The Real Threats to Our Democracy

Conrad Black, after venting at Peggy Noonan for her felonious attack on conservatives, gives a rich description of the 2020 election problems.

While Noonan dismisses the election results but can’t condemn Republicans enough for Jan. 6th, she parrots the Left’s talking points so well she sounds like any Democrat.

The Real Threats to Our Democracy

Electoral shenanigans and the abdication of judicial responsibility are the real threats to our democracy. Let the audits proceed.
Conrad Black — June 14, 2021

In the Wall Street Journal of June 10, Peggy Noonan captured the kernel of the crisis of national division that afflicts America: Donald Trump and opposed perceptions of last year’s presidential election. Equitable person though Noonan is, she qualifies as a Trump-hater, whose invective against Trump has only escalated over time.

Noonan’s premise today is that any question about the 2016 presidential election is unfounded conspiracism, but that suspicion is growing, spread by “the Trump underworld—the operatives, grifters, and media figures around him . . . This lessens our faith in our systems . . . it leaves the GOP with an untreated cancer.” She holds that “QAnon is important” in propagating this fraud. She thinks that anyone who wasn’t appalled by the storming of the Capitol on January 6 has given up on democracy. Lingering concern about the fairness of the result is in itself an assault upon democracy. “The breaching of the Capitol happened because of a conspiracy theory: that the election was actually won by Mr. Trump but stolen from him by bad people.”

She makes no allowance for exactly the opposite view: that there is ample evidence that Trump was sandbagged in rigged voting and vote-counting in only six states, stonewalled by the courts, and defamed by a unanimous national political media: the courts couldn’t face overturning the election, and the media can’t accept the idea that it was a tainted election. I agree with her that “the only thing that can stop” (the cancer that supposedly afflicts the GOP, even if it is in fact benign righteousness) “is true facts independently developed and presented with respect and receipts.”

This is correct but the analysis of the causes of the current dangerous division in the country’s political life must start—not with the invasion of the Capitol, which has already been investigated and yields nothing damaging to Trump—but with a serious analysis of the election results in six states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The election went off without a hint of a problem in 44 states. In the six states named there were changes to voting and vote-counting rules adopted supposedly to respond to the difficulties imposed by the pandemic and often in constitutionally questionable ways.

In addition to a large number of specific complaints by individual voters about the treatment of their own votes, there were 18 direct challenges to the constitutionality and integrity of the electoral process in those six states plus the case of the attorney general of Texas supported by 18 other states accusing the swing states of violating their constitutional pledge to assure fair presidential elections on such a scale that the result of the election was tainted. The judicial system declined to hear any of these cases for process reasons. It simply won’t do for the Noonan-unanimous media stonewall to say that Trump’s complaints were just sour grapes, examined and dismissed by impartial justice. Peggy Noonan knows better than I do about hundreds of thousands of votes arriving with lopsided Biden majorities in the middle of the night at Mark Zuckerberg’s drop boxes in Pennsylvania that were then immediately mixed with other ballots with no possibility of verification.

She knows that the Boland v. Raffensperger case over why the ballot rejection rate dropped in Georgia by 90 percent from 2018 wasn’t judged but was rejected because the party sued arguing that the Georgia Secretary of State was “an improper party.” The corresponding case in Michigan, Donald J. Trump For President Inc. v. Benson, alleging violations of state law by the failure to allow access by observers was not heard because it was only filed at 4 p.m. on November 4.

All America saw the videos of vote counters clapping as Republican observers were evicted and plywood was placed over the windows. The judge ruled Michigan’s secretary of state had no responsibility for monitoring drop boxes despite a recently adopted law requiring such surveillance. In Pennsylvania, Metcalfe v. Wolf alleged that anywhere from 144,000 to 288,000 completed mailed-in or absentee ballots may have been illegal based on testimony from a U.S. Postal Service contractor. The judge declined to hear the case because such a request was required to be filed within 20 days of the alleged violation (although, in fact, it appears to have made that deadline).

In Wisconsin, Trump v. Evers alleged extensive violations of state election laws including the issuance of a large number of absentee ballots without written applications, unauthorized filling-in of ballots by municipal clerks, lack of verification of the authenticity of large numbers of absentee ballots. Yet the Wisconsin Supreme Court in a divided decision found that the suit had to begin at the lowest course and proceed upwards, a material impossibility in the short deadlines allowed…../

New Party Euphoria

Apparently some disgruntled Republicans are floating an idea to start another Party. It is sketchy on names but nevertheless state media is pouring fuel on the fire.

So the Democrats have become a socialism sewer but all the attention is on Republicans as they sink the country into abyss.

Secondly, it comes out that former FBI deputy Andrew McCabe labeled the ball field shooting of Republicans as a “suicide by cop” incident, rather than an act of domestic terrorism. Wray cannot explain that after calling right-wing extremists terrorists.

Liz Cheney is out as a leader but taking to the air to expound about her virtues. Adam Kinzinger is also yapping it up. These people are clearly not happy with Republicans.  I wish they opposed Biden the way they fought against Trump for years. But they will not do that.

Yet when Republicans got targeted and shot like fish in a bowl, it gets officially labeled a suicide by cop incident. Not a biggie.

As to New Party yap, Lizzy says that is not her agenda. She is out to hijack the Republican Party. Nope, not team players.

It’s Wray Time Again

Just a few comments on the hearings with FBI Director Chris Wray.

At one point he said the FBI focuses on the violence not the particular ideology or motivations. He repeated that doctrine a few times.

So why does he make an intentional point of always mentioning white supremacists and right-wing extremists as a number one threat? Seems like that is all he cares about.

On two occasions, by Cruz and Blackburn, Chris Wray was asked about the threat information they had prior to Jan 6th, and who called for the National Guard or didn’t? He was reluctant to answer but did admit that a “local authority,” meaning mayor, declined or didn’t want the guard activated.

So if he is investigating this January 6th event, in the numbers he is saying, then wouldn’t he also establish the chain of who didn’t or refused to call the Guard? But he acts like he doesn’t really know such an important detail about the defense of the capitol. How could you investigate without knowing that?

Asked about the death of the Capitol officer, he did not know the cause or details of cause of death. Why not? And why were they telling us he was hit or beaten with a fire extinguisher? Suddenly he is now Sgt. Schultz and knows nothing.

About stonewalling Congress or not answering specific questions over the last four years, he has no answer. Then he is asked about FBI’s referrals or actions taken against anyone from the Horowitz report. His answer is that along came the Durham investigation which caused FBI to pause any disciplinary action in the matters. We must wait.

Chris Wray has proved himself just as competent as Comey and McCabe were. But he can tell you he made two significant minority appointments among 6 top-floor department heads. One Asian and one black. That’s a relief to know.

As to who knew what when at the Capitol, who can really know? Come on, man!

I don’t know why this would belong here but…..

Come What May: DOJ Show And Tell

There was a popular song somewhere in the 80’s, “walk like an Egyptian.” It was all the rage but more than a song, it was a metaphor for the times.

In that vein, doing something I detest, I will think like a liberal. I know, it hurts me to say it and can be dangerous because no one needs to give them any ideas. Hopefully, I can land this 747 somewhere on the ball field. When they go low… we keep digging deeper.

I thought about special counsel Durham and possibility of a special counsel to Hunter Biden — or current lack of one. How might Democrats react to any bad news?

Well, we already know how they act to anything that is good news, even partia;ly good. If they have to take one good nugget out of something, they will monopolize that element. I have watched liberals so long; I almost know how they think.

So let’s suppose some bad details come out about what Comey and the coup team did in 2016. Any harsh details will be contrasted to the Mueller report. They will try to remain on their platform that the Crossfire Hurricane was a justified investigation.

Why would I know that? Comey, McCabe, Brennan and company dug in their heels everywhere saying they had to investigate it. I expect Dems will continue that story, having Democrats like Schiff bang that drum.

But the alternative is what else can they say? In the face of damning evidence, “oops?”

They can’t admit it was an egregious abuse of power. They can’t admit fabricating evidence to propel an investigation, They can’t admit doing Hillary;s bidding. They can’t admit to collaborating with Hillary, led by a foreign agent and Russian spies. They can’t admit the lengths they went, or were prepared to go, to make the preferred narrative fit.

By the way, have you noticed how with every explosive or incriminating story about the Left, or Deep State, media has this compulsion to plug in the Left’s talking points to explain it… or justify it? Then everyone defers to the Left’s explanation or narrative. That becomes the only “coverage” of the story.

But why can we not talk about or discuss a story without inserting the Left’s talking points? Who said that is the rule? The coup is only one glaring example.

So suppose things come together, miraculously, which point to the Lefts’ involvement, culpability and intent in cooking up the whole thing? Forget their narrative for a moment.

That would be nice. It could happen. Suppose evidence is so much and so obvious that the weight on the dam breaks? Suppose they decide to just throw much of the information out there because A) it doesn’t matter that much anymore or B) they cannot contain the bulk of it that has slipped out already.(and they want to move away from it)

So they make a conscious decision to tell us but in such a way knowing we can’t do anything about it now. The only thing left is to admit it, in part, but still adhere to the line that they didn’t really do anything wrong that was breaking the law.

Yes, this could all happen, maybe with slight variations to it.

But I expect how they would handle that would be the same basic strategy the Left employed before. That is not complete denial. It is more like the yes but defense. Yes, we did certain things but the reasoning is our excuse.

The reasoning for it goes something like this. But remember this is after they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

They might say well yes, but what was done was apparently not bad enough and actually did not harm or alter the presidency. See, even if this is all so, Trump has gone on to fill out his term, and did not seem be that affected from it all. (it does get absurd)

Think of it as a similar defense to the election and fraud. So what?

In fact, Trump actually proved that a president can still function effectively even if all this was opposed to him. No one deprived him of his duties, which he was able to carry out. So any harm to the president is being over blown. Frankly, we don’t see where the institution of the presidency was permanently harmed.

And just the fact that he went through this, even if it were all so, shows that the beautiful system works. We find out if there were errors or offenses committed and we move on. But Trump was never endangered or prevented from doing his job.

So this test proved that the system works, The presidency survived in tact and is preserved. The system dealt with it and we persevered just fine. This is what should happen, the way it should work. We investigate and act accordingly. The lesson is the system worked. It was stronger than what anyone tried to do, or anything Trump did.

I’m sorry of that sounds just like a liberal talking because those are the kinds of things they say. It is the “any defense theory.” Throw anything out there to defend the indefensible.

I know I have made some assumptions here, I know there are some what-ifs and maybe a little optimism that schemes will be exposed. Can you see where any of this is possible?

How much could happen we will find out. Hopefully we will.

They said that about election fraud, The fraud was not enough to have changed the result. Therefore the result mitigates the fraud that happened. It is not enough to matter.
Likewise, what they did in the coup was not enough to affect things so it doesn’t matter. They take the position it had no major effect, even if it led to a phony impeachment.

And the impeachment too showed the system worked. We are stronger now for having gone through it. This is the reasoning we are dealing with on the Left. They wil try to use the situation to mitigate what they did. Sort of like a third-grader arguing out of breaking the window. The damage is not irreparable so it doesn’t matter.

The same thing applied to Hillary’s emails. No harm no foul because nothing was affected by it. All they see is victimless crimes – if they are even crimes at all. (which is the next step) No one would prosecute it – the Comey defense. (done…. there that was easy)

Of course they will not admit the Russian Hoax sets the precedent for unfettered spying on a campaign. That doesn’t matter to them. All that matters is who controls the levers of power. As long as they do, anything is therefore permissible. But if they don’t control it, then anything is justified in returning power to their hands.

Sure, you can walk like an Egyptian but it is harder to act like a liberal.

Special Counsel Delivery

A brand new joke: so a guy walks into a restaurant – back when they used to be open — and the waiter asks him “what would you like?”

The man says to the waiter “I’ll have a nice juicy special counsel.”

The waiter says, “coming right up, sir.”

Okay, it is a joke people. I didn’t say it was funny. Get it?

Now that we know AG Bill Barr converted John Durham into a Special Counsel that was the reaction of some people, “This is a joke.” But no it really wasn’t a joke. They only think it is a joke. It’s the guy at the restaurant who said he wants a special counsel, and is entitled to get what he wants. So give him what he wants.

Under U.S. code, the special counsel would produce a “confidential report” and is ordered to “submit to the Attorney General a final report, and such interim reports as he deems appropriate in a form that will permit public dissemination.”

If what I said doesn’t make sense at all, then don’t worry about it.

The important thing is that Barr appointed Durham Special Counsel without anyone knowing it on October 19th. Now he tells us what he did. I for one am glad.

Would I prefer not to have special counsels? Yeah, but after all we have gone through over five years, then let’s have the special counsel. If it were ever justifiable, this is it.

No, I don’t care to hear Leftist loons bemoaning about it. Done.

Well, it sure is not the last we are going to hear about or from this special counsel of ours. Just ignore that new-car smell, you’ll get used to it.

“I think there will be more indictments,” Ratcliffe said in October. “Based on the intelligence I have access to, I certainly believe there should be.”

Gee, I remember one Christmas saying “if I could have anything, I’d like to have a brand new special counsel.” Now here it is in 2020 and I finally got one. I’m not sure what to do with it but here it is. Once the training wheels come off, this thing will be great,

So that’s kind of the way I feel about this new Special Counsel.

It was the thought that counts. Appreciate the sentiments.

(Hope it has a warranty)

Hypocrisy In Spades

There is no need to restate all that happened for four years of undermining President Trump and the 2016 election, right from the moment he won let alone ran.

However, the current situation is reporters are seen ambushing officials and authorities, like Michigan’s, with shouts of “will you honor the will of the people?”

No phrase could be more insulting or hypocritical to me than that. Maybe it is by design? I don’t know. Coming from the very people who never honored the will of the people.

In fact, they did everything they could to subvert and deny the will of the people. They undermined our electoral system with fabrications and dismissed criminal conduct.

Now they erase it all as if that election were never attacked. Then have the audacity to ask, “will you honor the will of the people?” There is nothing more repulsive.

On top of that 4-year record, compounding it with all Democrats did in this election, to utter those words just disgusts me. I rest my case.

Institutional Chaos Usurps Elections

If you are not living under a rock or on a secluded island somewhere, then you have no doubt heard that Donald Trump has attacked and weakened our most valuable institutions in this country. Since we all care so deeply about them.

And no doubt you have heard it on a loop. It gets no response or push back in part because it sounds so awful. That is crazy talk but look no further than Democrats for destruction.

The people who have attacked and weakened our institutions are the Left and their droid Democrats. But you will never hear that reported anywhere. It is just not a story.

However, it did take Donald Trump to come along to frame and prove their narrative so wrong. It was Republicans who were first tagged with that blame banner, as if we were anti-institution or even anti-democracy. But Democrats took it to the stratosphere when it came to Trump and his reelection. Basically he is the blame for everything.

As usual, it was the left who has attacked our institutions and rule of law itself. They’ve branded border control the problem; they’ve attacked and called for defunding the police. They want to reimagine everything they don’t like – or everything not already politicized enough for their taste. Even energy, the economy or climate are targets.

And they have done a good job at that. They’ve weakened almost everything America values including education and our history, and even culture itself.. While sheer destruction of them is not their goal, they want institutional subservience to their political ideology.

Now no one can blame Trump for all that, or even conservatives. The left has done this with such passion; it was clearly their agenda for years.

But in 2020, they went the ultimate step in their evolutional demise of institutions. The one last thing that remained was our electoral process. Yes, they had attacked it for four years after Trump was elected. They were not only attacking us, the voters, but also undermining, politicizing and weaponizing the system itself. The cover they used is that they were worried about the integrity of the process, ie our trust in it.

Then they went full scorched earth by making all the changes and reforms they had schemed up before, but now had the chance to shove into place. True to radicalism, they didn’t care how they went about it as long as they got it all into place.

These plans themselves would do more to tear down the fabric around our elections than anything else. And as we now know, once you break the bond between the people and our electoral system, you have weakened democracy. The effect goes much further than that because they shredded people’s credibility in that system.

Like I said, they spent four years weakening the foundations. Now they have abolished the sacred trust between us and our elections. Once again, you cannot blame that on Trump which is exactly what they have in mind.

They are going to say it was Trump who kept attacking them by scaring people about “rigged” or “fixed elections.” No, he was only describing what they were doing, almost preemptively. Did he know the lengths they would go to in blowing up the system? I don’t know, but he certainly warned us loud and clear. And the left did not like him warning us. They didn’t want us to know or believe it.

The thing is our electoral system was just the last piece that they hadn’t quite altered enough for their political palate. They were not going to stop until they got the guaranteed results, read outcome, they wanted. A pandemic and Trump’s reelection offered them the opportunity they were waiting for. Trump was only an excuse for it, not the cause of it. This was their doing all the way.

Elections were merely the last, most important piece to complete their agenda. They had already shattered our credibility in things like the Justice Department, the FbI or IRS targeting conservatives. We found the Left had taken over everything in our government under the rubric of Deep State. And Americans lost confidence in all the institutions over years anyway; this was only the final straw. Media and press was already shot through.

But until now, we had at least expected our election system was basically in tact, even with all their shenanigans attacking it the last four years. Now they removed the façade that we could still trust our elections to operate above the proverbial Leftists fray.

Trump warned of the pending doom in the 2020 elections all through his campaign. Media mocked him saying he was attacking it. That clever game of blame they always play.

Now that we are handed the results of their non-stop plots for months, and see it for what they did, just like their other schemes for five years, we can validate in spades all the damage they have done. However, it does fit the pattern perfectly.

Wonders Of A Coup Never Cease

Wonders never cease. Four years later, the professional liars continue their charade.

Lindsey Graham held hearings with Comey and now the infamous McCabe testifies.

McCabe announced he was the target of a wrongful biased investigation, which resulted in his termination. He said he is seeking recourse through the courts.

I’ll be danged. McCabe a victim of bias? Wow. And what recourse do his victims or Donald Trump have for what was done? What court does Trump go to for remedy of treatment?

So this is what a career professional, lying snake looks and acts like.

McCabe was “wrongfully fired and did nothing wrong,” he told Sen. Blackburn. A “deeply unfair and flawed investigation,” he called it.

He also admitted that it was an investigation on the Trump campaign.

Dianne Feinstein said “it’s time to turn the page on Crossfire Hurricane”…i.e from the whole 2016 election cabal. Well, I’ll be danged, again.

She means from that page they turned into a coup, a special counsel jihad and smears against a sitting president. The page that undermined a president and targeted candidate Trump. That tome…. radical Democrats conspired and eagerly wrote with Deep State.

That tome also later parlayed with an impeachment hoax show trial.

But at the bottom of all this cabal was also the treatment of Gen. Flynn. McCabe admitted pursuing a counterintelligence investigation – based on whatever lies and false premises they deemed fit – and then denied the Logan Act was any factor in it.

However, that is exactly what was driving the entire agenda, for what they claim was appropriate treatment. It was a stealth Logan Act case they were pursuing against Flynn.

McCabe requires the willing suspension of disbelief. (words Hillary was fond of)
To quote Bill Clinton, “this whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen!”

Weaponizing Wicked

Ruling class elites who weaponize government against their political opponents and the people deserve justice in lavish amounts.

When those in power turn their backs to those who stand up to defend our country, and scheme against them, then we are in a bad and wicked way.

We need to start revoking some government pensions. And it should start soon. When they strategically strip people of personal assets and reputations for political gain, they need to pay a high monetary price for it.

And whereas:

Congress can be in session for only 2 days in 3 months…
and after pushing a hoax impeachment!

So how about they give back 1/4th of their salary?
Taxation without Representation comes to mind.

It’s called Government by the people, for the people for a reason.

Obama’s Very Pregnant Problem

When Barack Obama stuck his head back in the political fray, he may know or not that he has a whopper of a problem. Note, I did say singular.

Last weekend Obama ended his silence by speaking out about the Flynn case running out of steam. Well, it really appeared to to bug him, didn’t it?

The Hill

“The news over the last 24 hours I think has been somewhat downplayed — about the Justice Department dropping charges against Michael Flynn,” Obama said in an audio clip that was obtained and released by Yahoo News.

“And the fact that there is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free. That’s the kind of stuff where you begin to get worried that basic — not just institutional norms — but our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk,” the former president said. “And when you start moving in those directions, it can accelerate pretty quickly as we’ve seen in other places.”

Barry Soetoro, Barack Hussein, or whatever name he is using, is probably starting to feel squeezed like a dishrag. If he isn’t there yet, he soon will be. He is likely starting to consol with some advisor (David Axelrod or Eric Holder) about the political ramifications of his newfound situation.

The more you think about it, the more you will see he has a predicament on his hands. Sure this case was about Flynn, so he and media wants us to think, but it is much more about Barack Obama and his administration. A s the coup was Obama’s administration.

I am not being dramatic, I am disappointed that conservative press has not connected the dots for Obama’s situation, problem yet. The quandary for Barry is how he plays his cards, he dealt himself, which determine everything else forward. What do I mean?

Either he plays it that he was the absentee professor, in which case he claims he had a rogue agency meddling in the election and presidency after it; or he simply says he was fully aware of the treasonous seditious coup afoot under his scandolous administration. See the problem with both options.

He is in a very bad place. But hey, he’s had almost four years now to think about and plan this out along with his excuses for it.

There is one other possibility that he could try to defend it all as justified. But that is getting harder, seeing how flawed and illegitimate it all was. We don’t even have to get into why, as in the real motive. He has to choose how to respond to what we’ve found and what is yet coming down.

Personally, I would like to see him have to spend 7+ million or so trying to explain his actions and those of his administration, just for starters.

No wonder Barry is lashing out under mounting pressure. Not that he ever cared about defending himself, he never had to. He has two paths in front of him, each will determine his future path and strategy. Does he try to defend indefensible behavior?

Does he once again say he was not in the loop in it all? But we know he was there and in on it this time. So does he pass it off as rogue actions of an out of control intelligence apparatus acting on their own? Or does he admit he was in the loop but they were all justified in their scheme? Will he take the hit and responsibility for all that went on? Or will he try to blame all his subordinates for screwing him and his legacy (no-scandal record) up?

His underlying problem is that kind of operation can only be done under the president’s authority and knowledge. By definition it requires his approval. Comey blessed him.

Oh, he is in a heap of trouble. You know the saying that you can give someone enough rope. And he has been given lots of rope and opportunities to explain this over the years. But just like Benghazi, he never does try to explain it. Now he must choose how to respond. Both are inherently bad choices for him. No surrogates or advisors can bail him out either.

I sort of expect that Barr understands all that very well. And Durham is bound to come up with something damning about Obama’s administration. So even if that does not involve him personally, he will now have to have an explanation for it. That is something Barry Soetoro has never been forced to do before. He doesn’t like coerced decisions or explanations he cannot pass off to someone else. No one can do it for him this time.

Corona Cuomo’s Mother’s Day Surprise

Almost as if NY Governor Cuomo was rubbing salt in the wounds of his record, he announced new nursing home orders on Mother’s Day.

By now everyone is familiar with the nursing home disaster in NY. What happened is apparently under investigation now via the NY Attorney General. But an independent investigation really is needed.

(Newsday)“ALBANY — The State Senate’s Republican conference on Wednesday called for an independent investigation of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s directive in March that told nursing homes they could not deny patients admission solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19.”

We’ve heard the blame of Cuomo, who gives daily briefings on his handling of the Coronavirus pandemic. Until recently, he and his people had ignored and deflected questions about his nursing home policies, actions and the consequences.

Also see NBC News report on the nursing home order: “Coronavirus spreads in a New York nursing home forced to take recovering patients

But on March 25th, the Governor had issued an order to nursing homes saying basically they had no right or grounds for refusing COVID patients. They had to accept them.

That sealed the legal chain from hospitals to the nursing homes. They could offload their patients to nursing homes, which had to take them. It pretty much became hospitals’ overflow. The details really were morbid.

According to an April Business Insider article:

“When a New York City nursing home was forced to admit coronavirus patients late last month, public health officials also gave them a box of body bags, in a concerning incident reported by the New York Post on Thursday.

An executive at the unnamed Queens nursing home says that the facility was coronavirus-free until Gov. Andrew Cuomo forced facilities in the state to accept coronavirus patients on March 25.

Following the order, the nursing home took in two residents who had been recently discharged from local hospitals after COVID-19 infections, and were stable.

When they took in these patients, officials sent them a box of personal protection equipment for the staff designated to treat these residents, and in the same box was a supply of body bags, the executive said.”

“My colleague noticed that one of the boxes was extremely heavy. Curious as to what could possibly be making that particular box so much heavier than the rest, he opened it,” the executive told the Post. “The first two coronavirus patients were accompanied by five body bags.”

This nursing home went on to see 30 people die of the coronavirus in the following weeks. And every week they get five more body bags.

“Cuomo has blood on his hands. He really does. There’s no way to sugarcoat this,” the executive added. “Why in the world would you be sending coronavirus patients to a nursing home, where the most vulnerable population to this disease resides?” (More)

Now, in the aftermath of the horrible reports and deaths, Cuomo issued a brand new order that hospitals cannot send a COVID positive patient to a nursing home. Read that again. So a positive patient must only be sent to a COVID facility. Optionally, the hospital could hold patients until they are negative. (Old order removed) Why did he wait this long?

Cuomo faces backlash for what he originally did and failure only until now to change the order. He simply puts the blame on nursing homes in the first place for failing to be prepared to handle those COVID patients. Except it was his March order to blame.

But they had no choice before. They had no right of refusal of COVID patients. He made sure of that in his March order. So Cuomo imported Coronavirus into nursing homes.

California initiated a similar policy but then revised it on April 1st. Meanwhile, for weeks Cuomo has been dancing around any questions about his morbid COVID policy, before finally making a new policy on Sunday. People have said he has blood on his hands.

He certainly does. But while he announced this policy reversal, he did it on Mother’s Day complete with a backdrop of a video chat featuring his own mother.

In his briefings, he previously mentioned her many times. Then he gave “mom” a special Mother’s Day spot by making her the First Prop of NY, as he rolled out a new order for nursing homes. Nice cover using Mother’s Day to soften the blow to himself.

He created a nightmare and appears to be squirming while trying to fix it.

Happy Mother’s Day! …. Nice personal touch!

Obama’s Famous Byline

During Obama’s two terms, they had a catchall phrase for their critics. It was six words: “this is not who we are.” It was designed to shutdown their opposition.

Well, now we know and see exactly who they were: espionage, surveillance, spying on political opponents, politicizing all of government culminating in sedition, treason and even interfering in a presidential election. That’s who they are, the worst kind of people.

Any investigation of that corruption would have to be deep-sixed, never to be exposed to the light of the public. And there was a hell of a lot to hide.

Their first major target after Carter Page and Papadopoulos was General Flynn. They were rabid on that case because he could lead right back to Obama’s and Biden’s corruption trail. Via Flynn et al, we saw exactly what happens to the good people. We also know too well what happens to bad ones — they are still around.

It evolved, after the failed and corrupt Mueller special counsel probe, into a hoax conspiracy impeachment that was staged as part of the cover up for what the past administration did, or any investigation into it.

Yes, the 3 ½ year long coverup train planned on steaming right into and through the next election — after denying the results of the last one.

But along came, once again, a convenient pandemic named COVID-19 to isolate our fears to the immediate survival mode. It wiped everything else off the airwaves and concern list. Coronavirus was just what the doctor ordered after the failed impeachment. A chaser.

Just like a made to order diversion, Coronavirus was just the prescription to bury any investigation leading to Obama. And the economic benefit of the COVID shutdown would damage Trump. It would carry the damage they couldn’t mount.

Then, like a nightmare, Flynn came back to center stage with revelations of what the FBI schemed and plotted under Obama. Truth oozes out of the sores – one pore at a time.

So once again, “this is not who we are” is stood on its head showing exactly who they are. The collaborating dark arts of evil cannot cover up their coup forever. It leaks out.

Not to worry, though, the organ of free press was already pronounced DOA in 2016.

Looking for Mr. Good Barr in all the wrong places?

So were those hopes for AG Barr’s pending justice in vain, once again, misplaced or wildly unjustified to begin with? Have we engaged in another game of wait and see only to, in the end, see nothing warranting the long wait? The odds are not good either.

Has the Deep State beaten Bill Barr?

By Todd Gregory and Erik Gregory [excerpts]

“Among law-and-order conservatives and defenders of Trump, it was widely hoped that Barr would be an A.G. unintimidated by the Deep State, with the intestinal fortitude to push back against a DOJ corrupted by progressive lawyers and grandiose bureaucrats blinded by their irrational and atavistic hatred for Trump. Perhaps Barr might even mete out long delayed justice to the chief plotters,”…./

“Barr was confirmed on Valentine’s Day 2019. In the year since Barr’s confirmation, conservative stalwarts from Roger Simon to Sean Hannity have sung the praises of Barr and his deputy, John Durham, all but guaranteeing criminal indictments any day now against senior members of the Obama administration (which had spied on Trump’s campaign and colluded with multiple foreign actors to subvert American democracy, both before and after the 2016 election)”…/.

“Skeptical conservative voters were admonished to be patient, and that the likes of Comey, Susan Rice, Loretta Lynch, and Brennan would soon be charged for their crimes and jailed. Yet, amid the frantic waving of pom-poms, something perfectly predictable happened on the way to the Deep State’s day of reckoning. The days turned to into weeks, the weeks into months, and now a full year.”

Still waiting, and waiting!

Maybe the one thing that will shock the conscience in the end is that there will be no accountability for it all? America that cannot be, can it?

Perennial Bias At Work

Our government used the pretext of Russia to spy on a presidential campaign. And it parlayed that “investigation” into the presidency after Trump entered office.

  • The IG Horowitz report declares it found no documented or admitted political bias in the cause of the investigation.
  • It found 16- 17 problems with how the investigation was handled.
  • Horowitz testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee that no one who touched this entire investigation should feel vindicated.
  • It found fraud committed in the FISA process.
  • The investigation used a dirty Russian-based dossier, paid for bu a political campaign, employing a foreign agent, as evidence in a FISA court for wiretapping + surveillance.

The question of political bias is almost moot now. Does it matter or is it relevant? An investigation has inherent bias, since the purpose is that someone probably did something wrong. But they qualify political bias as a possible concern.. I am concerned about both.

What matters is what they did, errors and all. The central reason political bias seems to matter is based on whether it should have started or not. And was it a basis for the investigation? Was it the purpose of it?

So did we really expect them to call the investigation unjustified? That would have been an automatic indictment on everything they did. It would be a glaring admission. It is doubtful even an Inspector General would be willing to do that.

Putting that bias question aside, the whole rest of the process which followed is an indictment on the cause of that investigation. Why break laws, use sinister conduct or act with malfeasance in investigating a justifiable cause?

And all that conduct happened to be against Trump.

So maybe too much emphasis is placed on whether there was provable political bias in the contamination of the decision to investigate? At least it was all around it. Shouldn’t there be a necessary attempt to eliminate bias? But that is not what we saw.

Back to what we citizen voters think. Much was made about our interpretation of inherent bias in the investigation. Though we had probable cause to suspect and confirm bias in the process. In fact, it almost screamed bias. That no one would have heard those screams would be irresponsible. How could we not see it?

All we heard since it began, and continued in its various forms, is that the FBI and its investigation is above reproach. But that is not what we saw. We saw a natural cause for bias alarm. Yet that we even questioned the FBI or basis of it was the problem.

The whole Russia meddling problem in the election had little to do with Trump. They did not seem as interested in investigating Russian meddling as they were in investigating Trump collaboration. Russia was the predicate to investigate Trump.

Now if we had fraud in the investigating itself, we certainly had it in spades in the media reporting all along. It amplified whatever government was doing, both publicly and behind closed doors. You could label the reason for it as political bias. But does it matter? The media were doing what they were doing. Do we have to prove what effect their political bias had in order to validate whether it existed? That would seem absurd.

Yet the entire cabal boils down to that one simple fact: our Government used Russia as a pretext to investigate Trump, in an election and after. Period. Nothing changes that.

But Cardinal Comey calls our fears, analysis, criticisms and conclusions “all made up.

This Is Not Normal

This Is Not Normal

IG Horwitz testifies to Senate Judiciary Committee on the IG Report on Trump investigation and FISA abuse.

That should be the headline across the country. The Senate committee looked into the IG Report and discovered that this is not normal. It is anything but normal.

Yes people, normal is now gone. It has been replaced by what we have seen happen in 2016, then continuing 3 years in various forms. To some extent, right up until today.

Pre-rebuttal of the IG Report

Leaks, lies, coups and liars’ legacies = just some procedural Bullshit?

Incidentally, if you don’t like the word bullshit then you may elect to skip this piece.

When is enough enough? Let me start by writing backwards, the way government usually does things. (in reverse) Starting with a premise and working backward to origination.

Synopsis: media has broken their cone of silence to actually talk about the upcoming IG Horowitz. Until now that has been a forbidden topic of conversation. Now, armed with numerous leaks, I presume they’re trying to manipulate our expectations for the report.

At first it seemed like they were just trying to get out ahead of it for damage control, to spin the outcome and temper our expectations. But now it looks like there may be something to what they are saying. (even if they’ve been in denial for 3 years.)

Then this report only becomes part of the cover-up.

Cut the bullshit:: This is a government report justifying what government did.

We should be clear on that. It’s what government does. And when government covers up for itself, it is doing what government does. When regular people do that, it is called a cover-up – considered worse than the crime in many cases.

All definitions from here on go into the trashcan – other than for bullshit. They, government, can alter or rewrite definitions as they go. The word ™*They in this form shall stand for government… or big, Deep State government.

Let me say this is not about the why *They did what *They did — other than the original investigation — but about what *They did. I think the motives are self-evident. *They, as in government, includes the head of the administration apparatus at the time, Obama.

Leaks of the document are flowing out daily.

They come from somewhere. You have to assume from within the *They apparatus. Reporters and MSM are only to happy to put them out there. (apparently sanctioned) Something about toning down or lowering expectations, I presume.

The conclusions of the report leaked out basically say the Trump investigation was justified from the onset. That the Carter Page probe was justified. But that there were some departmental problems, which he is going to point out, including how the “lower level” lawyer under James Baker altered FISA documents. Nevertheless, it did not change the outcome of this justifiable investigation, or its merits. Chew that slowly.

Yet there is no underlying problem with the integrity of the investigation itself, only some processes of it. Gee, and downhill from there on it goes. This starts to sound like every other “report” that has come out prior. But look at the accusations flying about everything Trump does. Put common sense aside.

In other words, what they are saying – if the report verifies it — is that the report is basically inconsequential as to the outcome of this Hoax. It is only relevant so far as procedural errors it quibbles with. But if it validates that the cooked up investigation and subsequent deep state coup was justified, then it becomes a part of the substantiation of the whole thing. See how this works? This IG look-see validates what *They did.

So unofficially, this IG Report could be called the cleanup detail of DOJ. One of the major problems it has is being released smack in the middle of an impeachment process. Whatever you think of the latter… and what a long winding road that has been: filled with innuendo, lies, dirt-digging politics and conspiracy theories etc. (dirt digging on Trump)

Maybe all we have witnessed to now is a natural byproduct of the “fundamental change” Obama promised. It certainly appears that way.

Now that they know *They can operate this way and have sweeping influence, it sets a precedent for future coups or phony investigations. Proof that it all works and can be very effective – even using CIA sources. Do you really think it is only Trump who would be subject to this radical insurrection of an interconnected cabal? Think again.

Imagine the extreme irony of Democrats doing a major investigation and impeachment process over digging dirt on a political opponent… while what they have done for 4 years was a political dirt-digging operation on a candidate and then a president.

This whole thing combined is nothing more than an effort to bring down the President, and all it has ever been for three years. Now they bring in the IG of itself, to justify itself, by posing as an independent critic of itself. And all predicated on grade-A BS.

Of, by, and for Deep State

Our government was weaponized against a political opponent. Obama politicized it entirely and then it naturally became weaponized. The problem for Democrats is that it was not politicized or weaponized by Trump. We know the beginning, the means, and the desired outcome — none of which aligns with Trump’s objectives.

Isn’t it extremely odd that no one would pay any attention to Ukraine before? You could not force media/coverage to talk about Ukraine. Why? The many tentacles DNC and Democrats had working in Ukraine. To even mention Ukraine was labeled a conspiracy theory. Ukraine itself was branded as a conspiracy. Now Ukraine is elevated to the most important place at the intersection of corruption and politics, at the most critical time in national politics. But Trump didn’t do all that.

Isn’t it also funny that after the Trump rally in Florida, the media is squealing like stuffed pigs about the president’s use of the word Bullshit? Yet it is the one word in our language that could possibly encompass all *They and their media allies have done to him and our last election. That word cuts through the smoke and mirrors.

And still the only thing that matters to these people is the next election, and defeating Trump. That government is still politicized and weaponized, ready and available. Media is still *Its biggest ally. Democrats are still engaged in election politics against their political opponent – and wiling to use any means at their disposal against it. (that opponent has also become the people, as it always does!)

Then came the IG report that media spins as an expected barn-burner that isn’t. Apparently they got their way. The report they refused to acknowledge as necessary or meaningful before, suddenly now becomes a central asset to knock down any “conspiracies” about what really took place in the 2016 election. (the truth)

According to these media reports: the Counterintelligence investigation on Trump was properly predicated and properly launched. So the rest is justified history.

That means it is 4-500 pages of meaningless procedural minutia that did not generally affect the overall investigation. Thus, the investigation was credible while there are outstanding procedural, process problems. That concept needs some explaining.

Message: nothing to see here. Move along. Government was justified in its overreaching investigation which turned into a full-blown bloodless coup. More CYA for the cover-up.

Even the Bullshit is getting old — calling a spade what it is, and an IG Report what it is.

Defining Democracy Down

The left is on the fast track doing whatever they can to define democracy down. It’s interesting how it doesn’t matter that Trump is a duly elected president. But he has never been not under investigation. (sorry for the double negative)

Democrats really care nothing about the democracy of elections. All they care about is their political agenda, even when it means undermining democracy with a coup, or daily muddying up the definition of democracy.

They don’t care about the people’s will or our agenda, voiced and confirmed at the ballot box. The only thing that matters to Democrats is interrupting and overturning the last one.

The people can take a back seat to their demands. Never mind the USMCA trade deal. To hell with fixing real problems or sorely needed oversight. Out of control bureaucracy, intelligence, and abuse of power mean nothing to Democrats.

Sunday, Speaker Pelosi was virtually trying to chase Trump out of the White House, saying that “at some point Richard Nixon cared about the country enough to recognize that this could not continue,” She said President Trump was an “imposter.”

Remember that next time she lectures on the finer points of democracy, when she is assuring us of her Constitutional duty. She said:

“This week, we will hear from additional witnesses who will courageously expose the truth and defend our democracy.”

Defend democracy? Sadly, they nor anyone else can defend democracy from Pelosi. Who could? Her assault is relentless. Cancel our democracy. It’s the politics, stupid.

Ukraine On The Brain

One thing that American people should be outraged about is any idea that the success of the current US president – indeed future of the US – should be determined by Ukraine. Not to mention our election of a president and the next one.

But this is the exact situation the Democrats have put America in. Ukraine is now at the center of all that. We should be appalled but many people are cheering this on.

We just annexed the future of America to a former satellite country of the USSR. One that has had its share of corruption and is engaged in its own sovereign preservation. Something Trump wanted to look into.

But back in 2016, radical Democrats put Ukraine smack into the center of their conspiracy theory (coup in the making) by DNC’s and Democrat operatives’ collusion with it in US election politics. Ever since they have been covering for that fact. Now they have brought Ukraine straightforward into their current goal of trying to impeach the POTUS.

I can’t believe this is anything the people would care about, with regard to choosing our president, except for remote hopes of working with Ukraine to eliminate corruption. But that corruption in Ukraine is where Americans’ concern stops.

It is hard for me to believe that people want Ulraine to determine our present president or our future one. That would seem absurd. But apparently that is the road Democrats are going down and what they believe. Their whole impeachment now rests on a corrupt country waging a battle to protect itself from Russia’s covetous hand.

If Democrats do not want foreign meddling or interference in our elections, they sure have a real funny way of showing it. If successful, it is hard to imagine there will not be some heavy consequences for that. Imagine the people who were obsessed for two and and a half years with a myth of foreign influence in our elections, now are determined to once again inject foreign interference into our politics.

Do Americans fall for such a cheap plot? I don’t believe so. But radicalized Democrats are determined and invested in making that case for it.

Then they put an acting ambassador to that country at the center of their “resistance” case. So while Ukraine is resisting Russia’s military overtures, Democrats put that whole issue into the center of their seditious resistance against a sitting US president – even in congress. And they are etching Ukraine into US history by doing so. They have entered Ukraine into the congressional record in one of the most serious things congress can undertake in America, the impeachment of a president.

But make no mistake; they had put Ukraine in the center of election politics since the 2016 election. They continue to build on that plot right into their current seditious coup mission.

There’s a whole lot of shaking going on

Syria: Kurds, PKK, Asaad, Turkey, Isis, Russia. Put then all together and what do you have? A whole lot of shaking.

Washington: Trump, Pelosi, Schumer, Durbin, Rand Paul, Republicans, Democrats. Put them all together and what do you have? A mess. Did I forget media?

All these, of course, represent factions. We have factions in the USA. Certainly, then, you cannot expect people to be all on the same page. They all have their own interests, and their own ideologies. Now I’m not one for letting ideology, unadulterated, run all policy.

Sure I succumb to an ideology like everyone. But this idea that ideology is the be all end all would mean all one has to do is plug in their ideology to any given situation and voila, you have the solution. But it doesn’t work that way.

That would not require politicians or leaders but only an ideology everyone must adhere to. That sounds more like a communist China or other regime, sans the dictator who enforces it all. So the Communist Party rules in China, the Democrat Party rules here.

Some things you have to make the case for, some things you have to fight for. Indeed, some things may be impossible — that is outside the dictator to implement and force it. In the US, we typically wrestle with such things. Other regimes don’t have those “problems.”

Case in point, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer go to the White House to talk to Trump about problems in Syria. What do you think happens? Dems run out with their hair on fire, to the media, and say “the President had a meltdown”. Is any of all that predictable? Rather than just deal with an uncomfortable seat in the theater, Democrats would rather scream fire and run out. No, it isn’t proper but that is their predictable reaction.

But of course the only thing that Pelosi wants to deal with is her own caucus. She will immediately run out to fundraise off of it. Impeachment is actually the only thing on her caucus-craven mind. And how to guide that to a successful conclusion.

Damn the will of the people, damn 2016 elections, damn all immediate pressing problems, damn the volatile situation anywhere; full speed ahead on the impeachment train. Election 2020 is now the next destination. Ideology rules the sandbox.

Narratives Demean Motives

On a serious note, I’m going to do something I never like or want to do but in the interest of critical understanding, I think I must do. It is a shame that circumstances should require that someone say these things. Yet those are the times we are in.

It is important to know why and I think that in itself is the reason to do it. I don’t do it out of animus for the country or what US stands for. It is for perspective in fighting the narratives radical leftists have foisted on us. We must know the enemy.

So with all the outrage about what happened with (A) a phone call to Ukraine and now (B) a report on what Trump told Kislyak in the famous White House meeting after Comey was fired and (C)Pelosi’s unilateral “official impeachment inquiry” started; there are a few loose ends and statements that need to be examined further.

Most of this is not new, but what is new is the level of the Left’s frenzy surrounding it all. Media is doing their level best to roll this into one big mud pie to fuel their impeachment efforts. Almost on cue as expected. They have no real concern or loyalty to the nation, nor do they care about the damage it does. They are willing to sacrifice everything about our country to try to get Donald Trump.

They have already referred to Trump recently in choreographed mobster terms. (Aka Don Corleone) When have we ever seen this before? Never. And they have their other favorite tool used to attack Trump, our intelligence — however they can use it and say whatever against a sitting president to hurt him. Another narrative is that Trump is somehow green-lighting the Russians to meddle in other countries’ elections. The idea Trump would have equated or admitted to Russia that, essentially, we meddled in elections and was not upset by what Russia did in our elections sounds damning. (the gaining media narrative)

Leftists are offended saying we don’t meddle in elections. Well, let’s just take Obama for example. He meddled in Egypt, Israel, and even his team in Canadian elections. He also basically intervened in the Brexit vote. I’m sure that is only scratching the surface. If it is one thing Obama liked to do, it was intervene in elections. I’m sure there is much to Putin’s claims of Hillary meddling in Russia’s election. At least most people in Russia believe State and Hillary did. And we know how some of that meddling turned out – not well.

We meddled in the control of the dictator, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, in Libya by sanctioning his killing. To hell with elections, there’s always Plan B.

Let me cut the chase here with a bigger narrative yet to roll out. Whenever there are skirmishes or deep disagreements anywhere in the world, Russia is plotting on how it can extort the situation for their gain. Putin as I noted before is the consummate opportunist. Years back he took on an aura of a conservative leader causing people, like Pat Buchanan, to compliment what seemed a more traditional domestic approach. What’s not to like?

But not to be fooled, he was not the Harley-riding conservative fellow conservatives here may have envisioned, but only an opportunist who was carefully feeding people what they wanted to see and hear. He had family plans with incentives for having more children and a friendlier outreach toward Christians. Welcome changes one would think, in contrast with what we saw from Obama. The Planned Parenthood saint of death with an anti-Christian bigotry. He was happily riding a Sherman Tank over American traditions.

Now in the present situation, we are presenting more opportunities to Putin. The Left has brought impeachment, Trump hatred, controversy and a slice of corruption to the Ukraine. What better place for it? You might say controversy and corruption are no strangers there. And all is within Putin’s operating realm in the last few years. For people to get so choked up on corruption or domestic politics there, then be thrust in with a scandal involving the US, is made to order fodder for the opportunist Putin.

Just days ago the word spread that Putin has Russians dispatched in Libya operating in that current conflict where ISIS or terrorists are gaining a foothold and vying for political power. Sound familiar? Russia parlayed Syria into a net gain over humanitarianism, and the ISIS crisis into a greater strategic plan for Russia. Thanks John Kerry.

Now their attention is back on Ukraine, his long time nemesis. A new president taking office on an anti-corruption plan offers yet more opportunity for Putin’s insatiable appetite. In so many ways Democrats are once again playing right into the hands of a conniving Putin, with little restraint for involvement. As the smoke of controversy rises in the Ukraine, the cloud of Putin will gravitate to it like bees to honey. Cleaning up corruption, you say? We shall see what eats away at that agenda.

For the worst part in it all: what does Putin think, or what talking points might we expect to hear from the Kremlin on the subject? (it pains me to think it) You don’t have to worry about giving them ideas because they are old experts on propaganda. He might simply inject himself as a level mediator to all sides. He might propose some sort of deal to get the ball rolling, and emphasis off fixing corruption. He might make some offer to volunteer some help or guidance. But all those would be open holes created by zealous Democrats who’s only interest is attacking Trump. Putin doesn’t have to worry, because Democrats will provide him more opportunities than he could ever create for himself.

That’s what they did for him from the 2016 elections. To this day, Hillary and Democrats credit Russia — and particularly Putin — with achieving the outcome of our election. They credit Putin with more influence than he could have hoped for.

Not to ever leave out the king of corruption and influence in countries and elections, George Soros. In Ukraine, there have to be many connections along with the DNC. Soros and the orgs he supports are certainly not non-political either. More Soros influence will ooze out. A corrupt political system, what a fertile ground for Soros to operate? He can do a lot of damage there. So the Soros effect on Ukraine probably cannot be overstated.

Then there is the glaring takeaway lesson we gave to Russia on the 2016 election: that we don’t really care about or respect elections. When it comes down to it that is just talk. Actually Hillary just reminded us, once again, in the media that the 2016 election was illegitimate. How can you have more contempt for the electoral system than that?

Further troubling is the movement afoot to throw out the electoral college process — an inherent blueprint in the Constitution. Well, who really cares about the Constitution anyway? So the election did provide many benefits to a meddling Russia. If you have people in America who don’t even accept their own election process, or final results of it, then one serial meddler in Russia would have a whole lot to work with.

There remains a lot of space to fill by Russia’s narratives. And they are the masters at saturating the air with them and diverting public scrutiny. First off: is this an example of how America operates in other countries? See how they enrich themselves while really caring nothing for democracy they claim to love. That’s a great narrative.

And there are pleny more narratives the Russians can plug into current circumstances, custom created by the left, and our political feuds here. Just like all the foreign interference the left dabbled in with our last election. Call that a meddlers stew.

What really undermines our national security and credibility are Democrats. Everywhere you look they compromise our security. The claim that a phone call with Ukraine threatens our national security is ludicrous. But they want to impeach Trump over a foreign call, which is way too much foreign interference over our elections for me.

Imagine that — just as domestic policies at home are finally going in the right direction — they try to take Trump down over a foreign phone call. Do people care about it?
