PSA on Immigration

This is a friendly Public Service Announcement

Okay, sports fans: this is the USA and our immigration policy should not be designed, written and run by immigrants. And no amount of “this is not who we are” is going to change that.

Libs DACA Pipe Dream

Let me deconstruct the left’s DACA paradigm of the issue and paraphrase it. This was written before yesterday’s White House meeting over it.

So by virtue of their illegal entry and status here, for as long as they’ve been here, we must do something more for DACA people. More than we’ve already done and given them.

We need to make them legal citizens and change their status. After that, give them the right to decide who the next immigrants should be. The chain goes on ad nauseam.

But the left wants to hold all of America hostage to this demand by threatening to shut down our government if we don’t cave in. And it must be the number one priority.

Then DACA people can use their newfound status to choose who our next immigrants will be. They come illegally and get to decide who else comes to the country. 800,000 easily turns to 9 million or more. Then they pass the baton like a relay race.

In the next stage, those new imported immigrants would get to decide who comes to the country next. Why did America turn the immigration system over to the immigrants?

I’m offended that they hold our entire government hostage to one sub-identity group. And it is not critical to the rest of government. It’s insulting. Talk about a dream.

Now Diane Feinstein and Steny Hoyer tried their damnedest to make an offer to just do DACA with no strings, border security, or wall… with only a promise they will take up the other things later.(if ever) Same old Democrats: just give us what we want now and we’ll talk after. The same thing they did to Reagan. And this was no coincidence.

Franklin Graham lives in reality USA

Franklin Graham — (Facebook)

“Politicians in Washington seem to be totally disconnected with reality.”

For some time I have been saying that Muslim immigration into the United States should be stopped until we can properly vet them or until the war with Islam is over. Donald J. Trump has been criticized by some for saying something similar. The new Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said yesterday that he disagrees—saying that “such views are not what this party stands for and more importantly it’s not what this country stands for.” Politicians in Washington seem to be totally disconnected with reality.

Research shows that there are 2.75 million Muslims living in the U.S. According to a poll commissioned by the Center for Security Policy, 51% of Muslims living in America believe “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to sharia” (Islamic law) instead of the U.S. Constitution. 29% agree that violence against those who insult Mohammad is acceptable, and 25% agree that violence against America can be justified as part of global jihad. Among males under the age of 45, that number rises to 36%. And 29% of males under 45 believe that violence against America is justified in order to make Sharia the law of the land. This is frightening.

Our politicians are not listening to the truth—my prayer is that God will open their eyes. This affects our security and the future of our nation. If you agree, email your Congressman or Senator today, and SHARE this with others (be sure to copy & paste this text when sharing).

Graham was referring to a Pew Research poll.

Muslims and Islam: Key findings in the U.S. and around the world

By Michael Lipka | Pew Research

Muslims are the fastest-growing religious group in the world. … Here are answers to some key questions about Muslims, …./ [read]

From the Washington Post

In July, Graham, the son of Billy Graham, wrote on Facebook that the country should “should stop all immigration of Muslims to the U.S. until this threat with Islam has been settled.” That post came after four Marines and a sailor were fatally shot at military facilities in Chattanooga, Tenn., by a Kuwait-born U.S. citizen from a conservative Muslim family.

Another Pew Research article says:

The public continues to express conflicted views of Islam. Favorable opinions of Islam have declined since 2005, but there has been virtually no change over the past year in the proportion of Americans saying that Islam is more likely than other religions to encourage violence.

And that is not all that has declined since 2005.

More on Graham’s Facebook here.

If it is a matter of life and death, which I believe it proves, then what is the problem with our concerns about their dysfunctional vetting? The left couldn’t even vet the current president in 2 elections. Certainly, the ruling-class are disconnected from reality.

TRUMPED UP BAN

So with all the flurry over Trump’s remarks it is easy to get swept away in the ensuing flood of criticisms.

But really, what was so bad about his ban proposal? Forget the Marxist Left, they call everything names and they were licking their lips at this one. But if reason prevails, then there is a lot to consider on his proposal. Religious, Islamic fascists declared war on us.

Trump’s Muslim Ban Is Not ‘Fascist,’ and Is Not Unconstitutional

by John Hayward | 8 Dec 2015
Breitbart

Because it has caused a great deal of controversy (to put it mildly), it seems appropriate to quote the “Donald J. Trump Statement On Preventing Muslim Immigration” in full:

Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on. According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population.

Great article on it. Have people realized that if we plan on screening out ISIS from our border, then that is a religious test? Why kid ourselves? That’s who is at war with us.

This all made me think that Hitler made a critical error. It was dumb that he didn’t just declare the the Third Reich a religion. Then he would have had our hands tied.

It seems that the people are ahead of the government and lawmakers. We understand what is happening. Obama loves to lecture that we just don’t understand, yet we are way ahead them. Of course they don’t listen to us which, is the second part of the problem.

When Trump makes a sensible statement that people agree with, their knee-jerk response is to blame him and all those who support him. Instead of realizing the people understand the problem, the ruling class elites stick their heads in the sand and tell us what they cannot do. Obama says, “What I will not do is…” That’s a confidence builder.

Fleeting election and “immigration”

As soon as the election was over almost everyone was talking about “immigration”, which it is not anyway. But why?

It’s even less understandable if you look at the history. Last year is when approval polls really started going down, just as they were haranguing over “immigration reform” and the Senate was moving a bill. So what have we learned? People really were not happy or interested in doing what they wanted to do. Did they learn the lesson?

Another example of big government. Politicians saw some euphoric “bipartisan support” for it in the Senate, but the unpopularity or dislike for amnesty among the people was high and growing.(blaming them) There were some other events at the time, too, though disapproval spiked from that point remaining to date.

And yet here we are in the 2014 midterm election and its the very first thing they want to talk about. It is now Obama’s unilateral threat, as soon as he can do it.

In my view, it is chief among reasons people are/were angry and distrust pols, yet they are chomping at the bit. Even after we just had an insurgency of over 60,000 more illegals, and people were really ticked off at that. Within 24 hours they were back at it.

We have so many problems: the border is Swiss cheese, enforcement a problem and our security is at risk, yet they are worried about people besides voters. Isn’t that typical? At least by now you would think they could try to call it something besides “immigration”.

Déjà vu on mass immigration schemes

Did Obama’s dreams from his father include the nightmare of the Mariel boat-lift?

But face it, Obama swung the door wide open and he sent out invitations when, by his executive pen, he issued his EO dream policy. He tempted anyone who could find the way to storm our gates.

Bad enough that Castro could concoct such a plan but Obama could orchestrate one right from the Oval Office. Remember Marielitos?

They Seized the Moment and Came to America : Immigration: Mariel boat-lift refugees live down their bad image and enter the U.S. mainstream. But 6,000 remain in custody.

May 29, 1990|MIKE CLARY

MIAMI — Ten years ago this month the waters of the Florida Straits churned in prop chop. Thunderstorms occasionally raked the seas with lightning and water spouts, but nothing shut down the 100-mile shuttle between Key West and the Cuban port of Mariel.

People who had never been to sea in their lives hung over the sides of shrimpers and yachts with names they didn’t know, sick from motion and anxiety. But still they kept coming. [/…]

Still, a decade after the most tumultuous wave of immigration ever to sweep over U.S. shores, Americans–especially Cuban-Americans–are still struggling to come to grips with the exodus. [more]

Wikipedia:
The Mariel boat-lift was a mass emigration of Cubans who departed from Cuba’s Mariel Harbor for the United States between April 15 and October 31, 1980.

The event was precipitated by a sharp downturn in the Cuban economy which led to internal tensions on the island and a bid by up to 10,000 Cubans to gain asylum in the Peruvian embassy.

The Cuban government subsequently announced that anyone who wanted to leave could do so, and an exodus by boat started shortly afterward. The exodus was organized by Cuban-Americans with the agreement of Cuban president Fidel Castro. The exodus started to have negative political implications for U.S. president Jimmy Carter when it was discovered that a number of the exiles had been released from Cuban jails and mental health facilities. The Mariel boat-lift was ended by mutual agreement between the two governments involved in October 1980. By that point, as many as 125,000 Cubans had made the journey to Florida.

Initially, the Carter administration had an open-arms policy in regard to Cuban immigrants. Cubans were immediately granted refugee status and all the rights that went with it. Additionally, public opinion towards Cuban refugees was initially favorable.

But that soon changed. And speaking of ‘open-arms policy’? Hello.

While maybe much of the country does not remember the Marielitos, the people in the border states like Florida have it etched in their memory. Oh, the riots and crime wave, those were the times. Now we are seeing a systematic breach of the border that looks as though it has no end in sight. So what are we to expect from this?

And there will be consequences, lots of them. Starting with only the immediate expenses and logistics should be enough to choke even the most bleeding-heart liberal. But stop it? It’s too late now. We can only brace ourselves for the affects.

The times they are a changing. If Obama thinks he will escape the fallout of this, he needs to talk to Carter. But then that’s what Obama is doing now, playing politics. While this president believes in fundamentally transforming America, he may have a challenge fundamentally transforming history.

They’ll tell us to sit back, relax ….maybe have a nice Cuban cigar.

Weird science and broken borders

Obama goes way out on a limb to declare global warming is real because “science is science”. Well, except when it’s not. But Barry can believe in anything that might benefit his political agenda. Weasel Zippers has the story.

“The good news is that the public may get out ahead of some of their politicians,” Obama said, suggesting that as people see the effects of weather disasters like hurricanes and droughts, they might begin to change their minds.

“Those start multiplying, then people start thinking, ‘You know what? We’re going to reward politicians who talk to us honestly and seriously about this problem,’” he said.

News flash for Obama, science and facts are in: the border is being flooded. But I don’t see him concerned about that. O and his pen put out a big “open house” sign and strange how science and math confirms the results. He calls for no emergency actions to combat that.

And unlike Global Warming, that responsibility is in the Constitution. As much as the modern Left sees human beings and population as a huge threat, and cause of every problem we face, it’s amazing how they could not care less about the border.

You’d think anyone would be worried about those numbers and what it portends for our future. Where’s the sustainability plan for that? Where is the strategy to reverse the harmful affects of faulty borders? Meanwhile, Obama also has the largest carbon footprint of any president in history.

Now here’s a real hockey stick

In early 2011, 14 percent of all unauthorized immigrants were from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

In 2011, nearly 3.1 million Central American immigrants resided in the United States, representing close to 8 percent of all immigrants. The Central American born accounted for nearly 8 percent (3.1 million) of the country’s 40.4 million immigrants in 2011. This population has grown more than 60 times its size since 1960, when about 48,900 Central American immigrants resided in the country.

From 1960 to 2011, the number of Central American immigrants and their share of the U.S. immigrant population increased rapidly (see Table 1). At less than 50,000 in 1960, the population more than doubled in the 1960s, tripled in both the 1970s and 1980s, and again nearly doubled in the 1990s, reaching a 2-million mark by 2000 and then a 3-million mark by 2010. The Central-American born share of the U.S. immigrant population also increased – from less than 1 percent in 1960 to nearly 8 percent in 2010. Between 2010 and 2011, the number of immigrants from Central America remained largely unchanged.

As of 2011, approximately 39 percent of the 3.1 million Central American immigrants in the United States had entered since 2000;

The science is settled on how they’ve made the problem worse while talking up amnesty.

Total illegal population
Take Texas, for example: it had 1 million-ninety thousand illegals in 2000, increasing to 1.79 million in 2011. (and add 3 more years to that, plus this most recent uptick over the last months) No doubt Texas’s number has doubled from 2000. Reports are running at a thousand a day.

Yet all they talk about is global warming, ice, polar bears, rising sea levels, hurricanes, and UN reports. But the statistics are loud and clear on their denial about the illegal immigration problem. Sustainability anyone?

While he uses his pen to try to regulate the environment and lower rising sea levels, he uses his pen to increase the levels, and problems, of illegal immigration. The same pen.

You wanted a crisis, Obama? You got one. It’s time people “get out ahead” of Obama and politicians who incubated the problem. I’ll dub him ‘the doctor of weird science’.

I have a “dream”, too. It’s called Constitutional government.
