Cyclone Hillary slams CBS news cycle

Well, son of a bitch, Hillary Clinton is at it again. Right on cue. Calling Trump a “corrupt tornado,” now that’s rich. (even for Hillary) But everything is about her.

From CNN in Washington

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning host Jane Pauley that was released on Thursday, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee gave her thoughts on the race between her and Trump as well as the 2020 election.

“Well, I hope not, and I don’t think so — because the objective is to field whoever is the strongest candidate to defeat Donald Trump,” Clinton said when asked if she thought it would be harder for a woman to be elected President. “Because Donald Trump right now poses a direct threat, a clear and present danger to the institutions of our government, to the rule of law, to our standing in the world.”

“I believe that, look there were many funny things that happened in my election that will not happen again. And I’m hoping that both the public and press understand the way Trump plays the game,” Clinton said.

When asked if she gets upset that Trump continues to say she should be “locked up,” a notion that is often chanted at his rallies, Clinton said, “No, it doesn’t kill me because he knows he’s an illegitimate President.

“You know, Jane, it was like applying for a job and getting 66 million letters of recommendation and losing to a corrupt human tornado,” Clinton said. “And so I know that he knows, that this wasn’t on the level. I don’t know that we’ll ever know what happened.

“My election” …. excuse me, Hillary?

Now it was an illegitimate election. Hillary did not succeed in destroying our electoral system, so it was illegitimate. Fun fact!

For someone who claimed to write the authoritative source on “what happened” in 2016, now says we will never know. Yet she continues to try to tell us. What a confused and confounded woman. Will she do and say anything to get some airtime?

Rerun Romney still on the 2016 fence

Romney rerun, or is it déjà vu all over again?

Romney, still wanted after all these years …. so he thinks.

CNN

Washington (CNN)Mitt Romney’s family is still pleading for him to mount an independent bid for the presidency, the 2012 Republican nominee said Wednesday.

Romney, speaking to CBS News’ John Dickerson at the Aspen Ideas Festival, said a son asked him as recently as Tuesday to do so.

“My wife and kids wanted me to run again this time, interestingly enough,” Romney said. “I got an email from one of my sons yesterday, saying ‘You gotta get in, Dad! You gotta get in!’ ”

Hey, Mitt, what part of America does not want you don’t they understand?
Is it the accent, or maybe the translation? They are a little dense like you.

Oh, I keep seeing those planted comments on social media: “Go Mitt, America needs you.” Well, neither America nor the GOP needs you, Mitt. It’s time to shut the hell up.

What happens in Aspen and what is said in Aspen should stay in Aspen. But just go ahead and try running again, Mitt, and you’ll think it was a cake walk last time. (actually, it was but that is beside the point)

Like the Jethro Tull song…”Thick as a Brick.”

Obama’s racial divide: more is less

It’s all relatively racial and relatively divided, but less so. (in Obama’s reality)

In an interview with NPR.:

“When asked if the U.S. is more racially divided than it was when he took office six years ago, the President responded:

No, I actually think that it’s probably in its day-to-day interactions less racially divided.

Wow, after about 16 years we are back to the meaning of ‘is’. And of course having a president trying to publicly defy reality. However, when convenient, he alludes to the police having systemic problems related to race.

A CBS poll says:

“More than five years later, the latest CBS News poll shows, views on race relations have dimmed dramatically. Just 45 percent say race relations are generally good, the lowest figure in CBS News polling since 1997.”

Read details on CBS’ racial divide poll here.(21 points less favorable than ’09)

“A new CBS News poll finds stark racial differences on views of the police and the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. While four in five whites say their local police make them feel mostly safe, that drops to 52 percent among blacks. Forty-three percent of African Americans say the local police make them feel mostly anxious.”…/

“This racial divide persists on the broader question of whether police, in general, are too quick to use deadly force.”

Then Obama said in a BET interview:

“I’m being pretty explicit about my concern, and being pretty explicit about the fact that this is a systemic problem, that black folks and Latinos and others are not just making this up. I describe it in very personal terms.”

He went on to say:

“We have a history and a legacy of people not being treated fairly in all kinds of walks of life. It is particularly important for people to feel like they’re being treated fairly by law enforcement and police, because the consequences when they’re not treated fairly can be deadly.”

So, under Obama and according to him, we have systemic racial problems, but we are less divided over racial issues than when he took office.

So much less that he has appointed Al Sharpton the de facto race Czar. If Obama wanted to increase the racial divide, then he absolutely picked the right person. (Farrakhan must have been booked)

If you call progress in race relations having militant Black Panthers intimidate voters at polls without prosecution. Then Eric Holder has done a bang up job of increasing the racial divide. And if you think sending a regiment of FBI agents to Ferguson to investigate and making personal appearances, speeches, and pandering to rioting racist thugs is increasing the racial divide, then call it all success.

While his own administration can overlook and ignore the random assassination of cops under this new/improved racial division, and spawned from this protest movement. Then he can speak about fairness under the law, with De Blasio, as they dismiss the chants to kill cops. So he calls this being “less racially divided” than when he took office. I’d hate to see what more would look like.

Or maybe, in Obama speak, more is less? Just think, he would never try to claim that about the political divide today.

Ex-CBS reporter: Government agency bugged my computer

By Kyle Smith and Bruce Golding | NY Post

October 27, 2014

A former CBS News reporter who quit the network over claims it kills stories that put President Obama in a bad light says she was spied on by a “government-related entity” that planted classified documents on her computer.

In her new memoir, Sharyl Attkisson says a source who arranged to have her laptop checked for spyware in 2013 was “shocked” and “flabbergasted” at what the analysis revealed.

“This is outrageous. Worse than anything Nixon ever did. I wouldn’t have believed something like this could happen in the United States of America,” Attkisson quotes the source saying.

She speculates that the motive was to lay the groundwork for possible charges against her or her sources.

Attkisson says the source, who’s “connected to government three-letter agencies,” told her the computer was hacked into by “a sophisticated entity that used commercial, nonattributable spyware that’s proprietary to a government agency: either the CIA, FBI, the Defense Intelligence Agency or the National Security Agency.” […/]

For someone they wanted to fire, she seemed to be very popular.

PS: I repeat my line, at least Nixon resigned.

Who is the worst president since WWII?

BySteve Chaggaris | CBS News –July 2, 2014

As if President Obama doesn’t have enough to worry about running the country day-to-day, now his legacy can be added to his laundry list of concerns.

Mr. Obama edges out former President George W. Bush as the worst president since World War II, American voters say, according to a new Quinnipiac Poll released Wednesday.

Thirty-three percent chose Mr. Obama as the worst among the 12 presidents since Harry Truman, with 28 percent choosing George W. Bush and Richard Nixon tallying 13 percent. In 2006, Mr. Bush led the pack with 34 percent over Richard Nixon at 17 percent and Bill Clinton at 16 percent, much higher than the scant 3 percent who currently think Clinton is the worst.

But his legacy was always a top concern. I don’t see how he can add what was his driving force, even if tarnished by all visible recognition.

When asked who the best president is since World War II, 35 percent of American voters chose Ronald Reagan, 18 percent picked Clinton and 15 percent selected John F. Kennedy. Only 8 percent said Mr. Obama was the best since World War II and George W. Bush barely registered on the “best” list with 1 percent.

To add insult to injury for Mr. Obama, more voters say the country would be better off if 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney won the election. Forty-five percent feel America would be better off with a President Romney; 38 percent said the country would be worse off. – CBS

What’s amazing is how he helps make Clinton look good. The ridiculed Nixon is way down on the list. But he did resign. There’s a hot tip for Obama’s legacy concerns. If he doesn’t care about the resurrecting Russian Union, Iran’s nuclear breakout, or the new caliphate formed in the Middle East, then how significant is his legacy, relatively speaking? However, I’m sure his golf game has improved, since he didn’t have one before.

It seems to me that some of the stragglers who still think Obama is a good president also think we’d be worse off with Mitt Romney, with nothing to base that on. Yet they cannot seem to find their hand in front of their face.

Mr. Transparency stonewalls over WH photos and info on Benghazi attack

Once again Obama walls in Benghazi details with his patented tactics..

CBS reports:

White House declines to release images from night of Benghazi attacks

Sharyl Attkisson / CBS News/ November 21, 2012, 11:49 AM

The White House Photo Office has declined CBS News requests to release images taken of US officials during the Sept. 11 Benghazi attacks.

CBS News first requested the images on Oct. 31. In the past, the White House has released photos showing US officials during national security incidents. A half dozen images related to the mission that captured and killed Osama bin Laden were given to the public last year. One depicts President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and members of the national security team gathered in the Situation Room on May 1, 2011.

A White House official referred our request regarding the Benghazi attacks to the White House Photo Office. On Nov. 1, an official there indicated she would process our request quickly, but then did not respond further. Finally, this week, the White House Photo Office told CBS News it would not release any images without approval of Josh Earnest in the White House Press Office. Earnest did not respond to our telephone calls and emails.

Another dead end for the transparent ‘tell all’ administration.

Meanwhile, in less than 24 hours, photos are shoved out surrounding the Israeli Palestinian cease-fire to show an “engaged” prez.

But four dead Americans in a place Obama claimed to liberate, and we don’t have a single photo of an “engaged” president on a terrorist attack, September 11, 2012. Two and a half months and no situation room photo, information, nothing.

But it is photo-mania over the “cease-fire”.

Link to WH flickr photo account with lots of cease-fire call photos.

4 photos listed under “cease fire”

“President Barack Obama talks on the phone with Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi in the Oval Office”
“President Barack Obama talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel during a phone call from…”
“President Barack Obama talks on the phone with Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, aboard Air Force One…”

Along with photos of Obama meeting “privately” with disaster victims at FEMA center.

And certainly the turkey pardoning photo would also be available.
(or is that turkey pardoning turkey?)
