McCain back….to same old

Lavish on, for the first 5 minutes McCain lectured and praised the institution of the Senate. Lecturing on cooperation within the Senate and trusting each other again, he languished on about “serving the people who elected us,” into attacking outer-chamber voices:

“Stop listening to the bombastic loudmouths on the radio, and television and the internet. To hell with them! [applause] They don’t want anything done for the public good. Our incapacity is their livelihood. Let’s trust each other… return to regular order.”

The hack is back …with his invincible straw man.

So he is back to criticizing those outside voices and those who try to hold Congress and the Senate accountable. Yes, the problem is those outside voices. Sorry, we are worried about the inside voices who do the real damage. That America is fed up with the kind of shit-sandwiches your body is trying to serve up, should be a clue how we feel about it. You are not interested in the will of the people. No, you are an elitist who only uses the words “servants of a great nation” as cover for your real agenda of arrogance. Arrogance that has no limits to wall off the will of the people. Any different than Hillary’s “Deplorables”?

After all, what are elites there for but to do what the people oppose — the corrupt comradery we resent — by scheming against us in every major action. Especially when they team up against us. But that is the bipartisanship McCain stands for. He’s back to branding us Agents of Intolerance. His only real fight is with any outsider opposing him.

So they want to shut us up or shut us down. Marginalize us. There is the resistance and then the resistance within, like John McCain. But if anyone is the opposition it is him.

At a later point, he said we Americans “don’t hide behind walls, we breach them.” A clear attack on Trump and the Americans who want to secure our border. Don’t lecture us about walls. We care about our nation’s security. Stop warring with the will of the people.

Reruns and old sitcoms, sitcare

Forfeit the issue, argument, resistance — whatever you call it — of Obamacare? Painful thought. But it seems that is exactly what is being prepared in cesspool headquarters.

So we aren’t de-rooting Obamacare but fertilizing it and guaranteeing its survival. And I am pretty disgusted about it.

As if that were not bad enough a thought, it appears as though they put it in such a central position as to take down, or at least compromise, the entire Reepublican agenda. So Obamacare has found new life holding an entire agenda hostage. And it is not giving up.

Hostage negotiators? Well they are on the scene, but seem prepared to negotiate away the very hostages held captive. I.e. we the people and whoever else cares.

Is this the way it all goes down after 8 years of work and grassroots effort? A horrid thought. Is this how it ends by Republicans morphing back into the one-party duopoloy?

Haven’t we seen this movie before? We know how it ends. And that brings us right back to why we are here in the first place, Namely disgust and the sheer American will to break the chains that bound us — ‘mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.’

Before anyone goes berserk to blame it all on Trump not being conservative enough, much of this obfuscation is coming right from the Republicans. Certainly in the Senate. They have a stranglehold on government that I doubt we have ever seen before.

Trump? Well, he can come and go but these Republicans will remain, to some degree. Enough to take down or prevent any new agenda from taking shape., Enough to kill it in infancy. Would Repubs even agree on the epitaph?

My good friend Pepp forwarded me this Breitbart article. Have a look and see what you think. I am afraid Rand Paul is pretty much right on the mark.

I’ll go back to asking how many healthcare stocks are in all their portfolios in the cesspool capital? Bad enough to cede the Obamacare issue, but it seems poised to hijack the rest of any Republican-led agenda, from Taxes to economic liberty or trade. It is just my opinion how much effect it has on everything else.

Republicans seem positioned to allow it to happen. The Dems don’t have to do it. The insurgency within is enough to derail anything on the table.(or under it) Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey announced the reason they had no plan to replace Obama care is they didn’t plan on winning the election. Good excuse Pat. Well, this kind of train wreck is not caused just from Democrats. With media running opposition for Dems, it is hard to get a descent message out. Climate of disgust remains high 6 months in.

Dems and the Disgruntled Black Vote

Whoomp there it is! Tavis Smiley made this stunningly honest revelation on Democrats and their coveted black vote, on ABC while sitting next to Bill Kristol.

Let me call this one “the burnout of the turnout.”

Real Clear Politics

There’s a front-page story, George, as you know, in “The New York Times” today. They talk about the black vote is what the Democratic Party is relying upon now to save the Senate. News flash: if you’re relying on the black vote, in a midterm election — and I’m not suggesting that black voters don’t care about this — but if you’re relying on that vote, then I think it’s uninspired because we have double- and triple-digit unemployment in the African American community.

SMILEY: But if you’re black or brown, let’s be frank about this. If you’re black or brown, other than helping to save the Democrats’ hide, give me three good reasons [that] you turn out the vote this time.

Now I’ll catch hell for saying that…

See w/ video http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2014/10/19/tavis_smiley_no_good_reason_to_vote_if_youre_black_or_brown_other_than_helping_to_save_the_democrats_hide.html

So you smell what he’s cooking? It’s too much truth for prime time news or NYT though.

He was responding to a NYT piece: (discussing Clinton’s ad appealing to blacks)
Urging Blacks to Vote for Clinton for Obama’s Sake, and Their Own

THE AD The actor Morgan Freeman’s unmistakable voice poses a simple question: “What does showing up when it’s time to vote actually mean?” Images of President Obama — at his 2008 election-night rally, and leading thousands of people commemorating the 50th anniversary of the march in Selma — answer the question. “You care about protecting his legacy, and our progress.”

Get that handoff? You only “care” if you go support Hillary Clinton. So if you don’t vote, you don’t care and you are not preserving Obama’s legacy. The question is, or should be, why should blacks be interested in preserving the legacy of someone who didn’t care about them, and did nothing really for them?

You got that right… to protect Obama’s legacy not theirs. Then trust and hand off that support — and legacy — to Hillary. There are a lot of specious connections there.

The message: black voters need to propel Hillary to victory. But why?

For one thing, Hillary and her gal pal, AFT union president, Randi Weingartner, will do nothing for schools and education choice. And Clinton will do nothing for jobs or the economy either since the only one Hillary is concerned about is the pay to play, Washington-beltway economy.

But then does Obama — or blacks for that matter — actually believe Hillary is all that concerned with preserving and protecting his legacy? Believing a Clinton?

Dems have no shame

Controversy is us, Democrat Cory Booker wants to make sure he gets in on the action.

Cory Booker Brings Israel Critic, Muslim Brotherhood Defender to SOTU

BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff
January 12, 2016 | Free Beacon

Sen. Cory Booker’s (D., N.J.) guest of honor at tonight’s State of the Union address is an Islamic-American community leader who has publicly lashed out at Israel and once defended the Muslim Brotherhood organization as “misunderstood,” according to various reports.

Booker has invited as his guest to the annual speech Ahmed Shedeed, president of the Islamic Center of Jersey City, a community center tied to the 1993 World Trade Center bombings.

Where oh where has Dirty ol’ Harry gone?

Mark Levin reads an old op-ed that will make your hair curl.
We aren’t in Kansas any more. (May 2014)

This was reported around May 2014. Harry Reid rammed (S.744) the aka immigration bill through the Senate in 2013. Look at Harry Reid over 20 years completely abandoning common sense. A spineless lizard slithering around the Capitol. He seems to be a schizophrenic on top of it.

2 faces of Landrieu – evolution in action

Is it a bird, or plane, or just Mary Landrieu on Keystone XL? — the pipeline to politics.
(The Hill)

“After she requested the vote Wednesday, both parties were able to agree on holding a vote Tuesday on bipartisan legislation that would force the Obama administration to allow the construction of the pipeline that would transport oil from Canadian tar sands to refineries along the Gulf Coast. The House is expected to pass the bill this week.”

Wednesday:

“If they want to take my name off, put somebody’s else name on it and pass it, so be it,” Landrieu said on the floor Wednesday. “I didn’t come here to see my name in lights.” — [humble, little ol’ Mary]

Thursday:

“When they call press conferences later today and declare victory, remember who actually brought this to the floor,” Landrieu said Thursday. “I’m the senator who came to this floor.”– [Proud Mary]

Obama to ISIS, the perfect comparison

There is one ultimate comparison which applies well: Obama to ISIS, the Islamic State.

It really fits. The Islamic state are terrorists at heart, engulfed in an ideology that has no options. I wrote about it in “the struggle we must understand”. Obama is a radical ideologue at heart, whatever else anyone thinks he is. It is only a matter of understanding and knowing that. It’s a fool’s mission to try believing otherwise. He’ll prove you wrong; as ISIS will prove you wrong if you term them anything but evil and radical.

But that is not where it stops. The motive of operation for the terrorists is to provoke and attack anything not aligned with it, or anything that threatens it. That is the nature of the beast. That’s why preemption is the only strategy that can work against it.

With Obama he is all about challenging every other form of power. He believes in radicalism that attacks any of its enemies, by Alinsky tactics. It is pure radicalism. The ends justify any means. Ideology rules. He’s shown contempt for our Constitution and he shows contempt for America. He sees us as the problem and he and his cohorts as the answer. Perception is reality to them. They only need to project whatever they choose. (Islamists are creative at that too)

This is why we now have another problem. Our taking the Senate matters not to Obama. He’s as comfortable without it as with it. His radical means are no match for the process. He does not live under the same rules as everyone else. Therefore, it didn’t matter to him whether Republicans controlled congress. It didn’t matter before and doesn’t now.

In fact, we’ve seen how effective Harry and Nancy were in the minority already. He was looking to defy Congress before while he controlled half of it. Don’t you think he will defy it more having lost control? If he acted like a radical before, he has even more reason to act like a radical now. I think we get that. (whether legislators grasp that or not is a question)

With radical Islamists, they don’t care what percentage they are. Actually, the nature of radicalism is to be effective as one or a small group. They don’t have to win elections either, though they do know how to play the game of democracy. (Egypt) The other part is recruitment is not based on ethics or morality, it is just the opposite with radicalism and ideology. So they have no problem with recruitment, it sounds exciting to some.

Just as the message of progressives is a radical ideology, it sounds attractive to some people. It’s a perfect fit and lends itself to identity groups and academia.(group think)

With both types of radicals, percentage or majority do not matter, they are adept at acting in a small minority by design. (Weather Underground) They base their activism on constantly testing and pushing any boundaries. They use an incremental approach that is constantly probing. They apply tactics to subvert the process, challenge or disrupt it.

All that said, now we can see the problems inherent with Obama occupying one of three branches. Also other radicals within the system, think Lois Lerner, can be effective. They share ideology and don’t require orders or communications. Like terrorist cells, they act on their own or in concert. For Islamists, it is all about ideology. Radical is as radical does.

Clinton may have been a master politician, but Obama is a master of radicalism.

Obama smackdown 9-0

Supreme Court rebukes Obama on recess appointments

By Robert Barnes June 26 | Wa Post

The Supreme Court ruled unanimously Thursday that President Obama exceeded his constitutional authority in making high-level government appointments in 2012 when he declared the Senate to be in recess and unable to act on the nominations.

Obama made appointments to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) at a time when the Senate was holding pro forma sessions every three days precisely to thwart the president’s ability to exercise the power.

“The Senate is in session when it says it is,” Justice Stephen G. Breyer wrote for the court, stressing that if the Senate is able to conduct business, that is enough to keep the president from making recess appointments.

But the court stepped back from handing Obama — and those who will follow him in the Oval Office — a more substantial loss. A bare majority of the justices upheld, in theory at least, the president’s ability to make recess appointments when the Senate is indeed on extended break, saying history weighs in favor of a broad power.

Obama wanted to have a legacy, and instead he is leaving a giant stain.

Obama actually showed he could unify SCOTUS in a unanimous decision that he over-stepped his power and authority. That’s something.

Although Breyer said the court hesitated to “upset the compromises and working arrangements that the elected branches of government themselves have reached,” it is the lack of such cooperation that brought the dispute to the court for the first time in the more than 200-year history of the Constitution.

Court “hesitates to upset”…. SCOTUS has a function. . What “working arrangement”? Neither word applies to POTUS. Lack of cooperation is a huge understatement. They heard the same State of Union speech we heard. It was they who handed him a victory in ObamaCare using verbal gymnastics. Now Breyer and SCOTUS take exception !?!

Danger ahead for Dems

POLITICO poll shows mounting danger for Dems

By ALEXANDER BURNS | 5/19/14 | Politico

President Barack Obama’s job approval slump and voters’ entrenched wariness of his health care law are dogging Democrats ahead of the 2014 midterm elections, and Republicans have captured a lead in the areas home to the year’s most competitive races, according to a new POLITICO poll.

In the congressional districts and states where the 2014 elections will actually be decided, likely voters said they would prefer to vote for a Republican over a Democrat by 7 points, 41 percent to 34 percent. A quarter of voters said they were unsure of their preference.

Among these critical voters, Obama’s job approval is a perilous 40 percent, and nearly half say they favor outright repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Sixty percent say they believe the debate over the law is not over, compared with 39 percent who echo the president’s position and say the ACA debate has effectively concluded.

Both Obama’s job approval and the partisan ballot matchup are markedly more negative for Democrats in this poll than other national surveys — a reflection of the political reality that the midterm campaign is being fought on turf that is more challenging for Democrats than the nation as a whole.

But none of those issues comes close to approaching health care as a major concern for midterm voters. Nearly nine in 10 respondents said that the health care law would be important to determining their vote, including 49 percent who said it would be very important.

By comparison, only 28 percent said that immigration reform was “very important” to determining their vote, and 16 percent who said the same of male-female income disparity.

“Forward” seems to be reverse for Dems.

If elections were held today: 41% versus 34% would vote for Republicans. Even of the 25% who didn’t know which they’d vote for, 21% vs. 16% leaned in favor of Republicans.

And whatever Harry Reid is doing must be working. 😀 Or as Lost in Space said:

Reid’s Koch-a-phobia running wild

DSCC to Combat Koch Contributions Using Unnamed Dem Donors

BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff
April 11, 2014 3:29 pm

The Democratic Party’s Senate campaign arm is warning donors about the pernicious influence of the Koch Brothers, and offering to match contributions—using money from unnamed Democratic donors—to combat them.

Campaign literature from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee features Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) ranting against the Kochs for four pages.

Reid pledges that the DSCC will match all contributions made in response to the solicitation.

He did not say which of the DSCC’s shadowy donors would be providing the matching funds.

Harry Reid said in a fund raising letter to Democrats:

“In fact, Koch Brothers AFP has already spent a staggering 27 million this election cycle alone on television ads – and this early spending has sent Senate Democrats’ approval ratings plummeting.

We simply cannot allow them to buy our Democracy.“

What sent their approvals plummeting to the depths was their record and non-accountable actions. He wants to blame the Koch’s for that? People are fed up. He says it is a matter of fact. More twisted lies from Harry-the Judas-Reid. How much are those shekels of silver worth, Harry?

Secondly, what people cannot allow is Harry and his colleagues to continue to hold the country hostage to their precious power.

He will feel so much better after election, in a smaller office without all those concerns .

All Harry and his cohorts care about is their political power slipping through their evil fingers, nothing else. For Americans, the question is not what Harry and company have done for you but what they have done to you that matters.

Corry Booker and his Composite

Who cares about skeletons when you have composites?
Doesn’t everyone have a composite or two kicking around?

Newark Mayor Corry Booker does and apparently he’s a colorful character.

Cory Booker’s Imaginary Friend

The Newark mayor invented a street character for dramatic effect.
By Eliana Johnson / August 29, 2013

Go back and listen to Cory Booker’s stump speeches over the years, and, as in those of any politician, you’ll hear many of the same stories. But Booker’s are more dramatic and heart-rending than most. They draw heavily on his experiences in Newark, N.J., where he moved in 1995 after his second year at Yale Law School. They have also helped to make him a political celebrity and put millions of dollars into his campaign war chest and Newark’s coffers.

Booker’s tales of his trials and travails on the streets of Newark, the city that twice elected him mayor, are familiar, and they have helped to breed an almost mythological aura around the Stanford, Oxford, and Yale graduate.

But sources tell National Review Online that the central character in one of Booker’s oft-repeated stories — T-Bone, the drug pusher who the mayor has said threatened his life at one turn and sobbed on his shoulder the next — is a figment of his imagination, even though Booker has talked about him in highly emotional terms and in great detail.

Here we go again. Too bad it is not an imaginary position he is running for.

Harry Reid: liar extraordinaire

Hary Reid – prince of darkness award

Prince Harry has been running his mouth about how the house won’t act on the looming crisis, as if he was standing there waiting for any response from them. He claimed he was just trying to find solutions to the cliff crisis. Then, as Sunday rolled around, he said he did not have a counter offer to Republicans.

He revealed the truth, he has no interest in negotiating. (negotiation is a foreign word to Prince Harry) They want what they want and that’s it. He accused Republicans of having a dictatorship in the House. He then reverted to the second lieutenant of darkness, Gaffes Biden. But Harry will stand willing to hold the vote for the Overlord of Darkness, Barack Hussein Obama, on his phony non-plan at the last minute – just as planned. The dark forces unite in their kingdom of evil.

As we knew, more tax money — or “revenue” as they like to call it — only means more new spending to them. And no matter how much more they get, they will spend even more. Just what most people feared. Nothing changes in the District of Corruption. All Reid’s pre-game talk was only that, demagoguery.

He made no move to do a budget since Obama was elected, and he hasn’t changed his arrogantly stubborn mind since. He holds the entire government and political process hostage to his dictatorship. He’s nothing but a tool of the evil I was talking about. Sure, there are other greater and lesser actors in this evil. But Reid earned his ‘evil button’.

Everyone should be sick to death of this liar and propagandist. But somewhere he still has allies, the like-minded Marxists. Why should one man have the ability to sabotage our entire Congress? Yet to Harry, his biggest problem is eliminating dissent and any opposition.

Harry is Satan’s point man in the Capitol.

Warren, have mouth will travel

Elizabeth Warren is smoking some wild and crazy stuff, and she apparently thinks everyone else can see her hallucinations too. The ‘madder than a hatter’ has just said she thinks her election proved people want bipartisanship in the Senate.

Sometimes there are people you cannot reach with rational reasoning. She’s exhibit A. How the voters of Mass elected this psychotic princess is beyond any rational excuse. But to hear her big mouth define and describe what Americans said or wanted in this election is absurd. This senator–elect is more egocentric than the current Occupier was in his US Senate race — I didn’t think that was possible. And just as bombastic.

What kind of toxic cocktail has Massachusetts cooked up for America now? She seems to be following the Obama model though.

TownHall:
Warren: Those Darn Senate Republicans Won’t Stop Filibustering, and I’m Going to Washington to Stop Them

“I learned something important in my race against Senator Brown: voters want political leaders who are willing to break the partisan gridlock. They want fewer closed-door roadblocks and more public votes on legislation that could improve their lives.”

Maybe someone can get her fitted with a straight jacket before she really hurts someone. (she’s already a ward of the State) Does she even know what Party she is in? Her version of spread the wealth does not include intelligence. Actually, what it proved is the voters of Mass are just as dilusional as she is.
