Pope walks like an Egyptian

The Pope hits the road to Egypt, which especially lately has been paved with Christian persecution by those underappreciated peaceful Muslims. According to CNN :

That history will provide the Pope an opportunity to plead, again, for nations to open their borders to migrants fleeing violence in the Middle East, a stance that puts him at odds with populists in the United States and Europe.

The meetings with prominent Muslim leaders, including the Grand Imam of the venerated al-Azhar University, offers a chance for the Pope to continue an oft-overlooked aspect of his papacy: his outreach to Muslims. [more]

But Francis walks like an Egyptian as Pope. So he’ll make sure to get in his digs, mainly to the West, that opening our borders to migrants from the Mid-East will purify our hearts. If only we would open up to 12th century barbarianism, we’d be the better for it.

When do we stop playing by the Muslims’ Rules for Radicals book?

Anyway, Francis is on the road again. Does he learn, like the first Francis, that you cannot appease these people? Let’s see how empathetic he is for victims of Palm Sunday.

Egypt: Mo Bro terrorists on the cusp of revolution

Take a look at the lovely, peaceful Mo-Bro (Muslim Brotherhood et al) that the Obama administration has been in bed with. Serious stuff.

Muslim Brotherhood hired terrorist elements from Sinai to carry out terror attacks in Cairo — by Eman Nabih

On the 21st of January 2016, Muslim brotherhood terrorist organization threatened the Egyptian people through many statements published on their social networks accounts and their websites, that they are going to slaughter anyone whether from civilians, police or army individuals, if they stand in their way in their intended “rage and armed revolution” in the memory of the 25th of Jan 2016.

In their statements they added that only those who will stay in their homes on the 25th of Jan, will be safe from slaughtering.– Read

The countdown goes on. Obama and his fellow Mo-Bro sympathizers will look the other way. I won’t hold my breath for a WH statement. That might offend his Mo-Bro brothers. As is well known, the western media will play down the relevance and consequences.

Obama’s Strategic Ignorance Plan

Also could be called strategic neglect, as this piece says. What grade would you give him?

The Cost to America of an AWOL President

by Dr. Sebastian Gorka Feb 2015 | Brietbart

In the recently released, but largely unheralded, National Security Strategy of the United States, the new buzz-word was “strategic patience.” As our unarmed Marines hastily departed Yemen, and ISIS closed in on their fellow devil-dogs in Iraq, the President was more than showing patience: he was making video about taking selfies.
The new National Security Strategy of the United States, which was a year late and strangely dropped on a Friday – a technique usually reserved for documents the administration doesn’t want to be read – opens with a a letter from President Obama.

In it, he states that his answer to the threats and challenges that face the nation is “strategic patience.” Instead of tackling the dangers of the word proactively and head-on, America will play a waiting game. This fits neatly into previous approaches from the White House that have emphasized “leading from behind.” Given the geopolitical realties of today’s world, American voters should draw their own report card of what a reactive and “patient” approach has brought the Republic in the last six years:

  • The Global Jihadist Movement: Not only is Al Qaeda not on the ropes, but ISIS /The Islamic State has overtaken it as a fully-fledged insurgency which is so powerful that latest reports have it attacking the base in Iraq where US Marines are deployed to assist the Iraqi army in standing itself back up after being routed last Summer. As media attention focuses again on the Middle East, especially after the gruesome immolation of Lt. Moaz al-Kasasbeh of the Royal Jordanian Air Force, the Jihadist movement grows ever stronger in Africa, with Boko Haram killing thousands and enslaving hundreds of Christian girls. Back home, we have the unprecedented statement by the director of the FBI that the Bureau is investigating ISIS activity in 49 states of the union. (Every state except Sarah Palin’s Alaska).
  • On the Shia side of this global war, we see that not only is Iran very deftly outmaneuvering the administration when it comes to its nuclear program, its proxies are gaining ground in South Asia and the Middle East, most especially in Yemen, where the Houthis have captured the capital. This despite the fact that Yemen was lauded last year by the President as one of the true success stories of his counterterrorism strategy.
  • The most populous and important Arab Muslim state, Egypt, has not responded well to “strategic patience” – or rather, strategic neglect and rejection of the White House. When the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood government of Mohammad Morsi was deposed by General Sisi, Cairo became the black sheep of the region as far as the administration is considered. This despite the fact that now-president Sisi is the only Muslim leader since 9/11 to openly call for a “religious revolution” in Islam aimed against the violent jihadists that threaten his nation as much as ours.
  • With the “pivot to Asia” declared by then-Secretary Clinton resulting in nominal, if any actual, redirection of our attention to the region, China has proceeded to build up its military and use it to intimidate its neighbors and lay claim to new territories in ways that could very easily lead to a shooting war in the region.
And in Europe, Vladimir Putin has managed to break a 60-plus year international taboo by using force to redraw borders and annex the territory of a neighboring state. Clearly, the former KGB colonel believes in being a pro-active leader.
This is just a short version of a disturbing list that could be made much longer. The empirical truth on the ground is that we have enemies at home and abroad, enemies who believe neither in “leading from behind” nor in “strategic patience.” At the same time, the most powerful nation the world has ever seen has a Commander-in-Chief who is Absent With Out Leave.
Sebastian Gorka Ph.D. is the Matthew C. Horner Distinguished Chair of Military Theory at the Marine Corps University. — Brietbart

I’ll just call him Captain Decadence for now. The patience of Neville Chamberlain. Whatever the horrible results of Obama’s strategy are, he will channel Chamberlain to describe it as “peace for our time.”

Egyptians attack Obama in media

Egyptian Media Portray Obama as Satan

Egyptian paper Al Wafd portrays Barack Obama as Satan.Al Wafd

Raymond Ibrahim | PJ Media

Popular and widely read Egyptian newspaper Al Wafd published the above picture today portraying U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama as Satan himself. The unflattering picture has been making the rounds on Facebook in the Middle East and, according to Al Wafd, is representative of the hatred growing numbers of people in the region have for the American president, thanks to his staunch and unwavering support for Islamists and jihadiis — whether in Nigeria, Libya, Egypt, or Syria — even as they terrorize, murder, rape, and burn down Christian churches, that is, even as they engage in diabolical activities.

So they got Obama’s number, literally. There’s even the 666 in there and they say he has Muslim Brotherhood ties. I wonder how many papers that sold in the Arab world? No response yet from the “clean and articulate” Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Egypt and UAE strike Islamist militias in Libya

By Anne Gearan August 25 | Washington Post

The United Arab Emirates and Egypt have carried out a series of airstrikes in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, U.S. officials said Monday, marking an escalation in the chaotic war among Libya’s rival militias that has driven American and other diplomats from the country.

The Obama administration did not know ahead of time about the highly unusual military intervention, although the United States was aware that action by Arab states might come as the crisis in Libya worsened, said one official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.

The airstrikes appear tied to fear over the growing muscle of Islamist militias. The region’s monarchies and secular dictatorships are increasingly alarmed about Islamist gains from Libya to Syria and Iraq.

At least someone took some taken. Could this be the reason for the turnabout tough-talk statements from the administration, via Dempsey and Hagel? Who knows but it validates the seriousness, while the Oval Occupant waxes his putter. Well, I wonder how long it will take Obama to hear about it from media?

A year later, Mid-East looks no better

What a difference a year makes, or not. Last year around August 15th we were watching churches across Egypt being burned. We saw the persecution not only from terrorist groups but from the whole Muslim Brotherhood network.

Flash forward a year. Almost the entire Christian population was ousted in Iraq, killed in genocidal persecution, or uprooted and driven from their homes and communities. Much the same in Syria. So yea, a year later and it has gotten worse for Christians. In two days alone, last year, over fifty Christian locations were attacked or burned supposedly under the banner of democracy.

Ah yes, remember that canard about the Arab Spring wanting to usher in Democracy? As the smoke cleared, literally, what was clear was that they were bringing in the Muslim Brotherhood, not for the purpose of Democracy. Yet it was the administration, along with Clapper and Brennan, who were cheerleaders for the movement. Then, they mocked those who saw it otherwise — as the rise of another authoritarian regime.

Remember that “Democracy”? They could have done without our support and cheerleading. Social networks were abuzz about the significance. They wanted it to be so. But at the same time they could not support a real uprising in Iran where it mattered.

But what it actually would prove is something else more dire and truthful. The dictators like Mubarak and Assad were correct all along when warning that their regime was all that stood between them and the radicals and terrorism. Take your pick from a basket of evils. That their power was all that stood in the way of ruthless Islam, in all its tentacles, and terrorism. We refused to accept that from Egypt to Libya.

What it really proved?

That the people there can’t handle it, or are not willing to strive for it. And probably didn’t even want it. The dictocrats were right, and it was not merely a ruse to keep them in power. They understood it. Of course they had their self-serving motives too, but the reality was clear and they had a point. They knew better than us.

The Arab, Islamic world is not ready for that and cannot handle it. No sooner was power overthrown, than a new Islamic evil stepped in to fill the void. (almost as if planned) We had been told for years what would replace their dictatorships. But we went into starry-eyed denial at those possibilities. We didn’t understand. Then we underestimated the organizational abilities of the Islamic network.

Iraq was under a dictatorship for years. They did not know or remember anything else. Liberals saw no problem with that structure. They criticized the very idea of throwing out Saddam. Better the evil you know. They were not willing to even give it a chance. They still to this day rail against it.

However, they saw the Arab spring just the opposite as something we should support unconditionally. They demonized those dictators, postulating they deserved to be ousted on their keisters. They had said “so what?” about Sadaam. This even with the Libyan adventure fresh in the rear view mirror. Despite all the signs, we believed just like Obama’s campaign slogan. And not only was it not meant to be, but it was meant to be something else entirely.

We were warned. It was the insurance policy of ruthless dictators that removing them would set about terrible things. They were right. After all, in the rosy-eyed Democratists’ eyes, the Arab Spring was the cure – not the disease. Now we see the truth, as inconvenient as it is. Mid East Arabs are not ready for prime-time Democracy. Maybe it is an acquired taste , and maybe it is something you have to work for rather than something that just happens in the absence of centralized power. Lesson learned. But not all of us do accept the truth in the lesson. Ideologues will not be moved.

Sure, Egypt has shaken off the bug and gone into remission. But nothing can undo the events of the last year. What a lesson it should have been for the western world. And the Arab Spring equaled Christian catastrophe. You cannot impose democracy, then hope for the best. It must come from within, from ideas to concept. Some will say it was working just fine, even in Egypt, even as the churches burned. I just know there is a metaphor somewhere between the events and those burning churches — when churches burn it can’t be good.

Then again, we could have learned much the same lesson with Yasser Arafat. It has gotten even worse since. It is the terrorism state. The only issue is how much credibility and influence the world bestows on it — and it on the world.

Truce deal between Israel & Gaza

Islamic Jihad: Truce Deal With Israel Next Monday

Terror group says an agreement will be signed at the end of the current ceasefire, confirms Israeli concessions.
By Ari Yashar | 8/15/2014 | Arutz Sheva

An Islamic Jihad spokesperson on Friday claimed that a truce deal with Israel will be signed as soon the current five-day ceasefire ends next Monday at midnight.

“We expect a complete truce agreement to be signed right as the five-day ceasefire ends. The delegation has made much progress in ending the siege and the offensive on Palestinians,” Yousef al-Hasayneh told the Palestinian Arab Ma’an News Agency.

Al-Hasayneh said that the current ceasefire extension was agreed to on Wednesday night to give the Egyptian intermediaries time to remove “technical issues” blocking a final agreement.

The Islamic Jihad terrorist confirmed numerous reports that the proposed truce deal would ease the blockade on Gaza, expand the naval fishing zone, and allow construction materials into the Hamas terror enclave. He also confirmed that discussion on the issue of a sea and airport in Gaza would be postponed for a month after the agreement.

While US President Barack Obama’s government has reportedly been pressuring Israel to agree to a truce deal, al-Hasayneh said “we, as the Islamic Jihad, are not interested in American sponsorship because we do not trust the United States, the partner of Israel, who supplies them with arms and money.”

In fact, Obama’s administration recently blocked a missile shipment to Israel according to a Wall Street Journal report on Wednesday night, and ordered greater scrutiny on future weapons transfers. /….

Right, construction materials and blockade changes and, supposedly, without disarming measures. But it is interesting to hear Gaza cannot continue with the war.

The statements come after Islamic Jihad second-in-command Ziad Nahala said Friday the war with Israel is “behind us,” adding “we have no choice but to reach a truce agreement.”

“The great destruction caused by the war obligates us to leave this (war) status,” said Nahala.

Egyptian Doctor Files Terrorism Complaint With U.S. Congress Against Barack Obama

The Egyptian media is reporting that Dr. Sadek Raouf Ebeid has filed a complaint with the U.S. Congress accusing Barack Obama of using U.S. tax dollars to fund Terrorism in Egypt.

Editor’s note: This video was originally posted, edited, and subtitled by shoebat.com.

The charges brought against Malik Obama by Dr. Sadek Raouf Ebeid and his attorney in Egypt have now been brought to the attention of tens of millions of Arabs.

Above is a short clip from a 10 O’clock news broadcast by El-Qahera wal Nas (Egypt and its people).

As it turns out, Dr. Ebeid is now based in Tempe, Arizona, right in our back yard. He has been demanding for some time now that Congress investigate Obama and his brother Malik over their heavily documented ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as Obama’s use of taxpayer dollars to fund terrorism in Egypt.

To get more details about Dr. Ebeid’s concerns, read his personal letter to House Speaker John Boehner.

Coptic Leaders Condemn Obama Adviser’s Anti-Coptic Tweets

by John Rossomando
IPT News
October 11, 2013

Major Coptic leaders are condemning Mohamed Elibiary, an Obama administration Homeland Security adviser, for suggesting that Copts who raise awareness of anti-Christian violence in Egypt promote “Islamophobic” bigotry.

Elibiary sent out a series of tweets that Coptic leaders found offensive last month. The tweets appeared to chastise the Coptic community for lobbying on behalf of their relatives in Egypt. He targeted them because they had aligned themselves with conservative groups that he called “Islamophobic.”
VERY disturbing if true: bit.ly/18xotzi US DHS adviser accuses #Coptic #Christians of inciting Muslims! #Speechless! Pls comment!” Bishop Angaelos, Coptic Pope Tawadros II’s personal representative in the United Kingdom wrote in a Sept. 28 Twitter post.

Elibiary personally attacked Michael Meunier, president of Egypt’s al-Haya Party, two days earlier after Meunier spoke with The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) about Elibiary’s earlier offensive tweets against the Copts.

“Sad2c #Coptic @MichaelMeunier aid #Islamophobes anti US Muslim community agenda ….,” Elibiary wrote.

Elibiary initially defended sporting the R4BIA on his Twitter profile, saying “#R4BIA=#Freedom4ALL.” But he relented to pressure Friday and removed it. “While I did remove #R4BIA twibbon as I updated my profile, my view & support of its human rights & pro democracy values continue. #AntiCoup,” Elibiary wrote.

Christian and Muslim Egyptians Protest Obama Policies at White House

by John Rossomando
IPT News
August 23, 2013

Hundreds of Egyptians – Christian and Muslim alike – gathered outside the White House Thursday afternoon to call attention to the plight of Coptic Christians and denounce what they see as the Obama administration’s tepid response to a recent spate of church burnings.

“Down, Down with Ikhwan!” they chanted in reference to the Muslim Brotherhood. Since Egypt’s army cracked down on Muslim Brotherhood protesters, the Islamist group and its supporters have torched dozens of churches and attacked Christians.

Muslim women in hijabs could be seen mingling among their Christian neighbors and joining in the chants.

Protesters later marched to the headquarters of the Washington Post and CNN to express anger at the lack of coverage given to the attacks on Egyptian Christians. Then they went to the Council on American Islamic Relations’ (CAIR) headquarters. Protest organizers consider CAIR to be the Muslim Brotherhood’s “embassy” in Washington.

The sight of hundreds of angry protesters outside its building prompted the Washington Post to lock down its lobby.

Protesters defended the Egyptian military’s decision to forcefully clear out the Muslim Brotherhood protesters staging sit-ins in Cairo, and they chided the Obama administration for condemning the military’s action.

“Egypt right now is dealing with terrorists,” said protester Sherif Mina. “I mean, he’s talking about peaceful demonstrations in Egypt by the Muslim Brotherhood. Is it peaceful when you carry machine guns, and artillery weapons – and all these kinds of torture that they’ve done to the Egyptian people, and the neighborhoods that they were sitting in?”

Secretary of State John Kerry acknowledged the popular Egyptian belief that the military intervened at the request of the people. But talk of cutting off U.S. aid in the wake of the army’s crackdown – in which hundreds were killed – seems to have reinforced protesters’ perceptions that the Obama administration has sided with the Brotherhood.

Many Egyptians now consider the Muslim Brotherhood to be a terrorist organization that destroyed the fabric of Egyptian society during its year in power, protesters said. That belief was proven by street protests against President Mohamed Morsi – the Muslim Brotherhood’s candidate – which drew an estimated 30 million Egyptians. American foreign policy should back the majority of Egyptians who do not want the Muslim Brotherhood back, protesters said.

They also called for a secular, free and democratic Egypt.

Basic necessities became scarce under Muslim Brotherhood rule, electricity became sporadic, gas lines were common, and poor Egyptians were being hurt by the declining value of the Egyptian Pound by the time 30 million Egyptians took to the streets to say they had enough.

As the army violently clamped down, Islamists turned to Egypt’s Christian minority as easy scapegoats or accused the military of promoting “Islamophobia.” But that didn’t fly with Muslims who joined Thursday’s protest in Washington.

CONFUSION

I’m getting old and constantly find myself in a state of confusion. Watching the news about Egypt, I find the people democratically elected Mohamed Morsi as their President. Then it seems, as soon as he was sworn into office, he threw out the constitution. This totally pissed off the people of Egypt and the military kicked him out of office.
This is where the confusion comes in – sometimes I don’t know what town I’m in or even what day it is – but I look at the UNITED STATES of  AMERICA and I think I remember the people of the UNITED STATES democratically elected Barack Hussein Obama as their President. Then it seems as soon as he was sworn into office, he threw out the constitution. This totally pissed off the people of the UNITED STATES but the military did nothing. What is going on ? Oh – I know – we cut our military budget so we would have money to send to the Egyptian military.
Do you think we can send a petition to the Egyptian government to send some money to our military ? Never forget, the tree of liberty must often be nourished with the blood of patriots and tyrants – hopefully, mostly theirs. Keep in mind – the timid have never known the thrill of victory nor the agony of defeat. We must learn one or the other to protect our country – the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.

Committee Chairs Want Answers on Blind Sheikh Release

IPT News
September 20, 2012

Eight House committee leaders have written to Obama administration officials asking about reports the administration is considering an Egyptian request to release blind Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman from prison.

“If these reports are true, such considerations would be extremely disconcerting as release of this convicted terrorist should not happen for any reason,” the letter from U.S. Reps. Lamar Smith, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., Mike Rogers, R-Mich., Howard “Buck” McKeon, R-Calif., Peter King, R-N.Y., Hal Rogers, R-Ky. , Frank Wolf, R-Va., and Kay Granger, R-Tex., said. Each chairs a significant House committee.

The query was prompted by a story published Monday by The Blaze and discussed by talk show host Glenn Beck. A Blaze staffer said an unnamed Obama administration told him Abdel-Rahman’s release was being “actively considered.”

Abdel-Rahman is serving a life sentence for plotting a series of bombing attacks on New York tunnels and landmarks. And he is considered the spiritual influence behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing that killed six people. His imprisonment has become an obsession for some in Egypt, with new President Mohamed Morsi promising to lobby Washington for Abdel Rahman’s release when he meets U.S. officials.

It was Abdel Rahman’s imprisonment, and not alleged offense to an anti-Muslim video, that triggered violent protests outside the American embassy in Cairo last week, U.S. intelligence officials say.

Pretext of WH explanation

From the official WH press briefing September 13th:

Q Are you satisfied with the efforts the Egyptian government has taken to protect the U.S. facilities there?

MR. CARNEY: Well, I can tell you that the United States embassy in Cairo is secure and all U.S. government personnel are safe and accounted for. There are protests, small protests, in Cairo continuing, and obviously, we are monitoring that situation closely. And I would note that, again, the protests we’re seeing around the region are in reaction to this movie. They are not directly in reaction to any policy of the United States or the government of the United States or the people of the United States.

Let me understand, 4 government officials come home in coffins and this is “not directly in reaction to any policy of the US, or the government of the US, or the people of the United States”? Nor are assaults on our embassies.

I’m so glad he made that clear. Okay, just as long as they weren’t directed at the US or the American people. (obvious sarcasm)

Is that any comfort to anyone? These are the people that have issues with Romney and his statement.

Democracy turns its wrath on …

Here in this country Leftists, along with the allied minions in the Occupy Movement, have developed cutesy slogans and chants to fill the air about “democracy”. We’ve all heard them as they’ve spread across the airwaves. One is the rhythmic chant “this is what Democracy looks like”. They also have bumper sticker slogans all, directly or indirectly, aimed sooner or later at our electoral process.

Most notable is the:

“Tell Me What Democracy Looks Like! This is What Democracy Looks Like!”

In keeping with their fellow Leftist legislators and agitators, they keep it alive and relevant – if not by the movement’s activities then by the sound bites that echo even in the halls of the Capitol and in left-centered media. But aside from that, and all their talking points, below is an article how their democracy-seeking counterparts in the Mid East play their hand in the same game. But ignore the consequences of both at your own peril.

Muslim Brotherhood ‘Democracy’: Slapping, Stabbing, and Slaying for Sharia

by Raymond Ibrahim
Special to IPT News
July 9, 2012

Prior to the presidential elections, it was revealed how Egypt’s Islamists viewed democratic elections as an obligatory form of “holy war.” Then, any number of Islamic clerics, including influential ones, declared that it was mandatory for Muslims to cheat during elections—if so doing would help Islamist candidates win; that the elections were a form of jihad, and those who die are “martyrs” who will attain the highest levels of paradise. Top Islamic institutions and influential clerics, such as Yusuf al-Qaradawi, issued fatwas decreeing that all Muslims were “obligated” to go and vote for those candidates most likely to implement Sharia law, with threats of hellfire for those failing to do so.

The point was simple: democracy, elections, voting, even the individual candidates, were all means to an end—the establishment of Sharia law. Cheat, fight, and kill during elections, as long as doing so enables Sharia; vote only for whoever will enable Sharia; avoid hell by enabling Sharia. (It is precisely for this reason that the very first demand made by Islamic leaders is that President Morsi implement the totality of Sharia law in Egypt. That is, after all, why so many voted for him.)
