Meanwhile Press and Media Whine

I’m going to put up this piece from the news association, not because it deserves to be but because it needs to be called out for what it is. I am mean for picking on the press.

They are calling on all press to use their prestigious space to defend the “free press.”
A few hundred have agreed, like a solidarity thing.

RTDNA calls on members to join campaign defending press freedom

August 13, 2018 | RTDNA [*emphasis mine]

The Radio Television Digital News Association and its Voice of the First Amendment Task Force are calling on our more than 1,200 members and their broadcast and digital news outlets to join the Boston Globe and more than 100 other local newspapers across the country on Aug. 16 in a coordinated editorial response to attacks from the President on the media.

“We urge our members to join the effort on Thursday, Aug. 16 by dedicating airtime, publishing an online editorial or sharing information via social media platforms that speaks to your viewers and listeners about the role we play in preserving the public’s right and need to know, in a government for and by the people,” said Dan Shelley, RTDNA’s executive director.

“The President has ratcheted up his anti-press contempt. Journalists are now the ‘disgusting fake news,’ and according to one presidential tweet, we also ‘cause Wars [sic].’ This rhetoric has contributed to many of the president’s supporters lashing out harshly against members of the White House press corps and other journalists. It must stop before more journalists are hurt or worse,” states Shelley.

Today, RTDNA, its members and the other broadcast and digital journalists it represents stand in solidarity with the dozens of American newspapers that have joined the Boston Globe campaign to publish editorials pushing back against the notion that responsible journalism is “fake news” and that journalists are the “enemy of the American people.”

Please contact RTDNA at pressfreedom@rtdna.org if your station plans to participate. For more information on how to explain the public service your news organization regularly provides, please see this list of resources for rebuilding trust with news consumers and this list of questions to consider as a newsroom.

So it is a campaign defending press freedom. Oh goody, a special day for that.

Instead of what they claim, this is a dedicated day to attack Trump, feel free as if they do not already do so daily. So what is the special occasion about this day? That’s what they have done since Trump won.

But my personal issue with this goes much deeper. First of all, when press refers to the First Amendment, they liberally mean “freedom of press.” However, there are other freedoms in the first amendment. Just that to press, this freedom is the only one they really give a damn about. Secondly, it is offensive that they lay claim to the First Amendment as their own. But that is the only part they want people to care about and keep beating us over the head about.

Yes, I understand the need for a Free Press. It is absurd I have to make that disclaimer.

I will take the opportunity to mention another favorite talking point of theirs — meaning the press in general. The claim is Trump declared war on the first amendment. Again, by first amendment they are referring to press. (misleading to say the least.) Or some even say he declared war on the “free press.” What nonsense. I have never seen another president more media friendly than Trump.

This bothers me why? It is mostly this “war on or against the first amendment” mantra that gets me. As the old line goes: “what we have here is a failure to communicate.” With all that is going on, there is not a war on the press or first amendment. It is a battle within the First Amendment. But it has always been there. There has always been some friction within the 1st Amend. The press is only one of 5 freedoms contained therein: Freedom of religion, speech, press, petition of grievance, and assembly. I see press is only one fifth of that. Technically, you can say press may have some tangential influence in others.

As to the “war” as they call it within the first amendment; it is press declaring war on the people’s freedoms. Press has no ownership of or control over the First Amendment.

Despite how I really feel about this brouhaha over the press, I will give them this honored day…… to make a joke out of themselves, as they have done for over 10 years.

What an idea!

We could have had special “defense of the first amendment days” back in 2009-2010. Remember the Tea Parties? But we did not get “special day” kudos for defending free speech. We got the royal condemnation for it, and viciously attacked. For all of our organizing skill and peaceful efforts, we had the long arm of the IRS attack dogs sicked on us. It was labeled traitorous to the US Constitution in media. Talk about Orwellian.

Did we get a special assist or atta-boy from the media/press for standing up and defending the First Amendment? Just the opposite. We were attacked for “hiding behind the first amendment.” But it was press that was doing the attacking. They declared war on free speech and dissent, from both ends of Pennsylvania Ave. and in press and media.

So what does that tell us, other than the fact that the “press” doesn’t give a damn about the first amendment? It tells us they have chosen sides. And they chose to go to war against the American people, just for standing up for their first amendment rights.

So for this dedicated “defending press day” I offer them a peace sign minus the index finger. Of course they really don’t need me or anyone else to stand up for them, they have the power of the press. And chose to use that power against the American people. What were they “standing up” for back then? Oh, it was for big-government, for the power of the White House, the power in Congress. Remember their stories of outrage that people yelled at Congressmen, especially black members, when the Democrat caucus paraded in front of Tea Parties to fabricate fake news about us. Then press ran that narrative lie into the ground. We were also labeled racists then. Media assisted.

Excuse me for not having any outrage that the press is victimized. Give me a break. Again, press made huge choices long ago and declared war within the first amendment, against the people. You didn’t just stand idly by, you were the enforcers. Even Ben Rhodes admitted the Obama administration had media, press eating out of their hand. Because, at that point, free press sycophants, you were no longer a “free press.”

Is it time for a ‘voice of free speech task force’? — at least I’m being honest.
See what they did there: “Voice of the First Amendment Task Force”?

[Globe]- The Globe initiative comes amid the president’s repeated verbal attacks on journalists, calling mainstream press organizations “fake news” and “the enemy of the American people.” Tensions came to a boil in early August when CNN reporter Jim Acosta walked out of a press briefing after White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders refused to refute Trump’s “enemy of the people” comments.

Jeff Sessions’ DoJ Will Not Investigate IRS Suppression of Tea Party Groups

Breitbart — by Neil Munro | 8 Sep 2017

Republicans slammed the Friday announcement by President Donald Trump’s justice department that it will not investigate the official who allegedly oversaw the IRS’ secret sabotage of Americans’ civic groups before the 2012 election.

“This is a terrible decision,” said a statement from Texas Rep. Kevin Brady, the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, which oversees taxes and the IRS. His statement continued:

It sends the message that the same legal, ethical, and Constitutional standards we all live by do not apply to Washington political appointees – who will now have the green light to target Americans for their political beliefs and mislead investigators without ever being held accountable for their lawlessness. Not only has the Department of Justice chosen not to hold [IRS manager] Lois Lerner criminally liable for obstructing an official investigation by the Inspector General, the Department continues to defend the Internal Revenue Service’s unconstitutional actions against taxpayers in ongoing civil litigation.

“The decision not to prosecute Lois Lerner is a miscarriage of justice,” said an accompanying statement from the chairman of the tax policy subcommittee, Illinois Rep. Peter Roskam. He continued:

On top of Ms. Lerner’s actions against taxpayers – denying tax-exempt status to groups for political gain and failing to protect taxpayer information – the Department’s response blatantly ignores our most troubling finding: that Ms. Lerner intentionally misled federal investigators in a flagrant violation of the law. This is unacceptable and Ms. Lerner must be held accountable. Our democracy is injured when those who taxpayers entrust with great authority ignore the law to advance their own political agenda without repercussion.”

Tom Fitton, head of the Watchdog law firm Judicial Watch, joined the criticism, saying:

The scandal has been underway since 2013 when the IRS admitted that its officials had slow-rolled and blocked routine requests for tax-exempt status from conservative Tea Party groups while giving quick approval to liberal groups. That obstruction of tax-exempt status made it difficult for the conservative groups to raise funds needed to campaign against then-president Barack Obama during the 2012 election. Under Obama, the IRS and the justice department stonewalled and blocked subsequent investigations, via many tactics such the destruction of email records.

GOP officials and members of the non-profit groups hoped that Trump’s deputies would investigate and prosecute the wrongdoing.

But the September 8 letter from the Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ Justice Department said it would not even reopen the investigation because officials require “proof beyond a reasonable doubt that a government employee intentionally discriminated against an applicant for a tax-exempt status based on viewpoint.”

Prior investigations had found mismanagement that disproportionately hurt conservative groups, and the recently appointed department officials reviewed the new reports and concluded that “reopening the criminal investigation would not be appropriate based on the available evidence,” said the Friday letter from Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd.

That answer was a response to an April 12 letter from the two GOP leaders on the tax committee, which included more information about Lerner’s activities, and a request that the department “take a fresh look at the evidence presented in the attached referral.” The referral is provided here.

“I have the utmost respect for Attorney General Sessions, but I’m troubled by his Department’s lack of action to fully respond to our request and deliver accountability,” Bray said in his Friday statement. “Today’s decision does not mean Lois Lerner is innocent. It means the justice system in Washington is deeply flawed.”

My outrage meter shattered. When WTF becomes the only viable response to events….

Oh, so there is not enough things going on now at present that we have to import a scandal from Julio Obama’s residency. Like didn’t Obama cronies run out of free passes long ago?

And while they are at it, maybe someone should explain to all of us why Obama’s lying John Koskinen is still Commissioner of IRS?

Clinton foundation full of red flags

With so Many Red Flags, Why Isn’t the IRS Auditing the Clinton Foundation?

by Charles Ortel – 16 Mar 2015 | Breitbart

Sixteen months ago, Nicholas Confessore and Amy Chozick wrote in The New York Times about the loose governance and financial performance of the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation. For example, after more than 10 years in operation, the Foundation had internal controls that were only just coming into play, while financial disclosures seemed sloppy and even misleading.

In addition, two months have elapsed since Eric Braverman– the talented executive recruited in July 2013 to put the Clinton Foundation back into order– resigned unexpectedly several weeks following renewal of his long-term management contract by the Board of Directors.

Actually accounting for financial impact?

Media reports suggest Braverman lost out fighting the melange of Clinton loyalists who behave as Bill and Hillary have done throughout their adult lives: acting as if rules are for other people and noble ends justify transgressions, even egregious ones.

More: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/03/16/with-so-many-red-flags-why-isnt-the-irs-auditing-the-clinton-foundation/

The answer from the Clinton mobile defense team is “there is no there there” or “no evidence has been produced that….” And the response to that is Bill and Hillary Clinton are involved, need we say more? With the track record of the shady, sleazy politics and activity of the Clintons, their involvement anywhere should require an investigation.

After all, the IRS audits and investigates any other players, even for years. Yet they haven’t looked into the foundation money trail and State? It takes global-sized blinders to ignore that. Meanwhile, the DoJ has attacked businesses’ like gun dealers — not to mention guitar manufacturers –and seized bank accounts for simply making objectionable deposits or purchases. They confiscate the funds as well. But in this case, there is not a huge investigation. Rather Clintonista supporters are offended when someone reports facts which themselves are the smoking gun. Businesses get operation Choke point, Clintons and their foundation get “it does so much good.”

We already have a president in office who is not impeachable no matter what he seems to do. Then we have a foundation with direct government connections that is apparently off limits and immune from investigation or audit by the IRS for its flagrant practices. Again, all of it so scandalous and the Clintonites say there is no evidence. There doesn’t have to be, just the egregious appearance of so many abuses and conflicts are quite enough.

[“KdEtat07BillJefferson90K” by Infrogmation, New Orleans – Photo by Infrogmation. Licensed under CC BY 2.5 via Wikimedia Commons.]

Suppose a public official has money in his pocket and gave favorable treatment to the source. Then people say but nothing connects that money in his pocket with the favorable treatment. They say there is no evidence. So when (LA) William Jefferson had all that money in his freezer he could have said, “nothing connects it to my actions.” Case closed. It is absurd that we do not investigate it. Why hasn’t there been some sting operation by FBI? Is it because Clintons are above and beyond the reach of the law?

Then again, Politico magazine described the rifts and rivalry within the foundation. Struggles that ensued when daughter Chelsea brought in a new CEO to right the ship. (replacing Clinton loyalist Bruce Lindsey)He resigned after getting board support.

The previously untold saga of Braverman’s brief, and occasionally fraught tenure trying to navigate the Clintons’ insular world highlights the challenges the family has faced trying to impose rigorous oversight onto a vast global foundation that relies on some of the same loyal megadonors Hillary Clinton will need for the presidential run sources have said she is all but certain to launch later this year. — Politico

An investigation with teeth or IRS audit is justified. Instead, we read the facts to a chorus of denials about evidence. Let’s all take a stupid pill. That will solve it. Plus while Hillary was at State and her server was in NY, State had no confirmed Inspector General. An obvious outsourced server would have set off alarms.

Townhall

Bill Clinton and President Obama had an agreement that the Clinton Foundation would not accept any new donations from most governments while she was Secretary of State, and that any new, or increased, donations would be subject to State Department review. Of course, that didn’t really happen, and Clinton has failed to disclose the foundation’s donors since 2010, despite a 2008 promise to do so on an annual basis.

Bloomberg reported on the IG problem, obvious to anyone that cared — and certainly would be known to Hillary Clinton.

Instead of that being a problem, we were told ‘there is no evidence of any wrongdoing.’ Now we see how instrumental her server violation was and it was in NY close to the Foundation operation. Did anyone cry about not confirming an IG? They have had a similar situation in the Department of Interior. So, again, objectionable businesses get operation Choke Point, and the State Department under Hillary did not get an inspector general. If any place needed one at that time, it was State.

And the Show must go on

Hillary is cranking up the campaign presses but this is her theme in announcing her run.

Hillary campaign

Oh yes, she has decided we need a champion, and she has decided she will be that champion. Oh that smell, I can never get used to it — and hope I don’t.

Americans needed a champion in 2012, to get to the bottom of Benghazi which still hasn’t happened. “Everyday Americans” needed an investigation and explanation of what happened. They got lies about a video and protest in return. Hillary said “what difference at this point does it make anyway?” Champion?

They needed a champion to take on the IRS and the scandal it has become, to stop it from targeting private citizens out of political motives. They needed a champion to stop the usurpation and executive abuse of Obama’s assault on America with his pen and phone. They needed a real Dep of Justice — not a Just-Us department.

They needed a champion to stop the unconstitutional amnesty programs, to force government to enforce the law. They needed a champion to enforce our borders. Anyone? But government told them their perception was the problem.

“We the people” needed a champion to protect us from Obamacare: the creation, the law, the roll out, continued executive fiat, and the damage it is causing. We needed a champion to prevent government abuse of our tax dollars on boondoggles that lost our money.

In short, they need a champion and advocate to protect them from the Federal Leviathan, not someone promising more of the same.

They needed a champion on their side standing up to the tyrant in the White House, and out of control administration with a justice department corrupted from within. They were treated to one scandal after another but told there were no scandals, and that there was not a smidgeon of corruption in the IRS.

What Americans needed and wanted they never got. Americans wanted the ear of their government and got lectures instead. We were told “you didn’t build that”. Obama said we were angry and cling to guns and religion, holding antipathy toward others. We got lectured and called racists. We were told we just didn’t understand Obamacare etc. Middle class Americans and everyone else were lied to, repeatedly. Then they were mocked.

Finally, we got lectured about the Crusades when our national security was threatened, as Americans and Christians were slaughtered in the name of Islamic terrorism. We got an administration refusing to state the objective of Islamic terrorism.

What Americans needed was economic stability but what they got was an assault on the economy and a war on energy, sponsored by their own government.

She tells us what “everyday Americans” really need is a champion. Thanks. Government taking its boot off the throat of the economy and ending its assault on us would help.

So Hillary will stand up for middle-class Americans … from the back of her limousine.

PS: Americans don’t need a champion, they need government to stop its abuse.

Same theme rings a note

It’s time for another custom comparison. I do it for perspective, to avoid being myopic on one issue, and to keep the larger picture in mind. That includes the greater principles involved — or problem as the case may be.

In this one it is Obamacare, the VA scandal, and the IRS scandal.

So here we are with Obamacare, or Affordable Care Act as they like to call it. We now see even more evidence of what went into cooking up this abuse of power. Yes, abuse of power is the central theme to all this. “We’re from the government…”

They passed Obamacare using every trick they could think of, and used every scheme they could devise in writing it. They assumed people had to be lied to. So they lied in creating it, then they lied in promoting, ie selling it. They used all the contorted methodology they could to ram it through a Party line vote. They had backroom deals and closed door meetings in creating it. They used government abuse to get it passed. They took money from another government program in trouble to fund it.

Then there were all the promises or, as I call them, lies they used to make us feel good about it. Something with that many lies to sell it must be pretty bad on the face. They embedded all these taxes and then said but they aren’t taxes. Then the Supremes did call it a tax and upheld it on those grounds. Why there are even sub-scandals like the Louisiana Purchase, “Cornhusker Kickback” for Nebraska, and now the money Gruber was paid while designing and promoting it. Mary Landrieu’s 300 million dollar Louisiana Purchase turned into a 4.3 billion dollar windfall. Then the controversy over state exchanges.

Where is the VA in this? The VA and government employees systematically schemed to limit and cheat healthcare for military vets. You have the schemes, and then you have the abuse and trail. Though it is criminal what they actually were doing but now they treat it as though it were a disciplinary infraction of policy, rather than policy. What they did was akin to a pyramid scheme. If some people complained, point to the great benefits of the system and claim it just needs more funding to correct it.

Behind it all, they were lying to people and keeping separate secret lists. Then even getting bonuses based on false premises. The sacred obligations we have toward veterans, and the trust therein, was broken. Though little can undo the damage done, but they make gestures to correct the systemic abuse within the system. But now it gets even worse in the fallout. They suspend or fire some people while what was done is criminal, especially to veterans. (even media termed it a scandal) But employees have protections, you know.

The IRS was intentionally targeting swaths of people, but we weren’t supposed to know that. Discrimination anyone? They claimed they were treating everyone the same. (with suspicion?) They claimed it was a few rogue employees apparently freelancing. So they lied. They feigned outrage when faced with the problem. Then we find it went further, deeper into the caverns of bureaucratic planning than they want us to think. Oops, can’t even feign outrage over that, so deflect and dismiss it.

Then we see the trail of scheming to cover up, right through testifying. They issue blanket statements to substitute for actions. They used their political disagreement with a Supreme decision as grounds for their selective political targeting. Finally, IRS is the enforcement arm for ObamaCare.

In all these scandals, they also blamed Republicans: for resisting Obamacare and misnaming it; for playing politics with the VA though problems were systemic; for even calling the IRS thing a “scandal” and an abuse of power. Some Dems applauded and encouraged the behavior.

In Obamacare they lied to create it and push it through. In the VA, they said they were improving the process. In IRS, they lied that it was a problem or abuse. There is a vacuum of accountability for any of it. Not even admission. Real lives are affected and damaged by all. They even called the IRS scandal a partisan witch-hunt, talk about irony to the tenth power.

Then they lie from the podium about the problems and scandals claiming Obama et al were completely unaware of the problems. It’s a little hard to say you were fixing or correcting the problems when you claim you were not aware of them.

Can you say abuse and misuse of power? Its a running theme throughout the administration. Even while we are looking at one area of government abuse, they and Obama are steaming toward another abuse of power. It’s so bad they will create a scandal to cover a scandal.

Of course there is the coverup: hard drives crash, emails are somehow lost, records are lost or destroyed. But they are upset at what conservatives call things — scandals, Obamacare, corruption. They are still selling Obamacare on the ‘wet noodle principle’, throw it at the wall if it will stick. The Constitution is being shredded and they are worried about what it is labeled. There was knowledge, intent and misuse of government power. And yes, they were all sponsored by “change you can believe in”…”yes we can.”

So, it’s Republicans fault for not liking it, and people are too stupid to understand.

Dissing Zero

While some effects are hypothetical, what isn’t are Obama’s poll numbers. So I looked at the Real Clear Politics chart and what I found was interesting. The day it shifted from black-approval, to negative-disapproval was about May29th, 2013. From then on the disapproval leads. Well, besides a giant asteroid passing by earth, there was other news.

Six months into his second term and Obama’s approval numbers inverted. His disapproval numbers have remained higher than his approvals ever since.

May 2013 was not a good month for the Obama administration, dep of Justice, or the IRS, or one Lois Lerner. The IRS scandal broke and by the 22nd, Lerner was taking the fifth amendment in her roundabout way of giving an opening statement declaring she did nothing wrong. This after she initially leaked the IRS targeted conservatives. Benghazi was still on the front burner.

Last October it was 50.9 disapproval — 43.9 approval. By December, it was 55.6 disapproval to 40% approval. All that stuff which happened in the last year and a half adds to that mix. Benghazi, to IRS, to immigration, privacy, rights, government spending and national security.

We had the trifecta, Benghazi the Dep of Justice scandal over the phone records. (without even counting fast and furious) Questions of whether Holder lied under oath about investigations. It was the week Lois Lerner was called to testify and took the fifth amendment. The Democrats finally began calling for her resignation. A Senate gang of eight was working on and moving an immigration reform bill. He’s been inverted ever since.

Then through to the recent discontent. On August 05, NBC/Wall Street Journal reported about upcoming mid-term elections:

Two words sum up the mood of the nation: Fed up.

Six in 10 Americans are dissatisfied with the state of the U.S. economy, more than 70 percent believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, and nearly 80 percent are down on the country’s political system, according to the latest NBC News / Wall Street Journal poll.

The frustration carries over to the nation’s political leaders, with President Barack Obama’s overall approval rating hitting a new low at 40 percent, and a mere 14 percent of the public giving Congress a thumbs up.

“We’re in the summer of our discontent,” said Democratic pollster Peter Hart, who conducted this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff. “Americans are cranky, unhappy… It is with everything going on in the world.”

The discontent’s two main causes

The NBC/WSJ pollsters attribute the wide discontent to the lingering effects of the Great Recession, as well as a loss of faith in the country’s politicians. /…

There’s also the public’s anger at Washington. A whopping 79 percent of respondents are dissatisfied with the U.S. political system, including nearly half who are very dissatisfied.

In addition, 71 percent of Americans believe the economic problems facing the country are due to the inability of elected officials in Washington to get things done to improve the economy.

By comparison, just 23 percent think the problems are due to deep and longstanding issues with the economy.

“The public seems to have moved beyond the plaintive cry of ‘Feel our pain!’ to the more angry pronouncement of ‘You are causing our pain!’” said Democratic pollster Fred Yang of Hart Research.

More: http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/americas-fed-obama-approval-rating-hits-all-time-low-poll-n173271

I just love the way he stated that conclusion. But there is a fly in their ointment. They claim there is not a central issue people are rallied around. That’s a problem? Well, there are many. So the larger issue is not only don’t people trust our politicians (i.e. government) but that they blame it/them for these circumstances.

One has to be blind not to see the wide circumstances for discontent. This year is even worse than last. Does not coalescing around one particular issue seem like a problem that will hurt Republicans? Choosing one particular issue would naturally give others a pass. That people blame politicians and government could be a wonderful thing.

Providence votes in disagreement

This takes a little explaining but I’ll try. The last few weeks reinforce my opinion that there just might be some method in all this madness. It’s a working theory.

Let me start by acknowledging all those loud voices against foreign involvements of any kind. Oh, it makes for some good soundbites. Generally, a lot of people agree with that evidenced by Ron Paul’s popularity. There are good points. There are also limits and extremes, though this is not about the validity of that theory.

Into that backdrop and sentiment came Obama into office. He attempted to project his success in that philosophy, as well as his overall ideology. Then came his second campaign and, besides all other problems, he made anti-war the central issue. “Osama bin Laden is Dead and GM is alive.” Biden said that was the bumper sticker for the campaign, despite reality. Obama’s inaction toward foreign wars was supposed to be his greatest achievement. And they eventually caught bin Laden, even if it was only a matter of time. He rode the victory lap long and hard on that right into the campaign.

Then came Benghazi. After years complaining that Bush took his eye off the ball, a terrorist attack happens. No sooner did it happen than he was figuratively and literally in full campaign mode when they began lying and standing truth on its head. They had already been spinning the Libya adventure, declaring it a validation of Obama’s approach and trying their organizing touch with their Muslim Brotherhood connections.

That was just the backdrop for what happened. As hard as team Obama tried to project his utopian vision, events took place to defy it. Well, they still argued that not only were they correct but things were going swimmingly smooth.(or they pointed to Bush) Regardless of the talk, one Mid-East uprising after another went awry under his studious leadership, if you followed their narrative about it all. They tried to reassure everyone things were working as planned. Biden had claimed Iraq would be their big success story.

But they were so busy running from and trying to rewrite Benghazi to notice what was happening — or to see the overall message. The people caught on but they didn’t. And they dug in even further, calling Benghazi a manufactured and made-up scandal just like they called Fast and Furious. It was standard protocol to deny any truth about it.

Here is the point. It was somewhere between the middle of his fist term and Benghazi. He painted a portrait that seemed nothing like reality, and the sales pitch for it became harder and harder. There never was an attempt to work with others — as Obama claimed he had always done. No, those lies aren’t the real point either. But what happened every time was as if divine providence proved him wrong.

As he was writing off Iraq as ‘his’ success story, it was falling apart. As he was betting on the Arab Spring, it got sprung by his Mo-Bros and radicals. Just like he’d declared success in Libya it fell apart. As he swore off action with a red line in Syria, with a warning not to use chemical weapons, what happened? Hello chemicals. He then declared it a success after Putin cut him off at the pass, and detoured it. Success was now an agreement, he claimed. He was applying the same negotiation strategy with Iran, and again prematurely calling it progress and success.

Now do you notice what happened every time, almost as if planned? The truth showed its head every time. So the message was always there, we could see it. I believe, and it is only my opinion, that the truth was saying “you cannot hide me, and I am not going away.” Despite what Obama did, it seemed truth would not be hidden from view. As stubbornly arrogant as Obama is, the truth appears as stubborn.

They start with deception: but the JV, regional ISIS begs to differ. No threats in this country, then people are caught at the border with ISIS ties ( plus those who got by). Napolitano said we had a border perception problem. Yea, a 20/20 problem. You can’t hide 60,000 illegals storming the border. Why make the statements? No shutdown of government, voila shutdown. Obamacare will save money, facts be damned. Clapper said we aren’t wittingly collecting Americans’ information. Obama said there was “ not even a smidgen of corruption” in the IRS scandal. Hello.

Obama rolled out his signature Obamacare putting so much emphasis on their success beforehand that it could not live up to it on any level. Even worse, the process to roll it out was so flawed it was laughable. Do you see a little humor in that? I know it wasn’t funny but it was like Providence was playing its hand again. The irony of truth, in spite of what they said and did. With all the ObamaCare hype, you’d think at least the problem-plagued program could roll out without creating even more disaster than it already was.

Even with help from mainstream media, they could not completely hide the truth. Benghazi blew up in their face, after they thought they had killed it. Then came the IRS scandal. Each time they defiantly ignored it. Then the sequester testified.

Obama portrays himself as patient and wise. Events don’t validate it. Almost the harder they try to project their narrative, someone is saying “not so fast…you can’t get away with all those lies.” You probably know what I think. But it would be hard to suggest Obama is going along completely undeterred. Oh, nothing has stopped him so far. No lightning bolts prevented his machinations. At the same time, the truth was not allowed to be buried. Lord knows they tried. Obama makes some pronouncement and within a day or two facts say the opposite. I have to see a little method to this madness. I almost look forward to the next pronouncement so truth can vote its conscience.

Welcome to Circleville, formerly USA

(no offense to any towns named Circleville.) A little venting, and then some.

Circleville is a place that used to be just called USA, but much has happened to change that. Now its a place where upside down is rightside up, down is up, in is out, and most arguments are shrouded in specious reasoning and circular logic. It’s no longer important to even appear reasonable or rational. Actually, it is vogue to be unreasonable.

Whatever you find fault with, they tell you there is nothing you can do about it and your grievance is the real problem, so don’t worry about it. Your complaints are irrelevant.

But the only way you really know it is Circleville and not the USA is when you dissent from their status quo, or what is happening. To buck the trend is to be outcast. They use all this circular logic to tell you how you are wrong. It doesn’t actually prove anything, it is just supposed to shut you up. Slowly, you will either get used to it or just shut up.

One way or another you will be worn down to agree that up is down and down is up, and even like it — that is the goal. In the meantime, it all seems rather backward and does not make sense. They are confident that one day you will agree or at least stop making waves.

This consensus that runs things is driven by the desires of the “correct” populace who are always looking to evolve a little more. There is no limit to this evolution. (call it forced evolution) However, there is a severe restriction against not changing. Failure to change is now taboo — which will bring all the names down on you such as knuckle-dragger. You are considered the problem, not those bent on changing everything.

The heroes are those like Bill Ayers and traitors, or those deserters in the military they want to build monuments to. Real, traditional heroes are discarded as non-conformists and considered part of the problem. So their hero status is revoked, if it was ever justifiable.

To win is to lose. To lose is definitely winning, such as losing the US which they consider gain. But when you ask, they say “sure America is exceptional”… but so is Guatemala, Honduras, and Cuba, N Korea, Russia, etc. All things are equal, you know, except when they say they aren’t.

The same principles followed Obama into the Oval Office. The scandal-plagued administration rewards those who screw up and, in some cases, deliberately violate the law.(what is the law anyway?) They are celebrated. We have members of Congress with checkered pasts, who not only retain their careers but ascend to higher positions. Alcee Hastings, impeached as a federal judge, is in Congress. The one man who beat Barack Obama in Illinois, Bobby Rush, a black panther, is a beloved political leader.

A cop killer is elevated to MLK status, and turned into an example for school children. The death penalty is considered inhumane, while no compassion is left for real victims. Terrorists of the sixties are given tenured professorships at Universities. They write the curriculum for school children. A tax cheat is put in charge of the IRS. A man who could not pass the security clearance is made president. His attorney general oversees gunrunning in Mexico. And when he is held in contempt, part of Congress stages a walkout crying racism. The president declares Congress irrelevant in his SOTU speech as half of Congress cheer and give him a standing ovation.

Bill Ayers is turned into a teacher, on elementary curriculum no less, and a professor. How many of the 60’s radicals and terrorists just found their way into our government or system? You would think it is planned. Is it just coincidence they landed up there? John Kerry is a double-talking, lying, war protestor and now Secretary of State. Eric Holder sought the pardon on Marc Rich is made Attorney General.(well-qualified) But they aren’t just there, they are hailed as great public servants. Bill Clinton is considered the greatest politician, possibly president — infamous for his conduct. The left will turn criminals into heroes. They turn cop killers into icons, heroes, and teachers. Someone that may not qualify to run for president is hailed as exactly the right choice, unquestioned.

But others without checkered pasts are turned into villains. Koch brothers are the epitome of evil. Mitt Romney is depicted as just a greedy rich guy.(picture Mr. Scrooge with a dog on his car) Now being pro-abortion is to support the dignity of life. And so on.

Terrorism is committed by a worldwide ideology of hatred of America and its history, and the response is to put members of those factions into positions of power in the government. Release some of the worst from prisons because we have no room. Bring in people from the worst criminal countries and give them full government subsidies.Call our enemies in the world our friends and attack our allies for doing the right thing. Try to take money from our allies to give to terrorists and our enemies. Call it the sensible approach.

So it continues with the Constitutional power to impeach Obama. Sure, it might be the correct thing to do but we cannot do what is right or correct anymore, in Circleville. Instead, we must see that he is “not be impeached” — read protect him from impeachment — because it would cause even more harm to the country. It would be bad politically, and the President’s party would gain. It would not be confirmed by the Senate and make a mockery out of the process, thereby the Constitution itself. So now we must make sure it is not pursued. Impeachment is just a fundraising tool to Obama. War to Hamas is a fundraising campaign. Justice is redefined through a Liberal wormhole of social justice. Opaque is clear and clear is opaque.

This is a strange, backwards, upside down place now. Right is wrong, and wrong has become right — not just considered “right” but now considered the moral high-ground. No longer is doing the right thing right, with all the associated costs, but is reprehensible – objectionable.

You see it does not end and these are only some examples. It keeps changing and going so there are constantly new ones. Campaigning on transparency, in effect, means lying and hiding the truth. Debate now means stifling it. Campaign law means campaign corruption. It’s all around. But choose not to accept it? You have no choice, that’s the idea.
Enjoy you’re visit or else.

IRS’ mission: to destroy hard drives

IRS seeks help destroying another 3,200 hard drives

Loss of Lois Lerner emails amid tea party targeting probe unresolved

Days after IRS officials said in a sworn statement that former top agency employee Lois G. Lerner’s computer memory had been wiped clean, the agency put out word to contractors Monday that it needs help to destroy at least another 3,200 hard drives.

The Internal Revenue Service solicitation for “media destruction” services reflects an otherwise routine job to protect sensitive taxpayer information, but it was made while the agency’s record destruction practices remain under a sharp congressional spotlight.
/…
The loss of Ms. Lerner’s hard drive also raised broader questions about why the tax agency never reported the missing records to the National Archives and Records Administration, as required by the Federal Records Act.

While those questions remained unresolved, IRS officials signaled plans to destroy tens of thousands of additional electronic records.

“After all media are destroyed, they must not be capable of any reuse or information retrieval,” IRS officials stated in the contract papers.

The agency estimates the need to destroy at least 65,464 magnetic tapes, 3,225 hard drives, 5,856 floppy disks and 708 reels, according to procurement records.

About 500,000 pieces of electronic data — including cassette tapes, reels, CDs, hard drives and USB media — have been collected since 2008, according to the IRS solicitation.

Funny what has become a priority to the IRS. All of a sudden like this is their big problem. From a couple rogue employees to needing to destroy 3 thousand hard drives. I guess it’s time for house cleaning. Remember, these are professionals, do not try this at home.

Soaking in the “summer of scandal” heat

(so grab a cool one… and catch up on things)

bbq grill photo: BBQ Grill B-BQgrill.jpg

Hats off to the designer of this masterpiece. Who says the sauce is the boss?

Okay, its summertime after all, and I for one am feeling particularly festive after half time. Yep, the 4th of July is said to be summer’s half way marker.  So enjoy what you can of the balance. And as a special seasonal bonus, remember Congress goes on recess in August. That should sort of make you feel like you’re saving money while noticing those skyrocketing vacation costs.

Now if you’re in the same seasonal mood, I hope you are at least throwing the burgers on the grill as liberally as Obama’s administration is piling up scandals. Not even halfway through their summer of scandal and they’ve added another one to their menu, a border crisis to rival any other. As this one kicks off with the customary fanfare you’ve come to expect from this administration, remember like wine they only get better with age. And this one has not reached its peak vintage yet.

Time for another installment of the “summer of scandal”. Brought to you by our fine sponsor, DNC and its many affiliates. Special guest appearances of Eric Holder and his rock ’em-sock ’em DOJ. While Eric was out calling the play by play games, he gave us the hint of the planning involved in this show.

Crack open a Dr Pepper and throw another burger on the Bar-b. Add this one to your repertoire of scandals.

Eric Holder: ‘We are at a dangerous time’

By Dana Ford, CNN | July 14, 2014

(CNN) — U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is worried about wholes that are greater than the sum of their parts.

Take, for instance, the current mix of bomb-makers from Yemen with foreign fighters in Syria.

“That’s a deadly combination, where you have people who have the technical know-how along with the people who have this kind of fervor to give their lives in support of a cause that is directed at the United States and directed at its allies. And it’s something that gives us really extreme, extreme concern,” he told ABC’s “This Week.”

He estimated there are about 7,000 foreign fighters in Syria, coming from places like Europe and the United States.

“In some ways, it’s more frightening than anything I think I’ve seen as attorney general,” he said. “This is a situation that we can see developing and the potential that I see coming up, the negative potential I see coming out of the facts in Syria and Iraq now, are quite concerning,” he said.

Does his boss know he’s out there dissing their foreign policy achievements?  Maybe its like that guy trying to lure you into the side-show at the carnival with all the hype.

And threats from that part of the world aren’t the only ones Holder has to worry about. He also fears potential attacks on planes.

This month, the Transportation Security Administration said that security screeners at overseas airports may ask U.S.-bound passengers to turn on their electronic devices to prove they work and aren’t explosive devices.

So every electronic device is a potential weapon. One may ask where was his concern about this a year ago?

They won’t allow devices without power on board planes. The traveler may then undergo additional screening.

It’s part of an update to security measures aimed at combating potential new threats from terrorists in the Middle East and Europe.

“This is not a test … We’re doing something in reaction to things that we have detected,” Holder told ABC about the upgrades.

“We are at a dangerous time,” he said.

U.S. attorney general urges new laws to prevent terror from returning fighters. CNN

Do you hear that, Obama, “this is not a test”?

I get the new ever-changing security threats stuff. Those rascally terrorists are creative. So why does the invasion on the Southern border not have alarm bells going off in his mind?  Why does border security need to stand down in the face of real ever-evolving threats? And at this most “dangerous time”?

Hello: “wholes that are greater than the sum of their parts”… just saying. Remember my “Gestalt effect.”

Oh so other countries airport security may be taking precautions but our own US security in this country takes a big fat pass. In fact, they put out the welcome flag.  Scabies and lice – check, TB or diseases — checkaroony.  Other than Mexicans — check. Spotting literature of jihadists traveling across the border – check. What are we missing for potential threats? No, I think we got most of them, right here flowing across the border. Reports are coming out that some of the recently “documented” illegals are using their new papers for air travel. I wonder how that factors into Eric Holders fearful brain?

Well on the other hand, maybe we can cut Eric some slack. He said these are threats they have detected.  So maybe he just hadn’t gotten around to noticing the tens of thousands of OTM pouring across our border, with who knows what, or plans for who knows what? He’ll probably get around to that info, soon, like how out of the loop he was on Fast and Furious. It just takes a while for it to work up the chain of command. The fact that Fox News has been reporting on it is probably a tip-off that it’s just BS like all those other scandals which he refuses to take action on.

Keep an eye on that sunburn.

Flash from Nixon’s past

From the Articles of Impeachment for Nixon:

The means used to implement this course of conduct or plan included one or more of the following:

  1. making false or misleading statements to lawfully authorized investigative officers and employees of the United States;
  2. withholding relevant and material evidence or information from lawfully authorized investigative officers and employees of the United States;
  3.   approving, condoning, acquiescing in, and counselling witnesses with respect to the giving of false or misleading statements to lawfully authorized investigative officers and employees of the United States and false or misleading testimony in duly instituted judicial and congressional proceedings;
  4.  interfering or endeavouring to interfere with the conduct of investigations by the Department of Justice of the United States, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the office of Watergate Special Prosecution Force, and Congressional Committees;
  5. approving, condoning, and acquiescing in, the surreptitious payment of substantial sums of money for the purpose of obtaining the silence or influencing the testimony of witnesses, potential witnesses or individuals who participated in such unlawful entry and other illegal activities;
  6. endeavouring to misuse the Central Intelligence Agency, an agency of the United States;
  7. disseminating information received from officers of the Department of Justice of the United States to subjects of investigations conducted by lawfully authorized investigative officers and employees of the United States, for the purpose of aiding and assisting such subjects in their attempts to avoid criminal liability;
  8. making or causing to be made false or misleading public statements for the purpose of deceiving the people of the United States into believing that a thorough and complete investigation had been conducted with respect to allegations of misconduct on the part of personnel of the executive branch of the United States and personnel of the Committee for the Re-election of the President, and that there was no involvement of such personnel in such misconduct: or
  9. endeavouring to cause prospective defendants, and individuals duly tried and convicted, to expect favoured treatment and consideration in return for their silence or false testimony, or rewarding individuals for their silence or false testimony.

In all of this, Richard M. Nixon has acted in a manner contrary to his trust as President and subversive of constitutional government, to the great prejudice of the cause of law and justice and to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.

Wherefore Richard M. Nixon, by such conduct, warrants impeachment and trial, and removal from office.

Par for Obama’s course

Even some MSNBC hosts were having a laugh over IRS explanations.

John Koskinen told a hearing that:
“We are not going to dribble out the information and have it played out in the press.”

Don’t accuse the IRS of dribbling!

The IRS, Koskinen had told them earlier, hasn’t even had the funds to move all its employees from Windows XP, which is no longer generally supported by Microsoft, to Windows 7.

The IRS said in a statement that it has gone to great lengths cooperating with congressional investigations, spending nearly $10 million to produce more than 750,000 documents.

Famous quote

I’m never surprised by controversies that are whipped up in Washington…. alright? That’s par for the course.” – Obama

Did CIA’s Mike Morell Lie Under Oath About Changing the Benghazi Talking Points?

April 2, 2014

After former acting CIA Director Mike Morell testified to the House Intelligence Committee that he is the one who changed the Benghazi talking points, Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) renewed her call for a select committee to investigate the attack. She suggested that Morell either lied to senators shortly after the attack, or lied during his testimony today.

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn’t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier.

‘The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,’ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline.

She blamed the Obama administration for failing to stop half of a $1 billion United Arab Emirates arms shipment from reaching al-Qaeda-linked militants.

‘Remember, these weapons that came into Benghazi were permitted to enter by our armed forces who were blockading the approaches from air and sea,’ Lopez claimed. ‘They were permitted to come in. … [They] knew these weapons were coming in, and that was allowed..

‘The intelligence community was part of that, the Department of State was part of that, and certainly that means that the top leadership of the United States, our national security leadership, and potentially Congress – if they were briefed on this – also knew about this.’

The weapons were intended for Gaddafi but allowed by the U.S. to flow to his Islamist opposition.

Hillary Clinton Cancels Appearance Where Benghazi Victim’s Mom, Protestors Await

April 4, 2014

Hillary Clinton was the planned keynote speaker at the 17th Annual Western Healthcare Leadership Academy in San Diego on April 11 – but she’s cancelled her visit in the midst of planned protests from San Diego locals and military families.

Protestors organized by “The Difference Matters” do not want the former U.S. Secretary of State to come because of Clinton’s role in the Benghazi scandal.

What difference, at this point, does it make?”

Lois Lerner, IRS and the Hatch Act

Hatch Act and Political Activities

The Hatch Act limits certain political activities of Federal employees both on and off duty. (Members of the Senior Executive Service, are subject to further restrictions and should contact the General Counsel’s office for additional guidance.) Violations of the Hatch Act may result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal. The term “political activity” means doing something in active support of or opposition to a political party, a candidate for partisan political office (e.g., President, senator, representative, state or local legislature or office), or a partisan political group (e.g., “Historians for Smith”). Examples of political activity that would violate the Hatch Act if done while on duty or using Government property include: circulating a candidate’s nominating petition within your office; using the PC in your office after work to produce a brochure in support of a candidate’s campaign; sending e-mail invitations to campaign events to friends within the agency; and using National Archives’ Internet connections to forward e-mail messages received from a partisan campaign or someone supporting a partisan candidate. Permissible political activity under the Hatch Act would include voting for the candidates of your choice; expressing opinions about candidates and issues; assisting in voter registration drives.

For a more comprehensive view of what the Hatch Act allows and disallows, please review the list of Hatch Act Do’s and Don’ts shown below. Questions concerning the Hatch Act may be directed to Christopher Runkel, Office of General Counsel.

Here is a list of don’ts :

· Engage in political activity while on duty
· Engage in political activity while wearing an official Government uniform or identifying National Archives insignia
· Engage in political activity while using a Government vehicle
· Engage in political activity in any Government office
· Engage in political activity while using Government property, including computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, and telephones
· Wear political buttons while on duty
· Display items (e.g., posters, signs, stickers) at work that indicate support of or opposition to a political party or a candidate in a partisan election
· Run as a candidate for public office in any partisan election, except in jurisdictions specified by OPM
· Solicit, accept, or receive political contributions (except in limited circumstances involving certain Federal labor or employee organizations)
· Solicit, accept, or receive political contributions from a subordinate employee
· Allow your official title to be used in connection with fund raising activities
· Host a fund raiser at your home
· Use your official authority or influence to interfere with an election
· Knowingly solicit or discourage the political activity of any person who has business before the National Archives

I haven’t heard anyone mention it. From the beginning, conservative groups were targeted — now we know systematically.

GOP says IRS’ Lois Lerner targeted Crossroads

By RACHAEL BADE | 4/9/14 | Politico

House Republicans on Wednesday accused former IRS official Lois Lerner of breaking agency rules by aggressively urging denial of tax-exempt status to Crossroads GPS, the giant political nonprofit founded by Karl Rove.

The House Ways and Means Committee released emails showing the former chief of the tax-exempt unit took a special interest in Crossroads GPS in early 2013 — inquiring with IRS officials why they hadn’t been audited. Around the same time an email suggested she might be applying for a job with a pro-President Barack Obama group, Organizing For Action, though it is unclear if she was joking.

Democrats decried the release, calling it an election year gimmick to win over the party’s political base. One campaign finance group came to the defense of Lerner, who has denied any wrongdoing, calling the probe a partisan witch hunt.

The Republican committee letter calls her actions an “aggressive and improper pursuit of Crossroads… but no evidence [that] she directed review of similarly situated left-leaning groups.”

The documents were released after a rare, closed-door Ways and Means markup, where the panel voted 23-14 along party lines to send a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, requesting he take the former head of the IRS tax-exempt division to court — though the department already has an ongoing investigation….

Feinstein’s hypocrisy on target, on schedule

Democrats kill amendment that would have forbidden Tea Party targeting by IRS

John | March 7, 2014 | Tavern Keepers

We have been reporting for a while now that Ted Cruz had put forth an amendment to rectify current issues with the IRS and the targeting of conservative groups. The language would have been as follows:
“(a) Offense. — It shall be unlawful for any officer of the Internal Revenue Service to, regardless of whether the officer or employee is acting under the color of law, willfully act with the intent to injure, oppress, threaten, intimidate or single out and subject to undue scrutiny for purposes of harassment any person or organization of any state –
“(1) based solely or primarily on the political, economic or social positions held or expressed by the person or organization; or
“2) because the person or organization has expressed a particular political, economic, or social position using any words of writing allowed by law.”
As you can see it not only would have protected Tea Party groups, but any group that might come under assault for their beliefs. Unfortunately Liberty Unyielding is reporting that the Democrats, who control the Senate, used their power to kill the amendment. Per the usual strategy, those doing the dirty work are not up for reelection this year so they have plenty of time for the populace to forget their assault on freedom. Here is the list of shame:
Patrick Leahy of Vermont
Dianne Feinstein of California
Charles Schumer of New York
Richard Durbin of Illinois
Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island
Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken of Minnesota
Chris Coons of Delaware
Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut
Mazie Hirono of Hawaii
So, the Democrats want to make sure that the IRS can continue to be used as a tool of political destruction. Of course, if the Republicans had controlled the Senate the vote would have probably have been similar just with different names. Neither side wants to give up that kind of power. Reason number (really big number goes here) that we should abolish the IRS and implement something that doesn’t resemble the East German Stasi circa 1950’s.
Article Source: http://libertyunyielding.com/2014/03/06/cynical-dems-kill-bill-prohibiting-irs-political-favoritism/

Just another nail in the coffin of freedom. Meanwhile, when it’s their Senatorial committee being spied on by the CIA, that’s some serious stuff. Can’t have that. There are laws! But people exercising their God-given rights of speech, dot Gov can suppress that any way they can — what’s the problem? Trot out the Constitution in defense of big-government.

“I have grave concerns that the CIA search may well have violated the separation of powers principles,” Feinstein said on the Senate floor. “I am not taking it lightly.”

Who cares about the IRS targeting people, but the ruling class can’t be spied on. I guess that law is, “No one but no one shall gore our Ox.”

(LA Times)”At some point during their work, Senate staff members gained access to the draft of an internal review the CIA had done of the interrogations. Senators say that internal review, which remains classified, was far more critical of the CIA than the agency’s official responses to their questions had been.CIA officials say the Senate aides were never supposed to have access to the draft, which they claim is covered by executive privilege. They began to investigate how the committee staff members had gained access to it.”

In fact, Dems will run interference for the IRS scandal. Sickening really.

Debbie’s DNC Freakshow

For people that have never seen one, this is what a freak-sideshow performance looks like. And its almost as believable.

The moonbat express is definitely on the road, destinations unknown. You never know where it will show up next.

What can you gather from that performance (besides rehearsed)? She, Debbie Wasserman Schultz was stunned? I bet it takes plenty to stun ol’ Debbie.

The IRS Investigation “has been resolved”. “It is a settled matter”.(that would be news)

“Politicize the issue”? IRS politicized it just fine. Isn’t that what caused the IRS mess?

“Bear hug? Shout out to Debbie for trying to be original. But they bear hugged dictators for years – radical Marxists can’t help themselves.

Obstructionism, please, from the pros. Too bad we didn’t obstruct their agenda.
Well, she tried.

“Not a Smidgeon…” let us count the ways

Obama did it again, spouting clear falsehoods — known in most places as lies. But then compared to Benghazi and then Obamacare’s sales pitch, maybe he thought this was just a minor non-truth lie. The rancid “phony scandal” material just keeps on oozing out, like toxic waste, from this administration. (thanks to Dave for the info)

The Bastid in Chief was unequivocal in telling O’Reilly on Super Bowl Sunday:

“President Barack Obama again denied any wrongdoing by the IRS over their targeting of conservative tea party groups, telling Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly there was “not even a smidgen of corruption” in the way the tax enforcer processed tea partiers’ 501(c)4 paperwork.”

Time to make the donuts …and the stories. Those crickets chirping about that claim in media could not be louder. Right, it’s only Fox driving the ‘phony scandal’. Wow, Fox must be awfully good to have set all this up. Maybe MSM will tell us that story how Fox concocted and promoted all this stuff?

IRS smoking gun awakens sleeping giant

‘Fox isn’t guarding henhouse. Fox has set up the deep fryer’
by Bob Unruh | WND Exclusive

A member of Congress is warning that it’s time to “prosecute” the IRS, and a top-flight legal team is planning an investigation – with the possibility of a request for congressional hearings – after discovering from a WND report that the IRS sends small exempt organizations to a major progressive think tank to have tax details processed.
“We’re going to be conducting an investigation,” said attorney Kevin Snider of the Pacific Justice Institute. “If there’s something that’s questionable, we’re going to ask for congressional hearings.”
He said the government needs to have a standard “above reproach” and exhibiting “complete neutrality” for its operations, especially in work such as that conducted by the IRS, which already has been facing criticism for its admitted targeting of conservative organizations.
The warning about a prosecution came from Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., who said, “WND did the investigation the IRS refused to do.”
“The IRS fox isn’t guarding the henhouse,” she said, “The IRS fox has set up the deep fryer for immediate carcass processing! Served ‘progressive style’!”
She continued, “The people to Holder: Time to prosecute!”
WND’s report revealed the IRS contracts with an avowedly “progressive” organization, the Urban Institute, supported by George Soros to process data filed by smaller tax-exempt groups.
The president of Urban Institute, also, is Sarah Rosen Wartell, who is the co-founder of the Center for American Progress. That widely is considered ground zero for the development of many of the Obama administration’s progressive policies.
For certain organizations with limited income and charitable goals, the IRS directs them to file with that supposedly “nonpartisan” organization, where employees have a record of donating nearly 100 percent of their political contributions to Democrats.
Officially, the Urban Institute advocates for totally socialized medicine, carbon taxes and amnesty for illegal aliens.
Cleta Mitchell, a top-flight Washington attorney, told WND, “If true, this is a violation of federal law. And since most of the tea-party groups have annual revenues of [$50,k000] or less, this would redirect their filings to a group whose mission is fundamentally at odds with tea-party organizations.”
She continued, “Federal law strictly prohibits the disclosure of confidential taxpayer information to persons outside the IRS. It is a felony to disseminate the information.
“Surely this cannot be happening. Surely,” she said. “This would be well more than a ‘smidgen’ of corruption.” …/

How about a pant load of corruption…. make that a boat load? But don’t expect the lamestream to cover the “phony scandal” without “a smidgeon of corruption”– so says the king, who’s chief political hack said Government is so big and vast Barry couldn’t possibly know what’s going on. Who could keep up with all that…corruption?

Yet he made the bold claim, “not a smidgeon”, putting it all on the line — what’s left of it.

Just like Clinton stood wagging his finger saying “I did not have sexual relations with that woman”. Just like Robert Torricelli pounded the podium denying corruption; just like that pile of cash found its way into William Jefferson’s freezer; just like Anthony Weiner said his on-line account was hacked.

Funny how the American people always draw the wrong conclusions about those odd circumstances.(sarcasm) Oh, and just like Obama now says that he clearly called Benghazi terrorism the morning after — but never did — before they went out blaming the video. Ooooooh that smell, can’t you smell that smell?

The really sad thing is that anyone in the world could believe him. Remember the blockbuster musical the Lion King? Well, this is the saga of “The Lying King”.

A big H/T to Dave for forwarding the article.

President Bambi, Legislator-in-Chief, Suffers Setback on Illegal IRS Rules

A spec of sanity surfaces in DC.

pundit from another planet

king-obama “The  IRS  may not unilaterally expand its authority through such an expansive, atextual, and ahistorical reading of” the law. The Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit used these words in a Feb. 11 ruling that struck down an  Obama administration  regulation on tax preparers.

Federal judges should copy this phrase and be ready to paste it into rulings — sometimes replacing “IRS” with “Health and Human Services” — as President Obama continues to act as legislator in chief, making and amending laws as he sees fit, separation of powers be damned.

In the same week Obama illegally delayed the employer mandate and out of thin air created a bizarre loyalty oath to administer to companies suffering from Obamacare, a federal court unanimously smacked down his IRS for executive overreach.
