Sanctuaries for illegals, bullets and crime for citizens.

Sanctuary cities — my new term is Sanc-cities.

Byron York has an article in the Washington Examiner reporting what Obama, Clinton and Biden said in debating it in 2008.
Clinton said:

So this is a result of the failure of the federal government, and that’s where it needs to be fixed.

The problem is the federal government has totally abdicated its responsibility.

Its the one thing they all had in common, each blame federal government for being derelict in its duties. According to them, this is the reason we have sanctuary cities to begin with.

Now that they are the ones running federal government, the problem is immigration is so broken. But they won’t say what exactly is wrong with the laws, or why they are broken, they just propose “immigration reform”. Why would anyone not be suspicious about what they are doing? They even claim that the sanctuary policies make the cities safer. Creating a huge magnet to attract illegals, and release them to recommit crimes makes cities safer?

Notice how progressives blame federal government, like ICE, but yet they don’t want ICE to be able to do their job. No they don’t want any cooperation between local communities and ICE. Actually, the dems would have all sanctuary cities, towns, communities. But they would still blame the federal government for being derelict in their duties — to enforce the law. It’s equivalent to a dog or cat chasing its tail endlessly. How can they get away with this since the Dems are in control of both the sanctuary cities and the federal government? (via executive branch)

The Constitution never gave cities or towns the ability to write immigration laws…or ignore them completely. They have policies like don’t ask don’t tell on immigration. They don’t want authorities to ask immigration status nor illegals to say they are undocumented.

We have a full-court blame fest going on. Sanc-cities blame feds, feds blame the cities, Obama says we need more funding for the laws they aren’t enforcing. All say that the system is completely broken that we need reform to fix the problems.

In other words, we cannot fix any problems without creating another bureaucratic expansion of federal government– and funding it the same. So they want more laws for Sanc-cites to refuse to enforce. Or until they get ones they like. Border agents blame administration for threatening them not to enforce the law.

All these oath takers cannot keep their oath of office. You might as well call it civil disobedience. But if they were really in civil disobedience, you would think they would just quit the job in protest then if they cannot do it. Instead, they defy their oath of office by not following the law despite what the consequences of that brings.

The Left’s cultural theatrics and flag warfare

I’m disgusted and sickened by the SC shootings for multiple reasons and various evils. It’s all bad enough. Yet 9 people were executed by a racist and the left has everyone litigating a flag. Why should that surprise anyone? Planned Parenthood is murdering babies every day but progressives are emotionally hemorrhaging over “structural racism”.

Institutionalized extermination at Planned Parenthood deserves the protection of the federal government. The left enshrined abortion as a sacred right and force judges, appointees to swear on its altar as a litmus test. Margaret Sanger’s agenda in tow.

So now the progressive left are in fits over a piece of cloth on a pole, while they demand government subsidize and protect institutionalized extermination clinics. But don’t dare mention federal budget cuts for Planned Parenthood funding. Funding cuts are war words… but get rid of that offensive flag. Dr. Kermit Gosnell could not provoke their wrath. Liberals couldn’t even find their way to his courtroom trial. Peter Singer’s bioethics, fetus farming, late-term abortion and infanticide are all on the table. Flags are a huge issue.

Ferguson: the ideo-mindset

A couple things strike me as odd about the Ferguson matter.

The disdain for police is only part of it. Then the mistrust of the police is probably the bigger part. They all expressed it, which seems to be at the heart of the discontent. The rally was a rail-a-thon against the police.

But as the solution, they want the federal government to take over the entire investigation. So do you not have trust in local police and prosecutors, local government et al, but you have complete faith in the federal government — especially this DoJ under Eric Holder? The answer of course is yes, yes.

Sort of leaves me scratching my head how they complain about the militarization of police. That is a very real problem, I can understand that. It is one thing many of us are concerned about. Then they are upset at the national guard being brought in. On the other hand, they are begging the feds to take full control over everything.

So feds don’t abuse their authority, don’t screw up, and don’t deserve our distrust? Right, I have a bridge for them. The federal government that has politicized and scandalized almost every department, and can’t manage our border, is the infallible super-hero.

Am I missing some dots or not connecting them? I just find that strange. I know their desire is to make it a civil rights case, but the exuberant trust seems very questionable.

One way street gone wrong

When I look at our federal government I see all kinds of religious similarities. (Actually more than similarities) It wants to tell us when and what we can worship.

In Art VI is states that no religious test shall be a qualifier for office. And yet the same Constitutional Republic makes its Supreme justices swear on the altar of Roe v. Wade as settled law in order to serve on the nations highest court. The absurdity of that is completely lost on the Left. It takes religion and idol worship to new highs. Meanwhile Christians are told to shut up and forced to participate in the ceremonies.

It should be a one way street, going one direction, but somewhere they have reversed that direction. The greatness of our country is rooted in our freedom. Now we are told that our freedom only flows from an all-powerful state. That Big-Government blesses our lives and providing air to breath, not the opposite. We the people are forced to bow to it, willingly or not.Citizens are no more than serfs.

Individual states and their powers are being reduced to ceremonial figureheads, subservient to Federal government. Obama has declared war on the states on many fronts, namely in ObamaCare and EPA regs, and on and on. He usurped the powers of the states as well as the legislative branch. We have an all-powerful executive sitting on the throne. He makes laws as he wills, he ignores them at will, and he dictates to the states. He carries out vengeance on those who don’t cede to his all-powerful authority. He does the same to states. He threatens those who disagree with him and his ideology. He renders us all wards of the state. We have whatever freedom he allows.

It is completely reversed from its inception. It is no longer contingent on the will of we the people, but “we the people” are dependent on Obama’s will — as he sees fit. The Left seems fine with this paradigm, as long as those in power are its own missionaries. Their applause in the SOTU to his unilateral agenda said it. All is well, they assert, while gladly being tied hand and foot to this Leviathan.

The federal government does not represent federalism any more than a third-world dictator does. It is centralized power and functions with that purpose. It wants only the illusion of states’ powers, and usurps everything else. The Bureaucracy even controls the purse strings of the states. The EPA asserts itself between the states and the Supreme Court. Arguably, some see the EPA as more powerful than states. Plus many departments wield their power similarly from Homeland security to the Dep of education to HHS, vying for control over states. It’s now the religion of tyranny.

Must be the season…
