Thinking Aloud: Parallels

I read things and some things really bother me. So then is the answer to just stop reading?

I’d like to think not. Though it is frustrating to see what you must to inform yourself, while not being able to control your blood pressure. That frustration is real and I know a lot of people feel it. I suppose there is some desperation too.

I haven’t found a way to turn it into a comic game yet. Nor do I want to. It’s been a long time but I have read lots of pieces from the Socialists, Marxists and commies. That alone is an effort, with the way they speak about it. I researched much of it in the 90’s seeing what is out there and I have to say, not a whole lot as changed. Even the same graphics they use.

It is almost like peering into a timeless vault where no current events have really affected it, not their thinking anyway. Of course much of it goes back to what Marx and Engels wrote so it really doesn’t change. And their mindsets haven’t changed either.

What I can say to try to sum it up is they are persistent and bold. They believe in this ideology. These are hardliners who, whatever name they prefer to use at present, are actually commies. Most are very aware of it. Some are just rationalizing commies that only think it has not been implemented correctly yet. But the ideology stands as justifiable to them today as it was when Marxism was rolled out. Deaths and failures be damned.

They will not change. The question is how many adherents can they gather to follow along or become their useful idiots? Today should provide some optimism. You know, years ago I used to raise it to liberals and they would mock the mere fact I brought it up. They would claim that is all dead, like Nazism, and for the sake of discussion socialism is an old relic. Or that is what they said.

Today, they proudly boast of socialism and it is adopted by the mainstream Democrat Party. Though old Marxists have told us the only destination for Socialism is Communism. That is where it all leads. But that is not popular to a lot of people, so they would prefer telling people that they have found the right mix, good socialism.

Backup to what I have concluded from what I learned. The important thing is that Marxism or Socialism is both an economic and political system. It combines the two. And you really can’t separate them, as planned. If we don’t keep banging the gong about the evils of socialism, we allow it to continue. Remember the old “Gong Show” where a panelist bangs the gong to stop the act, to end the agony of enduring it? Even when we see those real workd examples in Venezuela, the left ignores the message. Then they tell you that was an outlier. How many outliers do you need?

Another thing on my mind lately is the Brexit situation in the EU. It seems to keep going on and on. Now with a hard date approaching, they are trying to pass a bill to delay it until the end of June. You see them dragging their knuckles in Britain doing everything they can to stop it. But people voted on it, they made their decision. Now it is up to leaders to enact the will of the people. But they just can’t do that. So they stall and complain.

Isn’t it amazing how much in common the USA has with Britain at this time? I notice all the parallels. The same thing applies here. The establishment is kicking and screaming to any major change. They certainly do not like rolling back their power. In both places people made their will known and the establishment promptly ignores or defies it. As if we hadn’t decided. Do you see that timeline running in parallel? In 2016 we had an election, and UK voted for Brexit. The powers of government have been in resistance ever since.

Look at the spread of antisemitism in Europe. The same thing is happening here. But those who stand up against it are called names. We are the problem. Call out or talk about the Islamists and you are the problem, not radical Islamists. Yet that is only a hint of what’s to come. Radicals have infiltrated European countries by immigration, and we now have radical illegal immigration threatening every part of our US border. Organized invasion. They all claim it is a peaceful and beautiful thing to be praised and celebrated. Only it isn’t. There are real costs and consequences. However, we the people should ignore those. In Britain, they tell the people the same thing, “just ignore it, don’t make waves.”

See how much we have in common with the political agendas in both countries?

One would also think that lawmakers in both places would take note of this frustration and stand of the people. But they don’t and dig in their heels instead. They want to wait us out or defy our will. They claim to know better than the pesky people what is good for them. It is amazing the similarities running in parallel.

In Israel, they are trying to route Netanyahu. The same thing applies in the US on a greater scale. Give us more time, they say, and we will get rid of him. We will change things in the next election, they claim. But what about the election in 2016? That didn’t count. They want a mulligan on that. Its the next election, roll out the polls. The Left does not want to solve any of these problems. Actually, it wants to exacerbate and agitate them. They want more friction until they get their way.

When I see the parallels in Britain with ours, I am astonished. The same attitude exists in the people. They are so fed up. The last straw was over two years ago and no one noticed. They call us names, we are the problem not what they are trying to do. Now they want another election to fix things. Fix it? No way.

Here was a statement by an old time rock and roller from the Who. It stunned me. Frontman Roger Daltrey wieghed in on Brexit in 2017:

“We are getting out, and when the dust settles I think that it’ll be seen that it’s the right thing for this country to have done, that’s for sure.”

“It’s got nothing to do with any of the immigration issues or any of that for me. It was to do with much more. The majority of this country felt that their voices weren’t being heard. It would have been nice to do a deal with Europe but they didn’t want to do a deal, and they sent Cameron back with a bag. (More)”

Now in 2019 he spoke up again saying the EU is like being governed by the Mafi. Not a big fan. Yet they keep trying to find a way to drag out Brexit, or stop it altogether. Seems like the whole world has huge denial issues. No wonder the people are sick of it. Elections mean nothing, referendums mean nothing, the will of the people means nothing.

Along comes California. The new Governor, Gavin Newsom decided to up and end capital punishment. Well, just a year or so ago the people voted to keep capital punishment and speed up the appeal process. Sure, that sounded a lot like ending the the death penalty. But Newsom doesn’t care about what voters say. In fact, he promised when he ran that he would not let his views influence law or the death penalty. But no, he overturns it all by himself. Will of the people be damned, once again. Promises mean nothing, especially when made on the campaign trail to get elected.

Contrast that with President Trump who is actually trying everything possible to keep his promises and deliver for the people. Oh, can’t have that now, can we? But Newsom will be praised and Trump will be condemned. Every roadblock imaginable is thrown out in front of Trump to stop him. Or even stop his presidency altogether. The will of the people meant nothing when we elected him, it means nothing to them now.

So shift all the emphasis onto the next election. They didn’t accept the results of the last one. Now they want an election to nullify the 2016 election. Meanwhile, obstruct and defy the voice of the people. The people cannot be allowed to make decisions.

The people don’t want impeachment and don’t like the effects of socialism. But force both on the people. Tell us we have no choice. But our choice was never respected.

New WP policies

New WordPress policy started May 22, 2018. But I don’t know if the policies are new or just the disclosure of them in this way.

If you notice the banner at the bottom of the page on coolies privacy policy, you can view the information about the policies

So I’ve checked them and most of it seems pretty standard. However, there is still always a factor of how third parties use the information they collect, and what user information they are allowed to receive.

This brings to mind thoughts about the internet marketplace. It has me asking questions about the power of advertising, or ad partners. And about the indiscriminate ads that are applied to one’s site, unbeknownst to the site owner. These things bring up issues related to leftist activism, focused at people they disagree with. Seems like there is a can of worms there just waiting to be opened.

A lot of this disclosure, as well as some rules, seem to be based on the EU regulations.

*GDPR — General Data Protection Regulation of the EU

Here is something that stymies my mind. Obviously I am not in the EU. However, one of the WP tools, Akismet, gives you this reminder.

To help your site be compliant with GDPR and other laws requiring notification of tracking, Akismet can display a notice to your users on your contact form. This feature is disabled by default, however, if you or your audience is located in Europe, you need to turn it on.

Now you have no control over who your viewers are. So does that mean just because there is a chance a viewer may be in the EU, you are compelled to comply with GDPR?

What message Brexit sends

Once again the infamous CNBC anchor puts his finger on the button — or trigger. Rick Santelli, who kicked off the Tea Party movement by his trading floor statements on taxes, said the Brexit vote was a decision against globalism. Not the market kind of globalism but the elite political type of globalism — or Globalist control.

But there was the problem with the diagnosis. If the political ruling class elite going out of control in its many regulations was the problem, then what could be the solution? Well, it is a little hard to call for reform of an abject global elite ruling class — unaccountable to the masses. That does not seem a viable option. How do you reform an elitist political power who by its own definition and existence thinks it knows better?

“Bureaucrats in Brussels” is a political power that is out of control, operating on its own as a sovereign, unaccountable authority. Exit seems like the only option. And who wants Brexit to be successful? That all sounds familiar.

Oligarchy is ” government by the few, especially despotic power exercised by a small and privileged group for corrupt or selfish purposes.” (Britannica)

Brexit was the equivalent of the Declaration of Independence. The words in the DoI echo those sentiments.

“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Typically, the results of the vote was blamed on things like a hard line group of people. It was xenophobia, nationalism, racists, anti-immigration types according to Brexit critics. When even advisers on the Cameron side admitted that most of those voting to leave the EU were not of that sentiment. But it makes for great labeling. In fact he claimed most weren’t associated with the branded “controversials” like Nigel Farage — the effective campaigner and leader of a leave the EU movement in the UK.

Some call this a “nativist politics,” short for ugly nationalism which they despise. That’s funny, isn’t it? Aren’t “all politics local?” They resort to names and pejoratives. Why the rush to demonize the rational voices who call for an EU exit, or who question the entrenched political power here in the US? They have to blame it on something, and cannot blame global elites and their arrogance of power. Much easier to blame the people who resent it.

Tony Blair said the anger replaces the more rational voices. But it is the more rational voices calling into question that entrenched, elite power which is speeding out of control. The elites are out of touch — not the solution to the problem. Leave it to the Gobalist and liberal elite mindset to define our resentment as the central problem.

Now they all worry about the “fallout” from the Brexit decision. Well, we have all been experiencing the “fallout” consequences from the strangleholds of elite Globalists, and their all-encompassing agenda.

Interesting too was who the supporters were. All the cast of clebs and famous, including political elites, were stuck in the remain in the EU position. At any cost? They did commercials and ads to stay in. Leftists and liberals lined up, surprisingly. ^

Hillary twists the referendum result into a US mandate for her experience and calmness.(achem) But if it is a referendum on anything, it is an indictment on the very elite ruling class like heiress Hillary, and her world-wide trail of failures. It makes the case for her?

It does illustrate her big problem in this election. She cannot now associate herself with a movement for sovereignty that calls out elitists or globalists. She is one of them, the poster child for globalists — with no spine, only a bank account and family Fundation. So they turn to demonizing the very people who use rational reason to get out of such entanglements. She represents the entanglement culture of political Globalism. Expect nothing else but for Hillary to demonize anything that may oppose her as sexist, xenophobic, racist, misogynist, ignorant or crazy. So she is also calling the majority of Britons the same.

Link to an excellent speech

“Silence is Not an Option”

Below is the prepared text of speech given last night by Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff at the Ahavath Torah Congregation in Boston.

“Death Can Be Silent – The Present State of Free Speech in the U.S., Europe and Beyond”

Speech given by Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff
Ahavath Torah Congregation, Boston
June 17, 2013
[*a few excepts]

I’ve just recently learned that the audience for my talk may be larger than I had previously thought. In addition to the listeners gathered here in Stoughton, my words may be recorded by NSA and digitally stored in a huge database — all part of the struggle against “terror” and “violent extremism”. Since this congregation is a non-profit organization, the IRS may also be listening in, just to make sure that what I say here is compatible with your tax-exempt status.
If my words ever happen to be passed on through the social media, the person who posts them may be subject to criminal penalties. Yes, that’s why U.S. Attorney Bill Killian went to Manchester, Tennessee a couple of weeks ago: to discuss using federal civil rights laws to punish those who make critical remarks about Islam.
Such is the current sorry condition of free speech the United States of America.
If it’s that bad here, what must conditions be like elsewhere? This nation used to be a beacon of liberty, the shining city on a hill that inspired the entire world — what has happened to it?
I can tell you from my own experience that Europe has slid even farther down the slippery slope to tyranny.
We, too, live under constant surveillance by our own governments.
The security services in Britain and Sweden are entitled by law to record and store all forms of electronic communications — telephone, text messaging, internet usage, and so on.
Most countries in Europe have been gung-ho to implement the EU’s diktat. So many people have been harassed, detained, arrested, prosecuted, and convicted for criticizing Islam that it would be impossible for me to mention them all. To read a full list, even if it were possible to compile one, would take several hours at least.
But let me give you a brief representative sample of Europeans who have been persecuted by their governments for their opinions on Islamization:

[A few of her examples]

From Britain: Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, a.k.a. Tommy Robinson, the founder and leader of the Islam-critical English Defence League, has been tried repeatedly on various contrived charges, and convicted on some of them. Late last year he spent several months in solitary confinement before he even made his first appearance in court.
From Finland: Jussi Halla-aho, a journalist and local politician, was tried for giving examples in his blog of things about immigrants that were now illegal to say. He was convicted and fined, and lost his appeals to all higher courts. He also lost his position within his party, the True Finns.
From the Netherlands: Geert Wilders, the leader of what may now be the most popular party in the country, was put on trial not once, but twice for expressing his opinions on Islam. After a lengthy and expensive court process, he was acquitted in both cases.
From Switzerland: Avi Lipkin, a.k.a. Victor Mordecai, was tried and convicted of “inciting hatred or discrimination against a person or a group of persons on the grounds of their race, ethnic origin or religion”. His “crime” was committed during a discussion about the upcoming referendum on the minaret ban, when he read verses from the Koran requiring Muslims to hate Christians and Jews. He was convicted.

Dividends piling up for Obama’s green agenda

Abound Solar Finances Under Investigation

DOE-loan recipient filed for bankruptcy in June

BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff
October 8, 2012 3:22 pm

The finances of a solar company that received $68 million in federal stimulus money are now under investigation in Colorado, reports ABC Denver:

http://freebeacon.com/abound-solar-finances-under-investigation/

———————————————————————————————–

I’ll just add some of my comments.
After all the rage about solar companies, where Obama succumbed to one of his worst losses — or “bets”– the industry is on the move once again. But not in an upward “can’t fail” way.

Months back, large solar companies in Europe were forced to lay off workers or just went under. The market flooded with cheaper goods from China was to blame, as it also cornered the market on raw materials. Sales for Solar companies outside China plummeted. China appeared to be capitalizing on all the losses elsewhere.

Then, stories came about huge layoffs in Germany as companies went belly up. The business and future it held for employees even in Germany sank for an industry which seemed to hold such promise for its economy.

This is a warning about the dangers of government manipulated industries. China is the prime example. The solar industry once heralded as the new wave enjoyed growth and expansion everywhere, especially in China. The same government that subsidized it is picking winners and losers. Sound familiar? The state-controlled banks are the government’s cops on the beat. Of course, the banks decide who will survive by who gets loans and who doesn’t. And banks are not granting loans only for expansion, another blow to the sector.

Now the government decided it is time for industry consolidation after it endorsed expansion for years. So they must force consolidation. Banks already limited expansion and now encourage mergers and acquisitions within the sector, large companies buying smaller operations.

There are growing cries for tarrifs on China. Let’s see what that brings; or if they materialize with the same hyper-addiction the industry enjoyed? US has stepped up tariffs and the EU is on the verge of adopting tougher measures. Other countries are considering that formula. So a monopolized market is finally getting squeezeed as others seek relief to China’s “dumping” around the world. And that reaction appears to be creating a problem for China.
