See, Say, Pile On The Blame

We’ve now heard Trump blamed for almost everything since he took office, and even for things before he took office like Russia election meddling. To accept some part of it all would be virtually impossible for one man to accomplish. It strains any credulity.

They tried this with Bush and they never did it to Obama. But now they took it to such staggering heights that everything by default is Trump’s fault, going back 8 years.

It makes me wonder what the Left would do without their Scapegoat in Chief? This could be dismissed if it were from the fringes of the Left, but it isn’t. The blame fest has come from lamestream media. It comes from top tiers of the Democrat party and all their candidates, too. Is there a Democrat running who hasn’t blamed Trump for everything?

I am going to leave this right here, though in the hands of our enemies that is a dangerous tool for them to have access to. As if that has not occurred to the Left how it could be used? But they probably think anything bad that comes from their blame campaign can also be blamed on Trump – the more the better. They don’t care about the damage.

Surely shady people in dark places are fascinated by this playing out on a public stage, in this reactional way. And it has been very public. It encourages others, like even the Mayor of London, to chime in. He has his own low approval turmoils but that doesn’t stop him from lashing out in defiance at Trump. For what, when did Trump do anything to him?

No, that is beside the point. It seems to be open season. Get into any trouble or political problems, just blame Trump to score political points. Then use them, save them, collect and trade them with others; blame Trump has become the new currency. Even an international one. It attracts support and is used to raise money, and spent like capital.

About the only thing coming even close to this phenomena is the blame Mitch McConnell campaign. The Left is having a field day tying Mitch’s name to every problem and issue, from Russia to the latest shootings. The left cleverly (I shouldn’t call it clever) attaches cute hashtags to every event using Mitch. Fill in the blank so they can get it trending.

This creates another new phenomena in the social media age for trolls, Leftists, or hashtag architects. Their personal net-value at a given time — politically and socially — is only determined by what is trending on Twitter. These titans of social media are hashtag warriors, radicalized with whatever groups of others they are connected.

Against these blue waves of fascism stands one man, armed with his Twitter account. Instead of president, I’ll call Trump the Pope of Twitter. Not every foe of Trump is worthy of his Twitter arsenal, but when they are singled out they feel the sting of social media themselves. Their fifteen minuets of fame turns into fifteen minutes of flames.

Many of them can’t take the pressure or heat. Some of them have a hard time going back into the hole they came out of after the fact. It is the equalizer. Hashtag that.

Some of those hashtag warriors would accuse Trump of weaponizing Twitter or social media. But no, that is exactly what they’ve done. Trump is only engaging on their terms. They politicize and weaponize every platform they touch. It is the nature of radicals. It is who they are. But they cry when the social media winds are not in their favor.

Obama warns: dangers of social media

Oh, it’s another little helpful warning from Obama’s bully police. Something to take very seriously, har har.

Washington Examiner

Obama, who was interviewed by Prince Harry for the BBC, did not mention Trump by name, though his comments appeared to be directed at Trump who frequently takes to Twitter to express himself.

“One of the dangers of the Internet is that people can have entirely different realities,” Obama said. “They can be cocooned in information that reinforces their current biases.”

“The question has to do with how do we harness this technology in a way that allows a multiplicity of voices, allows a diversity of views, but doesn’t lead to a Balkanization of society and allows ways of finding common ground.”

Mr. Irresponsibility himself lectures us. I don’t know about everybody else, but I’m sick of his lectures.

From the guy who it turns out did absolutely nothing in response to all the dangers on social media and threats he was supposedly seeing.

A serious WaPo story had the rundown of the timeline where Obama didn’t seem to care much about any of that.

Closer to home for Americans, Russian government trolls in 2012 went after a U.S. ambassador for the first time on social media, inundating his Twitter account with threats.

But for U.S. officials, the real wake-up call came in early 2014 when the Russians annexed Crimea and backed separatists in eastern Ukraine. An intercepted Russian military intelligence report dated February 2014 documented how Moscow created fake personas to spread disinformation on social media to buttress its broader military campaign.

Imagine this lecture coming from the guy who never got any real opposition on anything? The guy who used social media as his personal playground for all his drooling sycophants to dominate the airwaves. The Obama that couldn’t get him enough FB attention — with his hordes of fake followers on social media. Sickening to listen to this crap he spews.

What about the dangers from what he did? The danger of his 20 trillion dollar debt? The danger of ignoring the largest crime-terrorist organization to get some phony deal with Iran? His web of deceit really has no ends.

We had 8 years of this threat-in-chief in the White House undermining government, weaponizing information and their politicization of every department. Now, he is worried about social media — very dangerous. Balkanization? Surely you are joking. That’s why he came out talking about dangers of our social media, to divert from his record.

And, by the way, all of those things well before Donald Trump ever appeared on the scene. Now all their fingers point to Trump. What hubris, deflection and deception. Now they need to have an investigation into Trump! Really, absurd.

Russia’s infowars by media and Left

CNN has put on its thinking cap again, or not, in reporting this about Russia’s agenda.

(CNN)A former National Security Council employee who served in the White House under President Barack Obama has issued a harsh rebuke of Russia President Vladimir Putin, saying his actions during the 2016 election amount to “21st-century information warfare.”

Responding to reports that 126 million Americans saw Russian-linked Facebook content during and after the 2016 presidential campaign, Samantha Vinograd told CNN anchor Chris Cuomo on “New Day” Tuesday that “Putin is engaging in digital psyops, or psychological operations.”

She continued, “He’s using misinformation to try to sow divisions in the United States. His view is, the more divided we are here at home, the weaker we’re going to be.”

Information warfare, really, from the folks who weaponized everything against the people, including information. And they did it with the help of the media. Remember those polls, reports, dirty dossier and accepting results? The more divided the weaker? Digest that.

From the mouths of babs. (Obama babs) Lets review this because some media are super-thick. If the objective was sowing division in the US, then clear the deck media has done a bang up job. It doesn’t need Russia’s interference for that — thank you very much.

It’s a laugh to hear them worried and warning about division. From people who boycotted Trump’s inauguration and emotionally crumbled when Hillary lost. And they haven’t accepted it any better since. But listen to them talk about Putin sowing division in the US, using an Obamafile to do it. It’s laughable. Then media carries their narrative as if they are a credible authority. Talk about psy-ops, that is rich.

I’d also like to remind them that the electorate decides elections, not Facebook ads.

But then who needs Facebook when we have a candidate and DNC to create a dirty dossier, with Russian sources, and then inject it into the bloodstream of media and government?

Social media, cycle of abuse

This is why the Onion is one of my favorite go-to sources for breaking news.
NEWS IN BRIEF — The Onion
January 11, 2016

SAN DIEGO—Explaining that she had needed a few months to herself to “get back to the right emotional place,” local woman Laura Berman told reporters Monday she finally felt ready to start receiving completely unsolicited and extremely vulgar messages again. “It was really important to have some time to regroup, but now I think I’m ready to put myself out there again,” said Berman, who stated that, after careful consideration, she has decided to open herself back up to a relentless barrage of sexually explicit and unwelcome emails and texts from strangers. “Call me old-fashioned, but I’m glad I waited until I was mentally prepared to start [opening crude and offensive messages from men who I’ve only spoken to briefly, if at all, that make me feel incredibly uncomfortable, and then after I’ve politely asked them to stop, being bombarded with obscene insults and sometimes violent threats that make me terrified to even look at my phone]. I think it’s time.” At press time, Berman reportedly expressed surprise at how easy it was to get back in the swing of things after opening three consecutive messages containing photos of various unknown men’s genitals.

Fine satire. No comment from Hillary’s server on the matter. Somewhere in there is a lesson to women and voters who support Hillary.

President Hashtag and First-Lady Twitter

Congressman Mike Rogers told Face the Nation that “you can’t base your policy on what’s trending on Twitter”. Talk about a succinct soundbite.

Time and again this is what the White House does. Though in many cases it drums up the social media on a particular topic, then plays off the stir it creates.

Before Speaker Boehner acted on a Select Committee, there were calls for him to do just that. However, when you looked at his twitter feed, it was littered with liberals saying he needs to “act on UI”, the most important issue at the present — unemployment insurance extension. It was offset by an equal number of calls to raise “minimum wage now”.

Mark Steyn has an excellent column talking about Michelle Obama’s appeal to terrorists to let the girls go, again via the hashtag. Stein posits #Bring Back Our Balls, which says more on foreign policy in Hashtag form than anything the White House demonstrated.

The first actually morphs into the other two: (know which one is real?)

Remember, it was even NYT’ David Brooks, who said Obama has a manhood problem.

“And let’s face it, Obama, whether deservedly or not, does have a — I’ll say it crudely — but a manhood problem in the Middle East,” he continued. “Is he tough enough to stand up to somebody like Assad or somebody like Putin? I think a lot of the rap is unfair, but certainly in the Middle East there is an assumption that he’s not tough enough.”

“From Yalta to health care,” Mr. Brooks interjected, receiving laughs. [ha ha]

In the Ukraine and Russia debacle, you had the State Dep. say Russia, i.e. Putin, is not honoring the hashtag. So “hashtag” has become an pseudo-icon, euphemism for policy. A place where having millions of followers, and composites, in social media somehow translates to political power.

A similar strategy in Egypt during the Arab Spring movement, wherein the US using social media thought it could influence politics and policy. The Egypt thing worked rather well.

Social media is the pseudo-replacement for diplomacy and getting tough policy. Or as Steyn so eloquently puts it: #BringBackOurBalls

“It is hard not to have total contempt for a political culture that thinks the picture at right is a useful contribution to rescuing 276 schoolgirls kidnapped by jihadist savages in Nigeria. Yet some pajama boy at the White House evidently felt getting the First Lady to pose with this week’s Hashtag of Western Impotence would reflect well upon the Administration. The horrible thing is they may be right: Michelle showed she cared – on social media! – and that’s all that matters, isn’t it?

Just as the last floppo hashtag, #WeStandWithUkraine, didn’t actually involve standing with Ukraine, so #BringBackOurGirls doesn’t require bringing back our girls. There are only a half-dozen special forces around the planet capable of doing that without getting most or all of the hostages killed: the British, the French, the Americans, Israelis, Germans, Aussies, maybe a couple of others. So, unless something of that nature is being lined up, those schoolgirls are headed into slavery, and the wretched pleading passivity of Mrs Obama’s hashtag is just a form of moral preening.

But then what isn’t? The blogger Daniel Payne wrote this week that “modern liberalism, at its core, is an ideology of talking, not doing”. He was musing on a press release for some or other “Day of Action” that is, as usual, a day of inaction:

Diverse grassroots groups are organizing and participating in events such as walks, rallies and concerts and calling on government to reduce climate pollution, transition off fossil fuels and commit to a clean energy future.

It’s that easy! You go to a concert and someone “calls on government” to do something, and the world gets fixed.

Is it any wonder why they need skilled fiction writers and talking-point editors in this regime? Maybe in Africa or the Middle East they are just having a hard time reading our #Hashtags ? Just saying.

Never mind how dumb or stupid it looks and sounds. Progressives never cared about that, which goes to the next point. The prior post shows MoveOn.UG has its panties in a bunch drawing their own red lines. Do not label Boko Haram a terrorist organization, they say. No, if you don’t think kidnapping over 250 girls and the unlimited violence and killing qualifies as terrorism, not to mention their aspirations, then you sir might qualify as a liberal progressive.

As my friend Just Gene says, ‘it’s so easy to be a Democrat: they don’t have to worry about hypocrisy and can repeal reality whenever they chose.’ What does truth mean to them anyway? There is no accountability if you are a liberal. Something is whatever you want it to be. Or hashtag #Eatyourheartout , I’m a Democrat, able to solve foreign crises with #hashtag#.

I almost long for the days of Baghdad Bob, when everyone chuckled and agreed it was propaganda. Today we have Jay Carney still at the podium. Yet no hook comes from the wings to yank him off stage. On the contrary, Obama just hired better writers.
