Obama debt, disaster and deceit … are always looming

Professor of fiscal irresponsibility, Obama, enlightened us in his press conference:

    “So let me explain this. If Congress refuses to raise what’s called the debt ceiling, America would not be able to meet all of our financial obligations for the first time in 225 years.
    And because it's called raising the debt ceiling, I think a lot of Americans think it's raising our debt. It is not raising our debt. This does not add a dime to our debt.
    It simply says you pay for what Congress has already authorized America to purchase, whether that’s the greatest military in the world or veterans’ benefits or Social Security. Whatever it is that Congress has already authorized, what this does is make sure that we can pay those bills.
    Now the last time that the tea party Republicans flirted with the idea of default, two years ago, markets plunged, business and consumer confidence plunged, America’s credit rating was downgraded for the first time, and a decision to actually go through with it, to actually permit default, according to many CEOs and economists, would be — and I’m quoting here — “insane, catastrophic, chaos” — these are some of the more polite words.
    Warren Buffett likened default to a nuclear bomb, a weapon too horrible to use. It would disrupt markets, it would undermine the world’s confidence in America as the bedrock of the global economy, and it might permanently increase our borrowing costs which, of course, ironically would mean that it would be more expensive for us to service what debt we do have and it would add to our deficits and our debt, not decrease them.
    There’s nothing fiscally responsible about that. Preventing this should be simple. As I said, raising the debt ceiling is a lousy name, which is why members of Congress in both parties don’t like to vote on it, because it makes you vulnerable in political campaigns. But it does not increase our debt. It does not grow our deficit, it does not allow for a single dime of increased spending. All it does is allow the Treasury Department to pay for what Congress has already spent.”

So let’s review. Raising the debt ceiling does not add a dime to the debt, but not raising it adds to the deficit and debt. Got it? He can see how increased borrowing costs add to our debt; but raising the debt ceiling — because we are right up against it — does not add anything to debt. Nope.

How many times have we increased the debt ceiling under Obama? A few now. Why? I suggest the debt ceiling has been raised many times, over time, which allowed the debt to rise. How else could the debt have risen above the ceiling ? So why, then, do they always link hitting the debt ceiling with default — if they are not going to add to the debt?

    Government debt in the United States has steadily increased from $2 trillion in the mid 1980s to over $17 trillion today. But as a percent of GDP it has grown from 55 percent to over 100 percent of GDP today.
    In the Crash of 2008 government debt increased sharply to bail out the banks and to provide “stimulus” to the economy. Debt reached 104 percent of GDP in 2009. But debt is expected to plateau at about 122 percent of GDP in the next few years.

But maybe in Obama’s world the GDP could be just shrinking that much.

 
Then he closed his box of tricks with this:

Now, the good news is… Our housing market is healing; we’ve cut the deficit in half. Since I took office, the deficit is coming down faster than any time in the last 50 years.

He has some real sophistry working there. Note he is talking about the “deficit” now. So if the budget deficit beginning in his first term was running all time highs, then he has decreased it from that level. Gee, see isn’t that great?

If its so great then why do we have to keep raising the debt ceiling again and again?(and probably again in the near future.) Could it be that we were so far beyond budget limits that anything short of that looks like a big improvement?

Obama’s bad analogies

We’ve seen about every strategy Obama can use, Constitutional or not, to preserve his namesake program and its governmental force. Yesterday he gave a speech to draw a comparison of Apple’s I-Phone to his program. One with the force of government to buy it, and the other can never meet demand — one makes money the other continually spends or loses it.

Whoopee, Obama makes another nonsensical comparison. What else is new? He likes making comparisons, like going to a dinner with Republicans who walk out on the bill. That one was as corrupted as his policies. He likes to compare Republicans or their plans to anything.

Remember the car in the ditch? Yeah, he proceeded to take the car, stick the gas to the floor and head straight off the fiscal cliff. He blamed Republicans for not stopping him. Then he complains about the damage to the car and the consequences. Not to forget all his terrorism comparisons, hostage taking … from a guy who never wanted to use the word terrorism, even for Benghazi.

It’s funny he is so creative. How come he never compares anything to golf, since that is where he spends so much time? He avoids golf analogies. Meanwhile, he sure has been given enough “mulligans”. But he hasn’t managed any “hole in ones”.

Wake up call for __________ (Rep, Senator, President….)

This is a “wake up call” for Congressman, Senator, President, assemblyman, et al.

Dear _________________________, [aka, blabbermouth extraordinaire]

I am contacting you because of the importance, between taking my kid to the doctor and trying to keep a roof over my head. What with working overtime to pay for the taxes that government at all levels is levying on us. And before searching for a new job because my present one is ending, I took the time to write your office because that is just how important it is. I do hope you appreciate it.

Please be advised, whatever you and your colleagues are doing is NOT working. I would have said “is wrong” but that implies a judgment and I know how you frown on that. And private citizens are not supposed to make those, especially about government and elected officials, or their duties.

But it is not working nor has it been for some time. It is just an illusion you and your cohorts labor under: that government is operating under rules and ethical conduct, according to some invisible principles – which no one can see a trace of – and that it delivers in kind.

However, wake up, it is not working! And it will not as long as you apply the same logic and misguided effort that you all have thus far.

Government is not to serve you, your friends, supporters and distinguished cronies. It is not a personal tool, so stop treating it like your sandbox.

Government of, by, and for the people has been replaced by “Government”– of government, for government, by government And the two concepts have nothing in common. That in mind, it is time to restore the foundation on which this leviathan now rests

It is possible that this will be the last time you hear from an American concerned for the future of this country. There seem to be fewer and fewer of them every year, judging by the number of voters who participate in our “process” and their results.

So be advised, you have been warned. You may ignore the will of the people now, but you will not even hear an echo of those concerned voices in the future. You and your comrades are killing off that voice. Many of them still shell-shocked about our current condition. Instead, all you will likely receive are thousands of “Dear Santa” letters whenever people want something, and you will have to comply with them. So now it is time for you to decide. While I go back to my immediate responsibilities, it would be nice if you took your oath and responsibilities seriously enough to act on them as well.

Former GOP Senator Judd Gregg to Moneynews: US Debt-to-GDP Ratio Is Exploding

The debt-to-GDP ratio in the U.S. is moving to dangerous levels seen in Europe, said former Republican Senator Judd Gregg.

“We know that once a country’s cost is at 60 percent debt-to-GDP level they’re in trouble,” he told Newsmax TV in an exclusive interview.

“Historically our debt-to-GDP level is 35 percent up until three, four years ago. Then it’s bounced,” said the veteran politician, who also was governor of New Hampshire and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Now it’s up to around 70 percent. It’s headed toward over 100 percent. You look at Greece, you look at Spain, you look at Italy, you look at France. Their debt-to-GDP ratios exceed 100 percent and they’re essentially in bankruptcy or headed in that direction. Unfortunately, our debt-to-GDP ratio is heading in that direction, too.”

The Republican discussed his service on the Simpson-Bowles Commission, which he said came to the conclusion that “we could stabilize [at] 70 percent and we’d be doing a good job.” Gregg said that would require a reduction in spending by, “at that time, that was two years ago,” $4 trillion over 10 years.

“Now we need to reduce spending by approximately $5 trillion over 10 years in order to hit that same number.” Gregg said.

Putting politics before people was another topic Gregg covered when discussing his time on Capitol Hill.

“There’s a natural tendency in Congress to want to get re-elected first and not worry too much about anything else,” he said. “It’s a difficult issue because these are complex questions. They involve very important issues that affect all Americans — Medicare, Social Security, tax reform,” he said.

“When you step on to that ground, you’re stepping on to a very volatile area of politics. But at its core is a question of whether or not we have a solid country, and if you don’t have a solid country, then you’re not doing your job as a member of government.”

S&P revises U.S. credit outlook to ‘stable’

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s on Monday upgraded its credit outlook for the United States government to “stable” from “negative,” saying the chances of a downgrade of the country’s rating is “less than one in three.”

In August 2011, S&P became the first credit rating agency to downgrade the sovereign U.S. credit rating from top-rated “AAA” to “AA+,” the second highest rating, and had left the U.S. credit outlook at “negative” at that time.

S&P said in a release that the recent improvements in tax receipts and steps taken to address longer-term budget issues improved the outlook for the United States. The agency raised concerns about the ability of policymakers to tackle long-standing issues due to a deepening of a partisan divide in Washington in the last decade, however.

“We believe that our current ‘AA+’ rating already factors in a lesser ability of U.S. elected officials to react swiftly and effectively to public finance pressures over the longer term in comparison with officials of some more highly rated sovereigns and we expect repeated divisive debates over raising the debt ceiling,” the agency said in a statement.

Rival agencies Moody’s and Fitch currently both hold triple-A ratings on the United States.

Anyone have a clue about the soundness, reasoning, or sheer “politics” of this S&P revision?  And the funniest part is here is the pretender prez-I-dent declaring how bad the sequestration is going to be for the economy and demonizing fiscal politics.  Then comes this.

And the fed has been flooding us with money and monetizing our debt….which incidentally is only going up(drastically) with this meathead, tone deaf, economics-challenged prez.  Of course, that is to presume he even cares!

I’m only grateful the S&P does not install  road signs in America. Remember irrational exuberance? Welcome to Obama’s economy of rational fear. Then again, I guess even S&P doesn’t believe what Obama says.

Obama’s unfair and unbalanced approach

And Obama takes on the “conclave”.

Obama’s mantra of a balanced approach apparently does not include a balanced budget any time in the future — in the near term or the far term. Isn’t it funny that the key word Obama always uses is “balanced” and yet he admits his fiscal strategy does not involve balancing the budget?

He told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos he does not believe in balancing the budget “for the sake of balancing the budget”. Gee, and I always thought that was supposed to be one of the primary objectives of a budget. We’re in a brave new world.

So much for Obama’s “irresponsible and unpatriotic” complaints. I guess he believes in leaving his debt debacle to someone else, anyone.

“Fair and balanced” to Obama means unfair and unbalanced. Now that he tells us balancing the budget is not one of his goals, get ready for the other overused word “investment” to explain away his big-spending plans. All those votes get expensive.

This liar in chief is just a walking talking contradicting king of hypocrite hill (mountain). Besides, he doesn’t even plan to put out his budget until next month. And he blames that on the “fiscal cliff”, sequestration, and of course Republicans.

But even better than his unfair and unbalanced approach, Obama does a photo-op  going to meet Republicans in the Capitol and look how it gets reported. On the same day the Catholic Church is choosing its new Pope, nothing stops Obama’s papacy from stealing center stage.  Just look at this ABC report, complete with photo symbolism and suggestive title.

Still, there is likely more hope for a new Pope today, than positive prospects for a bipartisan debt deal.

Say what, a new Pope is relevant to fiscal stalemates? Maybe they planned black and white smoke for effects too. Some red hats for congress would add to the visuals. Maybe they could have arranged for someone to bow and kiss his ring.

Let me see if I can further their narrative in Rome. Maybe the new Pope ought to immediately start blaming the prior Pope and then take pot shots at the cardinals rather than concentrate on his duties. Yea, that sounds like a plausible comparison. Then he could take to the road and tell the “faithful” to call up the cardinals and get after them. Am I taking it a bit far? I’m just fed up with their narrative.

What’s next, how about a big shout out to the church of Climatology? (that’s coming)

Speaker Boehner and the Republican House are frustrated that they can’t get President Obama or Senate leader Reid to compromise with them.

The regular rules of order in Congress are that the committees hold hearings, both parties have input into the writing of legislation, and eventually the Senate and House leaders have a conference to come to mutually agreeable terms. This conference report results in a bill that is submitted to the president for signing.

But the president doesn’t seem to follow the old established rules. He wants the speaker to visit the White House, meet with him and his inner circle, and, particularly with regard to issues of spending, sign an unconditional surrender.

Analysts have seen this as proof of Obama’s totalitarian ambitions or an inflated political ego. Others characterize it as a sure sign that he is pursuing socialism.

While the president’s behavior can be used to support all of these descriptions, the real answer may be none of these. Those who seek to understand President Obama may benefit from studying the governing tactics of Chicago’s Mayor Daley I. These have been thoroughly described in biographies of Daley. //…

Once these recommendations “arranged” by Mayor Daley became law, the City Council then became “little more than an advisory body.

The fawning news media have not discussed this power-grab. Budgets reveal “who gets what,”vi and Obama doesn’t want the public to know the details.

So the game show president, president not my fault, prez can’t cut the military enough, prez let the illegals out of jail, prez fast and furious, prez Benghazigate, prez can’t get enough gun control, president drone campaign, etc… that six-trillion dollar spendaholic president says the sequestration cuts “are just dumb”.

What could be wrong with that picture?

All the wasteful spending this government does and he thinks a cutting plan is stupid. An idea he put on the table, then threatened to veto anything that would remove it. He said that “none of this is necessary”.

And then he signs the sequestration order into effect, after calling it dumb. I think I have the answer, Obama finally ran out of adjectives and names for Republicans – his enemies. That must be it. Does he always sign dumb ideas into effect that were his idea? I think we know the answer.
Obama - Promises Change Changes Promise
All any of us in this country are to this tyrant are pawns in his political agenda. He doesn’t care about jobs or people, or anything else. He does care about spending money as his means. (votes get expensive) All he cares about is using everyone to his own political benefit. Yet he calls future spending reduction “just dumb”.

Near the end of his sequestration speech, he mentioned gun control on a laundry list of things he will continue “pushing for” and added: “this is the agenda that the American people voted for.“. 

People never voted for gun control. I don’t remember that being the subject in the election. As usual, we the people just don’t understand what he says… now he is already redefining the election.

Get over it, I think not

This should not be have to be said but, with leftists, it seems to be required.

The number one response of Liberals to conservatives is “get over it, Obama won.” That is a snarky command. I don’t know the hundreds of times I heard that reply toward any opposition of Obama’s agenda. It is standard, backhanded rhetoric of the left.

It’s not really defined, and I’m not sure they even know what they mean by it – like many of the vague, superficial and enigmatic things they say.

Liberals never “got over” George Bush. They set the bar pretty high there. They never “got over” Iraq, or WMD, or the 2000 election. And they were proud of it. Still, it is his sycophants’ top reply. Even Obama did not “get over” Bush. He still hasn’t.

I cannot “get over” a country who abandoned common sense and its moral conscience, ignoring their better senses when electing him either. Nor can I get over a dismissive press and media who fail to hold him accountable for his record or decisions. No, it’s not just about him winning the election.

So I will not get over Benghazigate. I cannot get over fast and furious. I can’t “get over” the secrecy and obfuscation of an inexperienced, unqualified president who has set an all time high for hypocrisy. (who substituted a campaign for a resume) I will not get over ObamaCare or the national takeover of the medical industry. I will not get over Obama’s refusal to release records; even records from the Illinois Senate where he voted “present” much of the time. I shan’t get over his ignorance and constipation on the fiscal crisis.

It is not a DUI, an indiscretion from years ago, or just a personal matter.

I won’t get over the arrogance. I will not get over the statements that “you didn’t build that”. I cannot “get over” the house of czars he built; or his Marxist appointments; or his department of injustice; or his ignoring the Constitution and treatment of allies or terrorists; or his obfuscation over fast and furious and records. I won’t get over the ‘my way or calamity’ threats, or Obama’s mantra calling another branch “hostage” takers. I will not get over the attacks on the 2nd amendment, all the lies, or the accusations and insinuations of racism whenever he’s questioned either. No.

However, in context, what “getting over it” actually means is let him do whatever he wants and defy the Constitution and the will of the people, to dictate over the country without challenge. That’s what they mean. To just say when he is questioned, “I won”. Just give him whatever he wants is his and their definition of “just get over it”. That is what “get over it” means, whatever the king wants without objection: “I won, get over it.

So, Liberals and Marxists, just “get over” that already.

It’s a structural problem

It pays to go back to founding ideas, and my favorite is the Declaration of Independence.

The words flow like milk and honey.

Houston, we have a problem! It is no longer the “consent of the governed” but the unjust power of the elite ruling class that dictates. That’s what we got with ObamaCare. It was obvious that was not consent of the governed. They stood against the will of the people.

Deals and bribes by the consent of the ruling class using its unjust power to dictate. We were told this is the way things are done. Our founding philosophy was breached and the elite ruling class gave us what they wanted.

Then we saw it again in the debt ceiling and the fiscal cliff.

“What we’ve got here is a failure to communicate.”

It is not even by sleight of hand, the elite ruling class arrogantly and defiantly decides our government as well as our fate. And it derives its unjust power from itself. No one saw this coming or thinks it is absurd? It is not only Democrats who are guilty either.

Is it any wonder that things are going the way they are?  Liberal-progressives and their tyrant in the White House have declared war on the economy, war on energy, war on business owners,  war on Catholics and Christians, war on religious freedom, war on values, war on the rich, war on babies, war on women and war on the Constitution. Now they declared war on gun owners.

They’ll use every bit of the unjust power they created for themselves to rule. If they can’t legislate it, they’ll use executive power, and use executive power to thwart our efforts. If they can’t get the legislative results they want, they’ll use the courts and their unjust power to create fiat law through regulation. It is all derived from their unjust power.

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. The biggest issue of our time is the debt and our budget problems. Now imagine a president comes out and says I will not negotiate?

In the campaign, Obama gave us lectures about what he would do to work with others and compromise. It was just talk though. Now he says he will not negotiate over the debt ceiling. In fact, what he wanted was unilateral power to raise the debt ceiling by himself. Screw what the people say or what congress wants. He wanted to usurp the power unto himself.

While Obama insisted he was “very open to compromise” in future talks, he emphasized he would not negotiate with Congress over the debt limit.

I will not have another debate with this Congress over the debt ceiling,” Obama said.

 

(Newser Jan 2, 2013 ) – It seems lawmakers on both sides of the aisle can agree on one thing: They don’t deserve a raise. The Senate’s fiscal cliff bill contains a single sentence provision that will stop Congress from getting a scheduled cost-of-living salary bump, Roll Call reports.

President Obama had issued an executive order raising pay for all federal employees, including a $900-a-year bump for Congress, but lawmakers in both houses had pledged to vote it down, the Hill reports, with some wanting to prevent raises for the rest of Washington as well.

“At a time when our country is facing record debt and trillion dollar deficits, the last thing Washington should do is reward itself with a pay increase,” Rob Portman said in a New Year’s Eve statement. Michele Bachmann took it a step further and drafted a bill preventing congressional raises in 2014.

Sure, he’ll pretend to care about deficits, especially while running for re-election. But now that he’s past the post, he’s free to be himself – a committed big-government social Democrat.

As he showed in his two speeches this week. After perfunctory nods to debt and spending reduction, he waxed enthusiastic about continued “investments” – i.e. spending – on education, research, roads and bridges, green energy, etc.

Big spending is back in vogue — with no apologies He’s probably busy making out his Christmas wish-list for next year.

Hary Reid – prince of darkness award

Prince Harry has been running his mouth about how the house won’t act on the looming crisis, as if he was standing there waiting for any response from them. He claimed he was just trying to find solutions to the cliff crisis. Then, as Sunday rolled around, he said he did not have a counter offer to Republicans.

He revealed the truth, he has no interest in negotiating. (negotiation is a foreign word to Prince Harry) They want what they want and that’s it. He accused Republicans of having a dictatorship in the House. He then reverted to the second lieutenant of darkness, Gaffes Biden. But Harry will stand willing to hold the vote for the Overlord of Darkness, Barack Hussein Obama, on his phony non-plan at the last minute – just as planned. The dark forces unite in their kingdom of evil.

As we knew, more tax money — or “revenue” as they like to call it — only means more new spending to them. And no matter how much more they get, they will spend even more. Just what most people feared. Nothing changes in the District of Corruption. All Reid’s pre-game talk was only that, demagoguery.

He made no move to do a budget since Obama was elected, and he hasn’t changed his arrogantly stubborn mind since. He holds the entire government and political process hostage to his dictatorship. He’s nothing but a tool of the evil I was talking about. Sure, there are other greater and lesser actors in this evil. But Reid earned his ‘evil button’.

Evil is as evil does

I’m in such a gloomy mood. I just have to say that any talk about expectations – such as accountability or comeuppance for Obama — now makes my stomach churn. We’ve been on this rollercoaster for a few years. I stopped believing all the hype long ago about this or that being the answer.

Every step of the way I would hear people say there is no way Obama can do that and then he gets away with it. This is why I’m convinced about the evil factor involved in all of it, because despite the opposition he managed to get his way. The right jumped from one glimmer of hope to the next.

We saw it with ObamaCare, when they rammed it through – calling it a penalty and then calling it a tax. Who cared what they called it? People said that is not the final word. The courts took it up and Roberts creatively awarded Obama Constitutionality. Then in the election. He couldn’t even run on his miserable, failed record. People said its Romney’s to lose, but he did. And on and on; from the debt ceiling to the fiscal crisis, standoff after standoff. No way Obama could get reelected. Evil cast its vote with Obama and lady luck smiled on him – or was she laughing at us?

This sinister administration blasted its way through one scandal after another, with no repercussions. Libyagate then to Benghazigate. Fast and Furious was a classic example. Did you ever see the press so willing to ignore and dismiss a story? No accountability for anything. There is no doubt in my mind the evil that is involved. You can blame Congress and Repubs for not doing more, blah, blah … but there is still a huge evil factor in it all, from one end to the other.

Now hours away from the cliff, Obama says he demands a vote (or approval) on his “plan B”, which is really no plan. It’s straight out of the absurd.

As for me, I’m calling it evil. That word is reserved for just such things.

WSJ: Obama Threatened Boehner With Using Inauguration, SOTU Address To Blame GOP

President Obama has threatened House Speaker John Boehner that if no deal is struck on the “fiscal cliff,” he will use his Inaugural address and State of the Union speech next month to blame Republicans, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Excerpt From The Wall Street Journal:

Mr. Obama repeatedly lost patience with the speaker as negotiations faltered. In an Oval Office meeting last week, he told Mr. Boehner that if the sides didn’t reach agreement, he would use his inaugural address and his State of the Union speech to tell the country the Republicans were at fault.

At one point, according to notes taken by a participant, Mr. Boehner told the president, “I put $800 billion [in tax revenue] on the table. What do I get for that?”

“You get nothing,” the president said. “I get that for free.”

Guns front and center… Fast and Furious, fuhgeddaboudit

Obama returns to the podium in the briefing room again. But he should have issued some strict rules and guidelines. It set off a firestorm of reaction following his speech, when off topic questions invaded the press conference.

It is a little hard to swallow Obama’s passion on the issue as ‘gun-runner in chief’. He thwarted, stonewalled, and blocked inquiries into Fast and Furious using executive privilege, now his priority is gun control. This was his third speech about it — gun control. Contradiction never occurred to him, nor does hypocrisy.

Then gun control advocates were frustrated when questions after were about fiscal cliff negotiations. Reporters were even called on to justify their fiscal cliff questions in view of the presidents remarks limited to gun and violence issues. They had to explain the rationale for their questions about the looming debacle.

But when did he make a national speech or commission about violence and murders, many of them children, in Chicago? He didn’t. Oh the president is the only one that can create a task force and then say “this is not a commission”. Does it matter what you call it? He promises it will not stretch out for months and inaction, you know, like Fast and Furious.

Just because the nation is headed for a fiscal cliff in a few weeks, with stalled negotiations, does not mean anyone should be asking about that subject. Nah. Piers Morgan led a charge of gun control advocates against the ofenders. That prompted statements today from reporters to justify their questions.

Gun running to Mexico can’t even be questioned or discussed. And there is no media firestorm about it. That was only “a manufactured scandal”. Obama has no time for such nonsense. He suggests the gun control should not be political and dragged out while they made Fast and Furious partisan ordeal, dragging the Dems for how many months now? They deny public outcry about it. They politicized the Newtown massacre from day one.

But read Obama’s lips, this is no commission on guns….even if it promisses to be a commission on guns. And let’s put that partisan hack, Baretta Biden, in charge of it.

Obama goes from ditch to cliff

Remember Obama’s theme about the car in the ditch and Republicans were behind the wheel? How we needed to take the keys away? Then he told them to get in the backseat and shut up. Update:

Well, Obama had the car yanked back on the road against the laws of economics, tied the Republicans in the backseat, and went on a joy ride. So he’s now doing 100 mph heading straight for the fiscal cliff.

Here’s the caption: “Trust me… Remember, I won. But you can blame those guys in the backseat.”

…and he’s on the phone making reservations in Hawaii for vacation.

A Meeting: Obama, Romney?

So Obama wants to have a meeting with the guy they labeled a tax cheat, that killed a woman, who is out of touch with Americans, who wants to outsource all our jobs, and who has money in a Swiss bank account. (etc, etc.)

A while back, Dana Perino said on Fox that Romney should get off the stage, go away, suggesting we don’t need to hear from him. I agreed and havent’t changed my mind. It seems every statement he makes is more fodder against Republicans, and the left calls it a gaffe anyway.

So why a meeting? Is his role as a whipping post for Democrats not quite finished? What is the deal? Does the Liar in Chief want new ideas? Seriously, would Obamassiah be interested in anything Mitt says? Is this another self-serving grandstanding of Obama….to tell everyone “I won”?

No doubt all we will hear is Obama’s side of it anyway. Or is it yet another opportunity for Obama to pander to his base?
