Trading Power Abuses

Joe Biden and his band of radicals and tyrants have traded one form of control over people — using the pandemic — for another form of mass control using the climate. Same game, same agenda, same results.

Welcome to modern day Rome, where the state dictates all choices not the individual. If you prefer violence, it can always arrange that too.

And so Joey the traitor is going to make a proclamation about a climate emergency. Biden gave us a war on energy and now he wants to declare an emergency. He came up empty on his Mid-East ‘pump and dump’ tour, so back to executive abuse.

It seems the more we the people are hurting, the better leftists like it and the more they use it against us. Our pain is their gain. And when that pain comes directly from the Oval Office or federal government, all the better.

Add to this war on fossil fuels the raging inflation. Let the good times roll. Caesar on.

Mayor Pete the Butthole said the quiet part in Congressional testimony:

“The more pain we are all experiencing from the high price of gas, the more benefit there is for those who can access electric vehicles.”

So our pain is their gain; whether at the pump or grocery store, or home.

Bidens’s perfunctory meeting with the oil CEOs had no effect, by design. So now he resorts to his favorite tool he planned on all along: Abuse of Power — Democrats’ final solution.

Executive deliverance will now be performed across the country by proclamation. “We will create new and better ways for you to experience pain.” Move on over Rome!

Since Joe is such a moron, officials will try to entertain us while they torture the public. Remember when media told us, “these are serious people?”  We should be very impressed. (no private sector experience but serious) When they want you to feel pain, you will.

And physical abuse may be substituted for economic pain any time, just in case. Or some mixture of the two that persuades their message. It’s a “very serious” abuse of power.

Backlash of Crossfie Hurricane

I had an idea for a fiction where government used all its resources and alphabet agencies against a political candidate before an election, then continued their agenda after the candidate won the election. No wait, it isn’t fiction at all.

Okay, so if it did actually happen, then it is the biggest story out there. Everyone would want to know about it. But why would the press not be reporting on that? Oh, well maybe they are in on the same agenda and plot? That would only make it even more of a story.

Wait, if that is the case, the entire thing is also a cover up. You know, they say the cover up is always worse than the crime. So I guess that means we have a real doozy here!

To ice the cake, who could think of a better narrative than branding that candidate, now president, a mob boss in their trumped up investigation started under the code name Crossfire Hurricane? It makes sense to label their target the greatest threat while they unleash the powers of US government, and those wielding it, against an incoming candidate and then a sitting president. Why not?

What began to be clear is how this whole thing formed into lopsided competing narratives. You had all that they were saying in concert, as if choreographed, about how bad he was and sinister his motivations must be for America. Surely that narrative is the only thing that could justify all they had done against him. Because if it was not true that might turn Crossfire Hurricane into the mother avalanche of US power against an innocent man. We could never have that story come out, much less be true.

Yes, it is a gas, for all the people involved who created and rolled out this entire plot against Donald Trump. Strangely, from the beginning they had tried to conceal their real target by telling Trump he was not actually under investigation. Another bold lie to hide the obvious and meant to further their agenda against him. Sure, it’s a gas.

Now who says we don’t investigate political opponents in this country or turn the apparatus of government on them ? It’s a gas.

Stunning, Hypocritical Statements

Over the last few days there have been a series of stunning and hypocritical statements. Even more than normal, and from high places. This was supposed to be a short one.

Start with Juanita Broaddrick who is amazed lately by high profile people that suddenly tell her they believe her now. Okay, stunner that they can even admit it. Give them credit. She saw it as kind of a validation, finally. She declared Hell has frozen over.

Erstwhile do-gooders may have their political reasons for a change of tune now. But it does not reconcile years of looking down on these Clinton victims, and making excuses for Bubba and Hillary, which allowed them to continue to corrupt and enrich themselves. They simply believe Juanita — and presumably others — all is better, no harm? Everyone is happy? All because it is politically convenient now when Hill and Bill are private citizens hiding under a fictional exemption from accountability. Leaves a bad taste, no?

Sleazy Senator Bob Menendez just walked on his corruption case. Well, he walks and the jury hangs. (great pun) But in his deadlocked debacle he made two remarkable statements. (there were more but who has time?)

1) “To those who were digging my political grave so they could jump into my seat, I know who you are and I won’t forget you”

Ouch, can’t help seeing that as a threat. Wonder what vengeance he has in mind? And who are they, since most of the media ignored the whole thing? The MSM was making sure no one could dig his political grave, if they don’t tell people what is going on.

There still is an Senate ethics investigation Mitch McConnell called for. So it isn’t done.

2) Menendez said another stunner. Paraphrased, he has a fear of abuse of government power. He has a new appreciation and respect now for those who suffered from the hands of abusive power. So he’s going to turn into a fierce advocate? Don’t wait for that.

Wow sort of strange for someone who lived and breathed hiding behind, enabled and enriched by, the abuse of power. Then has a hung jury at his trial.

No, I don’t think you get to say that when you were not convicted for some strange reason — after all he did. I don’t think you call that abuse of power, you call that luck of draw.

Actually, details were even worse from the government side:

[ABC] Jury member Edward Norris said 10 jurors wanted to acquit Menendez on all charges, while two held out for conviction.

“I just wish there was stronger evidence right out of the gate,” the juror said. “It was a victimless crime, I think, and it was an email trial. I just didn’t see a smoking gun.”

Menendez can take that as a compliment. It is tough not to leave a trail. Victimless?

Finally, there is Hillary. always making the news. Hillary said that an investigation into the Uranium One would be “such an Abuse of Power”misuse and abuse of power. It must be that, but Trump and his campaign cannot be investigated enough.

[Clinton called the proposed investigation] “a disastrous step into politicizing the Justice Department” and “such an abuse of power.”

“If they send a signal that we’re going to be like some dictatorship, like some authoritarian regime, where political opponents are going to be unfairly, fraudulently investigated, that rips at the fabric of the contract we have, that we can trust our justice system,”

Here we go with the talk of dictatorships and rogue, out of control regimes that… I don’t know, use IRS to attack their political enemies, or silence their opponents with threats. That sort of thing. Ones who would stand down law enforcement to let innocent people or businesses suffer anarchy; or who turn felons out on streets because there is no room in jails for them. Maybe regimes that pardon terrorists. Ones that are more concerned with politics and elections than national security. What kind of regime would use government to make deals that benefit themselves and silence anyone who opposes them?

She also said “It will be incredibly demoralizing to people who have served at the Justice Department…who know better.” Whew, they know better? Isn’t that the way we got to this point? So it would be terrible for those public officials to have to follow and enforce the law. How demoralizing? Why should a justice Department stand up for blind justice as opposed to biased injustice? Leaders meeting on a tarmac days before getting an investigation is squashed. How demoralizing when an attorney General is held in contempt by Congress for not complying with….wait for it, justice!

Yes, they know better than that. Yet we saw no whistle blowers stand up to expose Obama’s injustice. In fact, we saw officials and staffers line up to take the 5th amendment to protect those who abused power and authority. She says they know better? Yes they do. Now I know why she has such faith in the Deep State swamp microbes.

We need a real Department of Know Better.

No, she said it would be a giant “abuse of power.” Wait, what she did was an abuse of power: from first lady right on up through the Senate to the State Department. Not to mention her reign of corruption and control over the DNC. Then that whole theater investigation of her abuse revealed how deep those corrupted roots go. She and her campaign manager were pushing for a special counsel on Trump. And they already suggested he should be investigated for obstruction of justice. Abuse of Power? Enemies, political enemies, do we really need to talk about Hillary and enemies?

Let’s not forget Hillary is a walking, talking, flame-throwing obstruction of justice. (and probably everyone around her) So now Hillary and Menendez sound like twins. She is getting around to claiming to be a victim of government abuse of power, which she wants to use against Trump, her political enemy. That’s what she’ll be blaming Trump for.

Now Obstruction of justice was a year and a half of Hillary covering her backside for her illegal server. But somehow she’s concerned about power being corrupted and abused? Yes, tell us all how scary that could be. Sends shivers down my back. (and shivs in the backs of her enemies)

CNN for its part set up a clock asking how long it will be, after he returned, for Trump to comment on the Roy Moore situation? Apparently upset he hadn’t already.

If they hadn’t noticed, he’s been kind of busy. Well, with Trump trying to avert that inevitable WWIII, nuclear Armageddon, and with rehearsing the nuclear codes he shouldn’t be trusted to have, and having secret meetings with Putin and all. Either we’re on the precipice of Nuclear Holocaust or we are not. Make up your mind!

I can’t leave out the narrative change. We remember the last 25 years. Democrats, a little late to the parade, now act like the party of protecting and listening to women. The suddenly woke folk on women victims try to define the narrative. Dems are the good guys, after standing in the way of any moral responsibility. You guessed it, Republican are the bad guys. That is meant to deflect and erase their political history for the last 25 years.

One more laugh for the road. Orin Hatch had a moment of outburst at Sherod Brown in committee. Orin called out their class warfare garbage about Republicans are doing it “all for the rich.” I guess the Utah Senator finally had enough. It didn’t stop Ohio Senator Sherod Brown from spouting off back to him that the rich are just getting richer. Great for people who actually want to raise all our taxes, let alone block this tax cut. And they have such righteous objectives.

Same theme rings a note

It’s time for another custom comparison. I do it for perspective, to avoid being myopic on one issue, and to keep the larger picture in mind. That includes the greater principles involved — or problem as the case may be.

In this one it is Obamacare, the VA scandal, and the IRS scandal.

So here we are with Obamacare, or Affordable Care Act as they like to call it. We now see even more evidence of what went into cooking up this abuse of power. Yes, abuse of power is the central theme to all this. “We’re from the government…”

They passed Obamacare using every trick they could think of, and used every scheme they could devise in writing it. They assumed people had to be lied to. So they lied in creating it, then they lied in promoting, ie selling it. They used all the contorted methodology they could to ram it through a Party line vote. They had backroom deals and closed door meetings in creating it. They used government abuse to get it passed. They took money from another government program in trouble to fund it.

Then there were all the promises or, as I call them, lies they used to make us feel good about it. Something with that many lies to sell it must be pretty bad on the face. They embedded all these taxes and then said but they aren’t taxes. Then the Supremes did call it a tax and upheld it on those grounds. Why there are even sub-scandals like the Louisiana Purchase, “Cornhusker Kickback” for Nebraska, and now the money Gruber was paid while designing and promoting it. Mary Landrieu’s 300 million dollar Louisiana Purchase turned into a 4.3 billion dollar windfall. Then the controversy over state exchanges.

Where is the VA in this? The VA and government employees systematically schemed to limit and cheat healthcare for military vets. You have the schemes, and then you have the abuse and trail. Though it is criminal what they actually were doing but now they treat it as though it were a disciplinary infraction of policy, rather than policy. What they did was akin to a pyramid scheme. If some people complained, point to the great benefits of the system and claim it just needs more funding to correct it.

Behind it all, they were lying to people and keeping separate secret lists. Then even getting bonuses based on false premises. The sacred obligations we have toward veterans, and the trust therein, was broken. Though little can undo the damage done, but they make gestures to correct the systemic abuse within the system. But now it gets even worse in the fallout. They suspend or fire some people while what was done is criminal, especially to veterans. (even media termed it a scandal) But employees have protections, you know.

The IRS was intentionally targeting swaths of people, but we weren’t supposed to know that. Discrimination anyone? They claimed they were treating everyone the same. (with suspicion?) They claimed it was a few rogue employees apparently freelancing. So they lied. They feigned outrage when faced with the problem. Then we find it went further, deeper into the caverns of bureaucratic planning than they want us to think. Oops, can’t even feign outrage over that, so deflect and dismiss it.

Then we see the trail of scheming to cover up, right through testifying. They issue blanket statements to substitute for actions. They used their political disagreement with a Supreme decision as grounds for their selective political targeting. Finally, IRS is the enforcement arm for ObamaCare.

In all these scandals, they also blamed Republicans: for resisting Obamacare and misnaming it; for playing politics with the VA though problems were systemic; for even calling the IRS thing a “scandal” and an abuse of power. Some Dems applauded and encouraged the behavior.

In Obamacare they lied to create it and push it through. In the VA, they said they were improving the process. In IRS, they lied that it was a problem or abuse. There is a vacuum of accountability for any of it. Not even admission. Real lives are affected and damaged by all. They even called the IRS scandal a partisan witch-hunt, talk about irony to the tenth power.

Then they lie from the podium about the problems and scandals claiming Obama et al were completely unaware of the problems. It’s a little hard to say you were fixing or correcting the problems when you claim you were not aware of them.

Can you say abuse and misuse of power? Its a running theme throughout the administration. Even while we are looking at one area of government abuse, they and Obama are steaming toward another abuse of power. It’s so bad they will create a scandal to cover a scandal.

Of course there is the coverup: hard drives crash, emails are somehow lost, records are lost or destroyed. But they are upset at what conservatives call things — scandals, Obamacare, corruption. They are still selling Obamacare on the ‘wet noodle principle’, throw it at the wall if it will stick. The Constitution is being shredded and they are worried about what it is labeled. There was knowledge, intent and misuse of government power. And yes, they were all sponsored by “change you can believe in”…”yes we can.”

So, it’s Republicans fault for not liking it, and people are too stupid to understand.

Christie in Crisis

Has Christie crossed the line?

There are a couple problems with the Christie story. For now I’ll accept it as he has told it.

Here was another article on it: http://cfif.org/v/freedom_line_blog/19915/a-few-thoughts-on-the-christie-scandal/ It’s good basic information.

When Christie says he didn’t know anything about it, I will accept that premise. But when I do that a few things happen: first it says he was unaware of a major undertaking of his team. That hurts because it could indicate incompetence. See to believe all the “know nothing” claims from Obama, in scandal after scandal, you would have to conclude that he is incompetent.

And if Christie knows nothing, then it actually makes the case that an executive in government can excuse the actions of his subordinates by claiming he/she did not know anything about it. See Hillary and Obama’s records on how that works. Try that in business. Fairness to Christie, he did claim he was still responsible.

So I do have a problem that he did not know what was going on. Remember even Axelrod came to Obama’s defense claiming government is so big and vast that he could not possibly know what was going on. Interestingly, David Axelrod was one of the first to claim Christie did the best he could in this situation. (was that a compliment or an insult…which is it?)

If we were out to make the case for “ignorance is an excuse” in office, Christie’s apology-presser goes a long way in doing that. If we are to buy it, then we also grant that Obama and Hillary could be ignorant to what was going on, say, in Benghazi. Or even in the IRS.

I now have a problem. Is it now a legitimate excuse to just say you didn’t know, even though you should have and you are being paid to know? I don’t think that is a good enough excuse. I don’t think it was for Obama, nor for Hillary, nor for Holder, nor should it be for Christie. Ignorance is not a good enough excuse. We know how politicians rely on plausible deniability (i.e. Being such that plausible disavowal or disclaimer is possible).

Just what we need, another excuse for Obama’s conduct and abuse of power. No thanks.
