Right-Wrong Track, Impeachment Zone

Are people tuning out? Well, that would be my guess. I’m no expert on the subject but it seems disinterest is setting in. Impeachment fever has struck in Washington and stuck there. That’s all they care about now.

The rest of us have bigger concerns. We haven’t succumbed to the fever.

Meanwhile, Rasmussen’s daily approval poll is at 51% for President Trump. Good.

However, Rasmussen’s right track wrong track poll says only 37% of likely voters think the country is headed in the right direction. Looks like Dems, the Left and leftard media have taken us down from 42% in September 16th, who thought the country was heading in the right direction. But it was flirting with 35% in recent weeks.

I guess it shouldn’t take a brain scientist to see what is happening, but it is still confusing. What the hell do people expect when the president is enduring impeachment in Congress? Or, just maybe this impeachment sickness is what is taking the number down?

Whatever you think the reason is, I think it deserves to be much higher.

After all, the same poll had Obama in the mid to high 20’s during 2016. And that bid well for revolt territory. Are we not better than 10 points above that Obama hell?

Voters beware, someone is sucking the life blood out of this country. And it ain’t Trump.

Dangerous Has No Parallel: war by other means

Democrats (or progressives) have bequeathed us the most dangerous times. There are hardly any parallels. But if you did mention any, everyone would scramble to talk about that other time not this one.

It is a direct result of what Democrats have done and continue to do. We are careening toward a space that none of us should want to go. Yet Democrats are full speed ahead.

Two things serve as illustrations. The first is a complete reversal from the talk in 2016. When Republicans had an unprecedented array of candidates, we heard a drumbeat that no one could beat Hillary Clinton. They even had Bernie on the same par.

Until they did get a bright idea saying that, according to polls, the only guy who could beat Hillary and presumably Bernie was John Kasich. They told us he alone had the best chance of winning in 2016, even if he could not manage to win the primary.

How times change. Now in 2020, all the polls suspiciously show every top candidate on the left beating Trump. Is that a laugh? And coincidentally, the top Democrats have a 9 or 10 point lead. Where have I heard that before?

I think the left needs a different calculus though. Notice how they rank Democrats with Biden at the top and down the list — and he has a large lead over others. I’d like to see a completely different ranking considering the times. Why not rank them by threat level or who is the most dangerous? That would be useful.

For instance, one of their candidates is Inslee. Sure he is not one of the top contenders but he certainly has a dangerous factor. He is so green he can’t see straight and wants to abolish coal. Basically he wants the biggest war on energy we have seen yet. If it destroys America, they don’t care as long as they did it “green” it would be something to be proud of. Place your bets.

Bernie is a complete danger to everything else that makes America work. We don’t know exactly how he could and would do any of it. That leaves executive order as his only means. But he does have enough of a commie, socialist base to make him dangerous.

Biden, well, he is no stranger to selling out America. And he never had a foreign policy that worked. He could be a gift to China or N. Korea. And you know about their deal with Iran. Plus he would bring back all the same actors as we just got rid of in there. And Deep State would be rejuvenated. The myth that he has some understanding with blue collar working people is hilarious. Yet the media have sold that lie long enough.

The whole purpose of guys like Joe or the others is that they don’t want a great economy. Their goal is the opposite. And they want everyone begging at the door of federal government. Biden being some kind of uniter? Well that’s just not how any of this works.

Elizabeth Warren, if she doesn’t scare the hell out of every sane person, I don’t know what would. In fact, that is her whole gig, threats and intimidation. She wants everyone subservient to all-powerful government. That would be the best setup for pure socialism you could ask for.

Now Democrats have moved on again in their wish list of agenda items. Next up, let’s talk about reparations. While they are all out on the campaign trail talking about unity and healing divisions, they are all pushing the reparations train now. Nothing more unifying than that. A bloody civil war was not enough for these people.

How about reparations for the most racist institution in the last century, the DNC? It was actually built on racism.

If those primers aren’t enough to get your danger juices flowing, then there are Dems’ daily positions and reactions to hard current events as they happen, to give you a glimpse into their collective mindset. There is always the tried and true hate America plank of the party. The anti-American wing has eaten the entire party.

Shout out to the borderless and lawless agenda here. But it is not some small marginal group of the far left anymore. So the calls to abolish ICE weren’t enough of a clue? How about the cop killers that get radio silence from the party? Better yet, undermine any remaining control of the border – or its legal controlling authority. Not just against the wall, they are against any enforcement of our borders or our laws. And they take to the streets on a moments notice to protest our enforcement of law and order. Heck, they are organized in such a way as to facilitate and encourage illegal immigration. And they make no bones about the fact that they give illegals preference over law-abiding American citizens.

How about those sanctuary cities? Oh, I’m sorry, did I mean sanctuary states now? The main purpose of Democrats, more and more these days, seems to be to facilitate crime waves and defend the criminals and those who harbor them. Then blame any cause of it on bad America.

Might as go all the way, while they are at it. Onward to late term abortions right up to the delivery date. Let’s even put that up for grabs, just in case you did not avail yourself of killing the baby at first chance, try try again. Who can say no to that agenda anymore? Who could draw arbitrary lines on institutionalized baby killing?

Even that is not quite enough to quench the appetite for evil. What they need to do is get rid of the Hyde Amendment. There cannot be any room for a wall in our government against directly subsidizing killing babies. Better still; just remind us all that abortion is a pillar of our economy. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Hadn’t seen enough of this anti-American sideshow yet? Well there is great news for you, then. How about a basic war on the bill of rights? How about a war on freedom and religious speech? What are progressive values without that? It’s a great fundraiser too. That would eliminate half the problems in the country if they could just tear out the heart of freedom. The rest of the agenda would come a lot easier.

And take out the 2nd Amendment.

While they are all for resistance to this president, administration and legitimate election results; they are all about limiting any resistance to their agenda by any means necessary. Fill in the blanks there too numerous to mention. Just say nothing is off the table.

Most Americans Believe Media Is More Divisive

Poll: Majority of Americans Believe Media Is More Divisive than Trump

Western Journal

By Randy DeSoto
November 2, 2018

A new poll found that Americans believe the news media is more to blame for the nation’s current divisive political climate than President Donald Trump.

Sixty-four percent of respondents to the Politico/Morning Consult survey published on Thursday said the media have done more to divide the country, while 17 percent said they have done more to unite it.

By comparison, 56 percent felt Trump was more of a divider, and 30 percent thought he was more of a uniter.

The sentiments of those responding, unsurprisingly, fell along party lines.

The vast majority of Democrats, 88 percent, as well as 54 percent of independents, found Trump divisive. …/

More at https://www.westernjournal.com/poll-majority-americans-believe-media-divisive-trump/

Where were all these ‘Uniter or Divider’ polls under Obama? MIA. Then, both media and Obama were allied in dividing America along any lines they could. 8 long years of it.

Now Trump is the bad guy? He’s to blame for stuff long before he came to office.

Get you some of that media and CNN. Of course, like Obama, they are intentionally doing it. It is a central part of their national political strategy.

Media disapproval

How about that news media. What happened to media approval numbers? As much as they are critiquing Trump’s approval numbers, look at theirs.

But one message I took the liberty of interpreting was, those Democrats are even dumber than we thought.

To Gallup | August 25, 2017

First, the number,

Story Highlights

  • 14% of Republicans believe news media get the facts straight
  • 62% of Democrats agree
  • College-educated are most likely to find news media credible

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Just over a third of Americans (37%) in 2017 say news organizations generally get the facts straight, unchanged from the last time Gallup asked this question in 2003. But despite the apparent stability in U.S. adults’ perceptions of news media accuracy, major partisan shifts in beliefs on this topic have emerged over the past 14 years. Republicans’ trust in the media’s accuracy has fallen considerably, while Democrats’

The most recent findings come from two Gallup polls, conducted in March and July of this year and consisting of interviews with 1,810 adult Americans.

More http://news.gallup.com/poll/216320/republicans-democrats-views-media-accuracy-diverge.aspx

Compare that to 1998 when ” over half of both Republicans (52%) and Democrats (53%) believed news organizations generally got the facts straight.” And so college-educated are more likely to trust the news media.  Another whopper surprise. Democrats and college-educated, what’s that say for media cred? Pardon me, I smell swamp gas oozing.

Will pollsters also show me where we are supposed to believe media, after their reports on last election, while our approval for congress is in the basement? Nah, probably not.

After the polls and media coverage last year, it’s surprising anyone believes either. Right, Dems want to believe media, and the polls. That must be it. Just look at everything else they want to believe in. How are these polls stable from 2003 to now?

Doesn’t add up, except that there is even more overwhelming evidence of liberal media bias now, and how far they’ll go. They even admit taking a pass on criticizing Obama. All the more reasons for Dems to want to believe them. Democrats wanted to believe in everything Obama said too. So I think this is more about faith.

Media doesn’t like On Line polls

Fox News threw out this disclaimer denouncing online polls. In part:

Politico reports on Fox memo.

“As most of the publications themselves clearly state, the sample obviously can’t be representative of the electorate because they only reflect the views of those Internet users who have chosen to participate,” Dana Blanton, Fox News’s vice president of public-opinion research, wrote in the memo to the channel’s politics team.”

But then it is filled with irony. The MSM (which Fox is now flirting with) cannot fairly represent or reflect the electorate’s opinion on anything, because they are so far removed from public opinion. The self-serving media echo chamber thinks it supposedly represents public opinion.(same as politicians) It’s a non-stop editorial page.

It went on to say:

“News networks and other organizations go to great effort and rigor to conduct scientific polls — for good reason.”

“They know quick vote items posted on the web are nonsense, not true measures of public opinion.”

But there are no disclaimers about it. They assert that their news is unbiased when nothing is further from the truth. They don’t care and are quite proud of their bias. In other words, they substitute their editorial bias for public opinion and claim to speak for it.

Still, they all love to pick on and bash on line polls for their participation. Yet their own polls are hardly better. And their coverage is far from scientific method. The message, then, is “trust our certified bullshit. We work very hard at distorting and slanting the news.

Crooked pols and cooked polls

Cooked books and cooked polls, is there anything the left is not willing to do in pursuit of their agenda? No but it was rhetorical. Cooked numbers, cooked jobs reports, cooked economic data and information fed to media. Then there are the fact checkers trotted out to continue bolster their case on issues from Global Warming agenda to fracking and the war on coal or energy. Throw on top their cooked up speeches pandering to the greens, socialists, progressives. It all gives us a toxic soup of headlines, opinion and polls.

Media does their part. I have never seen the kind of bias agenda driven news as over the last months. Is it so hard to believe with all these weights on the scale that polls are reflecting their phony reality? Then media touts them as Hillary’s wide success. Well, with all that help it would be hard to believe she didn’t have some upswing. If, for instance, with all their effort Hillary’s numbers did not budge, then that would be hard to believe.

Probably among my worst observations of the effects of all this spin and manipulation comes from listening to random people. I hear the back-fed talking points of media coming from the mouths of regular Americans. And almost word for word I hear the views of the media and political elite regurgitated.

Last week there was a letter from a bunch of Democrats sent to Paul Ryan demanding he withdraw all support from Trump. This week, people are sending a letter to John McCain insisiting he withdraw all support from Trump. Folks, have you ever seen anything like this on this level? I urge people pull their support from Hillary, considering her record.Duh.

Maybe all this effort will have a reversed effect to consolidate support for Trump rather than erode it? I can’t be sure. But when a large percentage of people in this country are smeared, branded, marginalized and mocked, who knows what the results could be?

Now the latest offensive is Barack Obama’s rise in approval ratings. No one explains why his poll numbers should be up. But then because his approval numbers are up, that is supposed to be a glowing positive push for Hillary. Just because it is built on fabrication doesn’t make a great case for her foundation of lies.

Here’s another random observation. When have we heard this much official consternation about a President and access to the military codes and arsenal? I don’t ever remember it. All this is fear mongering about nukes in the hands of Trump. What about the likelihood of Iran or others getting nukes in the hands of Terrorists? Not so much.

Obama made his comments now, following Hillary’s, suggesting doubt Obama can be trusted with nuclear codes and repeating his distrust a day later. Now he is asked whether Trump can be trusted with the Nuclear weapons? He says people should really think about it. Hyperbole. However, we cannot trust Obama with an Executive Pen.

But then much of this election is not standard fare. Maybe that is because Trump is not a standard candidate and maybe it is because of the threat Trump really poses to the establishment status quo? You decide. But we are so far out of the universe of what is standard with the way everyone treats Trump. Hillary is the poster child for the establishment political elite — unfortunately, even for the estabo’s status quo.

Polls in cheesy state

So the heat is on in the cheese state, but that is not what you hear from media.

Cruz, Trump in dead heat in Wisconsin poll

 By Lisa Hagen —

Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are in a dead heat in Wisconsin just days before the state’s primary, according to a new poll.

A survey released Thursday by the left-leaning Public Policy Polling found that Cruz leads with 38 percent support, with Trump right behind at 37 percent — within the margin of error.

John Kasich follows with 17 percent.

In a head-to-head matchup with Trump, Cruz leads by a wider margin, 49 to 41 percent. The poll found that 51 percent of Kasich voters would support Cruz if the Ohio governor left the race, while 19 percent would move to Trump.

Trump is the only one of the three with a negative favorability. The businessman was seen favorably by 45 percent of voters, and unfavorable by 48 percent.

Kasich was 52 percent favorable and 30 percent unfavorable. Cruz was 50 percent favorably and 36 percent unfavorable.

Cruz and Trump are in a tight race in the Badger State, although polls disagree on how close it is. A Marquette Law School survey released on Wednesday showed the Texas senator leading Trump by 10 points.

The poll was conducted from March 28 to 29 and surveyed 768 likely GOP primary voters. The margin of error was 3.5 percentage points.

Original article at http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/gop-primaries/274793-cruz-trump-in-dead-heat-in-wisconsin-poll

Is there a little contamination in Wisconsin? Why are those Fox polls the only ones cited? At this rate, by Tuesday they could have Cruz pushed to 65%.

Yet a PPP survey shows “Trump has most committed voters.” Among Trump supporters, 80% will definitely vote for Trump and of Cruz supporters, 66% say they’ll definitely vote for Cruz.

The numbers game

If it is just a numbers game, as people keep repeating these polls, then take a look at them. My comments are a few thoughts that jump out at me. Some things just bug me.

There is a Real Clear Politics page and then there is an AOL article I saw, on the current landscape — a matchup with Hillary.

Questions arise every time I keep hearing these same things repeated. So then why do they keep making a fuss over the details? Some of the polls mentioned are months old.

Cruz likes to point out they show he beats Hillary, by 1 point, in a matchup. But he loses according to the NBC/WSJ poll by 2 points.

News just came out that, according to WSJ , one third or 33% of Sanders’ supporters will not support Hillary. Isn’t that just delicious? His poll number now, with Hillary, is about 40% which means one third of that will not go to Hillary. So that is about 13% voter loss of their electorate for Hillary. Maybe she can write that off?

So Trump loses, by their polls and Cruz can win, albeit by 0.8& But its already a given that some of those Trump supporters will not support Cruz. Isn’t it funny how we’re only told many Cruz Supporters won’t support Trump– “Never Trump.” Back to the point, if Trump loses to Hillary, and DT voters won’t vote for Cruz, then what effect does that have? So if Trump loses against Hillary, then there must be more Cruz voters who will not support Trump. Does that make sense? And if Hillary is down say 13% with her voters(former Bernie voters), then what’s wrong? Plus we know that Trump did bring in more voters. I’d say some things here don’t make sense or add up.

In a matchup against Sanders, Bernie wins by wider margins. He beats Cruz handily, in double digits, and beats Trump by even more. Funny that neither Cruz or Sanders did well in Florida or Ohio — two huge states in the general. Why does Bernie win by that much more? Maybe there are number geniuses out there that make sense of all this.

Of course if you want my unprofessional opinion, both sides may want Cruz to be the nominee to go against Clinton. And I smell a little slant to the left in it all.

Then there is the states problem. It’s expected Hillary is favored in Michigan, Ohio and Florida. They say she does well there. But Cruz has not done well in any of them. Trump took Florida in double digits and didn’t do too badly in Ohio against its popular incumbent governor. Yet they give the advantage to Cruz against Hillary.

My exhaustive conclusion:
So according to my estimates, using all this info and a computer, I safely predict the only thing that can consistently beat Heir Hillary is the Dep of Justice or an indictment.

Franklin Graham lives in reality USA

Franklin Graham — (Facebook)

“Politicians in Washington seem to be totally disconnected with reality.”

For some time I have been saying that Muslim immigration into the United States should be stopped until we can properly vet them or until the war with Islam is over. Donald J. Trump has been criticized by some for saying something similar. The new Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said yesterday that he disagrees—saying that “such views are not what this party stands for and more importantly it’s not what this country stands for.” Politicians in Washington seem to be totally disconnected with reality.

Research shows that there are 2.75 million Muslims living in the U.S. According to a poll commissioned by the Center for Security Policy, 51% of Muslims living in America believe “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to sharia” (Islamic law) instead of the U.S. Constitution. 29% agree that violence against those who insult Mohammad is acceptable, and 25% agree that violence against America can be justified as part of global jihad. Among males under the age of 45, that number rises to 36%. And 29% of males under 45 believe that violence against America is justified in order to make Sharia the law of the land. This is frightening.

Our politicians are not listening to the truth—my prayer is that God will open their eyes. This affects our security and the future of our nation. If you agree, email your Congressman or Senator today, and SHARE this with others (be sure to copy & paste this text when sharing).

Graham was referring to a Pew Research poll.

Muslims and Islam: Key findings in the U.S. and around the world

By Michael Lipka | Pew Research

Muslims are the fastest-growing religious group in the world. … Here are answers to some key questions about Muslims, …./ [read]

From the Washington Post

In July, Graham, the son of Billy Graham, wrote on Facebook that the country should “should stop all immigration of Muslims to the U.S. until this threat with Islam has been settled.” That post came after four Marines and a sailor were fatally shot at military facilities in Chattanooga, Tenn., by a Kuwait-born U.S. citizen from a conservative Muslim family.

Another Pew Research article says:

The public continues to express conflicted views of Islam. Favorable opinions of Islam have declined since 2005, but there has been virtually no change over the past year in the proportion of Americans saying that Islam is more likely than other religions to encourage violence.

And that is not all that has declined since 2005.

More on Graham’s Facebook here.

If it is a matter of life and death, which I believe it proves, then what is the problem with our concerns about their dysfunctional vetting? The left couldn’t even vet the current president in 2 elections. Certainly, the ruling-class are disconnected from reality.

Jeb on the ropes, attacks polls

Jeb Bush told a reporter that early polls don’t really matter.

Politico:

“These polls really don’t matter,” Bush said in an interview on “Fox News Sunday.” “They don’t filter out the people that aren’t going to vote. It’s just…an obsession, because it kind of frames the debate for people for that week.”

Read more: http://www.politico.com/story/2015/09/jeb-bush-polls-trump-carson-214112#ixzz3n2sPKkvw<

Let me translate: “they don’t filter out people that aren’t going to vote” — means polls are skewed by people who will not be voting. Why pay any attention to that, or those people? In typical elite-speak he stepped in the dodo.

He adds he expects his poll numbers — the ones he doesn’t care about — to rebound as he cranks up his ad campaign. Those TV ads that will influence the people who won’t vote.

Hillary trails on campaign trail

This should make hillary spew her morning coffee. Oh, should but like Obama she’s too arrogant and in denial. Perhaps if her voters, the ones who don’t trust her either, wake up to say this is not what we were promised and what we signed on for?

Poll: Hillary Clinton in trouble in three key swing states

By Kelly Cohen – 7/22/15 | Washington Examiner

Hillary Clinton is trailing three leading Republican candidates in three key swing states.

In Colorado, Iowa and Virginia, the former secretary of state trails former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in hypothetical general election matchups, according to new Quinnipiac University polls released Wednesday.

Against Bush, Clinton trails 36 percent to 41 percent in Colorado, 36 percent to 42 percent in Iowa and 39 percent to 42 percent in Virginia.

Commentary from the gallery

What we need with Hillary is something like the misery index for the economy. My theory was the Dems didn’t care about the trust factor. They vote for them anyway, almost in spite of it — maybe because of it. So I don’t hold my breath for distrust to take her down, alone. Must be more.

The Dems must be made to feel as depressed and pathetic as they really are for the country to get anywhere. But it is quite hard to give people a conscience when they have none. If they can just see the pile of manure they put in the middle of the room, and take in the aroma, maybe just maybe we can get some reaction out of them.

This is sort of like chem trails on planes. You can make all kinds of explanations or theories about them but one cannot deny seeing them with their own eyes. Seeing Hillary flounder in the polls is obvious to us. Can Dems make a good enough explanation for the cause to shake their confidence? Trustability does come to bear, but there is much more with Hillary. She is as polarizing and disconnected from normal, working class people as possible. It’s obvious. But she tries to mock CEOS and all while she is virtually in bed with them.

Will Soros pull the plug on Heiress Hillary at some point? Will he leave her to whither in the vine? Will the very support she is tied to finally say Basta Hillary, enough?

A case against her run.

Another question on Hillary remains. Why would she really want to run anyway? I’m being serious. She and Bubba — the Tookie of the charity world — have a pretty good racket er operation. Why does she really need to run? The answer of course is, you know, power and influence. The influence racket requires the power center to really have massive affect.

It worked great when she was Sec of State. If not for running for president, and her aspirations for the White House, they could be very comfortable. No hassles, raking in their piles of doe from all their connections. It is the influential political connection they need. But they still have that, Bubba has proved hugely popular, so is Hill for that matter. They could do well outside, like most institutionally connected liberals. And they would/do make it a family business. It crosses political lines. So why not just be happy in that high life they’ve extorted and built on the backs of America and its politics? (or the little people)

It’s a very lucrative racket for the grifters.

They also have their media connections and influence. What is lacking? Not much. No, the only possible reason — take altruism out — is that she wants access to the reins of power to get the greatest possible bang for the bucks. She really doesn’t care about people or anyone else. She thinks as long as she (or they) are at the center, then everyone else will be happy. Or as long as she is eating on the right side of the mushroom — like Alice in Wonderland — everything else automatically falls in place. Life will be good, people happy, the world comfortable in its chaotic bliss. Long as they benefit personally, what’s not to like?

Not your ancestors’ kind of respect

Obama’s hubris really knows no bounds.
Allen B West

Last week, speaking to a group of community leaders from ASEAN, The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, President Obama made the hilarious claim that HE has restored this nation’s standing in the world. No lie. He said “People don’t remember, but when I came into office, the Untied States in world opinion ranked below China and just barely above Russia, and today once again, the Untied States is the most respected country on earth.”

Is it a sign of respect that people will not honor your borders? Is it a sign of respect that Putin treats you like a doormat? Is it a sign of respect when the leadership is a laughing stock. Is it a symptom of respect to have no credibility?

Let’s get something straight, what most of the world does respect is power and strength. But this president has telegraphed weakness to every corner of the world — and that is a very difficult thing to do.

There’s an old wise tale: “there is honor among thieves” and Obama has no honor. He has conceit and hubris but that is not honor. There is nothing honorable about Obama.

Maybe some in the world respect the ability to lie, which Obama demonstrates almost daily. Heck, we can’t even get any respect — and translated into trust — from our allies. Besides, what is respect worth anyway? If not translated into meaningful actions, then respect is not worth much.

What he is doing is commending the rest of the world on their insatiable ability to misapply their respect. As I said, what is respected is strength and power in the world. That invasion of illegals Obama sponsored just says respect all over it. Right! Being afraid to use the term Islamic terrorism begets respect. Denying ISIS is Islamic is respectable.

Funny how Obama doesn’t give any respect, especially to the US.

So I don’t think we need graphs and pie charts to see that the rest of the civilized world has Zero respect for us. But I know it’s probably a trick question with the pollsters. If respect is defined as disdain and distrust, then they have mountains of it. Or when they laugh at Obama’s statements they say “that just demands respect.”

Now a Kenyan, Mo-Bro supporter, Chicago radical, liar is telling us respect for the US since he took office is at an all-time high. What’s to question?

Anger and the walking dead Left

Want to read the complete analysis, see here. But if you want a summary:

Voters are angry — CNN poll

Washington (CNN) — Nearly 7 in 10 Americans are angry at the direction the country is headed and 53% of Americans disapprove of President Barack Obama’s job performance, two troubling signs for Democrats one week before the midterm elections, a new CNN/ORC International Poll shows. …/

The CNN/ORC poll shows that 30% of Americans are “very angry” and 38% are “somewhat angry” about the way things are going in the country, while 31% expressed “no anger” at all. CNN Polling Director Keating Holland notes the 31% of “very angry” Americans matches the mood of the country in 2010 when Republicans took back control of the House.

In next week’s election, the emotion of anger could be a motivating factor in driving out GOP voters. While 36% of Republican voters said they are “extremely” or “very enthusiastic,” about voting this year, only 26% of Democrats use that language to describe themselves, in the CNN/ORC poll.

That’s enough for me. Just like one of those old rock and roll songs when all you need is the chorus to say it all. A total of 68% have some anger.

I’m going to take the liberty of reading between the lines. There are 31% of voters in this country who are tone deaf, and probably don’t know what is going on, who are not pissed off. Let me see now: if those people are not pissed off yet, then maybe they are the walking dead. What would it take to get them angry? I think we know who they are.

But I have a suspicion most of those same people found plenty of anger during Bush’s terms — and he is the one they directed it at, along with anyone even remotely allied to him. Now, suddenly they are not angry about any of this stuff. Come on! Did they all receive therapy? Are they on medication?

I don’t know but beyond the crew in Washington, this is the part of the populace I have problems with. Let’s also say that if they aren’t feeling the pain yet from this regime, they must be therapeutically numbed — or anger challenged. The rest of us see and feel the pain quite well, and blame the progressive collective for it.

So, 30% of voters will be the walking dead on top of the regular dead vote.

As for the rest of the awake among us…

Dissing Zero

While some effects are hypothetical, what isn’t are Obama’s poll numbers. So I looked at the Real Clear Politics chart and what I found was interesting. The day it shifted from black-approval, to negative-disapproval was about May29th, 2013. From then on the disapproval leads. Well, besides a giant asteroid passing by earth, there was other news.

Six months into his second term and Obama’s approval numbers inverted. His disapproval numbers have remained higher than his approvals ever since.

May 2013 was not a good month for the Obama administration, dep of Justice, or the IRS, or one Lois Lerner. The IRS scandal broke and by the 22nd, Lerner was taking the fifth amendment in her roundabout way of giving an opening statement declaring she did nothing wrong. This after she initially leaked the IRS targeted conservatives. Benghazi was still on the front burner.

Last October it was 50.9 disapproval — 43.9 approval. By December, it was 55.6 disapproval to 40% approval. All that stuff which happened in the last year and a half adds to that mix. Benghazi, to IRS, to immigration, privacy, rights, government spending and national security.

We had the trifecta, Benghazi the Dep of Justice scandal over the phone records. (without even counting fast and furious) Questions of whether Holder lied under oath about investigations. It was the week Lois Lerner was called to testify and took the fifth amendment. The Democrats finally began calling for her resignation. A Senate gang of eight was working on and moving an immigration reform bill. He’s been inverted ever since.

Then through to the recent discontent. On August 05, NBC/Wall Street Journal reported about upcoming mid-term elections:

Two words sum up the mood of the nation: Fed up.

Six in 10 Americans are dissatisfied with the state of the U.S. economy, more than 70 percent believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, and nearly 80 percent are down on the country’s political system, according to the latest NBC News / Wall Street Journal poll.

The frustration carries over to the nation’s political leaders, with President Barack Obama’s overall approval rating hitting a new low at 40 percent, and a mere 14 percent of the public giving Congress a thumbs up.

“We’re in the summer of our discontent,” said Democratic pollster Peter Hart, who conducted this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff. “Americans are cranky, unhappy… It is with everything going on in the world.”

The discontent’s two main causes

The NBC/WSJ pollsters attribute the wide discontent to the lingering effects of the Great Recession, as well as a loss of faith in the country’s politicians. /…

There’s also the public’s anger at Washington. A whopping 79 percent of respondents are dissatisfied with the U.S. political system, including nearly half who are very dissatisfied.

In addition, 71 percent of Americans believe the economic problems facing the country are due to the inability of elected officials in Washington to get things done to improve the economy.

By comparison, just 23 percent think the problems are due to deep and longstanding issues with the economy.

“The public seems to have moved beyond the plaintive cry of ‘Feel our pain!’ to the more angry pronouncement of ‘You are causing our pain!’” said Democratic pollster Fred Yang of Hart Research.

I just love the way he stated that conclusion. But there is a fly in their ointment. They claim there is not a central issue people are rallied around. That’s a problem? Well, there are many. So the larger issue is not only don’t people trust our politicians (i.e. government) but that they blame it/them for these circumstances.

One has to be blind not to see the wide circumstances for discontent. This year is even worse than last. Does not coalescing around one particular issue seem like a problem that will hurt Republicans? Choosing one particular issue would naturally give others a pass. That people blame politicians and government could be a wonderful thing.

Star-dazed Democrats, polling their u_sual

According to latest Quinnipiac poll, the Democrats primary looked like this.

Survey says….

Wonders never cease. Last night one of those polling outfits called me. One can always refuse but why? Sometimes the questions reveal a lot. I know, it’s all so mundane.

So, out of all the questions one stood out. Actually, it was many questions with one common denominator. When it came to 2016, the only Democrat they used was Hillary. Gee, I wonder why? There was a long list on the Republican side, but only Hillary as the Democrat. They did ask how you felt about Joe Biden? But other than that, I guess the only candidate worth polling on is Hillary. (lucky for her)

I just like the finger pointing thing.

Hillary: “pollsters must love me.”

So have a little 2016 with your Hillary.
Here’s to candidates who suck all the oxygen out of the room.

Poll: Majority in U.S. Say Healthcare Not Gov’t Responsibility

Gallup says: Republicans’ attitudes on this measure have changed significantly since 2000

by Joy Wilke | November 18, 2013

PRINCETON, NJ — The 56% of U.S. adults who now say it is not the federal government’s responsibility to make sure all Americans have healthcare coverage continues to reflect a record high. Prior to 2009, a clear majority of Americans consistently had said the government should take responsibility for ensuring that all Americans have healthcare.

Attitudes across all three partisan groups have shifted away from the view that ensuring healthcare coverage is a proper role of government, but most significantly among Republicans and independents. In September 2000, 53% of Republicans believed the government should not be responsible for ensuring all Americans had health coverage; today, 86% feel that way, an increase of 33 percentage points in 13 years. Over the same period, the percentage of Republicans believing the government should ensure healthcare coverage for all has fallen from 42% to 12%.

55% of independents currently say the government should not be involved with healthcare — an increase of 28 points since 2000.

The percentage of Democrats who hold this view is now 30%, its highest level since Gallup first asked the question and an 11-point increase since 2000 — with the largest change in opinion occurring between 2006 and 2008.

Don’t let your kids become politicians

…Prevailing wisdom anyway. And the survey says:

Shocking: Parents Don’t Want Their Kids Going Into Politics

Heather Ginsberg | Jul 06, 2013 Townhall.com

Why am I not surprised? In a poll released Friday, 64 percent of respondents said they wouldn’t want their kids going into politics as a career. Just 31 percent said they would like their children to look into politics as a potential future career.

This may seem shocking to some, but in fact, Gallup has been asking this question since the 1940s and the majority of people have always said they wouldn’t want their kids in politics. Perhaps this could have something to do with the lack of confidence in Congress’ ability to do their job.

Another Gallup poll last month found that only 10 percent of Americans have confidence in Congress. Additionally, we know that only 9 percent of Americans approve of the job they are doing.

Perhaps if we can get Congress to do their job and end some of the gridlock in Washington Americans can get excited about having their kids interested in politics. Maybe I am a little biased, but it seems like a political career could be one to admire. But until we clean up the mess that is going on in Washington right now, we probably won’t be seeing parents changing their minds any time soon.

There we have it. It would be interesting to know what careers are preferable to politics.

Obama in Trauma

Over the last weeks we’ve seen the roll out of scandals like a parade. I’m not sure if it is all coincidence or not, or maybe all his offenses are just catching up with him.

In the IRS series, we found there was a planned effort, between Lois Lerner and Steven Miller, to break the news by having a question planted before the investigation broke it. Sure they were trying to soften the blow; but it was also an effort to get ahead of it and a scheme to say ‘we had this problem and we’re already working to fix it and are putting it behind us.’ That is offensive, since it was going on until recently, and it was an IRS problem.

That little ploy is just like the campaign tactics Obama uses. Is that by coincidence? But they had done little if anything to fix it. Then we find a key operative “sat in” on every employee interview the I/G did.

Polls released show Obama’s approval has dropped, especially among younger demographics. Even more important his credibility and honest has really taken a dive. I don’t think that bounces back so easily.

Charles Krauthammer called him a “bystander” of his own presidency. I’d say he acts like Chief Spectator in all these events. When the scandals break one by one he claims to be just as shocked as we the people. Then he claims he will get to the bottom of it. So we hear his administration is investigating it. Its better than a circus act.

The media continually calls it a trifecta of scandals, completely leaving out Fast and Furious. But its more like an avalanche of scandals and no one knows when it will end. Obama is sitting right in the middle saying “what avalanche?”

Obama’s Credibility Gap and the 2014 Midterms

There’s an opening for the GOP—if it offers a growth agenda and is not just obsessed by scandals.

By Karl Rove

A June 2 NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows the damage. Fifty-eight percent of those surveyed say the Benghazi and Justice Department scandals “raise doubts about the overall honesty and integrity of the Obama Administration,” while 55% say the same about the IRS targeting.
A plurality holds Mr. Obama responsible for each scandal. A combined 41% say he is either “totally or mainly responsible” for mishandling the Benghazi attack while 19% say he is “not responsible at all.” On the Justice Department’s seizure of reporters’ phone records, 37% believe he is “totally or mainly responsible” versus 14% who say the president is “not responsible at all.” On the IRS targeting of conservative groups, 33% hold Mr. Obama “totally or mainly responsible” while 24% say he is “not responsible at all.”
The president’s overall job approval has been adversely affected. According to a Gallup poll on Wednesday, his standing is at 45% approve and 47% disapprove, compared with 52% approve, 44% disapprove in January. With congressional investigations in their early stages, the scandals will continue to be in the news, and the president’s approval numbers are likely to fall further.
/..
Mr. Obama is being hurt by more than the scandals themselves—there’s also the administration’s hapless messaging. Stories change and high-ranking officials continue saying things that are patently untrue, even after the facts have come out.

Even if Obama fashions himself a “bystander” president, more and more people directly connect his leadership and credibility to the scandals — and the problems with Washington. Maybe its like when a person is in the state of shock, he/she does not feel the full effects.

What’s holding Obama approvals up? — hot air, that’s what.

What’s holding Obama up?

By Dick Morris – The Hill 06/05/13

Why does Obama boast an average approval rating of 48 percent when he scores terribly on each issue he is now handling? Here’s the rundown in the latest Bloomberg News poll:

Do you approve or disapprove of Obama’s handling of ______?

Economy
Approve: 42% Disapprove: 53%
Healthcare
Approve: 40% Disapprove: 56%
Budget Deficit
Approve: 32% Disapprove: 59%
Terrorism
Approve: 51% Disapprove: 40%
Economic Security
Approve: 42% Disapprove: 51%
Immigration
Approve:40% Disapprove: 49%
Benghazi
Approve: 31% Disapprove: 51%

And the focus on Obama’s scandals is cutting deep with the American people.By 48 percent to 31 percent, Bloomberg found that Americans believe that the “extra scrutiny” the IRS gave to conservative groups was “politically motivated” and not “a product of bureaucratic shortcuts.”

Forty-seven percent of Americans said Obama “is not being truthful when he says he didn’t have prior knowledge of the extra scrutiny the IRS gave to conservative groups and that he learned about it through the news media.” Only 40 percent said he was “being truthful.”(also Bloomberg)

A Wall Street Journal/NBC poll found that the majority of voters felt that “the Administration’s handling” of each of its three major scandals “raises doubts” about “the overall honesty and integrity of the Obama Administration.”

A. On Benghazi 58 percent said it raised doubts and 27 percent said it did not.

B. On the subpoena of journalists’ phone records, it was 58 percent versus 23 percent.

C. And on the IRS targeting of conservative groups, 55 reported doubts and 26 percent did not.

So it’s logical to ask what is holding Obama’s approval ratings up at 48 percent when his approval on key issues is down in the 40 percent to 42 percent range and his handling of scandals is so universally derided?

The answer is, of course, demographics. African-Americans, Latinos, gays, students, and single white women are so frightened of a world without Obama and so alienated from Republicans that they dare not give the president overall negative ratings.

Will they ever? Yes. When the scandals reach the point where they cannot avoid it and when the Republicans stop alienating these groups.

Immigration reform will [be] the first break in the ice because it will remove the single issue that most holds Latinos captive to the Democratic Party. On abortion, the administration’s ability to wave Roe v. Wade as its banner guarantees the 2-to-1 support of single white women, about 20 percent of the electorate.

But ObamaCare offers the best option for bringing down Obama’s popularity. This signature program, so closely identified with his presidency, is becoming more and more unpopular as it nears implementation. Obama’s efforts to shore up its approval ratings are only likely to identify him more with its failings. The premium increases, the taxes and fines on young people, and the rationing of care to the elderly will become ever more apparent. And who can believe now that it ought to be administered by this Internal Revenue Service?

Bringing down Obama will take time, but the polling shows progress. Keep at it.

http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/the-administration/303621-whats-holding-obama-up

Finding that point where his approvals reflect reality would be to find America’s ‘sweet spot’. Now that would be utopia.  That’s where reality and perception finally converge, where people admit his failures, where he is not shrouded in phony belief and perceptions, when honesty prevails. That’s when America awakes up from its slumber.

It would be a Eureka moment when America finally “gets it”, most of it at least.  Sure, there are  perpetual deniers but for the most part people would come clean about Obama. I won’t hold my breath.

That is a lot to ask of America currently, considering the hold Obama has had on it until now. We may need some anti-anxiety meds when that happens — when people realize he is not who he said he was.

All that unfounded belief of people is what made Michelle Obama “really proud of my country, for the first time in my adult life.”

Seems like the percentage who think Obama is full of BS, hypocrisy, deception, and corruption is growing daily.  But so far, the percentage that don’t care what the liar says or does seems locked… somewhere in La-La land.
