National Immigration Propaganda Month

How do you know the dog days of summer are here? That would be when the Left and Obama embark on another #Hashtag campaign, #IamAnImmigrant. Or to be more specific, June is dubbed national Immigrant Heritage month.

Our borders and laws are being ignored so the Left starts another ad campaign, recruiting celebs and people too start using the new hashtag.

The left and Obama have ridiculed Trump’s use of Twitter. But these artisans of social media in the administration make no bones about using social media to rally their political support — all the way to Egypt.

The last hashtag you’ll see them promote is #America. Not without a few adjectives at least. But in the case of immigrants, no adjectives are needed or wanted. No need to say illegal immigrant. No need to say legal immigrant because it is all the same, to them. There are no qualifiers to immigration in their minds.

Fox News

According to the latest CBP figures, agents detained 27,754 unaccompanied minors from Central America in the first six months of the fiscal year, almost double last year’s total of 15,616 and just shy of the 2014 record of 28,579.

The numbers for immigrants traveling as families is even higher, with 32,117 apprehended — almost triple last year’s total of 13,913 and well above the 2014 “surge” figure of 19,830.

The immigration rush isn’t just at the southern border. According to the Department of Homeland Security, almost 500,000 immigrants who entered the U.S. legally last year overstayed their visa. Yet, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency removed fewer than 3,000 overstays, or less than 1 percent.

Breitbart

Nonprofit organization Welcome US gathered a star-studded group of Hollywood celebrities to kick off its “I Am an Immigrant” campaign in honor of Immigrant Heritage Month[also anti-Trump].

The group produced a video featuring 50 influential celebrity figures, including actresses Rosario Dawson, Kerry Washington, Julianne Moore, Lupita Nyong’o, Tracee Ellis Ross, and actors George Lopez, Guillermo Diaz, and Bobby Cannavale.

Incidentally, this is not to overshadow other officially endorsed hashtags like Obama’s WH promotion of #WearOrange. That one is for gun control. In my mind, a “wear orange” hashtag should support an indictment of Hillary. But for gun control or gun violence, they pick wearing orange as the designated color.

Then Hillary, on ABC, could not clearly say there is a second amendment. She said “IF there is one” it needs to be regulated. Gee, I wonder if “regulation” could be used on immigration, something clearly in need of legislative regulation, enforcement?

O’s slow drip lies bad for what ails you

Obama’s favorite whipping-post enemy is the NRA and its lobby power. And Planned Parenthood’s #1-rated political ally in Washington is Barrack Obama.

So it’s a geological thing that 2nd amendment. You know that’s what I like about the entire first amendment, it’s so regional. No use wasting it where it isn’t needed necessary. Obama told the old story about Michelle in Iowa(’07) saying if she lived in a farmhouse there, a good distance from the sheriffs’ office, she would want to own a shotgun or rifle. I didn’t know the first amendment was limited to location, too. “Location location!”

The town hall gun-control show was on.

What the gun dealers should have told Obama was:

“Mr President, only one of us in this room has trafficked and lost over 2,000 guns that were then used in murders in both Mexico and the US. And it wasn’t me. Yet no one was held accountable. In fact, we the people could not even get the information about it. Actually your AG was held in contempt and that still didn’t resolve it. And was anyone prosecuted in that case? So tell me about loose guns and loopholes.”

Rather than calling it gun reform, can’t Obama call it 2nd amendment reform. And that 1st amendment so needs an overhaul, big time — I mean it is out of control.

In the last few days Obama called the NRA liars. He branded them about the most powerful lobby in Washington that breeds fear in people. But Planned Parenthood is probably the most powerful player in Washington, certainly on the Left, fear mongering in every election. No need to restrain PP from the Capitol, White House, or Obama’s office.

Now you install a litmus test that you won’t support any candidate who doesn’t support the gun control agenda. The NRA lies…. how about the lies last year from Planned Parenthood, defending even criminal acts marketing human tissue of babies. Yet investigate and prosecute it? Your administration did call to investigate and prosecute the videographers. But Planned Parenthood is not only a mega-lobbyist, it is subsidized by Washington to the tune of 450+ millions every year — with 41% of its revenue from government.

Which one has a real death agenda? Welcome inside Obama’s slow-cooker of lies.

Obama went on to mock any idea of anti-gun agenda or confiscation as a “conspiracy” theory. He said it sure is a conspiracy [theory]. Then he explains his own conspiracy theory how we use gun grabbing and anti-gun rhetoric, incorporated by Republicans and NRA, to stir up distrust for him on guns. Sounds like vast-right-wing conspiracy. But he laughs at the idea of the government working and scheming against people’s rights, as a “conspiracy.” So it is not a conspiracy that he abused his power already. It’s not a conspiracy when he demands a litmus test for Democrats, last I remember he is the head of the Democrat Party. He claims his side’s positions are consistently mischaracterized by the NRA. (Victim point) While he mischaracterizes reforming the 2nd amendment.

Referring to teenagers and suicides, he said “imagine if you have access to firearms what bad decisions you might make.” So access to firearms causes suicide?

There he goes, the man who mocks conspiracies about himself says “NRA is holding Congress hostage.” The man who holds America hostage to his pen and the DOJ.

Here was a typical liberal reply on that thread to a person over gun rights.

Okay, so now we have, regional, geographic rights, and finally an outdated Constitution. Obama reminded us he respects the 2nd amendment — more at farmhouses. He is not making a stink on sanctuary cities, like San Fran where a previously deported, convicted illegal alien shoots a woman on the pier. But carve up the 2nd amendment like a turkey. Nor is he fired up “mad” over Islamic terrorism. Obama paints his own conspiracy.

Obama is Sincerely Wrong

We were bombarded by images of Obama and his tears as he said every time I think of those kids in Newtown “it makes me mad.” Then he turns toward the camera to show him wiping his tears. Whatever you thought of his performance, he made it obvious so we couldn’t miss it. (I wondered how much practice it involved)

But such is the news cycle, it took on a life of it’s own. Surely that one will be enshrined in his library one day. Just in case people say he was emotionless or cold, they can have that starring people in the face.

What happened though in the coverage was a consensus formed quickly. Most people came along to say “well, he may have been sincere.” Of course libtards would say he was very sincere and moved.

That started me thinking. Is that the only point, whether he was sincere or not? So he may have been but he was sincerely wrong, too, if so. It’s as if we are supposed to judge his plans and ideas on whether he was sincere — or sincerely crying. Remember they made fun of Boehner for getting emotional. He just can’t control himself, he’s a wreck. But this was Obama so they were righteous tears. (can’t have too many of those Obama tears) And we are supposed to pay attention to those like punctuation marks.

His ideas on gun control are wrong, his motives for doing them are wrong(at least very highly suspect), his use of power is wrong, and his rationale was wrong. But they all want to focus on whether he was “sincere” or not. Sure he believes in his cause and reasons. But whether he is “sincere” or not about them does not change what they are. So the majority of people in media missed that point. Since when do we want someone creating law out of their emotions?

But that is what libs want (and Jeb Bush too). Make amnesty plans on emotions, do Obamacare on emotions. Then say, well no one can deny he was sincere. So no one can deny you were wrong because they cannot deny your emotions. I can’t help thinking that’s just how the WH planned it. We’re supposed to control our borders based on emotions. We’re supposed to run the economy on emotions, and taxes on tears. Policy, education, defense, environment, resources, justice, and even elections on emotions. But hey, they are “sincere” that’s all that matters.

Step right up – rewrites R us

Always be suspicious when a Democrat or progressive tells you that “most Americans want” this or that. I would say run but we can’t afford to and cede that soundbite to them. It is never true when they declare to speak for most people. If most people really knew exactly what these social salesmen were all about then most people would not have anything to do with it all. But Dems have this perception illusion going on.

The latest of these tactics is playing out in the age-old push for gun control. They are always going to be looking to take guns from law abiding people and nothing is going to stop them. Not even the will of the people when it speaks loudly and clearly. It didn’t stop them on Obamacare or a myriad of other things. But when a majority of people disagree with Democrats, it doesn’t matter anyway, even when you point it out. Then, like Obama tells us, people are too stupid or don’t understand.

The Dems’ conversation always starts with “what most Americans want’. That’s the first clue you’re about to be scammed. If you walked down the street and people screamed to you that most people are buying a certain item, would you go buy it? No, but somehow we are supposed to buy their schemes that way. (they are not plans) The only problem is when the people don’t go along with their plans – when they don’t want what Dems are selling. Then what Americans want is irrelevant.

What Americans want doesn’t matter when Americans overwhelmingly don’t want Syrian refugees. Most Americans want accountability in government, especially from the administration, but let’s scratch that off their list. Most Americans wanted accountability on Benghazi but that didn’t matter. Americans by far really want something done about our VA system and people to be held accountable, but that is not at the top of the to-do list for the administration. Most Americans do not want a sniveling, weak-kneed Obama traveling around the world throwing America under the bus, apologizing apparently on their behalf. No, they resent that but it still doesn’t stop Obama from delivering it.

Now they tell us most Americans want gun control. They even say that NRA members want to close this or that “loophole”. Two things are on the rise: gun ownership and purchases; and membership in the NRA. Do we think that both of these are because people want tighter gun control? But that’s what they’d have us believe. Any time Democrats really want something, you can count on them saying it is what “most Americans want.”

In fact Obama has taken a string of unilateral actions because people do not want them. So he does it anyway. Amnesty was very unpopular. Yet Obama comes out and tells us about what most Americans want as if he were reading our subconscious. And you can count on their favorite key word being used, loopholes. I have said before that the second amendment is not a loophole, but that is what Leftists would have you believe.

CBS reports:

After months of legal review, the White House is expected to unveil executive measures aimed at reducing gun violence, as soon as early next week, according to those briefed on the executive branch’s plans.

In early October, shortly after the mass shooting at an Oregon community college, President Obama assigned White House and Department of Justice lawyers to comb the law in search of any unused administrative authority available to him.

What Obama didn’t or couldn’t get for Christmas, he is now looking to indulge himself with by executive actions. President-Selfie has an appetite for gun control and he doesn’t care what is on the House menu. So he will gorge himself on drunken executive power by writing executive orders. He plans a meeting with Loretta Lynch on Monday to pave the way for his smorgasbord feast.

If you think I may be over dramatizing Obama’s actions, then you only have to look at what he is really doing. First thing off Christmas va-K, in the new year, he goes right for gun control even before his final State of the Union Speech. That drops a big clue about what will be in the dictate which is typically a laundry list for executive power — and appetite thereof.

If it is one major accomplishment for Obama, when he leaves office to return from whatever spawned him, it will be to never have found the limits of the Presidential Constitutional authority. Apparently something he never believed existed. So he wanted to be sure to slay any myth to the contrary. The only limitation he accepted was the two-term one, but even to that said if he ran again he would win. He had a backhanded comment for that inconvenience.

People gave up writing his epitaph long ago because they could see reality unfolding. Here he is on the verge of re-writing the second amendment. His record of civil war byproducts wherever he goes, in tow. He’ll avail himself of the power to change Constitutional rights.

Dr. Evil will speak on terrorism, security

So Dr. Evil, Obama will make a speech Sunday in prime time to address the nation’s terrorism concerns. Days after San Bernardino’s terrorism, the FBI finally says it is investigating it as an “act of terrorism”. Obama, who inspires confidence in less than a third of the country, now feels compelled to make a national speech to reassure people he is taking terrorism and security seriously. Talk talk talk, which is all he ever does.

And what he actually says denyies the Islamic connection to the terrorism and denies the problem we know it is. So his denial has played an active part in supporting the greatest enemy of America right now, Islamic radicalized fascists.

The real problem we didn’t know at the time was if San Bernardino was part of a wider terrorism plot yet unfolding, or an individual cell acting on it’s own. We were hardly reassured by the way they handled it from the beginning. If it was a real time plot unfolding we were kept in the dark and police collecting the bodies afterward was treating the symptoms not the disease. If they were actively preventing an ongoing real-time threat, they didn’t inspire confidence that they were up to the challenge or investigation. Just compared to France there is a big difference.

All that now behind us, after coming to terms with calling it terrorism, Obama will now seek to calm the fears of people that he is taking action, while continuing the denial of Islamic connections to the terrorism. He seems the only person in the world who is not willing to make that connection. Even Muslim countries do not deny the association.

Loretta Lynch has already said her biggest concern is blowback or Islamic hatred — Isamophopbia. Only in Obama’s world are these events downplayed as unrelated to a larger terrorism picture. Terrorists seek to maximize their physical impact while Obama seeks to minimize their (global) impact. That does no one any favors. When he downplays the threat it posses, he does the enemies work for them. Then they seek greater impact, a game no one should want to play. No one but Obama. So rather than confronting reality, he considers gun control the bomb. Likely more of the same in Dr. Evil’s speech.

Made for production Dem Debate

Not that hypocrisy ever matters to Democrats or the media liberals.

The story going into the 1st Democrat debate was how Democrats should not attack each other. The whole objective of the two Republican debates was to have them attacking each other.(cannibalizing is a better word) They suggested because Sanders is so low compared to Hillary, that she should let it go even if Bernie attacks her. They asked why elevate him by dignifying it with a response?

On Republicans, they insisted that all the attacks should be responded to, or wave the white flag and forfeit. Now it’s why show any disharmony or disunity in the Democrat Party ranks? Don’t need to do that, even if they are running against each other for control of the Marxist Party.

On the other hand, if they want to talk about rough and tumble Party infighting, point to Republicans. That was surely the script going in.

The debate went according to plan, featuring Hillary in the lead role that will win her an academy award. She’s as gifted at denial as the present Oval Office Occupant. Everyone else was a supporting role. Who cares who they were? Jim Webb didn’t stand a chance with a socialist audience. They made sure not to applaud any of his answers except for a handful that appreciated his pro-gun message. Note, there are a few stragglers left. In their after coverage, they talked about odd moments and pointed to Jim Webb’s answer to who was his biggest enemy? Webb said it would be the enemy soldier who threw the grenade that wounded him. But CNN and their pundits thought that a strangely odd answer.

Debate is over, gun control is the answer. Hillary chimed in she’d make the rich people pay. What emails, or server? Bernie came to Hill’s rescue saying “enough with the emails”. Case closed. Gateway Pundit reported the press room cheered at that line. He is “sick and tired” of hearing about her “emails”.

Later, everyone fawned all over Hillary for how well she had done. Someone who failed at every job she had in the last decade and a half, always claiming to take full responsibility, wink wink.

For people that are forward looking they spent most of the time in the rear view mirror, the last 20 years worth. Hillary said her chief enemies are the NRA and Republicans. Yea so much gainful news there, over the back-biting long nails of Republican infighting. (so the narrative goes) Only Black Lives Matter was declared honorary winner by Van Jones after the debate, for keeping them all on message. Hillary never answered the question.

At one point, I didn’t think it was a debate, I thought Hillary was giving a press conference. Post debate focus group focused on Hillary, surprise surprise. Hillary “absorbs new information”… good cover for lying and flip flopping like a pancake.

And Las Vegas the gambling capitol was the perfect backdrop for a Dem debate. It’s no longer an election, Dems are betting voters really are that stupid.

United Socialists of America have spoken. The debate is over, just as it is on Climate Change, global warming and gun control. (science and facts be damned) The two most hated things in America, according to that crowd, are flat earth deniers and the NRA. Rich people are a close second — unless you happen to be a socialist Democrat. Gun control, socialism, global warming… what’s not to like?

Unpopular Prez on Unpopular Issue

Obmaa travels to the Roseburg area to politicize the shooting for his gun control. He’s already pointed to examples of gun control like UK and Australia. Those are examples of banning and confiscation. Is that the control he has in mind? Is that the message he wants to send? It is the message the Lefitist Democrats want to hear — full on gun control.

Is there anything resembling compassion in Obama’s agenda? No. Does he really care about the needs of the people, or their security and defense? Hardly. He totally missed his opportunity to lecture or politicize the one place that embraces all gun control, Chicago.

NY Times reports ahead of Obama’s scheduled Roseburg visit.

NYT: “Common Response After Killings in Oregon: ‘I Want to Have a Gun’

Mr. Obama plans to visit Roseburg on Friday to meet the grieving families of yet another gun rampage, but many people here are bristling at his renewed call for stricter gun laws. In some ways, the rampage at the college by a 26-year-old student, Christopher Harper-Mercer, has actually tightened the embrace of guns in a rural town where shots at rifle ranges echo off the hills and hunters shoot deer and elk through the fall.

Some families touched by the violence and students who fled gunfire said they now feared that the kind of bloodshed seen inside Classroom 15 of Snyder Hall at Umpqua Community College could happen anywhere. Some said they were planning to buy guns. Others said they would seek concealed-weapons permits. Others, echoing gun advocates’ calls for more weapons on campus, said the college should allow its security guards to carry guns. A few said they thought that stricter gun control laws could have averted the massacre.

“That’s why we have guns: We don’t have the government dictating when to get on our knees,” said Ms. Kellim, 86.

Continue reading the main story:  http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/08/us/oregon-roseburg-shooting-umpqua-community-college.html

The majority consensus in Roseburg seems to be Obama should butt out and definitely not politicize the issue. (he’ll do neither) But at the very beginning, before details were known, Obama defiantly said he would politicize the issue that it called for it. He predicted some would accuse him of politicizing the shootings.

“Well, this is something we should politicize,” Obama said. “It is relevant to our common life together, to the body politic.”

Relevant to his body politic, more like. He added:

“I hope and pray that I don’t have to come out again during my tenure as president to offer my condolences to families in these circumstances.”

No, he did not “have to come out again” and was not asked to. However, he does not come out at the many shootings in Chicago, or on Kate’s murder in San Francisco. In fact he could not be coerced to come out then, when asked. He refused to even acknowledge it or the egregious circumstances leading to her murder. And he does not shepherd the current Kate’s law making its way through Congress. (something he could do) So no one said he had to offer anything, including condolences, to the families in Roseburg. It was all his idea, all part of his politicization of the event. (…fundraiser in Seattle)

The arrogant ‘Heartbroken’ bastid-in-chief is back in the Spite House

Oh, right, he never left…

Daily Mail reports:

‘It breaks my heart every time’: Obama reacts to shooting of Virginia TV reporter and cameraman as he says gun-related deaths ‘dwarf those that happen through terrorism’

President Obama has revealed he was heartbroken when he learned a TV news reporter and a cameraman were shot dead during a live broadcast in Virginia.

He also slammed the number of gun-related homicides in the United States, adding that it ‘dwarfs any deaths that happen through terrorism’.

Alison Parker, 24, and Adam Ward, 27, were gunned down by former employee of the CBS affiliate Vester Flanagan while filming an on-air, early morning segment.

The 41-year-old shot and wounded himself several hours later as police pursued him on a Virginia highway. He died later at the hospital, police said.

Speaking to ABC, Obama said: ‘It breaks my heart every time you read or hear about these kinds of incidents.’

Still waiting for word from Obama about the shooting death of a girl in Ferguson  doing her homework on her mothers bed. Not like they haven’t had days now to respond. But he took this one off the teletype to harp on gun control. Shameless.  There have been more car accidents than deaths of terrorism, too. So what is the point of that? There isn’t one.

The gun-runner in chief has problems with gun laws — or lack thereof?

Heartbroken in Waiting

Hillary also chimed in interrupting her server defense road tour.

‘So, yes, I feel just great heartache at what happened and I want to reiterate how important it is we not let yet another terrible instance go by without trying to do something more to prevent this incredible killing that is stalking our country.’

Democratic candidate for president Hillary Clinton also weighed in on the shooting, tweeting to her followers that she was ‘heartbroken and angry.’

‘We must act to stop gun violence, and we cannot wait any longer. Praying for the victims’ families in Virginia,’ the former secretary of state wrote.

More Daily Mail: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3211578/Two-Virginia-television-journalists-fatally-shot-air-attack.html

How long have we been waiting for the Truth about Benghazi to come out? Now she’s the impatient one, having got an ambassador and 3 American patriots killed in Libya, who operated a renegade server as Secretary of State. So she throws out the “war on women” nonsense and she can’t wait any longer. She should be indicted and banned from holding any public office. She won’t even say if she would approve the Keystone XL Pipeline. But she has a “war on the Second Amendment”.

Hillary, illegals to Trump to guns roadtour

Here’s Hillary’s comment to Trump

Hillary has just one word for Trump, “Basta…enough!” Coming from Hillary, that’s funny because that is exactly what we have been thinking about the Oval Office Heiress.

When we saw your actions on Benghazi and what you said. Enough comes immediately to mind.

When we saw you used a personal server for State Department business and email, we said enough.

When we saw your staged theatrics as Sec of State with Russia over a “reset button,” we said enough.

When we hear you talk about moving the country forward, we say “enough”

When we hear you say you followed all the rules and law at State, we say enough.

When we hear you testify to congress on Benghazi lecturing us: “what difference at this point does it make” we said that’s definitely enough.

When we look at your perpetual trickle-down scandals, we said that’s quite enough.

When most people in the country don’t trust you, we say enough. “Basta…

(another clip and @ 23 minutes)

“Failed, top-down policies that wrecked our country before,” Hillary told Arkansans.

“You know, Democrats are in the future business, but from the Republican candidates for president we see the opposite. They may have some fresh faces but they are the Party of the past”.

“We Democrats look at America and see limitless potential. We believe in a basic bargain, if you work hard and do your part, you should be able to get ahead and stay ahead. And we believe that the measure of our success should be how much incomes rise for hard working families, not just for CEO’s and money managers.”

Whoo-hoo! “Basta,” for sure. She doesn’t want to go to the past, well neither do we want to go back to the old Clinton years, especially after seeing BO revision 2.0

[At 23 minutes]”Yes, Donald Trump”… “but there is nothing funny about the hate he is spewing at immigrants and their families, and now the insults he’s directed at a genuine war hero, Senator John McCain.”

I seem to remember the queen of attacks going to Senate hearings claiming General Petraeus’s’ — whom Hill’s village comrades called “General Betrayus” — testimony “requires the willing suspension of disbelief.”

“Despite what I view as your rather extraordinary efforts in your testimony both yesterday and today, I think that the reports that you provide to us really require a willing suspension of disbelief.”… “I give you tremendous credit for presenting as positive …a view of a rather grim reality,” Sen Clinton told Gen. Petraeus in ’07 (5 yr before conducting her own Libyan adventure.)

She never condemned the viscous “General Betrayus” campaign or those mocking a hero. She’s shown contempt for our military, its leaders and efforts. But now she is concerned about comments toward John McCain, and criticism of his Senate record? What a condescending hypocrite. Talk about trying to “present a positive view on grim reality!”

The Basta Grandma in another speech blamed Trump’s remarks for the Charleston Shootings. Then railed about her other favorite theme, guns — or the real problem.

“We have to have a candid national conversation about race, and about discrimination, prejudice, hatred. The people who do this kind of dastardly, horrible act are a very small percentage. But unfortunately public discourse is sometimes hotter and more negative than it should be, which can, in my opinion, trigger people who are less than stable to do something like this.

Clinton continued, “People need to stand up against it. We should not accept it. I think we have to speak out against it. Like, for example, a recent entry into the Republican presidential campaign said some very inflammatory things about Mexicans. Everybody should stand up and say that’s not acceptable. You know you don’t talk like that on talk radio. You don’t talk like that on the kind of political campaigns. I think he is emblematic. So I want people to understand, it’s not just him, it’s about everybody. The second thing is guns. Let’s just cut to the chase – it’s guns.”

“You gotta build it from the bottom up and top down” she claimed. “So maybe on a local and State level we have to keep building towards a more sensible, balanced kind of policy.”

Hillary can’t even pay lip service to the policies enabling a felon deported 5 times and released to murder Kate Steinle. Policies she’d be familiar with as Secretary of State.

Isn’t it disturbing how she talks about guns as another program to hoist on us? Even with her current record of non-stop scandal, she bluntly talks about what she’ll do to the people

NBC takes a licking and keeps on clicking

What’s the bigger story: what happened in Charleston, SC or what is going on in NBC?

There can be no question which is more important, the shooting. However, what NBC is doing is a pretty big story. Meet the Press turned into Meet the Bias, even for liberals.

First, we have the reintroduction of Brian Williams into the MSNBC cable brand this week. But what Chuck Todd is doing doesn’t go under the radar either. We all know NBC is one of the media sycophants at Obama’s beckon call. So when Obama has an agenda to push — most of the time — they are atop his advocacy list to push his message… aka policy.

In the days after the shooting, Obama made very clear his desire to re-litigate the gun issue. Even though he said Congress was not willing, he repeatedly said he would not let it go. But we knew that. So when Obama said that the gun control issue needs help to becoming more urgently relevant, enter NBC. We can do that says Todd, no problem.

After his statement he traveled to Santa Monica, Ca to reiterate his passion for gun control saying “I need you to mobilize and organize a constituency.”

So Meet the Press unwinds a prepackaged special on guns from a prison inmate’s perspective. They all happened to be black. But plug it in because of the subject matter on guns. It should fill the void and be political fodder, right? It was a backfire as critics, mostly libs, attacked them for having interviewed only black inmates. Well, strike two. Race over gun control? They thought that throwing a generic disclosure on it to ‘pay no attention to the race factor’ at the beginning would suffice. It didn’t. Right, people looked right at the obvious color of the inmates and made it the issue, rather than guns. That’s what race-hustlers usually do too. Key in on race. So their disclosure didn’t work.

Also amusing is that MSNBC is the network of “prison TV,” as I call it, on weekends. Yet they wonder why their programing doesn’t attract enough viewers? So it was not much of a stretch for Prison TV LLC, to interview inmates on any subject.

Immediately after airing, Chuck had to go on defense of the piece saying “But the last thing we wanted was to cloud the discussion of the topic.” That much is true. They didn’t want to cloud the issue of gun control. They wanted to be straight-up, full-fledged advocates. (lobbyists if you will) And that would make Obama happy. Todd said, “I hope folks view the gun video as a part of the conversation we should all be having and not the totality of it.” Chuck explained it was “too important to put off for another week.”

Todd had said of the interviews:

“The circumstances you are about to see are very different from the racist violence in Charleston. In this case, in the [video] inmates are African-American that you’re going to hear from. But their lessons remain important.”

“And we simply ask you to look at this as a color-blind issue that’s about just simply gun violence.”

What rolled out was mass outrage at the racial bias of the piece — specifically at Chuck Todd — which superseded the gun control issue.

The result was that Tod and NBC ignited a brushfire. But they brought in the accelerant, matches, and the fuel. Plus for days they were dragging the Confederate flag into it on MSNBC. Maybe not the fire they were expecting with the blow-back.

So then it isn’t hard to believe that they also were not content with the unfolding story line in the shooting aftermath enough to try to stir up the public in Charleston. Not that the people didn’t already experience enough, NBC descended like a pack of wolves when they saw the situation was far too peaceful than it should be. No, the people need to be impassioned and fired up if it is to provoke any dialogue or political action. Obama himself said as much. (You don’t think NBC acts all by itself)

Obama in his early statement declared we have the “power to do something about it… but it’d be wrong for us not to acknowledge it.”

Considering the shooter’s racial motives indeed makes some strange bedfellows, MSNBC seems to subscribe to the same notion. They didn’t understand how people weren’t fired up for action, and marching over the shootings. So the slime-sucking carnival barkers of MSNBC couldn’t stand it. They want a story to cover. Something they can sink their teeth into and extort for all its political worth. One that plays into Obama’s agenda, beyond just the gun control one. So far they’re coming up empty. The Fuhrer will not be happy.

On Thursday, Obama wasted no time commenting on the Charleston shootings and his gun control agenda, admitting that once again he “doesn’t have all the facts”. But don’t let that stop him, it never has before.

“We don’t have all the facts, but we do know that, once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun,”

In California, Obama unleashed more specific and fiery rhetoric. At a fundraiser in Santa Monica, he told them “I need you to mobilize:

“If you’re dissatisfied that every few months we have a mass shooting in this country, killing innocent people, then I need you to mobilize and organize a constituency that says this is not normal and we are going to change it, and put pressure to elect people who insist on that change,” Obama said.

“We need a change in attitude. We have to move public opinion,” Obama said. “Ultimately Congress will follow the people,” he declared. Obama boldly stated:

“I refuse to act as if this is the new normal or to pretend that it’s simply sufficient to grieve and that any mention of us doing something to stop it is somehow politicizing the problem.

“We have to shift how we think about this issue and we have the capacity to change, but we have to build a sense of urgency about it.”

He added on his other favorite topic: “We don’t have to look far to see that racism and bigotry, hate and intolerance, are still all too alive in our world.” Obama pushes his dual-track agenda on lecturing, “We have to feel a sense of urgency.”

Why Does The NRA Still Support NICS?

Thursday, May 21, 2015

by Mississippi Rebel

The NRA recently re-stated its longstanding support for the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), a program that was originally mandated by the Brady Bill in 1993.

In a statement directed at the North Carolina Sherriff Association last week, the NRA said:

“[North Carolina’s] antiquated and inefficient system has been in place for nearly a century and was enacted long before the age of computers and computerized records. Unfortunately, the [North Carolina Sherriff’s Association] has determined it would like to continue to use discretion to deny permits to purchase handguns, rather than simply use the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) utilized by the majority of other states.”

The NRA has publicly supported NICS for years, arguing it should be “improved” and  “limited” rather than completely eradicated.

The reasons for this are almost certainly political. As The Truth About Guns pointed out recently, the NRA would take a serious hit with lawmakers and the public if it came out against any and all criminal background checks.

But this “compromise” approach gives the enemy a permanent foundation to expand gun control.

Just yesterday, New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney introduced a bill that would require anyone buying or selling firearms to undergo a NICS background check, and further require that every gun transfer be reported to the United States Attorney General.

Maloney’s bill has no chance of passing, but it won’t be the last. For as long as NICS is around, the anti-gun crowd will keep using it as a foundation for laws that limit our rights.

By continuing to publicly support an unconstitutional system, the NRA is playing with fire.

Obama finds his voice on Christians

I must first give my due sympathies and prayers to the evil shootings in Charleston, SC . Then Obama comes out to make his statement on it after the AG had opined on it. Loretta Lynch said that the Civil Rights team was already on the ground in Charleston. It’s horrible evil that should not have happened.

Anyway, Obama for months has been faced with evil. All the atrocities committed by ISIS and terrorists. Christians being persecuted, a genocide unfolding in the Middle East, and an ancient Caliphate resurfacing. In all these current happenings on his watch he could not even deliver lip-service toward Christian victims — even after being reminded.

He’ll describe any other aspects about them but, even when Christians were marched out to a choreographed beheading, he referred to Christianity as benignly as he could. Charles Krauthammer wrote of Obama during these evil persecutions, “Obama’s reaction to, shall we say, turmoil abroad has been one of alarming lassitude and passivity.”

The Islamists of the Caliphate released their beheading video under the title: “A Message Signed with Blood to the Nations of the Cross”. Obama, in a carefully crafted statement, referred to victims this way:

The United States condemns the despicable and cowardly murder of twenty-one Egyptian citizens in Libya by ISIL-affiliated terrorists. – More

Now anyone would have to be brain dead to intentionally not mention their Christian Faith, particularly as they testified with their final words. However, not to disappoint his astonishing record in hypocrisy and double standards, Obama finds his voice for Christian victimhood — sort of — in the evil execution of 9 Christians in Charleston this week. Washington Post has the video and transcript here.

Michelle and I know several members of Emanuel AME Church. We knew their pastor, Reverend Clementa Pinckney, who, along with eight others, gathered in prayer and fellow ship and was murdered last night, and to say our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families and their community doesn’t say enough to convey the heartache and the sadness and the anger that we feel.

Any death of this sort is a tragedy. Any shooting involving multiple victims is a tragedy. There is something particularly heartbreaking about a death happening in a place in which we seek solace and we seek peace, in a place of worship.

Mother Emanuel is, in fact, more than a church. This is a place of worship that was founded by African Americans seeking liberty. This is a church that was burned to the ground because its worshipers worked to end slavery.

When there were laws banning all-black church gatherings, they conducted church services in secret. When there was a nonviolent movement to bring our country in closer line with our highest ideals, some of our brightest leaders spoke and led marches from this church’s steps.

This is a sacred place in the history of Charleston and in the history of America.

The FBI is now on the scene with local police, and more of the bureau’s best are on their way to join them. The attorney general has announced plans for the FBI to open a hate crime investigation. We understand that the suspect is in custody, and I’ll let the best of law enforcement do its work to make sure that justice is served.

Until the investigation is complete, I’m necessarily constrained in terms of talking about the details of the case. But I don’t need constrained about the emotions that tragedies like this raise.

He makes sure to give due reference to the history and their faith. But look at the backdrop, or foreground as it were.

He referred the Church as a sacred place, particularly due to the church’s history in anti-slavery and its black heritage. That was the perspective he emphasized. That it happened to be a Christian one was secondary. Still he did find his voice for slain Christians.

He found that note, be it via black cultural heritage.

When you contrast that with Coptic Christians in the Middle East, whose heritage goes back over a thousand years, he could not even give lip service to their plight of persecution. It proved that once again, the only concern of Obama is politics, and next to that the cultural bent he chooses to see. He’ll mention Muslim hatred. Then he goes to a prayer breakfast to remind Christians of crusades and “terrible deeds”

So now he finds a way to address Christian murders. Now he is sympathetic to Christians?

Then he goes on to indulge himself in his ‘trigger warning’ message:

I’ve had to make statements like this too many times. Communities like this have had to endure tragedies like this too many times.

We don’t have all the facts, but we do know that once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hand on a gun.

Now is the time for mourning and for healing. But let’s be clear. At some point, we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries. It doesn’t happen in other places with this kind of frequency.

And it is in our power to do something about it.

So there we have it. He has again reduced a national evil event to a political debate on gun control. He even had to besmirch his recognition of Christian executions to an ideological tourniquet, when the hemorrhaging is coming from the Oval Office Ideologue in Chief. He is only interested in the black historical aspect of the event, and how it can be used to serve his ideological ends. Sure he gave due mention to their Christian faith, to black history, to anti-slavery, and then has wed it to his ideological battle.

The words “We shall overcome” have been co-opted by Obama’s political war.

Yet the real message in this evil is that, if you believe the reports of his motives, the shooter acting in racist hatred had wanted to ignite a race war. And now with the arraignment process, where victims families displayed the greatest character I’ve seen, Obama is the one igniting a war.

He and the Al Sharptons push a perpetual battle in their rhetoric. But I have not seen a hint of that by people in Charleston, or among victims. As if it were not even a possibility. That is American exceptionalism at its finest. Meanwhile, Obama digs into his bag of race-baiting right from the start.

Even as bad as playing the race card is the rush to a gun control.Unbelievably, it plays right into what the shooter had designed. Whether a war over race or war on guns, the incident was meant to inflame larger society. The only ones fanning those flames are the political ideologues and demagogues. Let us rise above race-baiting.

Hillary lays out anti-gun platform

Hillary Clinton: U.S. needs to ‘rein in’ proliferation of guns

Posted by
CNN’s Dan Merica | 5/6/2014

National Harbor, Maryland (CNN) – Hillary Clinton told an audience of mental health professionals on Tuesday that the United States needs to rein in its gun culture or risk a world where insignificant disagreements could lead to shootings.

Asked about the mental health aspects of guns, Clinton said “I think we’ve got to rein in what has become a almost article faith that anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime. I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people.”

“We really have got to get our arms around it because at the rate we are going, we are going to have so many people with guns everywhere fully licensed, fully validated,” Clinton said, painting a picture of a country where small annoyances could lead to shootings.

Clinton, whose comments came during the question and answer portion at the end of her appearance, said because “we are living at a time when there is so much external stimulation and some much internal confusion in certain people,” it would be a bad idea to let people “go to bars with guns, let them go to schools with guns, let them go to church with guns.”

Referencing a shooting earlier this year where a 71-year old retired police officer shot a 43-year old man texting in a movie theater, Clinton said people thinking they “have the right to defend themselves against the gum chewer and the cell phone user by shooting the person” is reminiscent of countries she visited “with no rule of law and self control.”

But Clinton also gave an olive branch to gun owners, adding “I think you can say that and still support the right of people to own guns.” […/]

The small annoyances she referred to were chewing gum or talking on a cell phone while at the theater. Out comes the straw men. She contends these incidents will happen on a wide scale. But what does happen on a hourly scale are drive-by’s and shootings in Chicago, a gun free zone. That never enters into her straw man arguments.

So somehow gun ownership translates to less self control and rule of law, to Hilary. But she doesn’t offer to explain how that works. With her premise, evidently less guns equals more self control and greater rule of law. Again, the murder rate in Chicago could disprove that.

Beck ticks off some listeners

But it wouldn’t be the first time for the firebrand.

Former Sheriff Mack on Bundy Ranch
Standoff: Obama Feds Willing to ‘Shoot at Unarmed Citizens’

April 23, 2014 By Matthew Burke | TPNN

Former Arizona Sheriff Richard Mack responded sharply (WATCH VIDEO BELOW) and critically to Glenn Beck’s stance on the Bundy Ranch Standoff in Nevada.

Sheriff Mack says that that rancher Cliven Bundy is “a good man” who he’s known for a long time and “just wants to be left alone.” Mack says this is something that the federal government doesn’t understand and never will.

Sheriff Mack points out that the Bundy Ranch has been located at Bunkersville, Nevada since 1877, and that the federal government has driven out of business 53 different ranchers in the area.

“The government is destroying the ranching and farming industry in America. What do you think that’s going to do to our food supply?” asks Sheriff Mack. “What do you think that does to liberty?” Mack asks while boldly proclaiming that “the greatest enemy to our country is our own federal government.”

Cliven Bundy is the last rancher left in Clark County, Nevada and the federal government lays claim to over 80% of the state’s land.

Sheriff Mack blasted Glenn Beck for his comments made after the standoff, comments that have angered many of Beck’s loyal followers. Beck had said he disagrees with some of the Bundy Ranch protesters being armed in response to the Obama BLM’s armed invasion of the ranch. Mack says that Beck should “be ashamed” of himself for his comments and should “be out here marching” with the protesters:

More at Tea Party News Network

I notice many downplaying the disagreement but I think Beck managed to step square in the middle of the cow pie. It will be interesting to see how he recovers.

Beck was making a mountain out of a mole hill. Then railed against it as if it were reality. In fact, Beck’s own brand of “freedom of speech” has gotten light-years in front of him before, like when  he promised big “earth- shattering news” that would change everything, then never mentioned it after. Now he wants to jump in as the cop on the beat. Glenn, you’re “planting your flag” but on someone else’s backyard .

‘I’m Planting My Flag’: Glenn Beck Doubles Down on His Message to Those Calling for Violence

Apr. 15, 2014 2:41pm

Glenn Beck has a message for anyone who is “crying for revolution, insurrection … and a call to arms”: He wants nothing to do with you.

“This morning I got up and I saw some more news reports, and more people in America that are standing up now and crying for revolution, insurrection, arming yourself, and a call to arms,” Beck said on his radio program Tuesday. “I will tell you I believe in the Second Amendment, and I will defend myself. I believe in the rights that we have. But I will tell you more than I believe in my rights, I believe in the responsibilities that we have to God. And God does not call anyone to anger. God does not call anyone to vengeance ever, ever, ever.”

Beck clearly got way ahead of himself on this and then expected everyone to follow him.
This is the problem with these bigger than life personalities, they need to be held to account.

Obama tries to revive his gun control agenda.

“There is nothing inevitable about it — it comes about because of decisions we make or fail to make,” Obama said, referring to the shootings and killings. Just as he was attempting to consul victims families over the Navy Yard shooting.

“Our tears are not enough,” Obama told thousands gathered to mourn at the Marine Barracks. “Our words and our prayers are not enough. If we really want to honor these 12 men and women, if we really want to be a country where we can go to work and go to school and walk our streets free from senseless violence without so many lives being stolen by a bullet from a gun, then we’re going to have to change.”

But all that is lost on Obama in Chicago gangs, guns, shootings and senseless killing. Chicago is now the murder capitol of America And he takes absolutely no stand on that. Nor does he demagogue the city where it’s happening.

Obama said when such senseless deaths strike in America, “it ought to be a shock to all of us, it ought to obsess us. It ought to lead to some sort of transformation.” But, Obama said, “nothing happens. Alongside the anguish of these American families, alongside the accumulated outrage so many of us feel, sometimes I fear there is a creeping resignation that these tragedies are just somehow the way it is, that this is somehow the new normal. We cannot accept this. As Americans bound in grief and love, we must insist here today there is nothing normal about innocent men and women being gunned down where they work.”

So which senseless deaths is he talking about? Most of America is shocked and outraged at what’s happening in Chicago. What transformation has it led to? That doesn’t seem to be on his radar. And not only does nothing happen there, but the numbers set records.

“sometimes I fear there is a creeping resignation that these tragedies are just somehow the way it is, that this is somehow the new normal.”

Isn’t that his de facto perspective on Chicago? It must be. Not like he hasn’t heard about it. Isn’t this the new norm? Where even kids cannot go safely to school or come home, or people are not safe to go to work and walk the streets in Chicago. Where kids playing on the playground get shot. But he ignores that. So ask Obama what decisions were made that caused all the shooting, killing in Chicago?

PS: America did not forget his administration’s gun running campaign leading to deaths too numerous to count, spreading across the border. Yet he lectures!

Gun control not going to the dogs

Obama, in view of getting a new dog, takes position on breed-specific legislation.

“Obama’s statement doesn’t speak to federal legislative efforts. But, the White House does adopt the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s community-based ideas for better methods of improving public safety: [photo]

We don’t support breed-specific legislation — research shows that bans on certain types of dogs are largely ineffective and often a waste of public resources…As an alternative to breed-specific policies, the CDC recommends a community-based approach to prevent dog bites. And ultimately, we think that’s a much more promising way to build stronger communities of pets and pet owners.”

Try to apply that logic to gun control legislation for “community-based ideas for better methods of improving public safety”. The resources could be better spent with community-based safety approaches and education, rather than through ineffective, inefficient legislation. Banning worked so well.

Ah, no that wouldn’t enter his mind. But in this instance, he seems to see logic in that approach. Pit Bulls are safe from the long arm of federal control, but not your guns. Maybe Pit Bulls will be safe from the black market.

Bang! Editor fired after publishing gun-owner map

Released addresses of permit holders, then hired armed guard herself

WND

The Journal News of New York published an interactive map of permitted gun owners.

The editor of the New York newspaper that created a furor by publishing the names and addresses of gun-permit owners suddenly is out of a job.

According to the Rockland Times, a competitor to the Gannett-owned Rockland County Journal News, editor Caryn McBride is among the casualties of a recent purge at the Journal News.

The report said 17 journalists were among a total of 26 staff members at the Journal News who were let go.

It was the Journal News that in 2012 published the names and addresses of all gun owners in Westchester and Rockland counties under the headline “Where are the gun permits in your neighborhood?”

The Times said police reports showed McBride had called the Clarkstown Police Department to notify them of a flood of angry phone calls and letters the newspaper received after it published the map.

The Rockland editor said she felt threatened by the complaints, but local police didn’t believe there was a credible threat. McBride and other executives then decided to hire armed guards to protect their property, the Times reported, “causing an uproar due to the perceived hypocrisy of the avowed anti-gun editors hiring gun-toting men.”

Kids, don’t try that at home….they are professionals!

Wake up call for __________ (Rep, Senator, President….)

This is a “wake up call” for Congressman, Senator, President, assemblyman, et al.

Dear _________________________, [aka, blabbermouth extraordinaire]

I am contacting you because of the importance, between taking my kid to the doctor and trying to keep a roof over my head. What with working overtime to pay for the taxes that government at all levels is levying on us. And before searching for a new job because my present one is ending, I took the time to write your office because that is just how important it is. I do hope you appreciate it.

Please be advised, whatever you and your colleagues are doing is NOT working. I would have said “is wrong” but that implies a judgment and I know how you frown on that. And private citizens are not supposed to make those, especially about government and elected officials, or their duties.

But it is not working nor has it been for some time. It is just an illusion you and your cohorts labor under: that government is operating under rules and ethical conduct, according to some invisible principles – which no one can see a trace of – and that it delivers in kind.

However, wake up, it is not working! And it will not as long as you apply the same logic and misguided effort that you all have thus far.

Government is not to serve you, your friends, supporters and distinguished cronies. It is not a personal tool, so stop treating it like your sandbox.

Government of, by, and for the people has been replaced by “Government”– of government, for government, by government And the two concepts have nothing in common. That in mind, it is time to restore the foundation on which this leviathan now rests

It is possible that this will be the last time you hear from an American concerned for the future of this country. There seem to be fewer and fewer of them every year, judging by the number of voters who participate in our “process” and their results.

So be advised, you have been warned. You may ignore the will of the people now, but you will not even hear an echo of those concerned voices in the future. You and your comrades are killing off that voice. Many of them still shell-shocked about our current condition. Instead, all you will likely receive are thousands of “Dear Santa” letters whenever people want something, and you will have to comply with them. So now it is time for you to decide. While I go back to my immediate responsibilities, it would be nice if you took your oath and responsibilities seriously enough to act on them as well.

Sincerely,
Your stubborn constituent

Kerry, case of tyranny and treason

Kerry Says US Will Sign UN Arms Treaty, Ignores Congressional Opposition

Monday, 03 Jun 2013  – Newsmax

By Lisa Barron

Secretary of State John Kerry says that the U.S. will sign a controversial United Nations treaty on arms control in spite of bipartisan opposition from lawmakers.

Kerry released a written statement on Monday saying the U.S. “welcomes” the next phase for the treaty, which the U.N. General Assembly approved on April 2 but which gun rights advocates on Capitol Hill fear could lead to new gun control measures domestically, reports Fox News.

We look forward to signing it as soon as the process of conforming the official translations is completed satisfactorily,” Kerry said, adding that the treaty is “an important contribution to efforts to stem the illicit trade in conventional weapons, which fuels conflict, empowers violent extremists, and contributes to violations of human rights.”

The treaty would reportedly require countries that ratify it to establish national guidelines to govern the transfer of conventional arms and components and to regulate arms brokers.

Supporters of gun rights have warned that it could be used as the basis for more gun control measures in the U.S.

Last week, 130 members of Congress signed a letter to President Barack Obama and Kerry calling on them to reject the measure.

We strongly encourage your administration to recognize its textual, inherent and procedural flaws, to uphold our country’s constitutional protections of civilian firearms owners, and to defend the sovereignty of the United States, and thus to decide not to sign this treaty,” they wrote.

H/T to Dave for the article

Just ignore the US Constitution and the 2nd Amendment. It still needs a two-thirds majority in the Senate to ratify it. But Kerry pays no attention to that,  he now speaks for the supreme King so he is very confident. Is he looking into Benghazigate and the arms running under the table? You can doubt that. Maybe that wind surfing went to his head.
