Obama blaming Bush for ISIS

Again Obama comes out to tell us the source of ISIS. Of course, it’s George Bush — could there be any other? That’s all anyone needs to know, right? And the ruse goes on.

Mr Obama said: “Two things: one is, Isis is a direct outgrowth of al-Qaeda in Iraq that grew out of our invasion. Which is an example of unintended consequences. Which is why we should generally aim before we shoot.

“We’ve got a 60 country coalition. We will slowly push back Isis out of Iraq”, he continued, adding: “I’m confident that will happen.”–Independent UK

ISIS was not a dot on the horizon when Bush was president, but it is his fault. More subtly, Obama actually blames America’s actions, foreign policy, and leadership (except for him) for the formation and evil of the Islamic State. By extension, those who elected Bush.

Obama is no different than Sen Chris Murphy who suggests the US is the cause of ISIS.
Even though he claimed he wasn’t blaming us for causing ISIS.

So the guy who cannot even mention the driving force behind this evil and the Islamic State, except by the Islamic acronym ISIL, can be taken seriously to define the original cause of “ISIL”? No, he isn’t kidding and neither am I. Does that make any sense?

The “underlying problem of disaffected Sunnis” is a fundamental issue in Iraq.
Wait, is he referencing some religious “sect” difference? No, that cannot be right!

Lets review:

  • Isis rose to significance under Obama
  • Isis grew organizationally and exponentially under Obama
  • ISIS invaded Iraq, and extended to Libya and Africa under Obama
  • He referred to them as the JV team.
  • They are driven and centered on Islam which he will not acknowledge.
  • They are armed with US equipment they got after we Obama pulled us out of Iraq — in a victory lap.
  • George Bush was no where in sight when ISIS spread into Iraq.
  • ISIS spawned when we got out of Iraq not when we went to Iraq.
  • Iran enters and deploys troops in Iraq under Obama. (delayed reaction from Bush)

Now lets consider his “aim before we shoot” philosophy:

  • Obama’s defiant support for Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
  • Obama’s unilateral adventure in Libya. (and his victory lap thereafter)
  • Look at the shape of Libya, ISIS ties, condition and terrorism there now.
  • Obama’s red line in Syria, getting bailed out by Vladamir Putin.
  • Obama’s cozy relationship with Castro
  • Obama inviting Iran into Syria. (it must have been Bush’s idea.)
  • A deal with Iran at any cost.
  • A policy of containment in Iran (even though they said it wasn’t)
  • A knee jerk reaction to boycott Netanyahu’s speech.
  • Obama’s campaign staff delving into Israel’s national election
  • Obama’s A team meddling in Canada’s election
  • Obama’s official promotion of gay marriage at State Dep as a priority.
  • Obama’s amnesty outreach to South America
  • Threatening border agents not to enforce the law.

We only have to look at the World, and Middle East in particular, to see all the fruits of unintended consequences Obama’s policies have wrought, including in the US. But we also suffer intended consequences of his policies. Egypt, Ukraine and Israel know those well.

He also telegraphed a message to young people that “you should be thinking about climate change, the economy, war and peace.” Yep, they should be talking and thinking “Climate Change” and climatology, since you know everything is related to climate change — except for what Bush caused!

How can any free person on this earth take anything this man said seriously? Kids this is why we Americans should not elect radicals — or faith-based candidates — to the Oval Office. It just isn’t a good idea.

Got that? Think about melting glacier ice, not ISIS cannibalizing the Mid East and Africa. Never mind either his stuck-in-the-mud policy of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama’s Strategic Ignorance Plan

Also could be called strategic neglect, as this piece says. What grade would you give him?

The Cost to America of an AWOL President

by Dr. Sebastian Gorka Feb 2015 | Brietbart

In the recently released, but largely unheralded, National Security Strategy of the United States, the new buzz-word was “strategic patience.” As our unarmed Marines hastily departed Yemen, and ISIS closed in on their fellow devil-dogs in Iraq, the President was more than showing patience: he was making video about taking selfies.
The new National Security Strategy of the United States, which was a year late and strangely dropped on a Friday – a technique usually reserved for documents the administration doesn’t want to be read – opens with a a letter from President Obama.

In it, he states that his answer to the threats and challenges that face the nation is “strategic patience.” Instead of tackling the dangers of the word proactively and head-on, America will play a waiting game. This fits neatly into previous approaches from the White House that have emphasized “leading from behind.” Given the geopolitical realties of today’s world, American voters should draw their own report card of what a reactive and “patient” approach has brought the Republic in the last six years:

  • The Global Jihadist Movement: Not only is Al Qaeda not on the ropes, but ISIS /The Islamic State has overtaken it as a fully-fledged insurgency which is so powerful that latest reports have it attacking the base in Iraq where US Marines are deployed to assist the Iraqi army in standing itself back up after being routed last Summer. As media attention focuses again on the Middle East, especially after the gruesome immolation of Lt. Moaz al-Kasasbeh of the Royal Jordanian Air Force, the Jihadist movement grows ever stronger in Africa, with Boko Haram killing thousands and enslaving hundreds of Christian girls. Back home, we have the unprecedented statement by the director of the FBI that the Bureau is investigating ISIS activity in 49 states of the union. (Every state except Sarah Palin’s Alaska).
  • On the Shia side of this global war, we see that not only is Iran very deftly outmaneuvering the administration when it comes to its nuclear program, its proxies are gaining ground in South Asia and the Middle East, most especially in Yemen, where the Houthis have captured the capital. This despite the fact that Yemen was lauded last year by the President as one of the true success stories of his counterterrorism strategy.
  • The most populous and important Arab Muslim state, Egypt, has not responded well to “strategic patience” – or rather, strategic neglect and rejection of the White House. When the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood government of Mohammad Morsi was deposed by General Sisi, Cairo became the black sheep of the region as far as the administration is considered. This despite the fact that now-president Sisi is the only Muslim leader since 9/11 to openly call for a “religious revolution” in Islam aimed against the violent jihadists that threaten his nation as much as ours.
  • With the “pivot to Asia” declared by then-Secretary Clinton resulting in nominal, if any actual, redirection of our attention to the region, China has proceeded to build up its military and use it to intimidate its neighbors and lay claim to new territories in ways that could very easily lead to a shooting war in the region.
And in Europe, Vladimir Putin has managed to break a 60-plus year international taboo by using force to redraw borders and annex the territory of a neighboring state. Clearly, the former KGB colonel believes in being a pro-active leader.
This is just a short version of a disturbing list that could be made much longer. The empirical truth on the ground is that we have enemies at home and abroad, enemies who believe neither in “leading from behind” nor in “strategic patience.” At the same time, the most powerful nation the world has ever seen has a Commander-in-Chief who is Absent With Out Leave.

I’ll just call him Captain Decadence for now. The patience of Neville Chamberlain. Whatever the horrible results of Obama’s strategy are, he will channel Chamberlain to describe it as “peace for our time.”

Senior Obama administration officials who briefed reporters on the Syrian airstrikes said an al Qaeda group known as Khorasan was attacked after intelligence reports indicated that it posed an imminent threat of attack.

ABC: Syria refugee masses at Turkey’s border

The United Nations said the number of Syrian Kurds fleeing into neighbouring Turkey may have topped 100,000 and was likely to go much higher, as IS militants seized dozens of villages close to the border and advanced on the frontier town of Ayn al-Arab, known as Kobani in Kurdish. …./

“Islamic State are continuing to advance. Every place they pass through they kill, wound and kidnap people. Many people are missing and we believe they were kidnapped,” Welat Avar, a doctor, told Reuters by telephone from Kobani.

A Kurdish politician from Turkey who visited Kobani on Saturday said locals had told him IS fighters were beheading people as they went from village to village. …/

“Rather than a war this is a genocide operation … They are going into the villages and cutting the heads of one or two people and showing them to the villagers,” Ibrahim Binici, a deputy for Turkey’s pro-Kurdish HDP said.

Israel Warns of Iranian Sweet Talk; Says Nothing’s Changed

IPT

The international community is allowing the rise of ISIS to distract it from the far more dangerous prospect of a nuclear Iran, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz warned Wednesday. The comments followed his visit last week to the United States, where he met with senior State Department figures William Burns and Wendy Sherman.

“The Iranians are getting almost everything but giving almost nothing,” Steinitz told a Jerusalem news conference in which he expressed his belief that Iran is being far from truthful in its ongoing P5+1 nuclear talks. “Although it is important to defeat ISIS [Islamic State], if Iran gets nuclear weapons, it’s a different world for decades. This is the main threat to global security and should be the priority… I went [to Washington] concerned and I came back concerned,” Steinitz added. “I didn’t hear anything… that gave me hope.”

Protestors: ‘The Met Opera Glorifies Terrorism’

Protesters say ‘The Death of Klinghoffer’ justifies the 1985 murder of wheelchair-bound Jew Leon Klinghoffer

Israel Hayom reports:

The Met is scheduled to perform the opera between Oct. 20 and Nov. 15.

The opera deals with the death of Leon Klinghoffer, a Jewish passenger on the cruise ship Achille Lauro in 1985.

The ship was hijacked by Palestinian terrorists, who shot the wheelchair-bound Klinghoffer and threw him over board.

The opera’s critics say it justifies the killers’ actions and is prejudiced against Jews.

Supporters defend it on grounds of artistic freedom and claim it presents a thoughtful take on all sides.

Federal Employees Use Government Credit Cards at Casinos, Racetracks

Audit finds DOT has poor oversight over its travel card program
September 23, 2014 | Free Beacon
BY: Elizabeth Harrington

Department of Transportation (DOT) employees use government credit cards for cash advances at casinos and racetracks, according to a report by the Office of Inspector General (OIG).

Employees misused their government-issued travel cards in 2012, racking up $2.1 million in charges for personal items, and more than $180,000 in unauthorized cash advances while they were not on business trips.

The audit, released last week, examined the travel card program, which employees are authorized to use on hotels, transportation, and meals during government travel. The OIG found that the DOT does not have effective policies in place to prevent the government credit cards from being misused. In fact, the agency has no policy prohibiting employees from taking cash advances out at casinos.

DHS Adviser Says Caliphate’s Return Inevitable

Mohamed ElibiaryKnown for his flaming statements that “America is an Islamic Country”, Elibiary is back.

by John Rossomando • Jun 16, 2014 | IPT

A member of President Obama’s Homeland Security Advisory Council known for controversial Twitter posts that seem to support the Muslim Brotherhood wrote Friday that it is “inevitable that ‘Caliphate’ returns.”

Mohamed Elibiary has been controversial since he was first appointed to the taskforce in 2010. He was closely associated with Shukri abu Baker, former executive director of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development – one of five people convicted for illegal Hamas support in 2008. Elibiary argued that there was a “lack of evidence” in the HLF case and suggested that it was a political prosecution.

He previously praised the late Muslim Brotherhood ideologue Sayyid Qutb, whose ideas have undergirded the modern jihadist movement – especially his call for violent jihad and for the purification of Islam from the forces of unbelief – on Twitter.

Qutb believed that if the Caliphate – abolished in 1924 – ever were to be re-established, that a vanguard would need to replace the regime of one country with an Islamic state, much as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) aims to do in Iraq and Syria.

Baghdad served as the capital of the Abbasid Caliphate from 762 A.D. until the city was sacked by the Mongols in 1258 A.D.

“#Silly. As I’ve said b4 inevitable that ‘Caliphate’ returns. Choice only whether we support #EU like Muslim Union vision or not,” Elibiary wrote in response to question from David Reaboi, who formerly worked for the Center for Security Policy in Washington, D.C., about the ISIS rampage through Iraq last week.

Elibiary responded to a question from Reaboi asking if there was a need to be “outraged” about CNN reports about religious restrictions ISIS was imposing in Iraq.

“#CNN just broadcast list of #ISIS hudod rules [acceptable behavior]. Reminds me of how we were outraged pre 9/11 by #Taliban banning white socks 4 women. #Iraq,” Elibiary wrote.

Reaboi then asked Elibiary if he supported restoring the caliphate, but Elibiary declined to give him a direct answer. Instead, he suggested that conservatives, including the Investigative Project on Terrorism, had misread the lessons of 9/11.

“Y’all in the #NatSec ubber hawks camp misread 9/11 & should reassess ur belligerence. #CSP #IPT #Blaze,” Elibiary tweeted.

Elibiary earned the ire of the Coptic community last fall after he sent out a series of offensive tweets. He also drew criticism in November for describing America as an “Islamic country” with an “Islamically compliant constitution.”

Considering Elibiary’s history, this exchange about a return of the Islamic Caliphate is unlikely to be his last controversial Twitter post.

Stay tuned.

Here we are, the Islamist activist government at their service. The same people sent the message across Latin America to “come now and you can stay”. Problems, that’s a problem? The rest of America is left to deal with the consequences and side effects of their positions. Or is that the plan?

Elibiary wants us to be more European, and we see exactly what has happened there. He sees the Caliphate Statehood as a little nothing. Of course Muslims aren’t lining up to disagree with what’s happening. In fact, that is a big part of it. At least those in Egypt shook the radical pose, even as our government helped propel it. Compares it to a white socks dispute?

Obama Appreciation Day

Obama did a surprise visit to Afghanistan but it was more like a sketch from SNL, “Live from Afghanistan… It’s Obama”.

“We are aware of the sacrifices so many have made,” Obama said after a briefing by Marine Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, the top American commander in Afghanistan. “We’ll probably be announcing some decisions fairly shortly.”

He told them this is the best-led military in history. Hmmm, he couldn’t help that one. He’s just full of self-appreciation. And just years ago he was all about questioning the leadership of the military under Bush. But last Saturday on Armed Forces Day, he was tweeting to the LGBTQ community celebrating anti-Homophobe Day. Yea, that’s important. Not even a tweet for Armed forces Day.

Speaking to the troops he pledged that it’s a sacred duty to take care of the Vets. I can’t help wondering how many moral duties Captain Zero really has? While he’s living large in the White House, vets are rendered to secret lists, which Obama says “if the allegations are true” and hiding, once again, behind an “investigation”. No, the reports are out, you cannot put the secrets back in the box.

Excuse me while I get sick and Obama pats himself on the back. With Obama politics are never far behind, scratch that….his politics are always front and center.

“So our combat mission here will come to an end. But our obligations to you and your families have only just begun. The al Qaeda leadership may be on the ropes, but in other regions of the world al Qaeda affiliates are evolving and pose a serious threat. We’re going to have to stay strong and we’re going to have to stay vigilant. And fortunately, we’ve got the best-led, best-trained, best-equipped military in human history. (Applause.) And as Commander-in Chief, I’m going to keep it that way. (Applause.)

We’re going to stay strong by taking care of our wounded warriors and our veterans. (Applause.) Because helping our wounded warriors and veterans heal isn’t just a promise, it’s a sacred obligation. As you come home, some of you will return to civilian life, and we want to make sure you can enjoy the American Dream that you helped to defend. So with the transition assistance to help you begin the next chapter of your life — that’s going to keep America strong. The credentials and licenses to help you find a job worthy of your incredible skills — that will keep America strong. Making sure the Post-9/11 GI Bill is in place and delivering for you the kind of education that you have earned — that will keep America strong. “(Applause.)

Now he is warning us about al Qaeda et al? Where was he 9/11/12? Well, if you cannot keep Vets healthcare up to snuff, then you can at least promise them a job, right?

“I’ve made it clear that we’re prepared to continue cooperating with our Afghan partners on two security missions — training and equipping Afghan forces and targeting — counterterrorism targets against al Qaeda. … And we’re going to make sure that Afghanistan can never again, ever, be used again to launch an attack against our country.”

The al Qaeda that he telegraphed was albeit dead in his campaign. Suddenly, they are back as an existential threat — in all their incarnations? Sounds very confident for someone who cannot deliver for the Vets who made it possible.

If I hear one more word about the pains Obama took to secret his trip to visit troops in Afghanistan, or how they disguised a motorcade transporting him, I’m going to puke. For Obama, the allusions to 911 are just specious means to pat his own back. Remember the “bumper sticker” for the campaign was “bin Laden is dead and GM is alive”. That was code for al Qaeda is dead… and Obama is alive. It was never about one man, whether it was bin Laden or the blind Sheik. However, it is all about one man in the White House.

It doesn’t matter if he is standing at the podium in the Rose Garden or in Bagram Afghanistan, the same politics are center stage. Doing the troops a favor by paying them a visit was really doing himself a favor. A selfie gift. Memorial Day being another holiday to remember Obama. That message always comes through clear, because it is meant to.

At a time when the VA scandal is shredding his leadership credentials, not that he ever had any to begin with, he chooses the time once again to highlight himself. Any mention of the troops and their mission is purely academic to the main point, his political survival. He’s been politicizing the military since before he got into office, so what would we expect now?

He told them he was “in the neighborhood”. Obama was never in their neighborhood.

May God bless the memory of all the fallen, and America.

Al Qaeda seized weapons for Syria rebels

Officials: Al Qaeda Seized U.S. Supplies and Foreign Weapons Meant for Syria Opposition

A photo shows Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham-linked Commander Muhajireen Kavkaz wa Sham inside a USAID tent.

Terrorist fighters with an Al Qaeda-affiliated group in Syria seized weapons and other supplies meant for the secular Syrian Supreme Military Council, U.S. State Department and other western officials confirmed to TheBlaze.

According to reports from Syria, small arms and ammunition stashed at a warehouse located along the border town of Azaz supplied by Saudi Arabia and Qatar were taken more than a week ago by the Al Qaeda affiliate.

A State Department official with knowledge of the incident confirmed to TheBlaze that U.S. ready-to-eat meals, known as MREs, and other non-lethal supplies were taken by fighters with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, known as ISIS. The group is extremely dangerous and threatened this month to “cleanse” towns along the border of any secular Muslims and pro-western opposition groups, according to reports.

Detroit is Dead and Al-Qaeda is alive

Note to Obama: you may want to update your talking points. I know it’s hard to teach Biden new soundbites but it may be worth the effort.

US has closed many Embassies due to threats and chatter, throughout the greater Middle East. That sounds like they really have decimated Al-Qaeda, and the pesky terrorists are on the run. They are on the run _ at our Embassies.

Hard to tell Detroit from Benghazi. Obama called al Qaeda “a shadow of its former self”, saying the core was virtually destroyed. (no matter what linguistic stilts he danced on)

Al-Qaeda leaders’ talks ‘sparked US embassy closures’

BBC News — 5 August 2013

Intercepted conversations between two senior al-Qaeda figures prompted Sunday’s closure of many American diplomatic missions, US media report.

The talk, involving top leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, represented one of the most serious plots since the 9/11 attacks, the New York Times says.

The US earlier said the closures in North Africa and the Middle East were “out of an abundance of caution”

US lawmakers have said it was a huge plot in the final stages, but have offered no specifics.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23583859

The “abundance of caution” that Benghazi never got. Where, in spite of the violence and threats, Hillary wanted a permanent outpost [immediately] according to Hicks.

Well, this sounds like some “core” residue — not that it is entirely necessary for terrorism. Or as John McLaughlin, fmr. acting CIA director, told Bussinessweek:

While the U.S. has ‘‘done considerable damage to the core’’ of al-Qaeda, he said it is ‘‘myth’’ that ‘‘only al-Qaeda core can organize attacks on the United States. In truth we’ve made enormous progress against this threat. We really have. But they still have the capacity to surprise us.’’

So let’s just say ‘Detroit is bankrupt and al-Qaeda is moving on up’… to the east side.
Do you think Obama and Biden can handle that? Look at it this way, Barry, Al Qaeda is not asking for a bailout.

In Obama’s Ramadan ‘Iftar Dinner’ statement, last week, he announced it as a time of coming together:

Obama said Ramadan is “a time of reflection, a chance to demonstrate ones devotion to God through prayer and through fasting, but it’s also a time for family and friends to come together.”

I guess they took him up on that. Then the mass prison breaks, but that’s another story.

Syrian-Rebel Teens Sing At Al Qaeda Camp: ‘We Destroyed America With A Civilian Airplane’

Monday, June 17, 2013 – Beforeitsnews.com

CNSNews.com) – An al Qaeda video posted online in late May and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) shows masked Muslim teenage boys undergoing military training and indoctrination at an al Qaeda camp inside Syria.
The video shows the teenagers shooting handguns at a large photo of Syrian leader Bashar al-Asad. It also shows them stating that their leader is Abu Bakr al Baghdadi (the head of al Qaeda in Iraq), and then singing joyfully of their desire to overthrow both Asad and his sister, of the valor of al Qaeda leader Ayman al Zawahiri and of al Qaeda’s success in blowing up the World Trade Center towers.
“We destroyed America with a civilian airplane,” the young Syrian rebels sing. “The World Trade Center was turned into rubble. The World Trade Center was turned into rubble.

That nasty little core does not appear to be clinging to the ropes, where it should be.
And Detroit is still bankrupt — but I’m sure he will get that memo.
