Significance of the 4th Of July

The real significance of the 4th of July is, of course, declaring our Independence. Though that fact happened before securing our freedom in the Revolution.

That is something to ponder. Maybe the lesson is the Declaration did not accomplish the entire objective. Yet July 4th is the day and holiday we celebrate that started it all.

It would be years after the July 4th, 1776 Declaration that we finally assured our independence. We sort of glamorize it as the day independence was accomplished.

Fortunately, an alternative history has never been written. Though today we see signs that our independence is vulnerable. We see signs that it all could be squandered. And after all we have been through as a country since then, there are real threats that abound us.

Take for instance the Manchurian presidency of Barack Obama:

After returning from a tour of some of the war zones in the Middle East — which ended with the Free Iran Gathering 2018 in Paris — I am struck by the realization that America really did have a Manchurian Candidate in The White House for eight years.

If you look at the evidence, there really is no other conclusion. The calamitous consequences of the Obama presidency will be felt for the foreseeable future.

No Patriot

For the occasion, mainstream media asked some people on the street if they were proud of America? Many either said “not now” or “used to be.” It is quantified. Their pride in America seems based mostly on who is president at the time. Stunning.

How’s that Independence working for you?

Happy Israel Independence Day

Israel’s Independence Day is celebrated on the fifth day of the month of Iyar, which is the Hebrew date of the formal establishment of the State of Israel, when members of the “provisional government” read and signed a Declaration of Independence in Tel Aviv. The original date corresponded to May 14, 1948. In 2016, it falls on May 12.

Most of the Jewish communities in the Western world have incorporated this modern holiday into their calendars, but some North American Jewish communities hold the public celebrations on a following Sunday in order to attract more participation. In the State of Israel it is a formal holiday, so almost everyone has the day off.

But I’m sure to some people that wish is divisive or a micro-aggression. Unfortunately, Israel’s Independence Day is a day of hatred for many people. Happy birthday Israel.

No cause for Israel celebration

With a little sadness, but knowing and seeing how the left thinks, I ask any pro-Israel people to take a look at this article and read it. Well, the anti-Israel haters can read it too, though their sentiments are close to what’s reflected in it.

Doesn’t it sound eerily familiar, like some of our liberals here? Talk about a pessimistic view. All about politics and negativity because Netanyahu won et al. Note the channeled voice of speaking for masses and the dripping intellectual elitist views. Well, it probably went over real well in some circles.(if that was the plan) Sad it comes to this.
