Lifestyle Of A Nation

This article is more of a story. It also serves an ode to the 4th of July. I say story but it is actually a narrative, which is the way the Left operates. It unfolds more as a story though the narratives drive it.

Reimagining all the beautiful people.

As the pandemic escalated in New York, in listening to Gov Cuomo, a word popped out in his statement deliberately that is a euphemism of the left. He may not have invented it but he evoked it. He said when the pandemic is over we need to reimagine the way government operates. (paraphrased) He also applied it to hospitals and healthcare system in New York.

Now that word has been used many times. The Left uses it all the time. They say we have to “reimagine“: schools, criminal justice, bail, energy, economy, prisons, police, law enforcement, border security, the Supreme Court, suburbs, etc. Everything. That is a good thing to Dems? It never is.

Cuomo simply cut to the chase to reimagine government. But that has long been the goal of the left. Remember Obama lectured on transformational change. They were more concerned about instituting change than defining it. “Change you can believe in.”

Along with all this reimagining going on, they also want to reimagine our rights, particularly the first and second amendments already under assault. It would be hard to find anything Leftists do not favor reimagining because, in their view, that would always end up to their benefit.

Transformational change was the buzzword in 2010, and reimagine is the new term of art. First it was abolish the police, then it shifted to defunding the police. But it is the same thing. Now defunding has taken on baggage and reimagining sounds better, vague and neutral though it isn’t. They still have the same radical ideas. Transformation is now reimagine.

Lifestyle changes are the prescription and destination.

Normally in rehabilitation or addictions, the fix involves a lifestyle change to be successful. Professionals accept this too. Without lifestyle change the rehab can be temporal or even fail. So it seems a necessary step. However, institutional and cultural change agents want to force that effective lifestyle change on us to accommodate their radical transformational change.

That means get used to crime and its effects. We must adjust accordingly. The bail reform and corrupted justice system demands we adjust our lifestyle to fit it. The border problems and those who caused them are demanding we get used to it. That requires we alter our lifestyle.

Rather than criminals or aliens altering their lifestyle, they insist we change ours to accommodate them. The Left agrees, our lifestyle needs to change. When they change ours instead they accomplished their basic goal.

First, they radically reimagine institutions, our government and systems. Then predicable problems and failures occur. (blame is only a transitional gimmick) When outcries pour out, we are expected to change our lifestyle, not the other way around.

The problems become institutionalized, till we are forced to accept that as the new normal. But whatever happens, and it is never good, we cannot go back. So they demonize our past to discourage any return. Along the way, our moral ground has shifted. Of course all of this is intentional by design.

We should not be outraged at radical prosecutors but learn to accept consequences of high crime rates and lack of law enforcement. Accept lawlessness. What can you do?

Finally, when the lifestyle change is complete, our nation has been changed to fit — not the situation to fit the nation. Just like with individual agenda items, we cannot go back. Radicals are not about to let that happen. Then they will build further on those. Meanwhile, the word reform has morphed into the new code word for corrupt. Transformational decline.

They will continue to demonize, attack to bury everything in the past. While all this goes on in the present, there will be some people debating over whether this is intentional, severe incompetence, or just malicious? But that doesn’t matter; it is all intentional like the problems stemming from the border. They have ways to build upon chaos making them even worse, not better. Radicalism is only a means not the end result.

Naturally, as one would expect, managing the decline of a country requires a hell of a lot of reimagining. And that is what it is about.
