The Left’s cultural theatrics and flag warfare

I’m disgusted and sickened by the SC shootings for multiple reasons and various evils. It’s all bad enough. Yet 9 people were executed by a racist and the left has everyone litigating a flag. Why should that surprise anyone? Planned Parenthood is murdering babies every day but progressives are emotionally hemorrhaging over “structural racism”.

Institutionalized extermination at Planned Parenthood deserves the protection of the federal government. The left enshrined abortion as a sacred right and force judges, appointees to swear on its altar as a litmus test. Margaret Sanger’s agenda in tow.

So now the progressive left are in fits over a piece of cloth on a pole, while they demand government subsidize and protect institutionalized extermination clinics. But don’t dare mention federal budget cuts for Planned Parenthood funding. Funding cuts are war words… but get rid of that offensive flag. Dr. Kermit Gosnell could not provoke their wrath. Liberals couldn’t even find their way to his courtroom trial. Peter Singer’s bioethics, fetus farming, late-term abortion and infanticide are all on the table. Flags are a huge issue.

What a difference between Zimmerman and Gosnell

I don’t remember the media being so concerned about the content of Sunday sermons before. That’s not usually headline coverage. Post Zimmerman verdict,  media wanted to know what pastors said, and they claimed pastors scrambled to  change their sermons.

Okay, how many of them wanted pastors to speak about Gosnell or abortion? I don’t remember that call for concern. How much attention did they give that verdict? If the pastors did talk about it, then media and the left would accuse them of meddling in civil and political issues – since they claimed Roe/Wade is “politics”.

Everyone is supposed to know Gosnell and abortion has no place in sermons according to the liberal left and secularists.  However, human rights? “Knock yourself out”, they only hope you will speak from the pulpits on that. Anytime, you don’t need a reason and you can weave the topic into anything. They encourage it.

A genocide of 56 million and over 4 decades, no need to talk about that from pulpits, way too divisive. Better stick to human rights, social justice, love and peace. The courtroom seats went empty in Gosnell’s trial, but they didn’t miss a minute of this trial and ran almost non-stop coverage.

Now we know what is really important, so how many had sermons about Trayvon Martin, I wonder?

Notice the below article is Father Pfleger’s church in Chicago not the entire Catholic [C]hurch.

Catholic church protests Trayvon Martin killing

CHICAGO (AP) — From pulpits to rallies, several black churches in Chicago joined the nationwide call for justice in protesting the shooting death of an unarmed black teenager in Florida.
The Rev. Michael Pfleger spoke out about the death of Trayvon Martin during Mass at St. Sabina Catholic Church, a prominent black Catholic institution. Churchgoers wore hooded sweatshirts, as Martin was wearing when he was slain Feb. 26. After Mass, nearly 100 people attended a rally outside the church where youth from St. Sabina performed poems and songs.
“The church has to rise up and get out of its sanctuaries and get into the streets,” Pfleger said.
Pfleger also wore the hood of his vestment robe over his head and called for racial justice. Pfleger is a white priest in charge of a largely black church, and has long advocated against violence.
During Mass in Chicago, Pfleger challenged the idea that children wearing hoodies should be treated as suspicious. One congregant held a sign reading, “We are all Trayvon Martin.”

I bet there a whole lot of props they could have used for Gosnell or abortion.

UPDATE: I don’t believe or imply this is representative or speaks for the entire Catholic Church. And overall, they are very pro-life on abortion issues. There were many various churches mentioning it, as the media stressed. This is not to only single this one out.

Colorado stands up to protect Gosnell methods

Colorado Decriminalizes Gosnell Abortion Methods – No Rights For Unborns

By / 11 May 2013

In close coordination with Planned Parenthood, Democrat lawmakers have repealed the Colorado criminal abortion statutes which is the premise of the newly passed House Bill 1154 – prohibiting criminal prosecution of abortionists like Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell – making it legal in Colorado to kill a child, regardless of the circumstances surrounding his/her birth.

The bill simply decriminalizes any act perpetrated against the child and trivializes it to nothing more than property damage.

The bill states that

“nothing in this act shall be construed to confer personhood, or any rights associated with that status, on a human being at any time prior to live birth. Nothing in this article shall permit the prosecution of a person for any act of providing medical, surgical or any other type of care.”

According to WND.com the Democrats who sponsored and lobbied for the measure are led by Senate President John Morse, majority caucus chair Jeanne Nicholson and House Speaker Mark Ferrandino.

The bill repeals the Colorado criminal abortion statutes and in addition removes freedom of conscience – or, a health care workers right to refuse to be a part of an abortion procedure (so much for choice – so hypocritical). It also protects an abortionist in the case that a minor is brought in to have an abortion, perhaps by her parents or guardian, against her own will. In that circumstance the abortionist cannot be charged.

Colorado Dems adopt ‘Kermit Gosnell Enabler Act’

Repeal[of] ‘criminal abortion statutes’ across state
Jack Minor – WND

On the heels of Kermit Gosnell’s extended abortion murder trial in Philadelphia, in which he was accused of killing infants who had been born alive by using a scissors to cut their spinal cords, majority Democrats in Colorado have adopted a strategy to prevent any such prosecution in Colorado

The Democrats are led by Senate President John Morse, majority caucus chair Jeanne Nicholson and House Speaker Mark Ferrandino. One opponent has come up with a striking name for House Bill 1154, which repeals certain state criminal statutes regarding the abortion procedure.

“Under guise of protecting pregnant women, this bill repeals the Colorado criminal abortion statutes, which in some respects, makes this the Kermit Gosnell Enabler Act,” Colorado Rep. Lori Saine, R-Dacono, told WND.

“In addition, HB 1154 repeals part of the statute that protects freedom of conscience – severing the rights of hospitals, doctors and medical staff to refuse [to participate] in abortions.” /…

To receive the approval of Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups, the  bill plainly specifies it does not consider the unborn child to be anything  other than an inanimate object on a par with any other property that is  destroyed by a criminal.

Ah yes, so much for choice and freedom of concience. Anyone who thought Gosnell was just a blip on the radar isn’t paying attention. Where are all those who say what Gosnell was doing was clearly wrong and illegal?

“Shocked”. Should I say prepare to have your conscience shocked, seared, then extracted like a tumor? ‘Yea, that’s the ticket’.

Then there are Liberals carping away, Gosnell is not representative of the industry. Meanwhile, they want to enshrine him as the poster boy. And the crickets keep on chirping on the left.

It could be Gosnell’s methods just lack a great name like Abu Ghraib they can rail against. That must be it. Maybe it needs a place associated with it…. how about Colorado USA?

Remove conscience from its packaging,
dig a deep hole,
place seared conscience at the bottom,

Gosnell no anomaly, more late-term horrors

Undercover video exposes more late-term abortion horrors

By: John Hayward – Human Events
4/29/2013 09:23 AM

“Dr. Kermit Gosnell is not an aberration,” said Lila Rose, the president of Live Action, a group of pro-life undercover filmmakers. She was introducing a new undercover video that shows the horrors described in Gosnell’s trial “are business as usual for the abortion industry in America. Nationwide, it’s just another day at the office.”

While the two videos released thus far in Live Action’s new series “Inhuman: Undercover in America’s Late-Term Abortion Industry” don’t capture any of the sadistic B-movie horror theatrics that made Gosnell’s trial so stomach-churning, they do reveal a callous disregard for children “born alive” during late-term abortion procedures. This is precisely the situation that our abortion-radical president, Barack Obama, insisted should not be addressed through legislation to protect the life of the born-alive child when he was an Illinois state senator. Perhaps that’s why he didn’t have anything to say about the Gosnell trial – the biggest abortion story of the decade – when he became the first sitting President to address Planned Parenthood last week. (Full video and excerpts of Obama’s speech are available here.)

In the first “Inhuman” video, taken undercover at a clinic in the Bronx – where abortion is legal up to 24 weeks – an abortion clinic staffer makes it very clear that she knows she’s talking about the abortion of a fully -formed 6-month baby. Then she talks about drowning a born-alive infant in a jar of solution to make it stop “twitching.” She makes it clear the clinic won’t trouble its prospective customer with sonograms, or any discussion of the procedure’s target as a “child” or “baby.” And if the baby is born alive at home before the late-term abortion procedure can be completed, the staffer cheerfully advises the expectant mother to flush it down the toilet.

“I don’t know why you want to talk about all this,” the clinic staffer says. ”Just do it!”

Another staffer at the same clinic takes the possibility of an infant being born alive, and thus acquiring defensible human rights, much more seriously – but her description of the very fine line between an acceptable clinical “termination” within the mother’s body, and the killing of an infant born alive just a few inches outside the womb, highlights the inherently dehumanizing nature of late-term abortion. She’s very insistent upon use of the word “terminate” instead of “kill” to describe what happens to the target of a legal late-term abortion.

Part 2 –Then there is NARAL, Huffington Post reported:

NARAL President Ilyse Hogue:

“So let me be loud and clear: Kermit Gosnell is a dangerous predator. He wouldn’t exist, couldn’t exist, without the work of Rep. Duffy and his friends in the anti-choice movement. Opponents of women’s rights have hounded safe, legal health providers halfway out of business and blocked women’s access to the quality care they need.”

He wouldn’t exist if it were not for pro-life folks? Wow there is a stunner. What bullshit. The industry created Kermit Gosnell and those like him…I’m sure she forgot ….to do what they do and take advantage of every loophole or opportunity provided them, and create a few of their own.

Well, we now know exactly what type abortions and procedures he did. (for over 30 years) But of course what she overlooked is he was operating as a licensed doctor in a legal clinic as an abortion provider. Case closed. That he did things she didn’t know or approve of, well, that’s on her and her conscience for supporting the industry he was a part of. But it is the nature of their death business – or business of death.

The above suggests that the problems are wider than one clinic they seem quick to say the doctor was operating illegally. Isn’t it telling that the main reason they raided his place on running a prescription drug operation? NOT the abortions he was doing! As reports and witnesses state, they realized in one look they had a much bigger problem. Thank goodness for us he was running a painkiller racket too.

Hogue condemned Gosnell again on Friday. “The allegations against Gosnell are nothing short of horrific,” she said. “His actions were reprehensible and illegal. What he did in his clinic was reminiscent of the pre-Roe v. Wade days of back-alley abortion. He took advantage of lax state oversight and desperate women whose options were limited by the relentless efforts of anti-choice lawmakers in Pennsylvania.”

She must have missed the part where the reason inspections were terminated were not because of “anti-choice” lawmakers as she claims. It was because the inspection might reduce or cause problems for clinics thereby possibly restricting women from their ability to get an abortion. Inspections might infrinmge on someone’s right of aboriton. So inspections were lifted by “pro-choice” people for pro-choice reasons.

Whoa there Bessy, about the only thing logical here is that his actions were “horrific”.

“Reminiscent of back-alley abortions”? But he was there legally operating a clinic as a licensed Doctor. How reminiscent? Is that not the excuse we hear, legal safe and rare?(= utopia) Yet in his “established” legal practice he was doing this with immunity. And don’t pro-abortion folks say “keep it legal” and it will be safe? This was not safe legal or rare.

Now I know this may be hard for her to swallow the actual details of abortion, namely late-term, but their next assertion is that he is a one off. Well, the above piece describes various other clinics. It is idicative of how they treat the issue of Life and talk to prospects. That’s a nice window into the abortion world, which they told us if it is just legal and widely available it will be safe. Buzzer sound, Wrong!

How in the world can she gleefully try to blame the pro-life people for Gosnell, the way he treated patients, or the procedures that he was doing? Insanity is the only operative explanation. It is up to her and all her colleagues to answer the question — not her opponents — how many of these clinics… or houses of horrors are out there?

Make it a threefer
In front of a large national Planned Parenthood conference on Friday, as the first president to address the organization, he made it clear to the politically aligned crowd:

President Obama declared that “Planned Parenthood is not going anywhere” as the abortion giant continues to take hundreds of millions of our tax dollars.

Obama has been a strong supporter of the pro-choice group, and said that “no matter how fierce the opposition,” the past few years have shown that “Planned Parenthood is not going anywhere. It’s not going anywhere today. It’s not going anywhere tomorrow.

Well, neither are we “going anywhere” or away. For Obama to say that while the Gosnell trial is taking place — while he won’t mention it and yet goes to speak to PP — is the height of insensitivity, disrespect, and lacks the dignity of the office.

A President should stand for life and liberty, he obviously stands for death and the slavery of abortion.

Gosnell, abortion “doctor” heads to trial

There are stories out there which , even for a hard news junky, are so disturbing that it is hard to read them let alone deal with the details. This is one such story.

Thanks to Pepperhawk for bringing up this one that has largely managed to be buried. The magnitude of this evil nature; had it been related to a conservative issue, would be front page, screamed from the mountaintops, and the topic of every talking point. Apparently this story just did not command that much attention from the Left. You know why.

And Dave, in his usual political savvy, pointed out the difference in the way Leftists like Peta treat their issues, with their lack of outrage on this matter.

This is from the current report from the NYT, though the Gosnell story broke in 2011. It has been serenaded by crickets by the left ever since. Maybe they were holding their breath, through two Abortion Anniversary celebrations, hoping it would die off.

Would they give this trial the same attention they give high-profile murder stories? I doubt that. It was on A17 in the hard copy.

Abortion Doctor’s Murder Trial Opens

By JON HURDLE – NYT
Published: March 18, 2013

(Excerpts from NYT)

PHILADELPHIA — In opening statements in court on Monday, prosecutors charged that a doctor who operated a women’s health clinic here killed seven viable fetuses by plunging scissors into their necks and “snipping” their spinal cords and was also responsible for the death of a pregnant woman in his care.

More than two years after he was arrested and the clinic was shut down, and 14 months after a grand jury report described the charges against him, Dr. Gosnell appeared in Common Pleas Court on Monday to face a trial that could result in the death penalty if he is found guilty.

His lawyer, Jack J. McMahon, described Dr. Gosnell as dedicated to treating the poor and accused prosecutors of racism — “a prosecutorial lynching” of his client, who is black.

It’s an elitist, racist prosecution,” Mr. McMahon said. “This black man is being taken because of who he is and where he works.”

One of the prosecutors, Joanne Pescatore, an assistant district attorney, told the court that Dr. Gosnell routinely performed illegal late-term abortions, killing the seven fetuses in operations that would have caused the infants pain.

“If the baby is alive and you don’t want it to be, that doesn’t mean you have the right to take a pair of scissors and plunge it into the baby’s neck,” Ms. Pescatore told the jury during opening arguments of a trial that is expected to continue for four to six weeks.

/….

I wanted to call special attention to this paragraph

… Mr. McMahon said his client had passed up lucrative positions in obstetrics and gynaecology so that he could provide an essential service in West Philadelphia, where he performed more than 16,000 abortions over 31 years.

More at NYT

Those words are apropos: provided an ”essential service in West Philadelphia “. It doesn’t take a brain to read that correctly. And this guy is claiming racism is driving the charges and prosecution against him.

So I guess that justifies puncturing and snipping the spinal chords of babies with scissors, and keeping souvenirs like babies’ feet in jars. I can see where racism fits here. The details that are bound to come out in this trial — aside from frequent chants of “racism” — ought to send anyone running for the toilet. And these are only the ones he is charged with in a lucrative business spanning decades.

Incidentally, any Pa state inspections were set aside under Governor Tom Ridge, because they might potentially discourage some abortions. The question raised by many people is should the state of Pa also be held responsible?

So the libs scream against “torture” by waterboarding, yet are mum on snipping spinal chords of babies even in late-term. Where’s the outrage? Unfortunate for the babies that never had “due process” or a chance to plead in court.
