AG Barr spills the truth

“…The unrelenting assault on religion and traditions.”

When have you ever heard a public official say something like that? It was from AG William Barr, in a speech to a college campus.

So when have you ever heard an Attorney General say something like that?

Kind of a refreshing change.

I thought all those Christians were right-wing extremists? That’s what media tells us. They’ll say anything to bury the truth, even blame evangelicals for the election.

And the Attorney General will take lots of contempt and condemnation for his remarks.
(I can almost hear Eric Holder and Obama gritting their teeth.)

The Papal Smackdown on U.S.

The Pope will arrive in US next week with the usual fanfare that entails a Papal visit. In view of expectations and his prior statements, he will probably stir the pot rather heavily. Then the joint session speech.

With those known factors, as well as his positions, I may write about it because it’s something I follow. However, I want to forewarn anyone that opposition and disagreement is not Pope bashing. I’ve been through that so many times my head would spin counting. Again, criticism is not Pope-bashing just as criticizing Obama is not racism.

Francis started this with his controversial statements. But I don’t expect to see anyone boycott his joint-session speech, or bar Obama from meeting the Pope because we are in political campaign season. (ala Bibi) Just the opposite, Obama is all about that. And since when did someone come here meddling in our policies? That kind of influence will be welcomed by the Democrats, though they are tied to the abortion industry as “law of the land”. But because they appreciate his socialist bent on economic and cultural matters, they encourage him all the more to make that case to the American people. (i.e. Ted Kennedy & Yuri Andropov)

So as a reminder, I am not a Catholic though I have no interest in bashing the Pope. I’ve also expressed my disagreement and disappointment with evangelicals and protestants in many areas. This was brought about by Pope Francis. As far as separating politics from religion, this Pope has erased many political boundaries. I’m not a separationist either and will not play those games, much less use that as fodder against the Pope of Rome.

On the outside chance he does not delve into controversial, political areas — and what haven’t the Dems politicized — it is still a matter that his people and Vatican have taken stands on these things, whether directly by Francis or his many evolving set of advisers. He may decide, as many politicians do, to let staffers and advisers make his case. But the case is his nonetheless, and he laid claim to it.

Saying it ain’t so don’t make it so… PS 101

Only 2 months ago, students may have been singing ‘school’s out’ but now it’s time once again for the back to school blues, which are as much for parents these days as for kids. Maybe it is out of that need to make kids enjoy it more that they are pushing even further in the direction of the perverted, under what they deem public education?

Who knows exactly, but parents aren’t thrilled at the curriculum in many areas.  That never stopped the big-government train from speeding along.  And they have plenty of special whistle stops planned for their trip.

Back To School: Soft Porn For 10 Year-Olds, Islam For Every Child, No Parental Rights & The Need To Opt Out

Educators have expressed: Children Don’t Belong to their Parents

Bethany Blankley September 8, 2015 | Western Journalism

This new school year under expansive Common Core curriculum and standards testing, children will have data collected by the government about behavioral and mental aptitude, not their test scores. No matter what a governor or state school board might claim, if the state receives federal money in any form, it is participating in data collection without parental consent. Parents have the constitutional right to opt out their child by filling out this form.

The Exodus Mandate is encouraging and providing resources for Christian parents to do more than opt out, but to exit the public school system altogether. Two excellent videos explain why.

Continue at Western Journalism: http://www.westernjournalism.com/back-to-school-soft-porn-for-10-year-olds-islam-for-every-child-no-parental-rights-the-need-to-opt-out/

Data mining and collection being only one of several areas of concern. Sex education to pervert them, and confuse sexual identity. Question what is a parent, or 1 and 2. (more to be added?)Defer to the central authority of the “school.”

So Islam-pimping lobbies want to teach our kids. They are doing so well with education over in the Mid-East, aren’t they? Where’s the prayer rugs and the arrows on the floor, just in case you forget which way to face? Inquiring minds want need to know.

What always amazes me is, with all this going on, how liberals can be as quiet as church mice about it. As if it were not happening. How do they restrain themselves? Then when approached they always have the standard, scripted answers.  No harm, no foul…just education in the 21st century, they say.  “Get over it,” they tell us. The greater good is looking badder and badder all the time. And we are labeled the crazy ones?

Then they will claim opt-out options are provided. But at what cost? The opt-out, in particulars or the entire public school, is not a real option for many people. Choice for abortions not for education.

Per author link:

The $632 billion the federal government spends each year on public school “education” is spent on education policy and curriculum that directly violates Constitutional protections.

Multiculturists and their tolerance agenda has no room for parents who oppose their program. We are quickly labeled extremists. Data collection we are just supposed to accept. “Trust us, the professionals.” All the data being pilfered with rampant hacking today and this is safe? They can teach sex education, but yet gender has no place in the program. We are all the same. But we’re old-fashioned or extremists.
We the people are the problem.

Hillary Lets The Veil Slip: Religion Is A Problem To Be Disposed Of

Matt K. Lewis | 4/24/15 | Daily Caller

Kudos to The DC’s Kerry Picket for spotting the significance of this Hillary Clinton quote: “Laws [about reproductive health care and safe childbirth] have to be backed up with resources and political will,” Clinton said. “And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.”

http://dailycaller.com/2015/04/24/hillary-lets-the-veil-slip-religion-is-a-problem-to-be-disposed-of/

Gone are the words safe legal and RARE. It’s now an attack on religion if it doesn’t conform to or accept abortion on demand – and Hillary’s standard. Yes, Hillary has come out of the closet to oppose religion, Christianity. Remember in ’08 her strategy to pander to Christians and religion. Scratch that, what we see now is her opposition to it. (not to extend to Islam, I’m sure)

Religious beliefs and biases have to be changed? Cultural codes like what, same-sex marriage and abortion? Well, now Hillary has elevated herself to Pope.

So her bigotry is out of the closet and she wants your freedom of religion in the closet — or conformed to her standards. “Resources and political will” – aka government.

Evil nature redux…

Let’s skip the Adam and Eve thing and go straight to the current situation with IS [ISIS] and bloodthirsty Islamist terrorists. Or does it depend on the meaning of “is”?

We’re talking an insidious type of evil here, even beyond their horrifying practices to such evil. The people who worry about passing gas in a crowded room (or how to lie about it), or worry about a soil stain on their underwear, making all daily prayers at the mosque, or about a woman showing a square inch of flesh — burqas don’t have wardrobe malfunctions — are the very same people responsible for wholesale, indiscriminate slaughter of people, even children, in the most gruesome manner like barbarian animals. Ones who believe in sacred jihad terrorism.

Then they lecture people on the proper adherence to their faith and Allah. Or the proper code of conduct for women, and on Islamic piety. The same people are telling everyone else what to do. Is there not one hell of a contradiction there?

Right these are the guys — known as the religion of peace — who are in charge of a caliphate that supposedly represents a billion plus Muslims. Strains of evil and hate run through it all. Are these not serious issues?

Then Obama trots out the old lame excuse that Islam is a religion of peace, and that these people are not Islamic. Maybe Obama is almost as schizophrenic and in denial as they are? Judging by the way Obama treats US people here, and what he’s inflicted on America, he has a propensity for evil himself.

ISIS is an Islamic (Terrorist) State, by their own definition.

Of course, the problem there is in definitions. There are different definitions for terrorism. But terrorism is not a state by most definitions. So it does not fit. They seem to have a problem. If it is a self-proclaimed state, then it is more an act of war than mere terrorism. That’s based on their definitions. It is considered war in terrorists’ ideology. We’re the ones arguing over semantics and definitions.

So it would seem that Obama and others have yet to prove their case that it is not — a state and not Islamic. Saying “is not” does not cut it. It is an Islamic terrorism State.

Job 34:10
10 “Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding:
Far be it from God to do wickedness,
Isa 5:20
20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Matt 12:34-35
34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

Prescription for ISIS

Short of wiping out ISIS which is needed, fast and furious, I have another prescription for ISIS that Obama can do on top of that. I think you will like it.

First. Obama has several times said they are not Islamic. True, Bush made similar stupid remarks about al Qaeda. Second, the Saudis are even concerned and said if ISIS is left unchecked, they could be in Britain or the US in months .

So they are a threat to the world and other Muslim countries. They should be a threat to other Muslims. That’s what we hear anyway. But they definitely threaten the world and humanity, and the future of mankind. If you threaten a species you are singled out and scorned. If you threaten humanity, oh well.

Now for the prescription. But because Barry has been so adamant and defiant about it, I suggest that he personally carry it out himself, not delegate it to anyone else. It’s simple communication, so he can handle it. It will make his theory more credible.

Simply go to his Saudi friends to give them a message. Since they are an authority in Islam and Wahhabism, then they can have a fatwā created and issued on ISIS and what they’re doing — rejecting the Islamic legitimacy of ISIS, telling Muslims not to take part in it in any way. They should have no problem if they disagree with ISIS’s credo. The guys in Riyadh can come up with something that delegitimizes them. And revoke their Mecca card. Even get a qaļā, a legal ruling, conveying similar sentiments.

If Obama believes as he says, he should have no problem doing that. So this is your mission, Barack Obama, should you accept it.

What do words tell us?

If I were a speech writer for Obama, I would have wondered, maybe highlighted a couple lines in the text either for clarification, revision, or removal. Sorry for the wordiness of this but it is unavoidable.

The line in question was about religion. Here is the text:

Jim Foley’s life stands in stark contrast to his killers. Let’s be clear about ISIL. They have rampaged across cities and villages — killing innocent, unarmed civilians in cowardly acts of violence. They abduct women and children, and subject them to torture and rape and slavery. They have murdered Muslims — both Sunni and Shia — by the thousands. They target Christians and religious minorities, driving them from their homes, murdering them when they can for no other reason than they practice a different religion. They declared their ambition to commit genocide against an ancient people.

So ISIL speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just God would stand for what they did yesterday, and for what they do every single day. ISIL has no ideology of any value to human beings. Their ideology is bankrupt. They may claim out of expediency that they are at war with the United States or the West, but the fact is they terrorize their neighbors and offer them nothing but an endless slavery to their empty vision, and the collapse of any definition of civilized behavior.

And people like this ultimately fail. They fail, because the future is won by those who build and not destroy and the world is shaped by people like Jim Foley, and the overwhelming majority of humanity who are appalled by those who killed him. … And we act against ISIL, standing alongside others.

Emblem of Islamic State in Iraq and Sham.jpg

Seal of Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant.

“Declared their ambitions to commit genocide” … and are carrying it out. The word is ‘committing.’

Lonely phrases

“So ISIS speaks for no religion.” Was that completely necessary? On what facts does he base that? They believe they speak for Islam. In fact, they believe they are the self-declared spokesman for it. And masses of the Islam faith have not argued that point. Why was it so critically important for Obama to state that? He tries to separate ISIS from the religion of Islam, writ large. Again, why is that necessary? Others would seem more suited to make that distinction, except they don’t. He tries to put ISIS outside the parameters of Islam. We don’t need to do that. It is what it is — self-asserted. They certainly speak for some segment of it. Just declaring they don’t is a lonely phrase in there.

So he seemed more concerned that their actions are hurting Islam. If they are hurting Islam, that should not be of great importance to us. There seems to be no shortage of Islam defenders to make that case — but they don’t. It is not up to our president to explain why ISIS and the terrorists are not spokespersons for Islam. Sure it seems a simple thing and some probably see his motivation, not that I do. But why is there a need for it?

I realize there is a large world-wide population of Muslims to which it should matter, but why is it a priority to separate this violence, horror, and evil from Islam? The fact that he feels compelled to speaks for itself. Again, where are their voices? If a religion this large cannot make a case against this uber-evil, then what does that tell us?

Territorial control of ISIS

Rather, I recommend that we pose the question to Muslims: “do you realize these actions are being done in the name of your religion?” And it is not the first time — probably not the last. Had it been any other religion they would follow that tack. They’d say, “well I don’t believe they do, but others can make the case why they don’t speak for their membership.” But the majority of any other religion would beat them to it, to make that case. Not here, we don’t have that.

Of course, the real reason is his apologetics. He felt a need to separate them from the religion of Islam to defend it from this bloody stain. Again, that could be left to cleric spokesman and their academics. The ironic thing is Obama has Muslim advocates and activists all around him. I was no fan of Bush doing it either. Sometimes things are what they are. It would help if others were making the case. Instead, we see Muslims either joining ISIS-fever or registering their approval by their silence.

Someone please help Obama because if he has a heart it is sure not in this. We’ve seen his critique of Iraq politics and laying the problem at their feet. Yes. However, if ISIS is a threat to us and other countries, then how is it logical and rational to trust Iraq to solve the ISIS problem? That dependency on them places our security in their hands. Is that what we want to do? That is what Obama is doing — putting them in charge of our security and the free world’s. It would be nice if one of our generals took Obama out back and explained the food chain to him. He doesn’t seem to get the basics.

So then, I guess Obama speaks for no country either, especially not the USA.

Islam and beheadings

In Obama’s recent remarks, he suggested ISIS does not speak for any religion regarding the Foley beheading. Really?

“So ISIL speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just God would stand for what they did yesterday, and for what they do every single day. ISIL has no ideology of any value to human beings. Their ideology is bankrupt.”

In the name of religion and Islamic justice, Saudi Arabia beheads people. Welcome to Islamic ideology. Chainsoff’s Blog reports:

Saudi Arabia executes 19 during one half of August in ‘disturbing surge of beheadings’

Offences that resulted in the Saudi Arabian death penalties in August ranged from drug smuggling and sorcery.

From Chainsoff’s Blog

The Saudi penal code is based on a strict interpretation of the Islamic Sharia(Islamic) law, and the kingdom executes anybody convicted of the capital offenses such as rape, murder, apostasy, armed robber and drug trafficking.

Obama tries unsuccessfully to separate ISIS and terrorists from the religion of Islam. How can you when when looking at the facts? Their ideology is rooted in Islam. That’s like trying to separate Louis Farrakhan from Islam.

The Guardian:

“We are not here to replace an Arab cahoot with a western cahoot. Rather our jihad is more lofty and higher. We are fighting to make the word of Allah the highest,” the spokesman said.

Isis, a breakaway group from al-Qaida, is notable for its hardline anti-Shia sectarianism, declaring Shia Muslims and other rivals as heretics that deserve death.

“The legality of all emirates, groups, states and organizations becomes null by the expansion of the caliph’s authority and the arrival of its troops to their areas,” he said in an audio statement posted online, AP reported. “Listen to your caliph and obey him. Support your state, which grows every day.”

Obama lectures us about ISIS not speaking for any religion. Why doesn’t he inform Muslims that these actions and this terrorism is being done in the name of their religion? So why is he trying to deny reality?

Do any of those above deny that ISIS speaks for Islam? Muslims are not running out to declare they do not speak for Islam. I have heard of no Islam decree that declares the ISIS does not speak for the religion of Islam. Actually, all these terrorists claim to be speaking for Islam. They do not speak for any religion? The important point is who says they don’t?

Pakistan church blast kills dozens

BBC – reports
22 September 2013

A twin-suicide bombing outside a church in Peshawar in Pakistan has killed at least 75 people, in one of the worst attacks on Christians in the country.

Two bombers blew themselves up as worshippers were coming out of the city’s historic All Saints church after attending Sunday Mass, police say.

Relatives of the victims gathered at the scene to protest against the government’s failure to protect them.

Militants linked to Pakistani Taliban have said they carried out the bombing.

The group, Jandullah, said it was in retaliation US drone strikes in Pakistan’s tribal northwest.

Sunday’s twin attacks targeted Peshawar’s historic All Saints Church as hundreds of worshippers were attending Mass.

Official “tolerance” alliance agenda with Muslims and Islam

DOJ: Social Media Posts Trashing Muslims May Violate Civil Rights

Judicial Watch – May 30, 2013 [*emphasis mine]

In its latest effort to protect followers of Islam in the U.S. the Obama Justice Department warns against using social media to spread information considered inflammatory against Muslims, threatening that it could constitute a violation of civil rights.

The move comes a few years after the administration became the first in history to dispatch a U.S. Attorney General to personally reassure Muslims that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is dedicated to protecting them. In the unprecedented event, Attorney General Eric Holder assured a San Francisco-based organization (Muslim Advocates) that urges members not to cooperate in federal terrorism investigations that the “us versus them” environment created by the U.S. government, law enforcement agents and fellow citizens is unacceptable and inconsistent with what America is all about.
“Muslims and Arab Americans have helped build and strengthen our nation,” Holder said after expressing that he is “grateful” to have Muslims as a partner in promoting tolerance, ensuring public safety and protecting civil rights. He also vowed to strengthen “crucial dialogue” between Muslim and Arab-American communities and law enforcement.
Evidently that was a precursor of sorts for an upcoming Tennessee event (“Public Disclosure in a Diverse Society”) that will feature the region’s top DOJ official, who serves as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and an FBI representative. The goal is to increase awareness and understanding that American Muslims are not the terrorists some have made them out to be in social media and other circles, according to a local newspaper report. The June 4 powwow is sponsored by the American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee.
The area’s top federal prosecutor, Bill Killian, will address a topic that most Americans are likely unfamiliar with, even those well versed on the Constitution; that federal civil rights laws can actually be violated by those who post inflammatory documents aimed at Muslims on social media. “This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian says in the local news story. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”
The DOJ political appointee adds in the article that the upcoming presentation will also focus on Muslim culture with a special emphasis on the fact that the religion is no different from others, even though some in the faith have committed terrorist acts, Christians have done the same. As an example he offers that the worst terrorist attack in the U.S. prior to 9/11 was committed by American Christians in Oklahoma City. He also mentioned the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting last year in which another Christian, an American white supremacist, fatally shot six people and wounded four others.
“Some of the finest people I’ve met are Muslims,” Killian said, adding later: “We want to inform everybody about what the law is, but more importantly, we want to provide what the law means to Muslims, Hindus and every other religion in the country. It’s why we came here in the first place. In England, they were using Christianity to further their power in government. That’s why the First Amendment is there.”
Over the years the Obama administration has embarked on a fervent crusade to befriend Muslims by creating a variety of outreach programs at a number of key federal agencies. For instance the nation’s Homeland Security covertly met with a group of extremist Arab, Muslim and Sikh organizations to discuss national security matters and the State Department sent a controversial, anti-America Imam (Feisal Abdul Rauf) to the Middle East to foster greater understanding and outreach among Muslim majority communities.
The Obama Administration has also hired a special Homeland Security adviser (Mohamed Elibiary) who openly supports a radical Islamist theologian and renowned jihadist ideologue and a special Islam envoy that condemns U.S. prosecutions of terrorists as “politically motivated persecutions” and has close ties to radical extremist groups.
The president has even ordered the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to shift its mission from space exploration to Muslim diplomacy and the government started a special service that delivers halal meals, prepared according to Islamic law, to home-bound seniors in Detroit. Who could forget Hillary Clinton’s special order allowing the reentry of two radical Islamic academics whose terrorist ties have long banned them from the U.S.?

Better yet, from the local Tennessee paper:

Group sets meeting to increase tolerance of Muslims, culture

Tullahoma News
May21, 2013  [excerpt – informational]

CITY EDITOR
Brian Justice

A special meeting has been scheduled for the stated purpose of increasing awareness and understanding that American Muslims are not the terrorists some have made them out to be in social media and other circles.
“Public Disclosure in a Diverse Society” will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, at the Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center, 147 Hospitality Blvd.
Special speakers for the event will be Bill Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and Kenneth Moore, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Knoxville Division.
Sponsor of the event is the American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee — a 15-member board formed two years ago when the General Assembly was considering passing legislation that would restrict those who worship Sharia Law, which is followed by Muslims.
Killian and Moore will provide input on how civil rights can be violated by those who post inflammatory documents targeted at Muslims on social media.
“This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian told The News Monday. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”
Killian said the presentation will also focus on Muslim culture and how, that although terrorist acts have been committed by some in the faith, they are no different from those in other religions.
He referred to the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing in which Timothy McVeigh, an American terrorist, detonated a truck bomb in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995. Commonly referred to as the Oklahoma City Bombing, the attack killed 168 people and injured more than 800.
../
Zak Mohyuddin, a Muslim Advisory Council member, said a shortened version of a documentary called “Welcome to Shelbyville” will also be featured.
The documentary, produced by the Public Broadcasting Service, spotlights recent demographic changes in nearby Shelbyville, with a focus on the growing number of immigrants from Latin America and Somalia with many Somalis from the Bantu minority ethnic group which practices Islam.

Thanks to Just Gene for the tip

I could write a thesis on the problems with this. But using Tim McVeigh as defense example? That one is really getting old. The truth is we’ve heard a whole lot since McVeigh. The left throws it out every opportunity they get, constantly using that bombing to indict the entire right – the outspoken right, evangelical or otherwise.  Along with extorting McVeigh as an example of the Christian faith,  which is a real stretch. They’ve done that for years.
Do you hear any mass hysteria about that bigotry speech toward the right? Never.  An American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee? What parallels are there to that?
Now too cute by half Muslims want to use McVeigh as a centerpiece to validate their case? That was one incident and the truth is, like in Boston, it is brought up all the time. It’s always thrown up to conservatives even when it doesn’t apply. But do they ever mention the Waco or Ruby Ridge episodes? No, just ol’ deranged Tim McVeigh – who  also justified killing children and innocent civilians as collateral damage. I don’t remember him having a following, and there was no shortage of people condemning it from…lets see….EVERYWHERE! But selective outrage and memory fails them about Jackboot Reno and the power of the “Justice” department.
Imagine the administration and DoJ engaging in collaborative efforts with those sorts of people?  Then look how they treated Tea Parties and patriots. Remember the memos about right-wing political extremists, with their suspicion lists including even soldiers returning. (soldiers a threat, not Islamists)  More of their version of fairness and social justice?
Anyway, they get a full VIP- audience to Muslims’ concerns from DoJ and the administration. When was the last tine the justice department sought to comfort your concerns as Christians or Jews? About government oppression? Or if you are an illegal or Hispanic, they give them an 800 number to call DoJ. But for Christians, they get the crushing power of government aimed at them and the cold shoulder treatment, as the IRS scandal shows. They all made Tim McVeigh into a millstone to hang around conservatives and Christians, they politicized it too.
Let’s not forget their crackdown on military chaplains praying in Jesus name, or the recent warnings about evangelizing in the military. And on, and on. Where does it end? This is no slippery slope, this is a cliff.

“Cozy on, dudes!” We have Islamophobia?

Christmas hope vs. hope on a rope

Followup comments on the prior post Audacity of an NBC loon

Snyderman: “I don’t like the religion part. I think religion is what mucks the whole thing up….I think that’s what makes the holidays so stressful.”

What part of the Christmas, religious holiday do they have problems with?

Is it the peace on earth part; the good will to men part; or is it the hope message that offends them? Maybe it is God sending his son as a savior. Possibly the decorations offend them? Or wishing a person a “Merry Christmas” is offending people. Singing Christmas carols in the street can offend them, or a manger scene, to say nothing about those candlelight services. Maybe the good tidings are offesive?

But the religiousity of the current administration is not supposed to offend anyone. They force their “hope and change” down our throats, under the rule of their messiah. It is a religion with the left. They use the power and force of the government to push it on you.

We saw it with the ObamaCare mandates. Then they demand you pay for the pleasure of being forced against your will to abide by something you and your conscience disagrees with. They wage war on religious freedom. You are taxed for being offended. And how about their religion of global warming and climatology?

However, ‘stop forcing your religious Christms joy on us.’

But they can find room in leftville’s tent to have problems with Christmas. A message of Hope is offensive, religious joy disturbs them. But an intentionally vague hope and change is a requirement of the left, or else you are outcast as a hater and racist. And there is the forced redistriution. It is the doctrine of their government religion.

Gone are the three wise men, replaced by the offended few named “the masses”.
But then the twelve days of Christmas is now the countdown to the “fiscal cliff”. (how apropos)

And they left with a huff yelling:
“Come Dancer, come Comet and Vixen… Free condoms to all, and to all a good night!”

Audacity of an NBC loon

During a panel discussion on Wednesday’s NBC Today about hiring people to do Christmas chores like decorating the tree or buying gifts, the network’s chief medical editor Nancy Snyderman suddenly broke into an anti-religious rant:

“I don’t like the religion part. I think religion is what mucks the whole thing up….I think that’s what makes the holidays so stressful.”

But what mucks up the leftist media?

Churches call for Congressional investigation into aid to Israel

The NY Times is reporting that a group of Christian churches are asking Congress to investigate and hold hearings on US aid to Israel, due to what they call human rights abuses toward Palestinians.

It also reports that while they claim both sides are responsible for problems, they only call for an investigation “into Israel’s activities.”.

Church Appeal on Israel Angers Jewish Groups

By LAURIE GOODSTEIN
Published: October 20, 2012

“The controversy began on Oct. 5, when the Christian groups sent a letter urging Congress to hold hearings into whether Israel was violating the terms for foreign aid recipients. The Christian leaders wrote that they had “witnessed widespread Israeli human rights violations against the Palestinians, including killing of civilians, home demolitions and forced displacement, and restrictions on Palestinian movement.”
/…
The signers, besides the Presbyterians, included leaders of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the United Methodist Church, the National Council of Churches, the United Church of Christ, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the American Friends Service Committee (a Quaker agency) and the Mennonite Central Committee. Two Catholic leaders also signed, one with the Conference of Major Superiors of Men, an umbrella group of men’s religious orders. “

The Christian leaders’ letter acknowledged that both Israelis and Palestinians had suffered, and that both sides bore responsibility. But it called for an investigation into only Israel’s activities.

The Jewish leaders said such an approach was a double standard. The Palestinian Authority also receives foreign aid from the United States and has also been accused of rights violations, they said.

“Where’s the letter to Congress about Syria, which is massacring its own people?” said Rabbi Steven Wernick, the chief executive of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. “When Israel is the only one that is called to account, that’s when it becomes problematic.”

The letter says
U.S. churches and religious organizations committed to seeking a just peace for Israelis and Palestinians. [in closing]

Unfortunately, unconditional U.S. military assistance to Israel has contributed to this deterioration, sustaining the conflict and undermining the long-term security interests of both Israelis and Palestinians. This is made clear in the most recent 2011 State Department Country Report on Human Rights Practices covering Israel and the Occupied Territories1, which details widespread Israeli human rights violations committed against Palestinian civilians, many of which involve the misuse of U.S.-supplied weapons.

Accordingly, we urge an immediate investigation into possible violations by Israel of the U.S. Foreign Assistance Act and the U.S. Arms Export Control Act which respectively prohibit assistance to any country which engages in a consistent pattern of human rights violations and limit the use of U.S. weapons2 to “internal security” or “legitimate self-defense.”3 More broadly, we urge Congress to undertake careful scrutiny to ensure that our aid is not supporting actions by the government of Israel that undermine prospects for peace. We urge Congress to hold hearings to examine Israel’s compliance, and we request regular reporting on compliance and the withholding of military aid for non-compliance.

Israel Seizes Pro-Palestinian Activist Ship off Gaza

Saturday, 20 Oct 2012

The Israeli navy seized an international pro-Palestinian activist ship on the Mediterranean high seas on Saturday to prevent it breaching Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip, a military spokeswoman said.

She said no one was hurt when marines boarded the SV Estelle, a three-mast schooner, and that it was rerouted to the Israeli port of Ashdod after it ignored orders to turn away from the Hamas-governed Palestinian enclave.

Christians more discriminated against than Muslims

In a new Pew survey just released, it gives the statistics index over several years on religious discrimination and freedom around the world. One thing stood out. (… my conclusion)

“Christians,” the survey reports, “were harassed by government officials or organisations in 95 countries in the year ending in mid-2010 and by social groups or individuals in 77 countries.

“Muslims also were more likely to be harassed by governments (74 countries) than by social groups or individuals (64 countries). Jews, by contrast, experienced social harassment in many more countries than they faced government harassment.”

It stated an uptick in the US of “religious intolerance” along with a worldwide rise. And it says this comes amid findings that “people around the world are becoming more religious”.
