‘Scientists’: record cold due to a warming earth

American Thinker  — February 28, 2023

‘Scientists’ announce record cold due to a warming earth

By Jack Hellner

Leftists are pushing an agenda to destroy industries that produce reasonably priced energy by claiming those industries cause an existential threat of warming, that is causing extreme changes to the climate, that is threatening our survival.

Record cold temperatures, along with record snow and rain are obviously causing skepticism, so the pushers of the theory decided it was necessary to put out a piece of pure propaganda: that record cold temperatures occur because the earth is warming. I call B.S. From David Knowles in an article published yesterday:

“California has been hit with an especially cold and wet winter, in which low temperature records have been set and the Sierra snowpack is poised to eclipse its all-time high.”

People claim they can control and predict temperatures 100 years out, yet they somehow failed to predict this wet and cold winter. Their dire predictions in the past have been completely wrong; why should we now enact tyrannical policies based on future predictions?

If everything that we have been told caused warming actually caused warming, we would not see record cold and snow. We would not have had a 35-year cooling period between 1940-1975.

Temperatures have always fluctuated and always will. California had extreme droughts over 1,000 years ago, and it was these droughts, not humans and crude oil production, that created the state’s expansive desert landscape we see today.

It is no wonder people, including journalists, want to dumb down children so they don’t ask questions and do their own research. The left doesn’t mind that American children can’t read or do math at grade level — unthinking masses capitulate to government control. Also from Knowles:

“But the whiplash from one extreme to another is consistent with climate change, experts say. Since the start of the Industrial Revolution, California’s average temperatures have risen between 2-4 degrees Fahrenheit, and the dramatic variability seen in recent years is a consequence of that fact.”

Here is an article that people most likely won’t see. A former Reuters reporter, who was a bonafide climate cultist, now sees the truth. Reported on over at NewsBusters with the headline, “Former Reuters Reporter: I Was Wrong to Blame CO2 for Rising Temperatures” the text read:

“My Reuters credentials meant that I had easy access to the world’s finest climate scientists. To my amazement, none of these would say categorically that the link between CO2 and global warming, now known as climate change, was a proven scientific fact. Some said human production of CO2 was a probable cause, others that it might make some contribution; some said CO2 had no role at all. Everybody agreed that the climate had warmed over the last 10,000 years as the ice age retreated, but most weren’t really sure why. The sun’s radiation, which changes over time, was a favoured [sic] culprit.”

Maybe someday an enterprising reporter will also admit that there is also no correlation between oil, coal, natural gas, methane, and all the other things we are told cause warming and temperatures, sea levels, and storm activity. When there is no correlation there can be no causation. That is actual science.

Is Joe Biden’s Trajectory ‘Stupidity Squared’?

Here is a serious question to all those globetrotting intellectuals out there. Is Joe Biden in a nose dive, or is this just his natural trajectory?

Joe is out giving speeches and talking to dead people. He’s conjuring them out of the crowd like a seance. His press secretary thinks Jackie was just “top of mind” to Joe, so therefore he was telepathically communicating with dear Jackie.

Then the Vice President is over making great alliances with North Korea. I wonder if she could see the US from the Korean demilitarized zone?

Joey thinks the gas price is 2.99 and he believes he saved the country a trillion dollars. He thinks Rick Scott is from Wisconsin. He thinks spending money will reduce inflation. Biden believes when government cannot spend money that is a problem, but when you don’t have money to spend it is only a transition.

And we must be electric transformers, too, because he does not think we need a reliable and steady source of energy. He thinks spending money is supply-side economics.

Biden’s Homeland Security secretary says the border is secure. Nancy Pelosi claims Joe Biden has a plan for securing the border. But the open border is Biden’s plan.

One of Joe’s top fertility czars thinks men have babies now.

Joe believes spending 3/4 of a trillion dollars on climate change is reducing inflation, and reducing the deficit. They think we could prevent hurricanes by powering up solar panels and windmills, and getting rid of gas cars.

Biden thinks he is lowering the price of oil by depleting our strategic oil reserve. (or until  election)  Joe believes there was no inflation in August. But he thinks inflation is measured in inches. Then his Transportation Secretary believes roads and bridges are racist, too.

Joe, the crash-landing dummy, thinks transforming the gender of kids is gender affirmation.(or is it reaffirmation? Hard to keep up) Shall I just stop right there? Oh, he also went from saying he is willing to destroy the Nord Stream pipeline to suddenly promising to protect it. Wonder what his theory is on nuclear war?

Let’s not ask Joe what his pronouns are, deal? He couldn’t pronounce them anyway.

Joe’s 15 Minutes of Fame and Pain

With half the collective cognitive ability of an anthill, Joe Biden takes to the South Lawn for a pre-planned rally to celebrate inflation, while the market was tanking in real time – going south faster than Joe. It dropped 1200 points by the time he spoke.

‘Titanic move over, I’ve got a better band,’
It was better than an ice cream festival, for Lyin’ Biden.

After all, Joey didn’t have to explain anything. He had famous singer, songwriter James Taylor to do the interpretive messaging for him. Biden wanted to hear that favorite song, fire and rain. “I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain. I’ve seen sunny days I thought would never end…” Except that it is a song about suicide, pain and addiction.

I know, with the lyrics fire and rain, Joe was thinking climate change and to change the message from the creeping inflation. But Biden’s economy is lying in pieces on the ground, with our “sweet dreams” and lives hanging in the balance.

So I took the liberty to rework the lyrics a little — aka Corny Pop style.

I seen anger and I seen pain,
I seen James try to put us in shame.

And I hope to never see that again,
From my rooftop or my poop-drop.

But our time may be at hand,
If we don’t oppose their plans and take a stand.

“Lord knows when the cold wind blows it’ll turn your head around.”

This reminds me that those valiant musicians are always my go to sources for politics and influence, or as the left believes. Them and celebrities have the best political advice.

‘Cause I know damn well musicians got their finger right on the pulse of the people and  important problems in America. Maybe I’ll write a song about that. Cheers to those preening, musical Nostradumasses! Hats off to you.

What Is The Meaning Of Reduction?

I’m tired of weekly definition games. What is the real definition of recession in 2022, post-Biden? Now the definition of reduction is in question. Quick, we need a new meaning.

Webster’s must love Democrats but count me out.

Good going Democrats, you are passing something called the “Inflation Reduction Act” that does nothing to reduce inflation. Congratulations, you are on a roll.

That is exactly the problem in politics and Washington, primarily with Democrats. When do we call this fraud? I know, they have been running a shell game for decades but that doesn’t make it any better. Words do mean something.

Let me get this straight: you lie to the feds in an investigation, you go to jail; but Democrats write a lie into law and enter it into the record. They call it a red, white and blue bill.  As former Ohio Congressman James Traficant said, “beam me up, Scotty!”

How about if you went to the doctor and he prescribed a placebo, calling it the brand new cancer cure drug? By the time you could figure that out, it wouldn’t matter anymore.

That’s a similar principle to deflation reduction. But when it does not quite do what is advertised — which anyone should already know — then they will try to debate the definition of inflation. They’ll claim if it did not go down, or did not go up, that is a success. If inflation goes up, they’ll claim it worked because it would have been worse if they did not pass it. Then you can debate the meaning of success and failure.

Now if they called it the Keep Inflation Going Act (KIGA), it might have a chance of being honest. But they can’t do that. Truthful is the last thing Democrats can be in Wishington. It is whatever you choose it to be — depending on the meaning of the word “is,” too.

It is only one dang thing over another, and the transitional meaning of words until no one knows what anything means anymore. Like gender can be whatever you want it to mean. A man can be a birthing person. Pick an identity… but no cultural appropriation, please!

Social justice means no justice, where District Attorneys are really defense attorneys. Sanctuary cities became danger zones and turf wars. Riots are peaceful protests. Safe zones on campuses are anti-speech zones. Social workers can replace racist police.

Remember the same people call January 6th an insurrection. They say it was a coup. When we have an open border, they call it secure and closed. No one should notice. Horse’s reins became whips. Doing one’s job is now a violation of conduct.

When we used the word inflation last year, Democrats decried that did not exist. It was a temporary snafu.  But now Dems need a fake inflation reduction act. We called the border a crisis and they said it was no such thing. A crisis becomes business as usual.

But the minute Dems turned the page from a pandemic, they ran to call Climate Change a crisis. Oh, and climate change is what this Inflation Reduction Act is supposed to solve. IRA is the mini-me of Build Back Better, which is just like the New Green Deal.

So they need to address the inflation now, after denying it. Funding of inflation anyone?

The budding recession is not a recession either. It’s a mushroom. It is not a technical recession, Dems say, by the experts’ definition. If Dems do not admit it, maybe it will turn into a recovery — which is what they call recession now. That must be a yellow brick road.

Sen Schumer says “it’s as plain as the nose on your face that this will reduce inflation.”

Nothing means anything when we have a geriatric president with dementia, who declares things are whatever he says. He is not tethered to reality. If he sees flying pigs, okay, or until he sees one-horse ponies, or lying dog-faced pony soldiers roaming the White House.

Well, driving a big rig years ago did that to Joe. If he believes there were 80 million votes, then there must have been. Now if only Dems can keep those sneaky Republicans from cheating on the next election, just like they always do. (sigh in sarcasm)

“Think I’m joking?” Concerned parents are terrorists. DOJ is a Department of Injustice.

As Liz Cheney says about the J-6 inquisition: “what is great about it (Jan 6th committee) is that we don’t have people grandstanding or taking cheap political shots.” Nope!

Don’t worry, if things do get out of hand or don’t go Dems’ way, they can always call out the fact-chuckers to dispense with reality, as necessary, to accommodate their fantasies.

(Now if I can only figure out what a one-horse pony is? Webster!)

Call Them Crazy

Just to show you how weird things got now, yesterday I looked on Twitter to find Adam and Steve were trending. You can imagine what that was all about. No longer Adam and Eve, it’s Adam and Steve now. Sadly, it is just one more absurdity.

Last week I heard the LGBTQRST community loves dinosaurs so much they think dinosaurs belong to them, for some uncanny reason. I’m thinking of Jurassic Park in different way. What is it with these people, why do they have to steal everything?

LGBTQs appropriated the rainbow to symbolize their sexual identity groups. Any other meaning is officially abolished. And dinosaurs belong to them, too. Why do they need to possess everything they like? It seems like some kind of obsessive compulsive disorder.

That would be akin to someone walking through a beautiful garden and stealing a bunch of flowers saying, “they are mine now.” Then merrily skipping home with their loot.

But Adam and Steve? That’s creative. Can anyone tell me which one took the first bite out of the apple? I’m dying to know. Adam’s ribs created Steve? How wonderful, for what may I ask? Now I’m curious where that story leads?

Not to be outdone, Al Gore comes out to compare “climate change deniers” to cops in Uvalde, who stood there for over an hour instead of engaging the shooter. I really think the guy has his analogies mixed up.

Maybe he and the rest of his authoritarian leftists ought to stop trying to hold us hostage to their emotional climate schemes. The guy needs his own electric grid just for himself.

But really he’s like a squirrel with one nut lodged in his mouth and another stuck in his ass. Who did Al Gore ever save from anything?

What needs to be engaged is people like Gore trying to bamboozle society on the basis of some religious fanaticism. He said it should not be political? The left hyper-politicized it and built golden idols to it. Now they want us to acknowledge it (climate) as a god. And if you don’t agree with them, they will burn you at the stake — metaphorically of course, at least for now. They just can’t leave people alone.

Then the denizen of crazy in California, Gavin Newsom, decided to walk on the political waters by running an ad to attack Florida and Gov DeSantis. So he attacks him on freedom and education. The crackdown governor must have got a hold of Hunter’s crack pipe. He says, come to California to enjoy liberty. (even as people are fleeing Cali) He gets a WH award for innovation in education. Self-serving hat tip from teachers’ unions.

But that is the idea to reframe everything as if they are the one’s trying to save freedom. Right on cue, Democrats are now the ones defending and supporting police. Yeah, right. They are also the ones fighting crime, too. Where do they get such nonsense?

Dems just make it up and hope people will believe it and forget the 550 riots in 2020, while they literally stood there and did nothing as buildings burned, police stations were attacked and cops murdered. All for some narrative everyone knows is a lie. Democrats donated to Marxist thugs’ bail fund, and our VP said they should never stop.

Democrats supported these commie thugs. And now they stand back and defend rogue DA’s  across the country that are destroying communities from inside out and top down. But Democrats are anti-crime, don’t you know?

Oh and Dems also supported the abolish the cops movement, which they rebranded as defunding police to make it more palatable. Of course now they deny supporting that movement. They are all about funding police now…. or so they say. When is enough with all this bullshit craziness?

But remember education was such a catastrophe in the pandemic with all the teachers’ unions supporting lock-downs and shutdowns of our public schools. That went well. You know Biden was fully behind that because, as he says, he sleeps with the teachers’ unions.

Just look at education now. The state of education today only tells us what the education of the State really is. That education says it is for public safety to shutdown schools or lock-down society. It’s for the good!

I’ve pretty much had it with Leftist radicals calling us the crazies. It’s not working. Makes our isle of common sense into paradise.

So look out for swaggering Libtards: worse than zombies, more dangerous than vampires. They appear out of nowhere because that’s where they belong.

Cause Affects Us All

Since we discussed the stupidity of what Biden is doing, we still don’t know the why? Yes, it matters. So where is intent in all this?

More and more people are saying that what Biden is doing is purely intentional. That goes from the border to the economy. It’s hard to ignore intention. At least you can solidly be sure that all this pain and damage is not by accident. It couldn’t be.

Adding even more evidence to it is the rush to politicize problems and use them to push their Leftist political agenda. Every time. So are any of these catastrophes in the “oops, did I do that” camp? There is just no incentive anymore to do the right thing.

Our pain is their gain. They have no shame about it. We must lose for them to win.

They seem to see the country flailing in the wind as they carefully guide us into a poisonous cesspool of national policy to satisfy their political agenda. Why should any political agenda be so opposed to the will of the people? How could that be popular?

Larry Kudlow coined a term. He calls it Immaculate Inflation — because they don’t know what caused it; maybe it’s a gift from heaven? But they have no responsibility for it.

Well, even if the intent is there for anyone looking at it.

Politicizing Petroleum Policy

The Putin Russia invasion of Ukraine has exposed the tender underbelly where oil intersects public policy and where war intersects climate. But the Left simply forgets that oil and energy is a national security issue.

It is fruitless to even talk about hypocrisy anymore. But in the hearings with the big oil companies, it has gone further than just hypocrisy. Democrats want it both ways. They want immediate increased production but they make no bones they want to cut the oil market completely. Last year, they wanted massive cuts in oil and fossil fuel production. All to appease their radical left, climatology political agenda.

Democrats don’t want to cut production, they want to eliminate it. Wipe it forever off the face of the earth. So while they cry now demanding more, they actually want zero.

But consumers know the basic fact very well of a market relying on supply and demand. They know that ultra high prices require more production to alleviate those high costs. Prices may appear out of control but the industry is increasingly more controlled by government and radical politicians.

The Democrats don’t mind begging from unfriendly dictators who don’t like us much. Actually, they gave them all that leverage over us for free.

The problem is there are environmental impacts of so-called renewables. They require minerals, mining and indeed have an affect on environment. Calling them “clean renewables” is an oxymoron. Plastics are another example of endless oil products. How many plastics are incorporated into their green-dream products? And you will have the same hoarding potential and environmental difficulties in ramping up renewable markets. We already see it around the world. The same departments that control and obfuscate the oil sector will plague the renewable sector. Government control does that.

For years, people railed against a government command economy — not to be confused with supply and demand markets –for exactly that reason. It sort of takes market problems out of the equation.

At one time maybe Democrats only lusted for full control of the oil industry, the way Putin controls it in Russia. Now they simply want to eliminate it altogether. Once upon a time we called it a war on coal, then it became a war on fossil fuels and evolved into a full-blown war on energy. They claimed that was not so, but now they  boast about a war against all fossil fuel energy.

Democrats talk out of both sides of their mouths; they want it both ways.

I listened to the hearings just to come away with one conclusion. If Democrats wanted to be lobbyists against big oil — for renewables — they could do that. But they are elected to Congress to represent the interests of the country. And if Joe Biden wanted to be a union organizer, like Obama, he could have been one. But that is not the job of the president.

Things that have made this country run and improved our lives for years, creating millions of jobs, are now preferred targets of society. They simply have no respect for how we got here. In fact, there is an effort to erase the entire roadmap. Well, there is always satire.

Paul Revere’s Ride

“Listen, my children, and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,
On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-Five:
Hardly a man is now alive
Who remembers that famous day and year.”
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow – 1807-1882

But when Paul Revere rode out to alarm fellow countrymen, his horse emitted large amounts of waste in the process. Shouldn’t we factor in the age of the horse, with how much gas and waste it produced over its lifetime? Or how many people – white, black or Native Americans — who were negatively affected by these equestrian contributions? Must not we calibrate all those numbers into a new formula? Surely, based on a quick summary, we could see that the horse negatively impacted the environment, and humans, more than it benefited us all.

So it is long past time to take some retributive actions against these equestrian terrorists of the environment. Sure, the horse might have  made Paul Revere’s trip possible but at what calamitous cost to the earth? If we only knew or realized then what we now know , we could have prevented all that pain.

Paul — the meddling silversmith and industrialist he was — did not need to make his dumb trip for starters. And that asinine horse did not need to contribute to the “equitable” decay of our environment and climate, even for generations to come. This we can see clearly now because we have been awakened to the accumulative catastrophe of our deeds.

We did all that. Why the hell were horses not taxed for their environmental impact? No, instead we encouraged their use. This only compounded the problems. So based on any summary analysis on the subject, I can therefore say the entire horse industry contributed to the decline in our climate. That’s just a fact. Anything we can do to eliminate it, and nip the damage in the tail, would only benefit our clean American future.

Revere should have relaxed, stayed home, euthanized the damn horse, and saved us all from our current fate. What a selfish bastard he turned out to be. Well, at least they could have increased the cost of horses to an unaffordable level so no idiot would have a chance to consider such a stunt, or misguided trip. ~~ Not so satirical end.

However, even more egregious with oil, they don’t want to just eliminate the industry, they want to politicize the entire industry. We’ve seen this in every government agency. Now they want to do the same thing to virtually every company, especially big oil.

How that shakes out is demonstrated in the hearings themselves. Democrats bring CEOs in to rip them apart and demand they do this or that. So it automatically pairs Republicans with oil companies. After all, we are the only ones who believe they should exist.

Democrats have accused the oil companies of manipulating the market prices and profiteering, taking advantage of crises and current events. Democrats’ answer to those charges and high prices is to release the SPRO to manipulate market prices.

The other obvious conclusion is this shows why we do not ever want government in complete control of our energy, or companies who provide it. One day they want to cut supply and the next they want it increased, based primarily on their political objectives. That’s the way they run everything else they control, immigration for instance.

So then, what would it take to get rid of exorbitant high fuel prices? Get rid of half of Congress that has a fatwa against the industry. Then replace a radicalized president who cares more about his family’s lucrative income than America’s national security.

Sustainability Meets Its Match

Don’t you worry; the eviro-green people are busy thinking of new ways to use our bountiful resources in ever-sustainable ways. Out of the box.

Take this novel idea: someone took salmon sperm and mixed it with vegetable oil to create a gel-like substance that can be formed into all kinds of things.

It then hardens to become like a plastic. So they fancy all kinds of things it could be made into. One of the first items they created with it was a cup. Neat, uh?

They said that, unlike plastic, one bonus was its ability to be recycled since it is water-soluble. So adding water will turn it right back into gel. So much for the cup, eh?

But don’t worry because they go on to expound that for this reason it would have to be used on things that need to be kept dry like in electronic equipment or packaging. Okay.

Yeah, I bet some heads will explode over at the UL – Underwriters Laboratory. They are going to just love this great idea. But read it in Euronews Green.

Just search: ‘Sperm used to create eco-friendly alternative to plastic.’ — How many articles could there be matching that criteria?

I’m sure people can think of all kinds of creative uses for this innovative substance.

Maybe we could make shower chairs for the elderly with it? Sky is the limit. Okay, boats are  probably out. I wonder how those salmon feel about this definition of sustainability?

Politics Of A Pandemic

Everyone now knows how bad an epidemic is. As if we needed a lesson on that. Indeed, it is a powerful thing. But how powerful?

Yes, a pandemic is powerful, not only how it can kill people.

But we have learned that a pandemic was powerful enough to determine who should be President of the United States and our way of life. Who knew a pandemic could do that?

Well, it even determined how we would run elections. It determined who were the winners and losers in the economy. It determined how we should educate our kids or work.

It is a very omnipresent thing, this Chinese virus from hell.

Why stop there? It should also determine world economic affairs. It should determine our global warming agenda. It can create a Great Reset. It can determine our economic system, our energy source. It should also determine what governments can do to citizens under the guise of an emergency.

“There is an urgent need for global stakeholders to cooperate in simultaneously managing the direct consequences of the COVID-19 crisis. To improve the state of the world, the World Economic Forum is starting The Great Reset initiative.” — [from Great Reset forum site]

It is no joke. They can do all this, or anything they want, under the auspices of a “pandemic.” That means they have found a way to politicize even a pandemic. And then they easily find ways to weaponize it against every faucet of our society.

Now no one likes a pandemic. No one hopes for one. But few could have expected the ways in which it could be used against the people as a weapon. If you had serious issues about the expanse of government power before, then this tool put your fears on another level.

For instance, we also learned this pandemic could determine rules and authorize freedoms of speech, religion or assembly. And it could be weaponized to limit those rights, too.

So if you did not see a pandemic as a national security issue as well, you were in for a surprise. It was not a matter of determining rights or banning them, it was essentially a manner of control.

This China virus gave ruling elites carte blanche to do what they will to people. Connect it to global economic policies and you have a cocktail from hell.

A forum in June with world leaders inspired them all to use the pandemic to push as much globalism, climate change policy as they could. Think of the pandemic as an opportunity to install their agenda. You might call it the new green deal-maker.

“Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed,” wrote Klaus Schwab, the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, in an article published on WEF’s website. “In short, we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.” – The Hill

If that were not bad enough, then any cure or vaccine easily presents another good opportunity to control people. Or, as Zeke Emanuel sees it, we need to determine who does or doesn’t get the vaccine. Of course age limits need to determine that. And a magical 75-year life span would be a good cutoff for the use of valuable resources like medicine.

Everyone see where all this is going? Turns out a pandemic can be a very useful thing, even a tool. The virus as a huge political opportunity Leftist who politicized and weaponized the entire apparatus extort it so easily that I bet many kids will not realize the way in which the pandemic was used like a tool to control or influence their lives.

But now the Left has done something even more amazing than grant all this authority to it, it has personified a pandemic into a rogue dictator that gets to control your life. It is no longer a thing. The Democrats, however, can hide their deeds behind it which keeps them unaccountable for the actions. Who knew a pandemic was that powerful?

Think about that Great Reset button next time Democrats say they are following science.

Exhibit B: Justin Trueau at UN conference September 29, 2020

“This pandemic has provided an opportunity for a Reset. This is our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to re-imagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality, and climate change.” — J. Trudeau, reported by Climate Depot

Great Reset: Radical Global Economic Transformation

Introducing the ‘Great Reset,’ world leaders’ radical plan to transform the economy

By Justin Haskins, Opinion Contributor — The Hill — 06/25/20

For decades, progressives have attempted to use climate change to justify liberal policy changes. But their latest attempt – a new proposal called the “Great Reset” – is the most ambitious and radical plan the world has seen in more than a generation.

At a virtual meeting earlier in June hosted by the World Economic Forum, some of the planet’s most powerful business leaders, government officials and activists announced a proposal to “reset” the global economy. Instead of traditional capitalism, the high-profile group said the world should adopt more socialistic policies, such as wealth taxes, additional regulations and massive Green New Deal-like government programs.

“Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed,” wrote Klaus Schwab, the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, in an article published on WEF’s website. “In short, we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.”

Schwab also said that “all aspects of our societies and economies” must be “revamped,” “from education to social contracts and working conditions.”

Joining Schwab at the WEF event was Prince Charles, one of the primary proponents of the Great Reset; …./

And may I just say that somewhere out there is is a giant middle finger to you from millions of people. Not that you really care!

Coming Bailout Candidates?

I am very troubled by something because when you start being cynical about powers that be, you begin to predict their sinister moves. Too often predictions are proved out.

That fear is that, somehow or somewhere, the corrupt and contemptible politicians would try to use this aid package or another one to benefit unions. Unfortunately that doesn’t sound so far-fetched. But how do I mean?

It is entirely speculative but I mean an intentionally direct scheme to try to bail out union pensions. Look, we’ve known the numbers for years. Those same powerful unions will have their hands out since businesses are getting help.

Their allies in Congress, on your dime, are more than willing and capable enough to try to pull it off. Shutter to think!

Full disclosure: I am a vested pension member of the Teamsters. Our local has been in restructuring or Chapter 11 for decades now. (Hard to think of the time they weren’t) We know the condition of public employee pensions. All very powerful lobbying voices.

Well, if that happened, all hell would break loose and shred what little confidence people have for DC. But Democrats wouldn’t care about that one bit, to make it even worse.

I mean just the idea they attempt some bailout to unions will be a disaster, whether it has any chance of happening or not. Call it a wild hunch.

For my and America’s sake, I hope my guess is wrong but I don’t put it past them. The Left has already tried all the other stuff on their agenda. Do you think unions are going to sit back while all this exponential spending is going on?

Union bailout…. Hoffa, can you hear me?

Feeling The Bern

Unfortunately, not enough attention has been paid to Bernie’s ideas and campaign bling. Unfortunately, more attention must be paid to Bernie’s campaign. See the problem; who wants to do that? Not the media that’s for sure. And we conservatives could live without being carpet-bombed by Bernie juice 24/7, as depressing as that sounds.

However, it seems that some in the media are finally taking note of a Bernie campaign hallmark which media is calling the “Bernie Bros” problem, like online threats from Bernie supporters to silence or intimidate his other political opponents. Why the sudden concern? Because now he actually has some competition in the DNC. And because his supporters have seen this movie before and know how it ends. Call it bad blood or a family feud within the DNC. There is something for them to be paranoid about.

But Bernie’s campaign has always been dirty from the beginning. We know about it from 2016 in Chicago. We know how they operate in a cozy alliance with anarchists like Antifa. The Democrats usually love those operational tactics of the radical left when they are not targeted at them. But now they are. At least since the Bernie Bros tactics have gotten so prevalent against other Democrats, media is finally giving it some sorely needed attention. A little late. I mean this is what Bernie Bros do. In fairness, it is how Democrats in general operate. Just that Dems don’t like the threats and intimidation on themselves.

So on a Tuesday night town hall with Anderson Cooper, Bernie Sanders was finally asked directly about it. He magically condemns all bullying tactics, don’t you know? Bernie went into denial mode claiming he found some of those complaints, like those leveled by Culinary Union members, about threats hard to believe. To its credit, media have been reporting some of them. A lot of it happens online where Bernie Bros can single people out to attack them. Followed by other various forms of threatening contact. Face it, radicals are skilled in the art. But Hillary’s people were no angels on tactics in 2016 either. This time Bernie’s people are preemptively spoiling for a fight. Actually, radicals have learned these tactics work and have never been held to account for them, until now anyway.

That makes Bernie’s blanket denials and faux ignorance about it so laughable. He knows. Sanders told Anderson and the crowd that he found it hard to believe anyone in his campaign would do such things because his is the campaign of unions and much of their base is unions. It would not be possible. Then he branched out to other campaigns do bad things. He did go as far as condemning bullying. But we all know the Berie Bros’ tactics are used and incorporated in his campaign. We’ll see more of it this year into the convention. Democrats and media only seem to be waking up to feeling the real Bern of Bernie Bros.

On another matter, Bernie claimed in 2016 he received 25% of support from conservative Republicans. (from all conservatives or of his total support is unclear) He suggested getting more and thinks there is plenty of common areas. He said conservatives would probably agree with a 15-dollar minimum wage, prison reforms, his healthcare plans and funding college education. Really? But these hardly sound like any conservatives I know.

That could be his wishful perception. Socialists and commies typically resort to deception to get people to buy their ideas. And it requires a good illusionist to work the scam. When it all aligns the right way, they get willing dupes to sign on. The other key ingredient is using anger: at the system, at other people, at the rich, at institutional greed. That brings home the bacon. But it only works until the audience gets onto the gimmick. At that point, it requires cognitive denial of reality and then you are only along for the ride.

He also said he would win because of the largest voter turnout in history. Socialists and commies will deliver the largest voter turnout, take it to the bank — or from it?

So the Bernie Bro thing is real, and so are all the tactics. He continued on by bashing corporations and their ability to make money. He says he will hold them accountable. What does that mean, really? We know what it means in socialist or communist regimes. Work with the government or we’ll consider you an enemy of the state, and set about destroying your business, means — or both. (sounds like the the Bernie Bros’ campaign tactics.)

Then he talked about creating a big-government, FDR-type jobs plan in the aftermath of the sustainable new green deal’s economic slaughter. He doesn’t agree with welfare limits. He encourages more new teachers to have an influence on kids. He sees a day soon when no teacher makes less than 60k. Thanks to Bernie Bros. He can never hide the effects.

How about all those economic controls? Feel the burn!
If you aren’t feeling the burn yet, you just aren’t feeling.

I’m not crazy, just following the rules

I sort of wonder what is going on and what is next on the list today, since everything is now politicized anyway? It’s interesting to see what stuff Leftists come up with and how fast.

I think I’d like to play the game the way the Left does. Every time they do something I don’t like, we tell them the ocean just rose another 1/4 inch because of it. And yes, we did not yet switch to the metric system and we are still getting by. Thank goodness.

So every time they do something I don’t like, wham, tell them they just shortened their own life expectancy. They are costing the planet a few months. Can we keep that up?

Trump announced the government will no longer continue an agenda against light bulbs. You can buy the light bulbs you want. Well that should be a problem for Leftists. I wonder what fear they will hold over us for that? That just shaved 50 years off the life of earth.

What will Trump think up or do next? No wonder he is dangerous. He makes the Left think up all these crazy new threats based on what he does. So maybe they will tax thoughts next? Stop people from creating new ideas and thereby extend the life of the planet.

And to protest that new tax, I have an idea. They say solar flares are our next big problem. We should fight fire with fire. We build a machine that shoots flames at the flares to burn them up before they can harm anything. We’ll need fuel for it. How about we use those same self-sacrificing leftists for the fuel? That way we cure two problems at the same time. They do say they don’t want to live in a world with all this new innovation and its freedom going on. We’re ruining the planet. Anyway, I see more than enough fuel for the job.

Well, it’s either that or we just scare them to death with what we are going to do next. It doesn’t seem to take much. How else could I assist them in solving problems?

That reminds me, the twitterverse has been shrieking for a week over Trump’s comments about flushing WH toilets too much. Who knew conserving water was a problem to the left? Only when Trump tries it. Then he is like some crazy uncle saying “stop flushing the toilets all the time.” They’d rather see him as nuts than making sense… whatever that takes.

A Helping Hand to Democrat Candidates

I apologize here but I’m beginning to feel sorry for Democrat candidates.

CNN talked to Terry McAuliffe about Trump and 2020. He said Democrat candidates, besides demagoguing the Trump agenda, should tell people what they are going to do on the issues. You know, what they are going to do to fix the mess Dems say we are in.

So, against my better judgment, I’m going to help by saying what they are going to do, if elected. Because they are so busy attacking Trump, I’ll say it for them.

They are going to:

  • Raise your taxes (repeatedly)
  • Give illegal aliens free healthcare.
  • Give everyone free healthcare – institute healthcare tax to offset costs.
  • Give illegal aliens free college tuition.
  • Give everyone free college education.
  • Restructure the Supreme Court, so it is forever stacked for liberals.
  • Abolish ICE.
  • Abolish or drastically reduce the Department of Homeland Security. Break it up at least so agencies cannot talk to and coordinate with each other.
  • Eliminate any walls on the border.
  • Hook up any illegal immigrants with our welfare system immediately.
  • Provide amnesty or citizenship to illegal aliens here now.
  • Spend much more in Latin America to fix countries so people will not want to come.
  • Re-politicize the DOJ. Construct barriers to firing anyone for due cause.
  • Eliminate charter schools because parents and children cannot have a choice.
  • Raise minimum wage to 15 dollars.
  • Convert our healthcare system into single payer Medicare for all.
  • Eliminate private health insurance.
  • Enact the ‘assault weapons’ ban
  • Expand national gun control over all guns and ammunition.
  • Remove names or statues of anyone tied to anything we deem offensive.
  • Give reparations to African Americans.
  • Pass laws against white structural racism rampant in our country.
  • Remove funding from the military to apply it toward our domestic programs.
  • Outlaw coal and oil development and target those companies in the sector.
  • Lower the national voter age to 16.
  • Remove any limitations on abortion with national laws.
  • Reenact the death tax.
  • Raise federal taxes on wealthy to 70% on an upward scale from there.
  • Repeal the entire Tax cut legislation.
  • Open immigration to all who want to come. No one is denied entry.
  • Cut police forces and any government subsidies they receive.
  • Cut border patrol.
  • Release 1/3 of all inmates from prison. Close a third of our prisons.
  • Return the right to vote to all ex-cons.
  • Let all residents of any city or town have the right to vote.
  • Reenter Paris Accord, whatever the cost, with savings from our military.
  • Enact the Green New Deal.
  • Reestablish the Iran deal. (consider penalty funds to Iran)
  • Stop all money and aid to Israel. Increase all aid to Palestine.
  • Politicize the EPA and then have them write the strictest most restrictive environmental and economic limitations known to man.

Well, it’s only a start since it is still early in the campaign. I know this is a pretty extensive and aggressive list, but they are up to it. And a little publicity goes a long way.

Morality of the Beast

It’s a strange new world, and the religion of the left has taken center stage.

AOC lectures us about the morality of Climate Change, while they joyfully push for late-term abortion even infanticide as hard as they can. But we are the deniers?

Reality check! Toto, we’re not in Kansas anymore.
Politics of evil.

US Largest Global Crude Producer

Now here is something the left probably never wanted to be number one at.

San Antonio Business Journal

Sep 12, 2018, 2:46pm CDT Updated 2 days ago Production in the nation’s shale basins has helped the U.S. surpass Russia and Saudi Arabia to become the world’s largest crude oil producer, preliminary figures from the Energy Information Administration show.

American exploration and production companies are now producing an estimated 10.9 million barrels of crude oil per day, according to the EIA’s latest Short-Term Energy Outlook report released on Wednesday. Based on preliminary data, EIA officials believe that crude oil production in the U.S. surpassed Saudi Arabia in February and surpassed Russia twice — once in June and again in August.

The figures mark the first time that domestic crude oil production has surpassed Saudi Arabia in more than two decades. Although the EIA does not publish crude oil production forecasts for Russia and Saudi Arabia, the agency expects that U.S. crude oil production will continue to exceed that of Russia and Saudi Arabia through 2019.

https://www.bizjournals.com/sanantonio/news/2018/09/12/united-states-now-the-largest-global-crude-oil.html

Oops, the energy denier crowd is not going to like that. The second part of the oil issue is why the rise in gas prices? Now that sanctions will be back on Iran, it will be another excuse for higher oil prices. Though when they dropped Iran sanctions, the only beneficiary was Iran and a few of its trading partners. Of course on the left they would enjoy sky high gas and energy prices. At least for the time being congrats to US anyway.

DNC Melltdown

As midterm elections start to heat up, with all the primaries going off in every state, you might see enthusiasm among Democrats. You might even think they are the ones with the unified momentum. Well, you may be wrong if you do. I’m not spinning it, I don’t need to.

Here’s why, first. Take a good look at the bare cupboards in the DNC. Then take a glance at their big funders. You know who they are: Tom Steyer to George Soros and a basket of others. It is not as important who they are as what they are. They are the hair on fire, far-left radicals that drive the Party. But more importantly, drive any base. DNC is out.

–(Open Secrets)———-Total Raised——–Total Spent——Cash on Hand——–Debts
Democratic Party——–$510,732,825—-$405,218,739—-$139,922,483—-$11,902,719
Republican Party——–$630,554,660—-$426,703,807—-$150,139,527—–$1,650,056
Demo National Cmte —$110,040,264—-$112,645,182——$9,185,284——-$6,353,378
Repub National Cmte –$213,054,677—-$187,695,079—–$50,687,610————$0

And now there is a fairly new big player, not really new. The ACLU has been stepping in, or should I say kicking in to drive many races. So they are in more than ever. We are literally now running against ACLU and Planned Parenthood.Chelsea tipped their hand. Twist Roe into economics, if your economic message is as vacuous as your political one.

But then look at the DNC coffers. They aren’t just empty, they are in big debt. Not only are they on the financial verge of bankruptcy but the Party is bankrupt on ideas as well. They still blame Obama who left the Party in shambles. Then Hillary. There is very little cash on hand and a lot of debt. What do these factors mean?

Enter my opinion and just that. They will manage because they always find a way to flow some money. However, what is happening is the big funders, i.e. special funders and special interests will fill the gap. People are not funding the party, instead putting gas in the tanks of candidates and causes. Money is flowing around the DNC. Read again, Democrats are not funding their own Party. It is all but irrelevant, at least as any central Party apparatus. By design? I doubt it. They just cannot fund it. And who would put much confidence in it after the way it worked in 2016? So they are going around it. No credibility is telling.

Don’t just take my word for it, listen to others make the case. A WaPo opinion piece by Ed Rogers in June described the dire Democrat Party conditions as unraveling. (I refuse to call it Democratic) And now good reason to use that term instead of their preferred one.

In the meantime, the Democratic Party appears to be dismantling itself. Outside groups are fighting their own fights, donors are being pulled away, and potential Democratic presidential candidates show no sign of being party-builders. If you believe in the two-party system, you know this isn’t good. Party discipline has eroded, and that makes it harder to govern once a party is elected to power. We need reforms that empower parties and candidates and diminish the influence of deep-pocketed plutocrats and narrowly focused interest groups.

Well then, is the fat lady warming up her vocal chords? All he can do is make the case for the “two party system”. But is it really a two party system anymore, I mean really? Regardless of how the DNC finances look, is it half of a two party system? I don’t think so. Even the author points to the non cohesive and unconventional funding. What does that say? I don’t see a party unity. It’s a grab bag of mostly socialist ideas bickering for turf. While Bernie might be ecstatic, when the dog finally catches the car what happens?

I think they have big problems. Maybe they are all smoking some real good stuff over there but how about the unity and love? It’s not there. While the Republicans are unified, to some greater degree on issues and a platform, Democrats are flailing about making a lot of noise, with no central theme or purpose. Many years ago I would have prayed for this scenario, a disunited party and bad if any leadership. Worse yet for them, seems no one can reign in the Party or their dire finances. It’s broke. But the people of the party are broke apart too. The screaming and yelling make up for, or paper over, the empty shell that remains of a party. There’s nothing there.

They can trot out the Alinsky stuff, bring out the Marxist ideas, plug in their socialist values, get fired up for a few key races, do a few marches and fundraisers; but in the end, what do you really have? A hot mess that’s what. The great divide in overdrive.

It would be a mistake to try to run an election against an empty bankruted party. What do you focus on? There is nothing there? Call it what it is. Before you get too excited, we still run against the socialist party they are, only we are not running against a party structure. You are basically running against all these splintered special interest groups. Though the only thing that does tie any of it together is a socialist agenda. That is where the energy is. You can no longer say or talk to the moderate, sane ones, or adults in the room. peel off a few. There are none. Everyone is just out for their thing, whatever bad acid trip it is. But they are a long way from any resemblance to unity, virtually on anything.

Sure they agree on issues here and there, but not on direction or a central vision. They want to abolish ICE and do something to cops and hate Trump. They are the anti-party now. Their resistance is all that defines them or unites them. That may be where the solidarity is but there’s a random hodgepodge everywhere else, including in funding which does matter. That funding is a collection of special interests. You could call them a party of special interests, but even that wouldn’t be really fair. Even special interest have more cohesive unity than that. The people are not really united. It’s a giant illusion. We shouldn’t fall for thinking that it is some solidly united party. What is missing?

Any defining leadership – MIA. Nancy Pelosi recently made statements to reinforce her leadership but then she blamed the press and media for trying to divide them. Wow, a tell that is. Blaming the press now? Bad when you have to blame the strongest allies of the Party. And media has drifted along its own far left course. Nancy may be on an isle all by herself. Does she dare take on media? She can’t. They are all she has to try to control it.

In the last almost two months, I see nothing that has improved or changed for Democrats. It’s still a party of misfits. Interesting that this whole meltdown happens at this time, when Republicans are unified in issues and a message with Trump having consolidated his approval. It looks like a time to close the deal. I mean any questions have been resolved and Party unity high, we now know what he can do, we’ve seen it. All we need is the how. And that is where the midterms come in, with a new Supreme Justice on the way, and tax cuts in the rear view, we have a good economic message. So there are problems, so what? There are always problems. But this kind of unity can’t be wasted at such a time when our enemy (opponents) have none.

Put it this way, politically, the trends on the other side are not positive. They are negative. And what they are really running on is all negative. Who can get behind that with any enthusiasm? I know, never underestimate the Party of Stalin. But Republicans seem to have found their voice, finally, and the fog is lifting. They’re perpetually underestimated.

The fork is ready….the lady is standing in the wings getting anxious. Someone could say but in the end, the Democrats always unify. Except on what this time? There’s nothing cohesive there, like their bank accounts.

Sneak attacks from Paris Accord train

I read this op-ed in the NYT, preferred toilet tissue for those in the know. However, it does pay to see what they say once in a while, even with a jaundice eye and flexing eyebrows.

The Times Editorial Board describes Trump’s jump off the Paris Accord train as “America in Retreat.” But then it does it while a terrorist attack goes down in London. See there is no time that is not a good time to attack Trump. And that is all it was.

You would think it might be laced with the benefits of staying in the Paris Accord. No, it was only a criticism for leaving it. How dare you. But it failed to mention any benefits that we would get out of it.

Sure, we know the world gains from US being in it. They want our money. Another Globul scheme that we will chiefly fund. Excuse me, aren’t we having those problems in other world organizations? So no painful losses for us bailing out of the latest Globul scheme.

Their biggest point was that we are shirking, or ceding, our leadership by fleeing from it. That’s the big problem, and that is reprehensible to their ideological view.

We just got rid of a president who believed in leading from behind, who was all for this agreement, but somehow we are foregoing our leadership by withdrawing? In all his twisted foreign policy failures, Obama never once put America first and certainly did not prove his theory correct. He gained nothing from all the apologies he spouted from Cairo to Russia. Yet now we are abandoning our leadership position? Even at home he did not put the will of the people or our priorities first. Instead, he set his priorities of green energy first at the expense of everything else, and wasted countless millions on programs that didn’t work or went belly up, along with our money. Then he branded it a success.

(NYT) Still, Mr. Trump and his team, embroiled in controversy over Russia and other matters, have shown no inclination, much less skill, to do the hard thinking that must precede any decision to alter America’s role in the world.

So right on the heels of having given the world a tragedy of an Iran deal, which benefited Iran, Obama headed straight down his homestretch to get into a Paris Deal that offered nothing but another giant expense for us. That, he claimed, was leadership. Setting up any global slush fund is now called leadership — the bigger the better.

But we were always supposed to be cautious of foreign entanglements that threaten our sovereignty. That is exactly why Obama and the left like to dabble in them so much.

Perfect example: it didn’t take long, when Trump was contemplating the withdraw from the Paris accord, for media and press to ramp up means that you would not have thought possible. Yes, they insisted that to withdraw from the Paris treaty — can we now at least call it that — was, in fact, a threat to our sovereignty. Oh yes they did! Every reason we gave for withdrawing they tried to reverse to make it a reason we should stay in it.

The exact opposite of their rhetoric was true. It was a treaty masquerading as an executive order. If it was so popular they would have had no problem getting Senate approval, which they wouldn’t do because it would not pass. It was the same Constitutional principle they avoided on the Iran deal. Yet they went ahead and did it anyway.

Now they claim we are giving up our sovereignty by withdrawing. But no one explains why that is true, just like they don’t explain all the benefits of staying in. Other countries had to do nothing. So they, namely the left, are angry because there is no replacement for our funding. Their claim is that without us in the treaty everyone else is going to reap the benefits now. But they were the ones who were going to benefit anyway.

It is just one more deal which doesn’t consider America’s priorities. Yet they lie and say getting out does not preserve our priorities, it threatens them. Then there is Democrats’ universal closing argument for everything that “people are going to die.”

Ironically, the only thing that seems to usurp media’s attacks on Trump are intermittent terrorist attacks that the world has no immediate answers to. So maybe if their Paris plan was framed as a terrorist plot, would they finally see the error in it — or at least the drawbacks? Or probably not even that would alter their Globul perspective. It’s futile.

Westinghouse down but not out

Forbes

Westinghouse Bankruptcy Shakes The Nuclear World

On Wednesday, Westinghouse Electric Company filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in New York to restructure itself as a result of costly problems at the AP1000 power plants it’s building in Georgia and South Carolina.

Westinghouse has obtained $800 million in debtor-in-possession financing from a third-party lender to help fund and protect its core businesses during this reorganization.

Its Japanese parent company, Toshiba, declared that its nuclear power business has already lost $6 billion, which could go up to $10 billion, and is seeking ways to limit its liability. Toshiba shares have lost over $7 billion in market value this fiscal year.

Westinghouse selected the Shaw Group, led by James Bernhard Jr., to spearhead construction. Bernhard, a wheeler and dealer, ../

In the meantime, Westinghouse turned to a real nuclear construction contractor, Fluor Corporation, to get the nuclear plants back on track, but it is too early to tell how successful they will be. Even with the cost overruns and delays, these reactors should get completed and they should still have lower life-cycle costs than renewables or new coal.

More: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jamesconca/2017/03/31/westinghouse-bankruptcy-shakes-the-nuclear-world/#10d7370f2688

It’s unclear to this simple laymen why they originally would have gone with the nuke-upstart Shaw Group? A big company like Westinghouse and Toshiba…like shouldn’t they have seen this coming? On the other hand Fluor — a company even I worked under a short time — is an old standard, and dependable.

Why did it take them so long, and make it so costly, to turn to them? Just seems they were out to cut corners(costs) from the beginning and got burned. What else explains it? Plus some inner-industry ego rivalry. Now they’ll pay for their errors.

But then the way media were starting to report the story as if Westinghouse was finished. And likely it will be spun into an anti-nuclear power story, which it is not if you read this report. In fact, nuclear energy should be enjoying a resurgence. Thanks Westinghouse-Toshiba [sarcasm], you didn’t do the sector any favors.

Stocking the Cabinet of Deployables

Let’s review what Obama’s administration looks like: cabinet secretaries, sub cabinet, and all those influential and controversial Czars.

In order of succession to the Presidency: 15 cabinet, 6 sub cabinet, 32 czars

Vice President of the United States

Department of State

Department of the Treasury

Department of Defense

Department of Justice

Department of the Interior

Department of Agriculture

Department of Commerce

Department of Labor

Department of Health and Human Services

Department of Housing and Urban Development

Department of Transportation

Department of Energy

Department of Education

Department of Veterans Affairs

Department of Homeland Security

The following positions have the status of Cabinet-rank:

White House Chief of Staff

Environmental Protection Agency

Office of Management & Budget

United States Trade Representative

United States Mission to the United Nations

Council of Economic Advisers

Small Business Administration

Then there were all those controversial Czars which Obama denied were czars.

“Green Jobs Czar” ————- “Diversity Czar”

“Car Czar” ————————- “Cyber Czar”

“Intelligence Czar” ————– “Regulatory Czar”

“Safe Schools Czar” ————- “Border Czar”

“Science Czar” ——————— “Climate Czar”

“Energy Czar” ——————— “Afghanistan-Pakistan Czar”

“Pay Czar” ————————–  “Health Czar”

“Homeland Security Czar” or “Drones Czar”

“AIDS Czar” ————————- “Manufacturing Czar”

“Weapons Czar” ——————– “WMD Czar”

“California Water Czar” ——— “Asian Carp Czar”

“Great Lakes Czar” ————— “Information Czar”

“Technology Czar” —————– “Auto Recovery Czar”

“Drug Czar” ————————–  “Domestic Violence Czar”

“Urban Affairs Czar” ————– “Gitmo Czar”

“Mideast Czar” ———————- “Iran Czar”

“Stimulus Accountability Czar”

What’s missing? I know, how about a “Hope Czar” – Ambassador of Hope?

Oh but the Obama administration pushed back on using the term Czar. Maybe he just didn’t want to call them czars. Let’s hope Trump — or no other president for that matter — ever has a penchant for czars like Obama.
