Media Vultures

In the good old days, Johny Carson might make a joke in his monologue something like “the media is so bad”. To which Ed McMahon would say “how bad is it, Johnny?” Carson would nail it saying “it’s so bad that ….” But those days are gone and so are most of the jokes. Now it’s sort of pathetic that media is the standing joke. But no one is laughing.

In those days the media might have taken a cue from the national criticism. Not today. Judging by their current reaction to criticism, they cannot be shamed or even insulted. However, they feel so offended that Trump called them the enemy of the people.

As the IG report on Comey came out, media took a pass for the most part. CNN didn’t really mention it. MSNBC looked for anything else to talk about, including the Dick Cheney hunting mishap. What happened was the IG was compelled to put out an 80 page report on what Comey did.

Last week, CNN foisted the bombshell canard about an asset in the Kremlin that had to be whisked out because Trump was about to out him. Except it didn’t happen. Well that storyline got dropped real quick. What asset, what story?

That story was probably meant to detract from the not so convenient news about the left’s coup and the investigation of it. Sure, no one needs to bother with that.

Then we have the big story about another Kavanaugh accusation. The witness does not remember the incident. NYT was forced to back peddle and said they inadvertently left that part of it out of the story. They had to delete tweets and edit it. The author of the column threw NYT under the buss for having the policy of not naming witnesses.

So naturally that part got left out because of their policy. Say what? You mean NYT cannot mention a witness doesn’t remember anything without naming her?

While over at CNN, they discussed the non-story. Paul Begala let it be known that Democrats will never stop on the Kavanaugh issue. He said they are going to keep it alive forever. It will never ever die. So truth or reality means nothing to those folks.

NYT committed another intentional error when it said in Tweeting a piece on 9-11 that 18 years ago planes took aim at the Twin Towers in NY. They went further than ILhan Omar saying said that the planes did it. Omar at least grumbled that some people did something — without saying who or what. See how the left works? Then NYT had to delete and edit that storyline, too. But it did fit with media ignoring the 9-11 commemoration.

This is not news. The lamestream media are in the narrative business. It isn’t news at all.

Some people did do something, all right. Well, it was not rogue keyboards conspiring.

9-11 The Infamy Wears Off

It is that important national day of 9-11, once again, with all that it entangles. I find myself still in a constant state of mourning for all the families and great loss of that day, 18 years ago today — feeling more like it’s been 18 months. The kind of loss so big that it always leaves a lump in my throat.

But now, on this day, I am also in mourning for something else. I mourn the loss of CNN, too. Yes, you heard me right, grief not grievance.

I remember back in the early 90’s when CNN was a fledgling news channel as it covered the first Iraq war, Dessert Storm. I recall C-130 Hercules transport planes flying non-stop overhead 24 hours a day in a perpetual pattern. I was told that’s what they were.

For the up to date information, you could turn to CNN as a source for news. Wolf Blitzer was on location there somewhere reporting what was going on. It was called the first televised war — even if that was a distortion. CNN was one voice in a vacuum demanding real-time information. We needed to know what was happening in a country finding its war and defensive posture. CNN was there. Maybe reports were not complete or up to the second but it is all we had. In fact, before it started we were well aware of circumstances via media reports. No internet to rely on either.

Contrast that with the menu of cable news we have now, with Internet and social media compliments. It’s almost hard to imagine that CNN was so prominent of a news source then. But those days are gone, and so is CNN as a credible news source.

So today I am mourning that loss as well as 9-11. Back on 9-11, 2001, CNN tried to keep up with a slurry of news. They tried, at least temporarily, to provide unbiased coverage. I have to say, by then, Fox did a better job. Cable went commercial free for days in wall-to-wall coverage. We were mostly a unified nation, even if George Bush was the President. (Not Al Gore)

The bad guys were in the deserts and mountains of Afghanistan. A new area we didn’t know that much about. So much to do and say. Before a military response, there were debates in Congress and they lined up supporting force. Only a few outliers.

Well, with all the mourning today, there are a number of things regarding 9-11 that can anger me like almost nothing else. Those are: lack of respecting or accepting the attack for what it was, trivializing the sanctity of the day; drawing unreasonable parallels or equating other acts of violence to it; using that historical event to promote other partisan political agendas; giving short shrift to victims of that day that continue to mount; or depriving those victims of dialogue and justice that still evades them all these years later. Or, basically misusing the memory or sacred observance of the day. (even 18 years after)

But CNN manages to do about all those, on the day it is memorialized in 2019. And they did it as a matter of programming, which reveals planning. I could list endless poof and examples but that is more writing than I care to do now. I shouldn’t have to that is obvious. It is not only CNN but the entire left does the same. It is not nit-picking.

So cable news chose to talk about gun control, the impeachment agenda and normal partisan gotcha politics. There are 364 other days in the year and that is not enough, they have to corrupt this one too, like everything else?

No, they could not even be bothered to respect the memory and events of the day. They must defile the day’s memory and its significant importance. Nothing is sacred.

Congratulations, CNN, because today you earned the “enemy of the people” title anew!

Media Does It Again: making donuts

The lamestream media has done it once again. Synopsis: media put out an article that they thought was a damning case against Trump but instead vindicated him. But don’t tell.

This really gets to be a tiring exercise always chasing down what media says verses what it really means. Actually nothing is ever what MSM says it means or thinks it means. That alone would be an indictment on journalism, in a normal world. But is it?

Here is the problem, they know what they are doing. The reality can’t condemn their incompetence because they are not. They are just competent at getting things consistently wrong, by intention and design. It is the same proverbial question always raised about Obama. Is he really dumb, naive or just arrogantly inexperienced; or does he know exactly what he is doing? Too many people missed that distinction giving him the benefit of any doubt. (a benefit never awarded to Trump) Incidental verses calculated?

In Obama’s case, he did know. But we were not supposed to be on to him. His first duty was to keep any naivete public illusion alive. In other words, the first goal was to deceive. Hypothetically, he could have really been wistfully unaware each and every time some major scandalous thing happened, where he only read about it in the papers, but then none of the full picture about Obama would fit or make any sense. And it would have been completely wrong, which he desperately wanted and needed us to be. See similarities?

The key is you find out the answer to any questions about radicals’ conduct and motivations for it when they are confronted. You will know by how deeply they dig in to defend or explain it. Then you know how intentionally malicious and subversive it all is and how important to them. Their anger and lengths they go to only confirms their intent.

That is why it is important to keep confronting “progressives” and radicals, to keep pointing out what they are doing. I mean one could stop and say what is the point because they know and I know what they are doing? That is too easy for them. However, I am not under the illusion I am getting somewhere or proving something in pointing out the issues.

It was the same way with Obama, we knew what he was doing and he knew it but it needed to be said. Unfortunately, he was never confronted the way he should be. But enough people did raise questions and he apparently heard those questions, we now know.

I think the real point with these cold, calculated people like Obama or MSM and others is not that they are doing a job but that their real mission is a fine art in deception. They see that as their talent. Objectivity or fairness never has anything to do with it, or very little. Only that illusion matters — and they aren’t too convincing about that.

No wonder they hate the fake news label with everything they have, as it is everything.

Their whole goal is not to tell you something but make you think and believe a certain narrative. So the narrative rules, which coincides with a political agenda. See it is all up to us then, how we perceive them as to how successful they are at their mission. If we believe CNN, NYT or media to be noble and credible sources, they are halfway to their goal. Then you will likely accept what they tell you when they feed you the narrative. So it is very much about telling you what to believe, not informing you. (unless by informing they mean forcing you to believe their narrative.) The rest is downhill.

While it may seem redundant to us to keep pointing out the lies and problems with their narrative it does serve a purpose. It challenges them to explain it and also lets them know that we know. If that basic deception is the first objective their mission and narrative depend on, it puts them back to square one. See they really need people to believe them. If they can’t get people to that they cannot convince them in the (political) narrative.

Think about this, as a tribute to their success, they could convince a good part of the nation into sedition without the people even realizing exactly what they are engaging in. If they are that good to string them along on that, what else can they lead people into?

That is their formula, whether it is on Russia or any of their other favorite pet issues. The left uses the same tactics. Obama’s campaign theme was not so much on “change” but the “believe in” part that made it possible. On reelection he told people just keep believing. So, pay attention not to what you see but what we tell you to see and what you believe.

Serving News for Fools Daily

Serving up the news of the day, dishonesty is the media and journalists’ modus operandi. Dishonesty is their specialty, they work very hard at it. Increasingly fooling no one.

Remember when it was always common perception that media-journalists were just looking for the truth and want to report it, no matter on which side the axe falls? No more, their purpose is deception. It’s their objective.

See how they work in concert with progressive politicians and other allies, in unison?

And when they find someone who is a problem for them and their political narrative, or political allies, then ‘by any means’ becomes their mission theme.

In reality, the MSM don’t really value their readers much — you know, the one’s they claim they “are doing all this for?” They might do it for their diehard progressive groupies that also spread it, who don’t really care about the truth anyway. Not for us.

Two great current examples are, the story I just mentioned on Steve Emerson, the terrorism expert; the other is the Russian collusion narrative they just can’t let go. Because it is central to their mission. Regardless of their reasons to deceive the public viewers or readers, and drive their political narrative, people have not accepted it at face value.

Hard as they try to ruin Emerson’s reputation as a expert terrorism analyst people know where the real lies, bias and hate are coming from. Where they have been coming from the last eight years under Obama.

Now there is hard evidence mounting that the people also know the truth about the Russia collusion narrative. A new Gallup poll shows how the people feel about the narrative being foisted on them from MSM and the Democrat echo chamber, hour by miserable hour.

“A lot of Americans have kind of dismissed the idea that [Trump] colluded to the extent that he did something illegal,” summarized Gallup editor-in-chief Frank Newport during an interview with The Hill.

The numbers back him up. A poll released last week showed that a relatively small percentage of people — 29 percent — think that Trump illegally teamed up with Russia to influence the presidential election. [CT]

If inquiring minds want to know, anything, then MSM wants to force feed them what it wants people to know – or believe they know. Now deception is business as usual.

It is all clear by looking at that poll. But the jig is up, I don’t think anyone can really deny it anymore, unless they are one of the proud card carrying disinformation believers and truth deniers. Not that they just don’t want to know the truth, they just plain don’t care. The leftists believe what they want. Damn the truth or evidence to the contrary. They can’t be bothered with that, the narrative is too important to be shattered by anything.

Here’s another served up on a hotbed of lies, media reports Trump is happy about victims of Hurricane Florence. Imagine? That one is reverberating in media the way you would expect a great lie to do. They love a fictional story, especially on Trump. Who sticks around for the truth? No one reads corrections. Sensational headlines are never retracted.

For a bonus, even Ruth Bader Ginsburg is sick of Democrats’ grandstanding on Kavanaugh hearings, admitting the circus has gone too far. You know the saying when you’ve lost RBG, you’ve lost the country. No, I say that. LOL Dems are burning their bridges.

CNN the victims of record

CNN has a new hobby horse and they are very concerned about it. Over last weekend they received threats and someone threatened to come to the studio and gun them down. Apparently authorities have arrested the person.

Let the lectures begin. Don Lemon and several pundits complained about victimization of media they, CNN particularly, have suffered. All of the fault blamed on Trump of course.

Do I even have to make a disclaimer on how wrong it is to make death threats or assault the media? That should not have to be said. I resent being compelled to say it.

So CNN wraps itself in the Victim label. That part of it disturbs me almost as much as the death threats. But they care nothing about the abuse or damage they have caused.

I look at Trump and see the one giant victim in the room that no one seems very concerned about. That whipping post never gets old. They don’t even care what damage that does to the country or to the US around the world. Nope. But media cannot issue one small disclaimer about that. No lecture on that subject.

Yet I hear what this “threat” environment has done to the media. (over and over) Well, they aren’t exactly blameless in their victimhood.

Right away, one of two examples of media hatred cited was the infamous pro-wrestling video Trump retweeted of him body slamming CNN. (the station not an employee) The other video used to make their case against Trump was his golf ball hitting Hillary as she got on a plane. Clearly these two things were humor not threats.

Remember what they did over the the body slam video? CNN claimed it endorsed violence toward CNN and media. Then they hunted down the creator of the video, attacked his character, and threatened to use their bullhorn on him. All for making a funny video.

On this show, where Don Lemon got emotional just reading the CNN statement, all claimed to have gotten threats and “nasty” comments across social media. April Ryan said she got a ton of nasty comments and some threats, and was keeping a list of them. They suggested Fake News was a dog whistle and also driven by racism. Well, just throw it all in there.

Then it all depends what one considers a “threat” though. CNN threw in a funny video as evidence of what, some threat? And they claim this has never happened before. April Ryan claimed all her harassment and threats started when Trump got elected.

The same network is proudly leading the resistance and opposition to Trump. To think they are not going to get any negative feedback would be ridiculous. But are they lumping all the feedback into harassment and threats? Seems they are. I guess they did not notice the other part of the first amendment, freedom of speech.

Muslim woman, subway ‘victim’ made it all up…surprise

Fake news alert: No assault, no victim, no news…. no phony racist attackers.

NY Daily News

She made it all up — and now she’s under arrest.

The Muslim college student who claimed she was harassed on the subway by three men who shouted “Donald Trump,” called her a terrorist and tried to rip her hijab off her head has admitted to detectives that she concocted the entire story, the Daily News has learned.

“Nothing happened — and there was no victim.”

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/muslim-woman-reported-trump-supporter-attack-made-story-article-1.2910944?cid=bitly

Where are the people who are worried about fake news. How about fake victims?

So her freedom of speech apparently includes filing false police reports.

Hey, fake news media, I got your “fake news” right here!

Fake News Is Obama’s Legacy

Fake news is the new code word, wolf whistle for Liberals. Media have made a cottage industry of naming anything remotely foreign to them a #FakeNews story.

So naturally the story of Pizzagate is now considered Fake News. Who really propels fake news stories? That would be the liberal Democrats. Lie whenever you have to; make it up to fit the purpose.

Well, we had an entire fake news construction of the disinformation campaign on Benghazi. Remember the video cause of Benghazi? Remember how it was up to us to prove that video narrative wrong? They withheld any evidence. Then they wrote the narrative that Benghazi was a manufactured story. Everything was a manufactured, fake story to them.

Before Benghazi, they wrote the fake news story ‘GM is alive and terrorism is dead’ — certainly no threat. So they went to any lengths to call Benghazi attack, even on 9/11, anything else but terrorism. Fort Hood was workplace violence. The fake news story of “hands up don’t shoot” went all across the media and is still repeated.

We had Solyndra and all those fake stories in their green agenda. Later, they went under and taxpayers money was lost. They lied about those.

But it was more than that. The whole Obamacare concept was designed, built and sold on lies. Constructed on deception. We call that fraud. If it was a private business it would be called false advertising. It would be labeled fraud or bait and switch marketing.

Speaking of fake news stories, Obama keeps saying he had a scandal-free administration. No media challenged him. Some things are so outrageous you know it’s a lie. But no one tells POTUS. I can already see the number one word in Trump’s presidency will be “lie.” Yet the word was banned under Obama’s reign.

Obama has a knack for lying. So virtually every time he addresses people he’s pushing fake news. Remember the JV team for ISIS? Remember terrorism has nothing to do with Islam? We found the intelligence was manipulated to deceive and paint a rosier picture. He didn’t want to hear bad news.

Then Obama always claimed to know nothing until he saw it in the media. Even though that would make him incompetent. But saying his administration was — until his last day — scandal-free is utter bullshit practically no one can believe. Still he repeats it. Reality has no impact on Obama. A fiction writer is his top foreign policy adviser.

He lied about Iran. He lied about the TPP trade deal. He lied that the Iran deal was not a treaty, to circumvent the Senate. Iran was fake news. He said there was no ransom for hostages. He said there was not a smidgen of corruption in the IRS. And that was a huge scandal. Scandal-free? Now he touts his great legacy which is fake news on steroids.
