Buchanan unchained and off the rails

Buchanan demonstrates the fallacy of academia’s thinking. Iran is not as bad as you think, while Israel is a danger to diplomacy. Not to over simplify it.

So the elite intellectuals know better than everyone else. What could go wrong? Well, his book is probably hundreds of pages more of the same cliff notes displayed here.

Here’s a good report on the back and forth at Newsmax.

Occupation of hating Israel

Barack Obama’s top aide says Israeli ‘occupation’ must end

Dennis McDonough says the White House isn’t impressed with Israeli prime minister’s effort to backtrack on campaign comments.

By Edward-Isaac Dovere — 3/23/15 | Politico

White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough made clear in a speech to a left-leaning Israel advocacy group that President Barack Obama isn’t letting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu off the hook for his dismissal of a two-state solution.

That stance, as well as Netanyahu’s suggestion also made in the closing days before last week’s Israeli elections that he’d approved settlements in contested territory in Jerusalem for the strategic purpose of changing the borders are “so very troubling,” McDonough told J Street’s annual conference in Washington. He called the pro-Israel group, which opposes some of Netanyahu’s policies, “our partner.”

“We cannot simply pretend that these comments were never made,” McDonough said.

“An occupation that has lasted more than 50 years must end,” McDonough said, one of several times he brought the crowd to its feet.

Let’s put it this way, anyone or thing that opposes Netanyahu or Israel they’ll call “our partner”. But, as usual, it is worse than that. McDonough also referenced the BDS movement. (dominated by his Leftist base.) And as noted, he gets applause for using the tag line “occupation”. Or as Joseph Farah points out in his column:

Yes, I’ll say it: Obama is anti-Semitic

(Editor’s note: Joseph Farah wrote this column before the Obama administration betrayed Israel in the most shocking way by revealing classified information about its nuclear program.)

What’s that old adage?

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck.

Oh its a duck alright. What follows in his piece is an indictment of the Obama administration’s anti-Semitic behavior. So deeper than the dust up between Netanyahu, it is downright bigotry and hatred toward Israel. Then Obama and his cohorts have the nerve to act like they are an ally or friends with Israel?

Item #3 — How does Obama spell revenge?

US Declassifies Document Revealing Israel’s Nuclear Program

Obama revenge for Netanyahu’s Congress talk? 1987 report on Israel’s top secret nuclear program released in unprecedented move.
By Ari Yashar, Matt Wanderman — 3/25/2015 | Israel National News

In a development that has largely been missed by mainstream media, the Pentagon early last month quietly declassified a Department of Defense top-secret document detailing Israel’s nuclear program, a highly covert topic that Israel has never formally announced to avoid a regional nuclear arms race, and which the US until now has respected by remaining silent.[…/]

It will be interesting to see how the Obamafiles explain that one away. Hardly just a tiff with Netanyahu. They aren’t even trying to hide it. Or, as Obama’s White House would point out: if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, it must be a microwave oven.

The Obama anti-Israel agenda

Remember all those statements(let’s say lies) how relations with Israel have never been better and Israel has never had a better ally or friend than Obama’s administration? Well, someone has chronicled a list showing the truth in a timeline.

We knew Obama’s bitter hatred went beyond Netanyahu to Israel itself. We knew but his puppet media played along and sang the song of no better friend to Israel than Obama. Any sane-thinking person knew that was a lie.

But if you keep repeating that line, some maybe not all will believe you. All he needed was that loyal some who would repeat that mantra. While at the same time being in bed with the BDS movement and the anti-Semitism rampant on the left. That never stopped them from claiming the contrary at every opportunity. It worked: they can be Israel haters while claiming they are its best buds. It really is a schizophrenic thing.

A Complete Timeline of Obama’s Anti-Israel Hatred

by Ben Shapiro20 Mar 2015 | Brietbart

On Thursday, the press announced that the Obama administration would fully consider abandoning Israel in international bodies like the United Nations.

According to reports, President Obama finally called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to congratulate him – but the “congratulations” was actually a lecture directed at forcing Netanyahu to surrender to the terrorist Palestinian regime.

For some odd reason, many in the media and Congress reacted with surprise to Obama’s supposedly sudden turn on Israel. The media, in an attempt to defend Obama’s radicalism, pretend that Netanyahu’s comments in the late stages of his campaign prompted Obama’s anti-Israel action.

But, in truth, this is the culmination of a longtime Obama policy of destroying the US-Israel relationship; Obama has spent his entire life surrounded by haters of Israel, from former Palestine Liberation Organization spokesman Rashid Khalidi to former Jimmy Carter National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, pro-Hamas negotiator Robert Malley to UN Ambassador Samantha Power (who once suggested using American troops to guard Palestinians from Israelis), Jeremiah Wright (who said “Them Jews ain’t going to let him talk to me”) to Professor Derrick Bell (“Jewish neoconservative racists…are undermining blacks in every way they can”). Here is a concise timeline, with credit to Dan Senor and the editors of Commentary:

See the list, it’s like exhibit A of a rebuttal to their claims. But lying has always been second nature to Obama. (or first nature) It is great when you can say one thing while doing the exact opposite. No better friends, never been closer? Sorry, I want to barf.

Now he turns to disengage with that alliance with Israel in the UN, or basically wherever it still matters. Yet people are supposed to accept his sophistry and specious reasoning as verifiable. Well, it could be certifiable behavior. Still the Left follows him like robots.

He was only looking for an opportunity to justify his actions, so he used Bibi and his speech.(never let a crisis/speech go to waste) Except his actions are aimed at Israel. Netanyahu is just a convenient excuse. Maybe he should thank Bibi for being a scapegoat for his plans?

Adding insult to the injury, what has that position got us: more respect, more friends? No. The other countries hate us just as much, or possibly more because now they see friction between us and Israel. They see conflict, disagreement, distrust, bitterness, resentment and hatred — fruits of a love gone bad . Team Obama wears that on their sleeve. Every step or move Obama makes, he must make the one against Israel.

Worse yet, up until now he hasn’t shown his full hatred. He conceals it like Hillary does her records, but it is on display for all to see. Now he is just making the separation official, as in filing the divorce papers. It’s all there.

Speak up, if you are a Leftocrat or theocrat ruler

First we had Ahmadinejad come to speak at Columbia University. That went over well, if you were a Leftist academic that is. They seemed to enjoy that. They hailed it as a great day for freedom of speech.

“It should never be thought that merely to listen to ideas we deplore in any way implies our endorsement of those ideas…

It is a critical premise of freedom of speech that we do not honor the dishonorable when we open the public forum to their voices. To hold otherwise would make vigorous debate impossible.”– Lee C. Bollinger

Then along came Netanyahu speaking at Congress and the Left booed & hissed about that. Pelosi turned her back to Bibi. Congress writes a letter to Tehran telling them how our system works, so the Left cried foul again and Obama’s White House called it unhelpful meddling. Some called it treasonous. What right did Congress have to do that?

Ali Khamenei writes a letter to our youth back in January that the Left made no fuss over. Two months later, Obama gives an oration to the people of Iran. I’m sure the Left has no criticism for it either. (not a Cairo Speech but they’ll take whatever Obama shovels out) Since Obama’s favorite audience is young people, we know his Tehran tribute was mainly aimed at young people in Iran.

Obama would do well to talk to the leaders in the country that rule with an iron hand. But now he opts for a conversation with young people, even though he ignored them years ago in their uprising. At this point the Iranians are trying to figure out if this is live or just a very delayed response to their earlier pleas. Maybe since Ali Khamenei took the time to write such a thoughtful, inspiring letter to our youth Obama felt inclined to reciprocate?

So we do seem to have this back and forth. But it is only ‘not helpful’ when anyone on the right speaks out. Funny how the subject of his speech was “speaking out” about the “future”. Why that seems to only apply to Liberals, I don’t know? If you are a conservative, “shut up, you have no right to speak on/to that”. If you are a diehard Leftist, your voice is always welcomed even needed. It’s called a double standard, something the left loves. (call it the Hillary or Obama standard)

With all Liberal “dialogue,” as they call it, it never matters if any good comes of it. It is speech. If it is from the Right or conservatives, “hold your horses.” It is wrong-based and wrong-headed. As Heiress in waiting, no doubt Hillary has her watchful eye on this back and forth. In fact, we know because she lampooned Republicans for sending their letter in her speech. That came spontaneously, not like the Keystone Pipeline or anything — not even a Hard Choice. That her response came while she was also trying to explain her Servergate fiasco was purely coincidental. (wink)

Hillary: Republicans were either trying to help the Iranians or hurt President Barack Obama. (Maureen Dowd replied to Hillary with an open letter of her own.)

This freedom of speech is very tricky, even hazardous. I hope maybe Obama can issue one of his necessary Executive edicts to clarify it. That would be ever so helpful.

Speak up and forever hold the peace

Obama said in a message to the Iranian people:

“We have to speak up for the future we seek”

What a bunch of nonsense, which is typical of Obamaspeak. Then he usually gets praised for excellent delivery. Too bad he couldn’t hear any applause from Tehran.

Straw man alert:

“The days and weeks ahead will be critical. Our negotiations have made progress, but gaps remain. And there are people, in both our countries and beyond, who oppose a diplomatic resolution. My message to you—the people of Iran—is that, together, we have to speak up for the future we seek.”

Who are all these people who are against a “diplomatic resolution”? People are opposed to failure. They are opposed to something that doesn’t work. They are opposed to giving away the store. They are opposed to a policy of containment that won’t work But they are not opposed to a diplomatic resolution. But what diplomatic resolution would not include congress? Diplomacy? And they are not opposed to a deal. As long as it is one that works.

But of course he is talking about “diplomacy” with a theocracy and dictatorship waiting for the Mahdi or 12th Imam. An ideology whose duty is to usher in and speed that age through violent jihad and terrorism.

BTW: Can anyone point out the difference between what Russia(Putin) is doing and what Iran is doing? It is the same thing different regions. Russia has invaded Ukraine on the auspices that they were invited there to stabilize it. Iran invaded Iraq under the guise of pushing back ISIS and calming things down. Both have ulterior motives. Both insist it was invited in as a good neighbor. Each believes it is justified in its expansionist motives.

Furthermore, what do the Iranian people have to do or say about the nuclear program? Right, it’s a democratic nuclear program. Petitions, phone calls, and letters to follow.

It’s Springtime in Iran. “Peace in our time.” Watch and listen to this video.

Neville Chamberlain 1938, after Munich Conference: “I believe it is “peace for our time.””

So people wrongly oppose a diplomatic resolution?

Please don’t Judas me

Speaker Boehner made a weekly press release tied to the “destructive” comments from Obama’s adviser, the notorious Susan Rice.

“The president’s national security advisor says it’s destructive for the prime minister of Israel to address the United States Congress. I couldn’t disagree more,” Boehner said.

“The American people and both parties in Congress have always stood with Israel and nothing, and no one, could get in the way.” – Jerusalem Post

Well, that is no One but Obama and until now! Nothing but nothing will get in Obama’s way of talking with Iran though — even if it is destructive to everything else, and all other relationships. They are almost possessed by that.

Several Democrats have said they will skip the speech. Some said, like Obama, that it is inappropriate for Netanyahu to address the US Congress just two weeks before Israeli elections. Others said they do not want a foreign leader weighing in on US foreign affairs. – More> Jerusalem Post

Rice decries politics of Bibi’s visit

You can file this under ‘you have got to be kidding me’. Sure enough, with Susan Rice that seems to be her theme.

(Rice interview with Charlie Rose)

Well, it is the Dems who have spun this up into a political frenzy. But of course having so many Dems working behind the scenes for Netanyahu’s ouster doesn’t help their case.

Now they have a formal boycott in effect. They are politicizing the entire event. Even Biden says he will be away, unable to attend. (he’s traveling with a broad… er traveling abroad)

Rice: “We want the relationship between the United States and Israel to be unquestionably strong, immutable, regardless of political seasons in either country, regardless of which party may be in charge in either country. We’ve worked very hard to have that, and we will work very hard to maintain that.”

Worked very hard at that? She’s probably still peddling the video cause for Benghazi.

Does Susan Rice have any credibility on anything? Dems have played politics with Israel, and its security, for six years now. To say that the relationship has always been apolitical means she doesn’t understand the administration. Of course she understands, she just said that like their other lies and utterances which conflict with reality.

[on Iran] “They have enabled us to validate that they have, in fact, taken all the steps that they committed to take and that they’re in full compliance. That model will need to be sustained in any comprehensive agreement.”

Depends what they are in compliance with, doesn’t it? Validated! The irony is we have an administration and president that cannot be trusted any more than Iran, but who demands trust in making a nuclear deal with Iran. That’s specious logic. Sustained, really?

Dems in nuclear meltdown over Bibi. Now there’s a “comprehensive” disagreement.

To Bibi or not Bibi ?

Let’s talk a minute about political objectives and Netanyahu’s coming joint-session speech to Congress. So the White House suggests election politics are in play, possibly giving Bibi an upper hand. You really don’t have to look far for the hypocrisy with the left.

Now Biden signals that he will conveniently be traveling and won’t attend. There are countless Democrats now weighing their attendance on the tea leaves. Politics? It’s rife with politics on the Left, isn’t everything? In the midst of growing campaigns, mainly from Left wing activists, Dems are strategizing how to play to their anti-Israel base. Washington Democrat, Rep. Jim McDermott, will not attend.

There are lots of politics in play at the moment. Palestinians are geared up for a UN resolution against Israel. Coincidentally, there have also been demonstrations on campuses criticizing Israel. There is the BDS movement vying for its relevance, gathering support from college campuses and academia. Obama campaign operatives are working to oust Netanyahu. Now the Left calls politics/activism on Bibi’s speech to Congress. Really?

The objective is to get Bibi to back out of the speech over criticism. That would be a win from both the anti-Israel crowd and Netanyahu’s opponents. A win-win, as they say.

Consuls in U.S. warn: Israel’s friends fear Netanyahu’s speech to Congress will harm ties

There was the incidental pro-Palestine resolution on UC Davis campus and the fallout.

Former prime minister of Israel, Shimon Peres, voiced his disapproval for Bibi’s speech saying, “when the President of the United States asks him not to come before elections, he must respect that request.” Peres scheduled a speech/interview at a NY university just before our midterm elections.(a global leaders lecture on ISIS and Democracy) Evidently, election politics were not a problem then. There were no big political objections then from the White House either.

Jerusalem Post:

The [Bibi] speech has created a rift amongst Democrats, Politico reported. The lawmakers are torn between supporting Israel and supporting their president whose absence from Netanyahu’s speech has been long confirmed.

Pelosi: Members Won’t ‘Boycott’ Netanyahu Speech. But They Might Be too Busy to Go.

Reps. John Lewis and G.K. Butterfield will skip the address, and Pelosi noted that lawmakers have packed schedules.

Yes, those packed schedules — after midterm election campaigns. Busy, busy, busy.
‘Choose wisely, grasshopper.’ So who is really playing politics here?

Obama’s ‘ideology’ bandwagon running wild

Since the closest Obama will come to naming the Islamic terrorists is talking about “whatever ideology”, I’ll try to decipher some of his lofty linguistic perversion.

Allow me to remind him of the ideology that endorses wholesale slaughter, i.e. genocide, as a supreme “right”. His own ideology, which is only about 100 years in the making, but which is responsible for extinguishing over 50 million human lives and counting just in the last 40+ years. It’s now enshrined as a sacred fundamental “right”, and forces all people to swear on its altar of protecting the right to kill the unborn — using buzz words like “safe”.

He doesn’t even want babies to be born and believes in slaughtering and scorching them with saline baths in the womb. The ideology so extreme it doesn’t believe in providing measures in the event of a botched abortion. An ideology that celebrates the anniversary to “preserve” its butchery practice. Brain, meet scissors and vacuum hoses.

An ideology that claims to stand on the side of science, while boldly defying it on abortion. An ideology that believes in an “evolving, living Constitution” while devolving morality.

Or maybe the ideology which targets nuns on a mission to serve poor people. One that proudly lays bare the state’s right to target people for their “deeply held religious views,” persecute them, or lobbies to keep them from government service. One that believes America is lacking moral principles, but which attacks morality and values in every corner it can. One which stands truth on its head, and draws moral equivalences of its political opponents to tyrants, while it makes alliances with brutal regimes and tyrants.

Or we can talk about the ideology which attacks Israel as an occupier, and America as an enabler, while en masse it appeases regimes in their schemes against freedom.

The ideology that hurts and victimizes people, then claims to help them and uses them as political pawns to gain and retain power. Yet now Obama is talking about a “bankrupt” ideology. Really? Get off our “high horse”?

Terrorism 101

Palestinian Incitement, Attacks, Glorification

IPT News

November 18, 2014

The recent spike in Palestinian terrorist attacks targeting Israelis throughout the country occur amid growing incitement to violence and glorification of terrorism emanating from Palestinian Authority and Fatah officials and institutions. Tuesday’s heinous attack on a Jerusalem synagogue was the “direct result” of that campaign, said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Within hours, Palestinian social media featured images glorifying the bloody slaughter of Jews while they worshiped.

What follows is a list of recent attacks and examples of the incitement and glorification prominent in Palestinian social media outlets.

Most of the violence has centered in Jerusalem, as Palestinians continue to engage in rock throwing, Molotov cocktail attacks, and rioting in the capital and surrounding neighborhoods. The following section outlines major Palestinian terrorist attacks targeting Israelis in recent weeks.

  • November 18, 2014: Two Palestinian terrorists stormed a Jerusalem synagogue armed with a meat cleaver and a gun during morning prayer, killing four Israeli rabbis and seriously injuring at least eight other worshippers. Three victims, Moshe Twersky, Aryeh Kupinsky, and Kalman Levine were dual American-Israeli citizens, and one, Avraham Goldberg, was a British-Israeli national, according to Israeli police.
  • November 10, 2014: The IDF discovered an explosive device north of Jerusalem in the West Bank, between the Jewish communities of Psagot and Beit El.
  • November 10, 2014: Palestinian terrorists stab Israelis in separate incidents, killing a young woman and a soldier. In the first incident, a Palestinian man stabbed an Israeli soldier, Almog Shilony, in Tel Aviv who later succumbed to his injuries. Police arrested the suspect, 18 year-old Nur al-Din Abu Khashiyeh, from Nablus, who was staying in Israel illegally. Hours later, another Palestinian terrorist attacked Israelis with a knife, killing a young woman, Dalia Lemkus, after stabbing her in the neck and injuring two others at a bus stop in the West Bank community of Alon Shvut. Hamas identified the Alon Shvut attacker as Maher Hamdi al-Ashalmoun from Hebron, who was released previously as a security prisoner. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization later claimed responsibility for the attack.
  • November 10, 2014: An Arab-Israeli mob attacked a car with rocks in the town of Taibe and set it on fire. An Arab-Israeli, Majdi Baloum, rescued the victim by pulling him out of his car.
  • November 6, 2014: Bullets struck an Israeli police cruiser driving north of Ramallah. There were no reported injures and security personnel searched for the shooter.
  • November 5, 2014: A Palestinian terrorist rammed his car into a crowd of Israeli pedestrians in Jerusalem killing a Border Police officer, Jidan Assad, and injuring 14 other people. A 17-year-old student later died of his injuries. The terrorist, Ibrahim al-Acri, a Hamas operative, then crashed into another group of pedestrians and got out of his car and tried to attack more civilians with a metal bar. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack, referring to al-Acri as a “martyr” who conducted “a heroic operation.”
  • November 5, 2014: A Palestinian driver crashed into a group of IDF soldiers in the West Bank hours after a separate deadly vehicular attack in Jerusalem. One of the soldiers was wounded critically.
  • October 29, 2014: A Palestinian man shot American-Israeli Rabbi Yehuda Glick in front of Jerusalem’s Menachem Begin Heritage Center. The suspect was killed the following morning after Israeli counter-terrorism forces surrounded his house and were fired upon. Israeli police discovered evidence that the suspected terrorist was involved in the Glick shooting.
  • October 22, 2014: A suspected Hamas member crashed his car into a crowd of Israelis exiting the light rail station in Jerusalem, killing a three month-old American-Israeli girl, Chaya Zissel Braun, a woman from Ecuador, Karen Jemima Mosquera, and injuring eight others.

Attempts to goad Palestinians into a new intifada quickly evolved from the more routine mayhem (Molotov cocktails and rock throwing) to a more aggressive approach recently termed ‘car intifada.’ Art posted on Twitter urges more attacks be carried out. Among the examples:

These are the people Obama claims want peace. Abbas sends a letter to a terrorist’s family commending the perpetrator as a martyr. Obama draws a moral equivalence with that mentality? Notice Abbas has not gone out in a blaze of martyrdom himself.

What a way to spend the valuable resource of their youth.

Obama on synagogue terrorism

Obama made statement, written and verbal, on the attack in the synagogue.

The Jerusalem Post

“At this sensitive moment in Jerusalem,” the president said, “it is all the more important for Israeli and Palestinian leaders and ordinary citizens to work cooperatively together to lower tensions, reject violence, and seek a path forward towards peace.”

After releasing the written statement to the press, Obama also spoke on the attack, saying, “obviously, we condemn [it] in the strongest terms.”

“This is a tragedy for both nations, Israel and the United States,” Obama said “Too many Israelis have died. Too many Palestinians have died.

Jerusalem risks entering a “”spiral from which it is very difficult to emerge,” he added, noting patterns of violence he has witnessed across the Middle East as president. “The majority of Palestinians and Israelis overwhelmingly want peace.”

In an interview on CNN, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations Ron Prosor condemned the attack, warning against incitement and calls for days of rage across the territories.

“If you look at today, basically, ordinary Israelis cannot find a sanctuary in a synagogue,” Prosor said. “I have to tell the American people, and everyone else, Israel is on the front line in countering terrorism. “

“If you’re not with us today,” he said, “you’ll find terrorism on your doorstep tomorrow.”

More JPost

Just unbelievable how Obama broadens it out to deaths on both sides. Someone remind him the last time they performed an attack like this it was their opening salvo to their war. They supplied their own impetus to start it.

Where does Obama get off speaking for them (as everyone) wanting peace? He cannot make a simple statement of sympathy for Israelis and our own Americans killed. That’s disturbing.

He was emotionless and passionless when he said we condemn these attacks — and he read that. Then a moral equivalence? Prosor hit the right message.

Israel Warns of Iranian Sweet Talk; Says Nothing’s Changed

The international community is allowing the rise of ISIS to distract it from the far more dangerous prospect of a nuclear Iran, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz warned Wednesday. The comments followed his visit last week to the United States, where he met with senior State Department figures William Burns and Wendy Sherman.

“The Iranians are getting almost everything but giving almost nothing,” Steinitz told a Jerusalem news conference in which he expressed his belief that Iran is being far from truthful in its ongoing P5+1 nuclear talks. “Although it is important to defeat ISIS [Islamic State], if Iran gets nuclear weapons, it’s a different world for decades. This is the main threat to global security and should be the priority… I went [to Washington] concerned and I came back concerned,” Steinitz added. “I didn’t hear anything… that gave me hope.”

Protestors: ‘The Met Opera Glorifies Terrorism’

Protesters say ‘The Death of Klinghoffer’ justifies the 1985 murder of wheelchair-bound Jew Leon Klinghoffer

Israel Hayom reports:

The Met is scheduled to perform the opera between Oct. 20 and Nov. 15.

The opera deals with the death of Leon Klinghoffer, a Jewish passenger on the cruise ship Achille Lauro in 1985.

The ship was hijacked by Palestinian terrorists, who shot the wheelchair-bound Klinghoffer and threw him over board.

The opera’s critics say it justifies the killers’ actions and is prejudiced against Jews.

Supporters defend it on grounds of artistic freedom and claim it presents a thoughtful take on all sides.

Federal Employees Use Government Credit Cards at Casinos, Racetracks

Audit finds DOT has poor oversight over its travel card program
September 23, 2014 | Free Beacon
BY: Elizabeth Harrington

Department of Transportation (DOT) employees use government credit cards for cash advances at casinos and racetracks, according to a report by the Office of Inspector General (OIG).

Employees misused their government-issued travel cards in 2012, racking up $2.1 million in charges for personal items, and more than $180,000 in unauthorized cash advances while they were not on business trips.

The audit, released last week, examined the travel card program, which employees are authorized to use on hotels, transportation, and meals during government travel. The OIG found that the DOT does not have effective policies in place to prevent the government credit cards from being misused. In fact, the agency has no policy prohibiting employees from taking cash advances out at casinos.

Taqiyya , or basic Islamic lying

Your basic definition for starters:

Taqiyya — The word “Taqiyya” literally means: “Concealing, precaution, guarding.” It is employed in disguising one’s beliefs, intentions, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions or strategies. In practical terms it is manifested as dissimulation, lying, deceiving, vexing and confounding with the intention of deflecting attention, foiling or pre-emptive blocking. It is currently employed in fending off and neutralising any criticism of Islam or Muslims.

But then that does not begin to get at the nuanced roots of the application.

Taqqiya – An Tactic of Lying, Concealment

Islamists interpret their scripture to say that they are allowed to lie about the nature of Islam in order to further their political goals.
Mon, April 7, 2014 | The Clarion Project

Taqiyya is an idea of Islamic jurisprudence that has been redefined and appropriated by Islamists as part of their political strategy. This piece is not about use of the concept in mainstream theology.

Hard to define exactly, it has been variously translated as dissimulation, concealment, lying and diplomacy. Other words that are used are kitman and idtirar. These Arabic terms all have subtly different meanings.

Nevertheless they are used to describe the same overall strategy as practiced by Islamists: using deceit as a religious and political weapon.

It has been used by Islamists in a different context. Their interpretations of scripture say that they are allowed to lie about the nature of Islam in order to further their political goals, namely world conquest.

More at The Clarion Project

The next post will give some depth and background into this tactic or tradition. In view of the current events, its hard to know how this tactic might be employed. But does anyone notice the recent lying campaign Obama himself has been on over IS terrorists, and the nature of Islam with respect to the terrorism we see?

It seems like a perfect opportunity for those of the craft to employ useful techniques like this time-honored one. We’ve already seen the propaganda campaign by terrorists. This is an intrinsic part of Islam’s overall campaign. It deserves serious consideration.

When dealing with something of evil nature such as Islamic terrorism — just like Alinsky’s rules of radicals in politics — we must be aware of the techniques. How similar in nature are those two forces? I think the following post will be interesting and informative.

More to the Boo Cruz story

I was glad to see more about the Cruz story because the news about it had no context. It was just “Ted Cruz booed by Christians”. They didn’t even mention the name of the organization he was speaking to. It’s amazing that, even with Christians, it makes a difference what part or group he was talking to. I heard rumors only some were booers, and that some might have been Leftist plants there to go after Cruz intentionally. Neither would surprise me.

Cruz hecklers slammed as ‘useful idiots’ by pro-Israel Christian group

By T. Becket Adams | September 11, 2014 | Washington Examiner

The people who booed Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, at an event Wednesday evening are “useful idiots,” according to the executive director of Christians United for Israel, the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization.

At an event hosted by In Defense of Christians, a group dedicated to the protection of Christian communities in the Middle East, the Texas senator abruptly ended his speech when a small but vocal group of attendees booed him after he praised Israel.

On Thursday, Christians United for Israel’s David Brog told the Washington Examiner that the hecklers distract from the real crisis of religious persecution in the Middle East.

More http://washingtonexaminer.com/article/2553247?slideout=1

Hecklers distracted the focus or was that the intended focus?

Would they ever boo or go after a liberal speaker in a similar manner? Would they, say, shut down a pro-abortion speaker? I have seen Christians be respectful to a fault.

So who is this group anyway? Free Beacon and Breitbart report that:

“According to Alana Goodman, writing at the Washington Free Beacon, In Defense of Christians (IDC) was funded by a controversial Clinton donor that featured pro-Hezbollah and pro-Assad speakers.”

Clinton donor and Lebanese-Nigerian billionaire Gilbert Chagoury, who pledged $1 billion to the Clinton Global Initiative in 2009, reportedly provided funding for the IDC summit.

Chagoury, says the Free Beacon, also has backed Lebanese politician Michel Aoun, Hezbollah’s main Christian ally in the country, according to United States diplomatic cables published by WikiLeaks.

Well, golly gee! Sympathetic to Hebollah ?  Is this an audience you want to influence? So maybe Cruz needs to have his staff better screen who he speaks to, now that he is in the big leagues. So he better watch his back.  Now we have the case where the Left seems to be merely using and projecting the Christian label.  It looks more like a cauldron of activism.

Ebola and ISIS: a chronic comparison

What does Ebola have in common with ISIS?

The simple answer is Obama. But that is where the commonality ends. Both represent threats and catastrophic circumstances.

The talk about Ebola is the call and challenge to scale up the treatment of Ebola. In fact, from the Center for Disease control, they say it is not just a problem for African areas but a problem for the whole world. It demands a world-wide response. The World Health Organization is telling everyone it demands our response. See WHO video here.

CDC: “I wish every world leader could see what I have seen. Stopping this outbreak is more than any one nation can do,” Dr. Frieden says. “The sooner the world comes together to help West Africans the safer we all will be.”

“The window of opportunity to stop Ebola from spreading widely throughout Africa and becoming a global threat for years to come is closing, but it is not yet closed,” Dr. Frieden continued. “If the world takes the immediate steps– which are direct requests from the front lines of the outbreak and the Presidents of each country – we can still turn this around.”

Now even Obama is well out front recording a message to Africa about the severe threat of Ebola. “Stopping this disease won’t be easy but we know how to do it,” Obama said.
Washington Post reported:

The decision to involve the military in providing equipment and other assistance for international health workers in Africa comes after mounting calls from some unlikely groups — most prominently the international medical organization Doctors Without Borders — demonstrating to the White House the urgency of the issue. “And then it could be a serious danger to the United States,” Obama said.

“We’re going to have to get U.S. military assets just to set up, for example, isolation units and equipment there,” he said, “to provide security for public health workers surging from around the world.”

From Anthony Fauci, dir. of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the NIHealth: “We’re left with a situation where if, in fact, this thing smolders on and on, we know mutations will accumulate,” he said. “And that has its own set of problems. We’ve really got to get this thing shut off.”

However, why is it he cannot talk about ISIS or the spreading Islamic State the same way? They can ban or restrict travel in areas affected by Ebola, but not so much on those traveling to and from the Islamic State with the potential to spread this poisonous ideology. Don’t rush to rash decisions on traveling to and from Syria.

Of course, comparing one severe threat to another draws criticism, but why should it? They are similar in nature and affects. Both are a disease.

When you hear these officials run to the microphone announcing Ebola is a serious world problem demanding an immediate reaction, it is chilling. What about ISIS? A response to Ebola cannot come fast enough, on a scale large enough to suit the need. They say the Ebola outbreak is vastly underestimated, an “International public health emergency” and an “urgent” matter of international concern. It is “critical” that it receive labels, they say, so that we provide resources.

Can they even say genocide?

What about ISIS, is there not an equal responsibility there? On ISIS and their ‘black-flag plague’ consuming the Middle East, Obama said:

“People like this [ISIS] ultimately fail,” … “They fail, because the future is won by those who build and not destroy.”

Try that with Ebola.

That a way to rally them to the cause, Obama. Imagine he said the exact thing about Ebola, paraphrasing: “These diseases ultimately fail, sooner or later.” There would be outrage about any passively dismissive statement to real immediate results of a disease spiraling out of control, which knows no borders or boundaries. Yet here we are watching a 1400 yr-old campaign being revived, kick started, and growing rapidly.

All the officials compete demanding action against the Ebola outbreak, epidemic. Maybe Ebola is a diversion from another plague spreading globally? (a genocide) More hypocrisy? One demands immediate condemnation, resources and all our efforts. The other is just a “regional problem”. Try that with Ebola, they’d laugh you right out of the UN.

But there is anther big contrast. While the headchopper plague meanders through the Mid East under Islamic ideology, Christianity is working to feed the poor, purify drinking water, and treat the sick. The biggest enemies of Islamists are, you guessed it, Christians. Christians are trying to help a sick world, Islamists have a passion for slaughter and an agenda against Christians. They are executing people from the tip of Africa to Iran. Christians are trying to save peoples lives, even from Ebola.

In Gaza, Muslim terrorists indiscriminately fire missiles into Israel hoping to kill and injure as many as possible, saying ‘God willing’. It’s an industry. Israel defends its modest homeland and they cry “human rights abuses” by Israel, calling it heavy-handed. Ever tell a headchopper that? Ever tell Hamas that? Has humanity ever witnessed such twisted rationalizations under a guise of humanitarianism?. Yet ISIS cutting out giant swaths of land across borders makes no difference. Then they all lecture America that we must show restraint in the face of evil. Obama tells Israel to show restraint. Indeed, at home Obama complains it takes time, criticizing people for being too far ahead of where they are at.

Now could you apply that to the Ebola outbreak? I think not. Speed, responsibility, and resources are the watchwords for Ebola. Though I get a sick feeling the black-flag death cult could come right in behind Ebola killing thousands as brutally as they can. Or killing people the world is trying to save, from a threat it is trying to eradicate. Still we have this epidemic of compassion for a disease and what it is doing in countries most of us will never see. It causes people to be working non-stop on a vaccine to stop or prevent the carnage — plans being put in place, policies implemented.Time is of the essence to prevent the spread of death. On ISIS not so much. I hear advisers say take your time to come up with a plan.

The real problem of Obama on ISIS is also the extreme irony. What Obama has done thus far is barely equivalent to treating the symptoms rather than the disease. They want to treat the Ebola disease by a goal to eradicate it. Obama’s stated goal on ISIS is to shrink it to a “manageable problem”. The goal against Ebola is to eliminate the threat and disease – presumably kill it and prevent its return. It’s ironic that Christians and missionaries work toward eliminating the spread of Ebola. When it comes to ISIS, Obama sat on his hands observing its spread and now said he wants to shrink it into “a manageable problem”.(shrink the death toll?) After the Foley beheading, he lectured it was a political problem. True to form, he now is looking blame Congress for his policy on ISIS, in effect making it a political problem.

So I haven’t heard anyone make the case that Ebola is strictly a political problem, requiring a political solution. That would sound ridiculous. And apply all his other excuses on ISIS to Ebola and you come up with the same notion.

Could it be that the world is both not a large enough nor a small enough place to deal with either threat? Not large enough to have the resources to deal with such a heinous problem; not small enough to be able contain and mitigate them.

Today starts the official BS campaign on ISIS, speech to follow. The campaign on Ebola is under way. Maybe it’s easier to talk about a terrible disease ravaging borders in Africa, threatening the world. Much harder to talk about a plague of anti-human ideology spreading across borders like wildfire. I doubt he’ll discuss Ebola from the golf course.

ISIS is a Zionist Conspiracy

No, it is not a joke. But you knew it was coming from someone.

ISIS a Jewish Plot? Propaganda and Islamic Jihad

by Abigail R. Esman
Special to IPT News
August 22, 2014

It took her more than nine years of working in the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security, but Yasmina Haifi finally uncovered the secret truth about the Islamic State: It isn’t Islamic at all. Actually, it’s a Jewish plot.

Yes, really: that terrorist group formerly known as ISIS, responsible for acts of genocide in Iraq, for the beheading of American journalist James Foley, and for the murder of countless women and children in their war to establish a new Islamic Caliphate, Haifi revealed in a recent post on Twitter, is in fact a “preconceived idea from Zionists deliberately to make Islam look bad.”

And IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is not a Muslim terrorist, either. He’s an agent of Mossad.

This, of course, is pure conspiracy theory, ranking in egregiousness somewhere between the blood libel and the theory that Jews are responsible for the 9/11 attacks. And yet, astoundingly, Haifi is not alone in her belief: numerous Islamic and Islamist websites claim NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden possesses documents proving the US, Israel, and the UK conspired to create ISIS in order to preserve the Jewish state.

And that is good enough for Haifi. Although she was dismissed from her post at the ministry immediately following her statement, she maintained in a subsequent radio interview, “I’ve read articles about it. There is plenty of evidence linking Israel and ISIS.”

I wonder how much mileage that will get with truthers and the Left? Saying Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is an agent of Mossad may be a bit further than anyone would go though. And yes, when you think that someone like this is an isolated individual, you would be mistaken. They are out there.

How much following they gather will be interesting to find out. So naturally this conspiracy is backed and sanctioned by US. I guess we all missed that one. This is what evil does.

Iran downs Israeli drone

Iranian General Threatens Surprise Attack on Israel

IRGC general: Iran ‘will not give a diplomatic response’

August 26, 2014

Iranian military leaders on Tuesday vowed that Tehran would take military action against Israel in response to an alleged Israeli drone that was shot down in Iran on Sunday.

Iran “will not give a diplomatic response,” but will air its grievances with Israel on the “battlefield,” senior Iranian generals were quoted as saying on Tuesday.

“Our response to this aggression will not be diplomatic, we will retaliate in the battlefield, but will not necessarily announce it,” Brigadier General Hossein Salami, the Lieutenant Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) was quoted as saying during a ceremony on Tuesday meant to commemorate “martyred” Iranian military personnel.

“The enemy will see and understand it,” Salami was quoted as saying by the semi official Fars News Agency. “We never step back (in the confrontation) against the enemy. The Islamic Republic is powerful and is capable of confronting any power at any level and we never bring down the level of our goals.”

The threat of a surprise attack against Israel for its apparent attempts to send a spy drone into Tehran came just a day after Iranian government officials threatened to sue Israel in the International Criminal Court.

Iranian military leaders announced over the weekend that they had used a surface-to-air missile to shoot down a drone that it claimed was an Israeli-made Hermes 450 unmanned plane. The drone was allegedly on its way to the Natanz nuclear enrichment site, which is believed to be part of Iran’s clandestine attempts to build a nuclear weapon.

Truce deal between Israel & Gaza

Islamic Jihad: Truce Deal With Israel Next Monday

Terror group says an agreement will be signed at the end of the current ceasefire, confirms Israeli concessions.
By Ari Yashar | 8/15/2014 | Arutz Sheva

An Islamic Jihad spokesperson on Friday claimed that a truce deal with Israel will be signed as soon the current five-day ceasefire ends next Monday at midnight.

“We expect a complete truce agreement to be signed right as the five-day ceasefire ends. The delegation has made much progress in ending the siege and the offensive on Palestinians,” Yousef al-Hasayneh told the Palestinian Arab Ma’an News Agency.

Al-Hasayneh said that the current ceasefire extension was agreed to on Wednesday night to give the Egyptian intermediaries time to remove “technical issues” blocking a final agreement.

The Islamic Jihad terrorist confirmed numerous reports that the proposed truce deal would ease the blockade on Gaza, expand the naval fishing zone, and allow construction materials into the Hamas terror enclave. He also confirmed that discussion on the issue of a sea and airport in Gaza would be postponed for a month after the agreement.

While US President Barack Obama’s government has reportedly been pressuring Israel to agree to a truce deal, al-Hasayneh said “we, as the Islamic Jihad, are not interested in American sponsorship because we do not trust the United States, the partner of Israel, who supplies them with arms and money.”

In fact, Obama’s administration recently blocked a missile shipment to Israel according to a Wall Street Journal report on Wednesday night, and ordered greater scrutiny on future weapons transfers. /….

Right, construction materials and blockade changes and, supposedly, without disarming measures. But it is interesting to hear Gaza cannot continue with the war.

The statements come after Islamic Jihad second-in-command Ziad Nahala said Friday the war with Israel is “behind us,” adding “we have no choice but to reach a truce agreement.”

“The great destruction caused by the war obligates us to leave this (war) status,” said Nahala.

White House delaying Israel shipments

Obama’s ‘Unprecedented’ Support of Israel Includes Blocking Arms

Administration admits it is reviewing arms shipments to Israel during conflict

BY: Adam Kredo | Washington Free Beacon

The Obama administration confirmed on Thursday reports that it had, in an unusual move, proactively stepped in to hold up arms shipments to Israel for further review as the current conflict in the Gaza strip continues.

State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf confirmed to reporters the accuracy of reports published in both the United States and Israel revealing that the White House was subjecting to further review Israeli requests for ammunition shipments, which typically have not needed explicit White House approval.

The added reviews on the munitions shipments prompted accusations that the White House is punishing Israel and injecting partisan politics into a military process typically unaffected by diplomacy issues between the two allies.

Well, Obama and his anti-Israel politics at it again.
