Democracy was the buzzword 1/20/2021. As if that alone could calm the seas of unrest.
That is the number one talking point for media. Did they worry about democracy in 2016?
If anything shows the real condition of America, it was the contrast between Inauguration Day four years ago and today’s ceremony. There could not be two more polar opposites.
Four years ago they presented the image of mass protests, complete with grief counselors to nurse deniers through. Today it was a jubilant celebration. Everything was pitch perfect; nothing was amiss or awry. Their fairy tale world was full of wonder and awe.
The peaceful transfer of power with 26 thousand troops in the streets. A powerful visual.
America is and always will be One Nation Under God. But we must always resist the state of a nation under siege. Let all those be confused and obstructed who would render this country to the dustbin of history. Let their attempts be foiled at every turn.
But now starts another story for the record of history. The third-term for one Barack Obama. There can be no doubt about it. He has been lurking and waiting in DC.
How is it the Left can always accuse the right of trying to overturn elections when they spent four miserable years trying to undo the last one? Then they changed every election rule in the book, and broke nearly every one, to get the results that brought us today.
Was it worth it? Is that a fair price to pay for political power?
Democrats disingenuously sprinkle the notions of unity but by every measurable factor, we are a nation divided. It is sort of like a tied football game where one side opposes overtime and denies that the score is even close.
The Senate is exactly split. The House of Representatives is the closest split it has been in 50 years. That is no mandate. Four years of Leftist disunity brought us here. Do not blather about working together now.
After engaging in a four-year coup against the will of the people, leading to their cancel culture program, do not now lecture us about the “politics of a raging fire.”
Having half the country under siege is exacerbating the politics of rage. Those fires we’ve seen in the country were a product of politics of rage. Rioting was their weapon of choice.
A few more words but not mine. They are the inauguration rhetoric. Phrases which, at this time, I cannot call well-intended.
Will of the people; guardians of democracy; sacred trust; weapons of political arson; hope for justice.
Roy Blunt: “Determined democracy” — oh, is that what you call it?
“Triumph of a cause- democracy; resilience of the Constitution; restless, bold, optimistic; seek a more perfect union; winter of peril; cry from the planet itself; restore the soul; my whole soul is in it; fight the foes we face; history, faith, reason; no peace without unity; crisis in challenge; politics of a raging fire; lies told for profit; time of testing; significant opportunity.”
Rev. of the AME Church: “Neither shall we learn hatred anymore.”
Biden said “we have much to do in this winter of peril and significant opportunity.”
And for Heaven’s sake, stop calling the pandemic a crisis. Call it what you believe it is, an “opportunity.” Hundreds of thousands of deaths were only opportunities to the left.
So from now on, how about calling it the “opportunity virus,” which quid-pro Joe is not done extorting yet for everything he can get. Half the nation is already under siege.
We are a divided nation. The dividers are in charge. End the siege.
Nothing conveys peace quite like 26,000 troops and razor wire. Kumbaya
