blanket cover up of everything done before it. Who is complicit in all of this? That list is long.
No, it is not at all akin to Watergate or Nixon, or any past scandals. And the players involved are far more egregious and sinister than those. One could even say 40 percent of the country might be participating in one way or another. The percentage doesn’t matter.
If the entire base of the Democrat Party, and their various allies, are all corrupted then it is a big net. We don’t have to look far for examples based just on what they say.
For instance: the Supreme Court nomination. Chuck Schumer ran out threatening if Republicans pick a justice, next year everything would be on the table. Everything was on the table anyway. Nothing has been off the table to Democrats yet.
Look further down though. Trump picked the nominee and then social media erupted. Sure we knew it was coming. Yet it is always far worse. The leftist base – way past the Move On days — are telling Democrats to do anything possible to stop this. Use any means they have. Use every dirty trick or illegal maneuver to delay or block it. Use impeachment to try to stop it. Anything at all, short of warfare and some of them already advocate that.
You see how pernicious it all is? Right and wrong mean nothing, even remotely, even the Constitution means nothing. The gig is up. They really are unhinged but in the most dangerous way. They don’t care about anything. They don’t care if the country burns. They don’t care if it causes chaos or civil war.
But they do care about results and they demand them. In effect, it is a hostile takeover where the assailant values nothing the American people value. There is no common ground. Actually any type of criminal behavior that works to their benefit is demanded. They don’t need to make exceptions because there can be no exceptions.
This has always been the reason why you cannot negotiate with terrorists. They want to run over you, beat you into submission, cower you to their demands. This is the real coup, the one against Trump was only an appetizer. You could call it the coup of coups. One where there is no end to it.
Back on the track of cast of characters. the media plays a crucial role in all of it. They too do not care. It is not a simple matter that they chose to ignore all this stuff. They blatantly don’t care about it either. They are cognizant of the veracity but it doesn’t matter. Still the cover up, or the attempt at it, goes on.
But now we all know, confirmed over and over again, what has gone on. And it was confirmed even from their own ranks within the Deep State, within media or press, and by the Left. They don’t care that we know either and that is where war could begin.
Ordinarily, the main objective is to expose and reveal it. That is the starting point. The goalpost has shifted. It is out in the open now but the players cannot be coerced or forced to do the right thing. It has been so long. And so far there has been no power to force it.
No more pretenses. Lawlessness is the bomb.
This is the real dangerous spot. We now have lots of people who are willing to do anything, including breaking every law, to achieve their desires. (whatever crazy things those are) But this monstrosity is working its deviant, defiant, criminal will to achieve its ends. They have no scruples. And we see repeatedly that nothing is going to stop them.
We thought a coup was the end game. We thought a gigantic cover up was the wider plot. Yet it was always much bigger than we thought.
I would like to leave you with a bit of good news only I really have none. If I happen to think of or run across any, I will let you know.
