Rhodes to NBC rescue

Former Obama Aide Ben Rhodes Joins MSNBC, NBC News as Political Contributor

BY: David Rutz | June 2, 2018 | Washington Free Beacon

Former top Barack Obama White House aide Ben Rhodes is joining MSNBC and NBC News as a political contributor.

MSNBC’s media relations team tweeted out the announcement Saturday, saying Rhodes would make his NBC debut on Sunday on “Meet The Press.”

Rhodes’ official title in the Obama administration was Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications, and he played key roles in numerous foreign policy decisions. He took heat in 2016 when he boasted in a New York Times profile of creating an “echo chamber” to sell the Iran nuclear deal and mocked Washington, D.C., reporters.

Who did not see that one coming? (wonder what the terms are?) Participate in a plot against elections and the US, and you get the analyst armchair at a major network. Right on the heels of Obama and Michele heading to Netflix, while Valerie Jarrett secured a seat on the board.

Reince suspends NBC February debate

So Priebus fires off a letter. Why didn’t he cancel it? That would be appropriate.

Mr. Andrew Lack
Chairman, NBC News
30 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, New York 10112
Dear Mr. Lack,
I write to inform you that pending further discussion between the Republican National Committee (RNC) and our presidential campaigns, we are suspending the partnership with NBC News for the Republican primary debate at the University of Houston on February 26, 2016. The RNC’s sole role in the primary debate process is to ensure that our candidates are given a full and fair opportunity to lay out their vision for America’s future. We simply cannot continue with NBC without full consultation with our campaigns.
The CNBC network is one of your media properties, and its handling of the debate was conducted in bad faith. We understand that NBC does not exercise full editorial control over CNBC’s journalistic approach. However, the network is an arm of your organization, and we need to ensure there is not a repeat performance.
CNBC billed the debate as one that would focus on “the key issues that matter to all voters—job growth, taxes, technology, retirement and the health of our national economy.” That was not the case. Before the debate, the candidates were promised an opening question on economic or financial matters. That was not the case. Candidates were promised that speaking time would be carefully monitored to ensure fairness. That was not the case. Questions were inaccurate or downright offensive. The first question directed to one of our candidates asked if he was running a comic book version of a presidential campaign, hardly in the spirit of how the debate was billed.
While debates are meant to include tough questions and contrast candidates’ visions and policies for the future of America, CNBC’s moderators engaged in a series of “gotcha” questions, petty and mean-spirited in tone, and designed to embarrass our candidates. What took place Wednesday night was not an attempt to give the American people a greater understanding of our candidates’ policies and ideas.
I have tremendous respect for the First Amendment and freedom of the press. However, I also expect the media to host a substantive debate on consequential issues important to Americans. CNBC did not.
While we are suspending our partnership with NBC News and its properties, we still fully intend to have a debate on that day, and will ensure that National Review remains part of it.
I will be working with our candidates to discuss how to move forward and will be in touch.
Sincerely,
Reince Priebus
Chairman, Republican National Committee

But then the RNC has proved to not be great negotiators, so what good is suspending it? And NBC will do as it pleases anyway, so what is this about? How about also suspending the deal-maker in chief at the RNC (unpaid leave) since he made it? I also read CNBC promoting the debate online to be on Economy, Taxation, with some Climate Change. I never saw that mentioned elsewhere.

“In two parts, the debate focused on the economy, taxes, the national budget and climate change”.- CNBC

Trump letter to CNN prez

What ad revenue, rates!? They should take him up on the offer, win win.
And if not, it will make them disliked even more.

NBC Pulls Trump Card

NBC plays the Trump card. Wasn’t that predictable?

In their disagreement with what Trump has said on the illegal invasion on the border, they terminated their business dealings with him. I bet the Left was applauding. I wonder what is in the contract, if there was one? They just prove they can break business ties on words they don’t like — whatever they find objectionable.

Their business deals must abolish the speech of anyone they deal with. Funny that working relationship has not affected Rev Al Sharpton’s mouth. Or maybe that is what they wanted when they hired him? Yet they refused responsibility and made a disclaimer for Williams’ words.

Change org’s petition was said:

“Please cancel Miss USA, Miss Universe and the Apprentice. You are supporting a hateful and narcissistic individual without any kind of values, both personal and business wise. Not only that, but you are supporting a growing trend of bigotry and division in this country.”

USA today says “Trump continues to deny he’s a bigot”.

But NBC should be careful of appeasing liberal left demands. What happens when it refuses to do what they or Univision wants? Well, when they find out it won’t be pretty. This was consequences for running, the statements were the excuse. It always seems free speech is a one way street with the left.

Along those terms, here’s the latest version: police crackdown on Ferguson riots violated the free speech of thugs and looters rioting. Hey, free speech must mean free stuff to the left. If that’s the case, seeing the way Obama’s been cracking down on conservatives we should be entitled to loot Fort Knox — if there is anything in it.

NBC takes a licking and keeps on clicking

What’s the bigger story: what happened in Charleston, SC or what is going on in NBC?

There can be no question which is more important, the shooting. However, what NBC is doing is a pretty big story. Meet the Press turned into Meet the Bias, even for liberals.

First, we have the reintroduction of Brian Williams into the MSNBC cable brand this week. But what Chuck Todd is doing doesn’t go under the radar either. We all know NBC is one of the media sycophants at Obama’s beckon call. So when Obama has an agenda to push — most of the time — they are atop his advocacy list to push his message… aka policy.

In the days after the shooting, Obama made very clear his desire to re-litigate the gun issue. Even though he said Congress was not willing, he repeatedly said he would not let it go. But we knew that. So when Obama said that the gun control issue needs help to becoming more urgently relevant, enter NBC. We can do that says Todd, no problem.

After his statement he traveled to Santa Monica, Ca to reiterate his passion for gun control saying “I need you to mobilize and organize a constituency.”

So Meet the Press unwinds a prepackaged special on guns from a prison inmate’s perspective. They all happened to be black. But plug it in because of the subject matter on guns. It should fill the void and be political fodder, right? It was a backfire as critics, mostly libs, attacked them for having interviewed only black inmates. Well, strike two. Race over gun control? They thought that throwing a generic disclosure on it to ‘pay no attention to the race factor’ at the beginning would suffice. It didn’t. Right, people looked right at the obvious color of the inmates and made it the issue, rather than guns. That’s what race-hustlers usually do too. Key in on race. So their disclosure didn’t work.

Also amusing is that MSNBC is the network of “prison TV,” as I call it, on weekends. Yet they wonder why their programing doesn’t attract enough viewers? So it was not much of a stretch for Prison TV LLC, to interview inmates on any subject.

Immediately after airing, Chuck had to go on defense of the piece saying “But the last thing we wanted was to cloud the discussion of the topic.” That much is true. They didn’t want to cloud the issue of gun control. They wanted to be straight-up, full-fledged advocates. (lobbyists if you will) And that would make Obama happy. Todd said, “I hope folks view the gun video as a part of the conversation we should all be having and not the totality of it.” Chuck explained it was “too important to put off for another week.”

Todd had said of the interviews:

“The circumstances you are about to see are very different from the racist violence in Charleston. In this case, in the [video] inmates are African-American that you’re going to hear from. But their lessons remain important.”

“And we simply ask you to look at this as a color-blind issue that’s about just simply gun violence.”

What rolled out was mass outrage at the racial bias of the piece — specifically at Chuck Todd — which superseded the gun control issue.

The result was that Tod and NBC ignited a brushfire. But they brought in the accelerant, matches, and the fuel. Plus for days they were dragging the Confederate flag into it on MSNBC. Maybe not the fire they were expecting with the blow-back.

So then it isn’t hard to believe that they also were not content with the unfolding story line in the shooting aftermath enough to try to stir up the public in Charleston. Not that the people didn’t already experience enough, NBC descended like a pack of wolves when they saw the situation was far too peaceful than it should be. No, the people need to be impassioned and fired up if it is to provoke any dialogue or political action. Obama himself said as much. (You don’t think NBC acts all by itself)

Obama in his early statement declared we have the “power to do something about it… but it’d be wrong for us not to acknowledge it.”

Considering the shooter’s racial motives indeed makes some strange bedfellows, MSNBC seems to subscribe to the same notion. They didn’t understand how people weren’t fired up for action, and marching over the shootings. So the slime-sucking carnival barkers of MSNBC couldn’t stand it. They want a story to cover. Something they can sink their teeth into and extort for all its political worth. One that plays into Obama’s agenda, beyond just the gun control one. So far they’re coming up empty. The Fuhrer will not be happy.

On Thursday, Obama wasted no time commenting on the Charleston shootings and his gun control agenda, admitting that once again he “doesn’t have all the facts”. But don’t let that stop him, it never has before.

“We don’t have all the facts, but we do know that, once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun,”

In California, Obama unleashed more specific and fiery rhetoric. At a fundraiser in Santa Monica, he told them “I need you to mobilize:

“If you’re dissatisfied that every few months we have a mass shooting in this country, killing innocent people, then I need you to mobilize and organize a constituency that says this is not normal and we are going to change it, and put pressure to elect people who insist on that change,” Obama said.

“We need a change in attitude. We have to move public opinion,” Obama said. “Ultimately Congress will follow the people,” he declared. Obama boldly stated:

“I refuse to act as if this is the new normal or to pretend that it’s simply sufficient to grieve and that any mention of us doing something to stop it is somehow politicizing the problem.

“We have to shift how we think about this issue and we have the capacity to change, but we have to build a sense of urgency about it.”

He added on his other favorite topic: “We don’t have to look far to see that racism and bigotry, hate and intolerance, are still all too alive in our world.” Obama pushes his dual-track agenda on lecturing, “We have to feel a sense of urgency.”

Rev. Manning calling out Al Sharpton

Standing on the street in front of the studios, he calls out Al.  Protesting under way.

Rev Manning calls Al out
No response from the race-baiter hustler. I guess there was nothing in it for him.
Sort of a role reversal, you know, the protestor being protested.

Paging Al Sharpton …. paging Al!

“Snitch pimp, hustler, rat”…

Manning tells him I’ll be back.

Media and WH follow the same script

The only plausible explanation for Brian Williams — soon to become a verb — is that those notable prior anchors had correspondent experience in war zones etc. Some for many years. Williams wanted to embellish his slim resume. So he did.

So how would it feel to go home over the weekend and learn your version of reality doesn’t exist – and never did? Obama must have had several of those experiences.

Actually, Susan Rice and Hillary had similar experiences. It even happened at the IRS.
Of course their credibility required the willing suspension of disbelief anyway.

Brian Williams excuse road tour

Now that everyone in the free world knows the blunder Brian Williams made, let me put it in context. He made an attempt to apologize.

At least one guy, Christopher Chabris, is hypothesizing for newsy Brian that it could be a case of “false memory”.

An analogy of Brian’s tale is this: the difference between experiencing the effects of a tornado, to surveying the damage ten minutes after it went through. There is a huge difference. One does remember that kind of distinction. To conflate one with the other is a false memory? There’s also a difference between landing and a “hard landing” as he claimed.

But it is curious how many others in the media come to his defense, volunteering to attest to his honesty, bravery, and gutsy character. Enter Dan Rather.

Brian is an honest, decent man, an excellent reporter and anchor–and a brave one. I can attest that — like his predecessor Tom Brokaw — he is a superb pro, and a gutsy one.”

Of course a “false memory” could be whether you turned the coffee pot off or locked the door before leaving. But this distinction is breathtaking. I really thought it was me face-jumping off that building. I would have soon remembered, correctly, that it wasn’t. Because if this were an honest mistake, it required also denying the truth.

I bet that Baghdad Bob was probably a professor of false memory. Hillary Clinton is probably one person who wished Williams wouldn’t have said that right now.

Liar’s club

I think Liar’s Anonymous just found a new poster boy.

Like: Hi, I’m Brian Williams and I’m a liar. Nah, that is more than he’ll admit.

Williams was telling a story that he was on a helicopter in Iraq that was hit by an RPG and forced to land. The story comes from 2003, but he just repeated it again Friday at an event for a hero.

Then caught, he claims he doesn’t know why he misremembered it in that way. Maybe he and Hillary should get together sometime and share war stories.

See this article at Stars and Stripes.

Kind of begs the question how much of NBC’s newscast is misrepresentation?

Obama doesn’t like Internet news sites

That’s okay… they aren’t fond of him either

So Chuck Todd reveals Obama hates the Internet news, particularly WND. Gee, I wonder why?

‘Obama hates Internet news media’

NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd says President Obama was making it “clear” at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner over the weekend how he feels about the rise of Internet news sites like Politico, Buzzfeed and … well, WND.

“He hates it.”

/…
In fact, Obama took several opportunities during the speech to mock Internet news sites for exploring stories the mainstream media largely joined the president in laughing off – including hard questions about his faith, economic philosophy and agenda.

“Look I get it,” Obama joked. “These days I look in the mirror, and I have to admit I’m not the strapping, young, Muslim socialist that I used to be.”

So he’s an older one now. Looks like Obama needs a pity party.

Chuck Todd is now the self-appointed spokesman for Obama. Well, Jay Carney has his hands full, so it’s so nice Chuck can help out a little…a lot. How about that, Obama hates something besides America.

Nothing like having a media guy go out in the media to drive home the point, in case the people had missed it.

But then when you have lamestream media carrying your propaganda and the lies about your political opponents, who needs the Internet news?

Audacity of an NBC loon

During a panel discussion on Wednesday’s NBC Today about hiring people to do Christmas chores like decorating the tree or buying gifts, the network’s chief medical editor Nancy Snyderman suddenly broke into an anti-religious rant:

“I don’t like the religion part. I think religion is what mucks the whole thing up….I think that’s what makes the holidays so stressful.”

http://www.mrctv.org/videos/nbc-medical-editor-denounces-religion-part-christmas-mucks-whole-thing

But what mucks up the leftist media?
