What’s in a meeting?

…Billed as the most significant meeting in recent times?

A lot of built up anticipations. It’s what the Left and media do. The fallout.

A simple metaphor could be appropriate to set the stage for the Russian talk: Obama cocked the gun and team Trump is now trying to disarm the weapon, particularly on Syria. Another way you could look at it is: there is a three-alarm fire and the Trump administration is the fire department.responding. No matter what it takes to get it under control and put it out, there is major damage that cannot be avoided. Coming to terms with that view is necessary.

Two items lead: 1) mentioning the Russian meddling, 2) talk on cease fire in Syria.

So Syria is on the table as a major issue. Let’s remember how Russia got there, by way of Obama and an invitation. But now that Russia is there, let’s all talk about what to do and how to fix it. (some hubris) Even Ukraine, per any mention, is much the same.

Naturally, Putin and Russia would rather deal with — realistically or not — a marginal issue like Syria. There is suddenly talk of Assad leaving, at some point, and more future discussion. Of course, Putin seems willing to discuss that. (no surprise) Now that they are in there, they will have a controlling interest in it and the region — by propping up a vulnerable dictator. See the way it works?

The question now is do we play along by accepting those premises? Again, because it is centrally important, they are there by intervention and will benefit through their current involvement, in the aftermath decisions. It’s like having the arsonist stick around to help deal with the damage from the fire. You welcome his help. What he is doing there in the first place is dismissed as unimportant. That’s the strategy.

I am a bit of an ideologue on Russia. They aren’t really ideologues but opportunists.

Russia for its part wants meeting talks to be about distant side issues — important as they might seem — rather than dealing with the central concerns on Russia. Media assists on that. As long as Putin keeps the conversation about those marginal things he’s ahead. He can debate details or denials on those matters without touching his family jewels. So they have a bargaining chip they stole along the way. Assad, Syrian crisis, ISIS, refugees?

Yet here we are; what the left wants to talk about is elections. Our crown jewels seem to be on the table, or that is the appearance. Then media wants to control the interpretation of any results. Breaking through arbitrary barriers is a central key.

BTW: I forgot to add that the 3-alarm fire was called in and confirmed on 1/20/17.

Cooper illustates the Russian debacle

I have sadly fallen into an alternative reality. It is not by choice. I watched a CNN segment on Anderson Cooper that illustrates a huge political problem in America.

However, this confirmation of the problem comes ironically from two different players, in almost reversed positions from their respective sides. An irony of juxtaposition.

Stephen Cohen —

“American scholar and professor emeritus of Russian studies at Princeton University and New York University”…”During the 2014 unrest in Ukraine, Cohen drew criticism for his “pro-Russian” views with sources describing him as an apologist for Putin and the Russian government. Cohen personally describes himself as an American “dissenter” and argues that the media stifle anyone who even tries to understand the situation from the Kremlin’s perspective while stigmatizing them as Putin apologists for doing so. [Wikipedia]

In an article in The Nation, Cohen stated that the US political-media establishment was silent about “Kiev’s atrocities” in the Donbass region. His article was, in turn, criticized by Cathy Young as “error-riddled” narrative and “embarrassing” repetition of Kremlin propaganda.

Gary Kasparov — Most people know Kasparov as the famous chess champion but recently as a great authority on all things Russia. His new book is “Winter is coming”.

On the eve of Secretary Tillerson’s visit to Russia, after the Syria missile message, Cohen takes the side of questioning everything about the missile strike to questioning the intentions of Trump. Never mind the intentions of one Vladimir Putin.

He claims tensions have never been higher between US and Russia that we were never so close to war and that this is a new cold war high in the relationship. That mantra should sound familiar. But everyone emphasizes Cohen’s foremost expertise on Russia.

That’s exactly where Kasparov comes in. He was astonished how this mantra leaves Putin’s intentions unchallenged — by intent or not. He was visibly offended. Knowing full well some of the limits and trail of dead bodies in Putin’s wake, he unloaded on Cohen’s reasoning ability. Ah, and that is exactly where liberals hate being challenged. Because emotion and politics are a driving force, it replaces their reasoning ability. He called Cohen’s brand of politics towing the Kremlin line.

Of course, to his pedigree, Cohen goes on the offensive against the Trump administration and Tillerson, for his ties to Russia. Okay Tillerson, or Trump for that matter, are compromised by Russia but he is not. Then he took the Russian perspective that he sees no evidence or proof that either Syria or Russia was involved in the chemical attack.

Kasparov pointed out that Cohen’s were the same talking points the Kremlin and Putin are using, to point blame everywhere else, to us and terrorists, rather than at Assad. Then he asserted the same thing Putin said, that this chemical was possibly a terrorist stockpile hit during a bombing run. Well, but days after Russia and Syria planes were trying to destroy evidence by more bombing. So why would they be trying to cover it up and destroy evidence, even bombing the hospital after 5 hours — if terrorists or rebels were responsible for the gas attack?

Kasparov seems to nail the box of Cohen’s positioning shut. He tells Cohen that Russia has long used anti-American dissent as a core in their propaganda.

There you have it — if it is not obvious — here is an American skeptic, dissenter, professor, academic and expert representing the Russia side of things and a Russian representing the US side of things. Striking irony.

Kucinich and Marxist left up to same old agenda

Occasionally I have to turn back to old reliable sources for greater information. Ones that have, for me, proven over time to be accurate. Take Accuracy in the Media, for example.

Fox Commentator in Bed with Kim Jong-un

by Cliff Kincaid on April 12, 2017 | AIM

The Epoch Times newspaper is currently running an editorial series called “The Dead End of Communism” that includes a detailed discussion of the diabolical, even Satanic, roots of Karl Marx, the father of communism. Looking at his writings in detail, the authors document how his goal was “to enact a sort of vengeance against heaven.” Contrary to his “progressive” profile, Marx hated humanity and life on earth. His appeal was that he promised a heaven on earth. But it turned out to be hell for those living under it.

Communism has killed more than 100 million people, and millions more are at risk of death. The people of South Korea and other countries are currently in the crosshairs of Communist North Korea’s nuclear weapons program. The communist ruler, Kim Jong-un, has even threatened America with a nuclear attack.

The North Korean nuclear weapons program was assisted by President Bill Clinton’s administration, in the name of stopping it, and the Obama administration did little to contain it. It’s likely that former President Barack Obama informed President Donald Trump about this growing problem, and that this helps explain why Trump has been so concerned, even preoccupied, with the North Korean nuclear threat since he took office.

Of course, the North Korean regime could not survive without the assistance of its communist neighbor, China. So communism is not itself dead. It is very much alive and a real threat. […/ see]

Absolutely, the old Dennis Kucinich is up to his tricks again. Occasionally you get a clip of him sounding reasonable on some issue or other.

But then reality invades when you see what he is doing and passionate about. There can be no doubt what his agenda is and who’s side he is on.

Still, he uses the banner of peace as cover for his real political agenda — as usual. Except now they have made him a Fox News contributor, telling me even Fox either fell prey to his politics, or never new his real political bent — much less the “peace” one.

Hungary to rescue Christians

The First Country to Officially Defend Christians Persecuted by ISIS

Hungary has drawn criticism for favoring Christian over Muslim refugees from Syria and Iraq.
Christianity Today

This week, Hungary, which has during the past year come under pressure for its handling of Europe’s mass migration crisis, has become the first government to open an office specifically to address the persecution of Christians in the Middle East and Europe.

“Today, Christianity has become the most persecuted religion, where out of five people killed [for] religious reasons, four of them are Christians,” Catholic News Agency (CNA) quoted Hungary’s Minister for Human Resources, Zoltan Balog, as saying. “In 81 countries around the world, Christians are persecuted, and 200 million Christians live in areas where they are discriminated against. Millions of Christian lives are threatened by followers of radical religious ideologies.”

Yet at the same time, many of our leaders like Obama and Hillary Clinton, along with countless subordinate officials, refuse to call them Radical Islamic Terrorists.

But they have seen fit to condemn the Crusades or criticize Christians whenever possible. And they do throw around words like Islamaphobia to describe their own political critics.

Faced with confronting ethnic or religious cleansing, they cannot be forced to utter the words radical Islamic terrorists. That could offend Muslims. But they can call out critics of their refugee policy that caters to Muslims as bigots. These leaders and officials worry about families of illegal immigrants or Muslims being ripped apart byt the rule of law, yet cannot condemn the slaughter of Christian families and cleansing in Iraq and Syria.

At least Hungary can call it out and recognize it — for the human rights catastrophe it is.

Obama the agent of the enemy

A reminder that in 2014, Claire Lopez diagnosed the mission of Obama and little has changed since. It’s time the cold truth is finally known. What we have here is not a communication failure, what we have is full blown treason.

CIA Officer: Obama is a Muslim Agent with Brotherhood Ties to Take Down USA

by Jason DeWitt | November 2015 | Top Right News

Clare Lopez is a former CIA officer, and she is risking her professional career to call out President Barack Obama in the biggest way possible.

Lopez is well respected in the intelligence community and worked in the Reagan White House. After two decades in the field with the CIA, and as an instructor for special forces and intelligence students, Lopez is now with the Center for Security Policy managing the counter-jihad and Shariah programs.

Now, she is claiming Obama is why America has completely “switched sides” during the war on terrorism. America is now supporting the enemy, especially through the Muslim Brotherhood.

Lopez has been unwilling to speak in public, but has confined with a few members of the House of Representatives her serious concerns about Obama’s motivations about foreign policy decisions.

Lopez noted that the war on terrorism has always been about stopping the spread of Shariah Islamic law, until Obama started to make major changes which clearly supported the Muslim Brotherhood’s jihadist interests.

She said the global war on terror had been an effort to “stay free of Shariah,” or repressive Islamic law, until the Obama administration began siding with such jihadist groups as the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates.

The transition was easy for Obama, who already hates American values and principles as an ideologically radical…

Why the switch?

Lopez explained, when the so-called Arab Spring appeared in late 2010, “It was time to bring down the secular Muslim rulers who did not enforce Islamic law. And America helped.”

And why would Obama want to do that?

As she told WND earlier this month, Lopez believed the Muslim Brotherhood has thoroughly infiltrated the Obama administration and other branches of the federal government.

She also came to the conclusion Obama had essentially the same goals in the Mideast as the late Osama bin Laden: “to remove American power and influence, including military forces, from Islamic lands.”

And,

The former CIA operative said, “as Israel fought enemies on all sides to remain free, secure and Jewish, America began to move away from Israel and toward its Muslim enemies. And, as Iran moved inexorably toward a deliverable nuclear weapons capability, America helped.”

In addition, Lopez claims that the only reason Obama approved of the killing of Osama bin Laden is he simply couldn’t ignore the chance without looking suspicious. The opportunity presented himself, and he “couldn’t delay it any longer.”

Please share this post with friends on Facebook and Twitter. Every patriot should learn just what side our President is on!

Yet this mission continues and he remains committed to his agenda. Then came the Iran deal on top of it. His agenda has slithered along undeterred.

TRUMPED UP BAN

So with all the flurry over Trump’s remarks it is easy to get swept away in the ensuing flood of criticisms.

But really, what was so bad about his ban proposal? Forget the Marxist Left, they call everything names and they were licking their lips at this one. But if reason prevails, then there is a lot to consider on his proposal. Religious, Islamic fascists declared war on us.

Trump’s Muslim Ban Is Not ‘Fascist,’ and Is Not Unconstitutional

by John Hayward | 8 Dec 2015
Breitbart

Because it has caused a great deal of controversy (to put it mildly), it seems appropriate to quote the “Donald J. Trump Statement On Preventing Muslim Immigration” in full:

Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on. According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/12/08/trumps-muslim-ban-not-fascist-not-unconstitutional/

Great article on it. Have people realized that if we plan on screening out ISIS from our border, then that is a religious test? Why kid ourselves? That’s who is at war with us.

This all made me think that Hitler made a critical error. It was dumb that he didn’t just declare the the Third Reich a religion. Then he would have had our hands tied.

It seems that the people are ahead of the government and lawmakers. We understand what is happening. Obama loves to lecture that we just don’t understand, yet we are way ahead them. Of course they don’t listen to us which, is the second part of the problem.

When Trump makes a sensible statement that people agree with, their knee-jerk response is to blame him and all those who support him. Instead of realizing the people understand the problem, the ruling class elites stick their heads in the sand and tell us what they cannot do. Obama says, “What I will not do is…” That’s a confidence builder.

Kerry seeks no fly zone

And Obama flies by the seat of his pants on Syria.

CNN reports – 10/6/2015

Washington (CNN)Secretary of State John Kerry has raised the possibility of a no-fly zone in Syria to protect civilians even as President Barack Obama has consistently rejected the idea, several administration officials told CNN.

Turkey, France and the Syrian opposition have long pushed for a safe zone to protect civilians from Syrian airstrikes, but the Obama administration has repeatedly rejected the idea as too difficult to implement.

Senior administration officials said serious logistical concerns remain, including who would enforce it and the need to divert resources from the campaign against ISIS.

Senior administration officials said Russian airstrikes have repeatedly targeted CIA-backed rebels, despite Moscow’s assertion that it is only attacking ISIS targets.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/06/politics/john-kerry-no-fly-zone-syria-obama/

Obama says its too difficult calling the arguments for it mumbo jumbo. Funny how mumbo jumbo, from Obama, was in fashion in Libya and on Egypt.

“When I hear people offering up half-baked ideas as if they are solutions, or trying to downplay the challenges involved in this situation — what I’d like to see people ask is, specifically, precisely, what exactly would you do, and how would you fund it, and how would you sustain it. And typically, what you get is a bunch of mumbo jumbo.”

So his position is: ‘ask everyone else questions, not me.’ We get enough mumbo jumbo from Obama. I wonder where his Muslim Brotherhood help is? Speaking of “downplaying challenges involved,” we weren’t the ones calling ISIS a JV team mocking their abilities.

Though in the trails of is adventures, Obama’s own half-baked ideas have been on the menu despite the advice against it. No-fly zones were all the rage in Libya — which worked out real well.

Barry has an excuse for every type of action mentioned, from no-fly zones to aiding the rebels to helping Kurds. He mocks any suggestions for not appreciating the complexities. Obama had approved a training program, which netted 4 or 5 trained fighters in the 500 million dollar program. Now that plan is being scrapped. Mission failure complete.

Obama said of the no fly zone proposals:

“…but my job is to make sure that whatever we do we are doing in a way that serves the national security interests of the American people, that doesn’t lead to us getting into things that we can’t get out of or that we cannot do effectively.”

His job is saving his ass from shame or embarrassment, which he seems to be getting in spades for not doing anything. Only in Obama’s utopian reality did he expect to be commended for not doing something. Now he complains about the difficulties of possibly having to do something. National security interests of American people? When has he worried about that: Benghazi, border, sanctuary cities, executive amnesty, denying the ISIS threat, illegal alien crimes, not having a strategy, enforcing the law, answers for Benghazi, Iran nuclear deal.(speaking of getting into bad deals)

Now that Russia has inserted itself in the middle of Syria, it seems Putin has again helped Obama by creating another excuse. Barry owes Vlad for the efforts. He criticizes their efforts while it creates cover.

Well, Obama already made a big mess in Libya, and gave a big assist in Egypt’s disaster a few years ago. He is now reaching for strategy on Syria, and for ISIS. He decided long ago not to do anything there. So it is a matter of condemning any suggestions.

Obama and Kerry have already applied their boilerplate explanation on what Russia is doing. They “are acting out of weakness.”

At this point maybe the military is hoping Obama doesn’t have any more half-baked ideas of his own up his sleeve. But then clearly the major security threat is climate change anyway. Never mind the climate coming from Moscow is not very hospitable — and global temps are spiking.

I got an idea. Why can’t Obama call Russia and Putin racist and tell them they are only doing this because he’s black. They would never do this if he was white.

Obama’s path of treason

Top General Admitting That Obama Knowingly Armed ISIS Committing Treason

Monday, August 17, 2015 | Before its news

WHEN DOES THE IMPOSTER IN CHIEF END UP IN LEAVENWORTH WAITING FOR HIS LONG WALK TO THE GALLOWS?

Forget blaming the “Evil Republicans,” forget blaming Fox News, forget blaming the “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy,” forget blaming race, forget blaming climate change, or lack of climate change, or any other damn thing liberals will come up with as an excuse to exercise their feigned outrage when the rest of the sane people in the country call His Highness’s Ass the TRAITOR that he is. I know how much liberals HATE facts, but they’re just going to have to deal with them here. As my favorite conservative talk show host Andrew Wilkow likes to say, “We’re right, they’re wrong. That’s the end of the story. The arguments here cannot be broken.” I’m [willing] to bet, many of you have a hard time looking in the mirror when you finish reading this, knowing that you did not get involved.

Article III, Section 3 of the United States Constitution:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.
The Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason, but no attainder of treason shall work corruption of blood, or forfeiture except during the life of the person attainted.

Since liberals have an uncanny knack for what they call “reading between the lines,” I’ll further elaborate on Treason a bit.

Just so there is no confusion, “the mere attempt to provide support” is TREASON.

So the story goes on as does the case against him, as he continues. Obama is an enigma; a living antithesis to the Constitution. He swore to uphold the very thing he is hell bent on violating and destroying.

Obama, the judge of weakness

Obama’s standard response to our foes’ aggressive attacks on its neighbors, or throwing their weight around, is….. wait, ready for it….they are operating “out of weakness.”

Now that Russia has sent it’s military and air force into Syria to help Assad, Obama and the administration claim Russia acted out of weakness.

“Mr Putin had to go into Syria not out of strength but out of weakness, because his client, Mr Assad, was crumbling and it was insufficient for him simply to send them arms and money. Now he’s got to put in his own planes and pilots. Iran and Assad make up Putin’s coalition at the moment. The rest of the world makes up ours. So, these are hard challenges, they are ones we are going to continue to pursue.” He predicts Russia will get into a quagmire.

The line gets as old and tired as any of Obama’s tactics do. But its the standard line whenever he is challenged that the opponent is operating out of weakness. There could be an incoming nuclear warhead and he’d declare the source is weakness. Hopefully we won’t have that proved. At least now every enemy and ally of ours knows what the verbal response will be.

Putin invaded Crimea, Obama said he was acting out of weakness. Russia bullies its neighbors and Obama defines it as weakness. Once in a while, Obama could try a new script. Change it up a bit at least.

And when Romney suggested Russia is still a threat and a foe, Obama said the 80’s called and wants their foreign policy back. But Obama’s foreign policy, if you can call it one, is making such great strides isn’t it? Right after Putin annexed Crimea he set his sights on Ukraine. Evidently feeling weaker than ever, he injected Russia there.

Sure desperate people do terrible things. But opportunists are willing and ready to seize an advantage at the proper moment, for maximum gain. That someone gives and creates those opportunities for them is an egregious error.

In March 2014, Kerry ran out to deliver the talking point on ABC’s Face the Nation:

“You just don’t in the 21st century behave in 19th century fashion by invading another country…. That’s not the act of somebody who’s strong.“ Kerry said Putin was acting out of “weakness” and “desperation.”

Obama claimed Putin and Russia was “acting out of weakness, not out of strength,” regarding their annexing of Crimea. Countries usually invade other countries when they feel weak. So the script, regardless what Putin does, is to say he’s operating out of weakness. Obama can’t change their narrative.

Now Obama is flexing his mouthpiece, again. Josh Earnest lectured:
“Russia is not flexing its muscles when it comes to Syria, but it’s propping up an investment about to go south.”

Obama said on Putin’s intervention in Syria:

“I want Russia to be successful. This is not a contest between the United States and Russia. It is in our interests for Russia to be a responsible actor on the world stage that can share burdens with us … because the problems we have are big.”

Just once, I wish Obama wanted us to be successful. But that could make us appear exceptional, and we can’t have that.

Putin putin’ on the blitz

Revealed: The satellite photos that prove Putin is still arming Assad to shore up his embattled regime in defiance of the West

  • Vladimir Putin has deployed at least 16 fast attack jets to a base in Syria
  • He has also sent in six T-90 Main Battle Tanks and helicopter gunships
  • Satellite photographs suggest Putin is planning ground attacks in Syria
  • Putin is set to address the United Nations General Assembly on Monday

By Darren Boyle for MailOnline

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a number of fast attack jets, tanks, armoured personnel carriers and artillery pieces to Syria to prop up struggling dictator Basher al-Assad.

New satellite figures have shown a number of Su-24 and Su30Sm fighters, Mi-24 helicopters and T-90 main battle tanks at Bassel al-Assad International Airport in the government-controlled coastal city of Latakia.

In addition to the advanced military hardware, satellite imagery has shown the construction of new buildings around the possibly to support the deployment of Russian forces on the ground. […/]

I wonder how much affect this has had on the refugee crisis flowing from there? I suppose there is a chance that they could push ISIS mostly into Iraq. That prompts other probing questions. And Global Warming is the biggest threat of our time? Speaking of major world events, isn’t it about time Obama goes on another vacation?

And then there’s a deal being promoted by Cameron:

Guardian

David Cameron arrives at the United Nations on Sunday hoping to work with other countries on a deal to end Syria’s bitter civil war, a deal that could allow its president, Bashar al-Assad, to stay in power for an interim period.

Durbin, read my lips….

Sen. Durbin’s Jihad Caucus
Frank Gaffney, Jr.
May 26, 2015

It seems Congress has caucuses for every imaginable cause. Now, the Senate has an informal Jihad Caucus led by its second-ranking Democrat, Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois.

He’s the man who wants Guantanamo Bay closed and its jihadists transferred to a prison in his state. He appears happy to rubber-stamp President Obama’s deal with Iran, that will assure its jihadists get the Bomb.

Last week, Sen. Durbin led thirteen other Democratic senators in urging the President to bring 65,000 Syrian refugees to America. If past practice is any guide, these would be almost all Muslims, from camps run by jihadists and selected by the Islamist-dominated United Nations.

The FBI told Congress recently it couldn’t vet such refugees.

Let’s tell Sen. Durbin: No more jihadists.
http://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/2015/05/26/sen-durbins-jihad-caucus/

Well, it’s not like they are an endangered species and we have to import them now for their own protection. The FBI “couldn’t” and probably wouldn’t “vet such refugees.”

….no new jihadists.

Lunacy in action

Lunatic alert: this time in Ithaca, NY at Cornell University campus. How dumb can a dean be? See the article.

“Scaffido casually endorses inviting an ISIS “freedom fighter’’ to conduct a “training camp” for students at the upstate Ithaca campus — bizarrely likening the activity to a sports camp.” – NY Post

Obviously he is a top contender for some kind of award from academia. That probably deserves one, to malign them as “freedom fighters” when they are anything but.

Obama and Cair hit same note on Kassig

Obama offered a statement on the beheading of aid worker, Peter Kassig:

Obama and Cair condemn evil act

Tech Times | November 17, 2014

“While ISIL revels in the slaughter of innocents, including Muslims, and is bent only on sowing death and destruction, Abdul-Rahman was a humanitarian who worked to save the lives of Syrians injured and dispossessed by the Syrian conflict,” Obama says. “While ISIL exploits the tragedy in Syria to advance their own selfish aims, Abdul-Rahman was so moved by the anguish and suffering of Syrian civilians that he traveled to Lebanon to work in a hospital treating refugees.”

And Cair issued a statement:

“Just as we have denounced previous killings of innocent civilians by the ISIS terrorist group, we condemn the barbaric murder of Peter Kassig and once again repudiate the anti-Islamic ideology that produces such brutality,” says CAIR in a statement. “We also offer our sincere condolences to Mr. Kassig’s family and loved ones.”

Read more: http://www.techtimes.com/articles/20352/20141117/isis-beheads-hostage-peter-kassig-obama-cair-condemn-evil-act.htm

That was a wonderful statement. Obama unwittingly outed his own political strategy. He said “ISIL exploits the tragedy in Syria to advance their own selfish aims,” and Obama exploits tragedy to advance his own selfish aims. It’s his M/O, even if creating tragedy.

I must have missed where ISIS has an “anti-Islamic ideology” which is causing this barbarism. That would require the willing suspension of disbelief. When did ISIS ever renounce or criticize Islam? Cair has the credibility of a skunk in the middle of the road.

Latest ISIS outrage

The most repulsive comparison I ever heard was the latest ISIS to Christians one. The talking point is there are extremists in both Islam and Christianity.

If ever there were polar opposites it would be ISIS and Christians. In fact, comparing Muslims and Christians is hardly possible. You can look around the world and see what Christians have done.

They helped build homes and communities, purify drinking water, teach farming and agriculture. The provide aid, food, and clothing in every disaster. They build schools and care for the sick. What do you see Muslims doing, besides blowing things up and killing people?

We can see what Christians consistently did in this country. Muslims were attacking this country since the very beginning. They want to compare that?

Michael Eric Dyson compared ISIS to Christians on MSNBC. (see video) So “we don’t have enough counter narratives when it comes to Islam,” says Peterson. Yea, that’s what we need more counter narratives. Except what narratives he is referring to.

That is probably the other underlining problem with their critique, they juxtapose gays (and civil rights) etc with the Christian persecutions going on right out in the open over in the Middle East. Can they not even address and discuss that atrocity, dare we say genocide? No, they must turn it around to make it about political correctness of gays.

Sure women’s rights is a problem too, but they must put it in context of abortion rights and gays. Meanwhile women are being stoned, beaten or killed for the most inexcusable reasons but they have to frame it in reproductive rights vernacular — as if that were the main problem. Give women abortion rights and they’ll be happy.

When Obama went to Africa and tried to sell them on same-sex marriage, they weren’t interested. Obama making the official State Dep position to promote gay rights around the globe probably is not a great sales pitch for America. Yet he told them in his Cairo address that we’ve been arrogant and dismissive toward their concerns in the past. Could trying to force gay rights on them make them like us any better?

But when it comes to Christian persecution he can’t even utter a word about it. He cannot bring it up with leaders or stand up for them. But he can stand up for a same sex couple trying to get married. Genocidal cleansing of Christians, women and children included, and he cannot make a public stand on it. Really now, can you compare IS or Islamic radicals to anything? It’s pure evil.

Johnathon Turley names the IS overseas contingency

Operation Voldemort: The War Which Must Not Be Named

October 7, 2014 by jonathanturley

There is an interesting dimension to the ongoing circumvention of the Constitution over our latest undeclared war. While some Administration officials are finally calling our attacks in Syria as a “war,” the discomfort over defining this indefinite campaign has led to equal discomfort over naming it. After two months of airstrikes and statements that the campaign will likely go on for years, the Administration still have not named this war. The choice would now seem obvious: Operation Voldemort, the war which must not be named.

Usually, the military loves to give inspiring names to its campaigns, though sometimes the name can reveal a bit of insecurity like “Operation Just Cause” in Panama — a name that only seemed to amplify the questions of the legality or legitimacy of the invasion.

[…./]

Source reference: Wall Street Journal

See more: http://jonathanturley.org/2014/10/07/operation-voldemort-the-war-which-must-not-be-named/

Name that operation, not that this administration is listening to anything.

He has it right, they purposely do not want to name it. They might be as divided over that as they are everything else? The Joint Chiefs could name it and Obama would say “no, I don’t like it.”

I suggested another alternate name could be “Operation Denial” – keeping it simple. They deny we are at war with those we deny we are at war with, who hold beliefs they deny… against what they deny is a problem, in a place they deny could be a problem. So Obama and the left are at war with their denial.

Or I thought another could be Obama’s ‘Operation: IS Not’. (I do like that one.) But notice they have no problem naming the Ebola mission. Maybe what we really need is a name for Obama’s Oval Office Occupancy Operation? Or maybe just ask ISIS what name they’d like, since Obama is willing to use the ISIL name or whatever name they choose to use? Notice their name is allowed to offend anyone. In fact, it is supposed to.

What about “Operation Nobel Peace Prize”?

Ebola ISIS threats – ground zero

On Ebola virus, the strategy is to treat it in Africa so it doesn’t come here. They claim the risk in the US will not be lowered until it is controlled over there. The latest talking point is we cannot eliminate our risk till we contain it there, that’s the only remedy.

On ISIS and terrorism, the philosophy is there’s no threat here so it is not a problem. Don’t worry about it.

Those two contrasts make a huge difference in policy terms. No attention given to the time factor. A failure to act can make a problem incrementally worse. Samantha Powers, who authored “The Problem from Hell” wrote about exactly that problem. In Bosnia she cried for intervention to combat or stop cleansing and genocide, but was summarily ignored. Then along came Bill Clinton’s delayed response, when he finally took action.

A problem from hell could be an incurable virus spreading, or an Islamic terror network raging across the countryside or borders. The existential threat of either is now seen only as a political issue, and responded to by that dictum. The people at risk are held hostage to politics and terrorists’ whims.

This is the type of treatment Obama has given ISIS. First it was a jay-vee team. Then it was a regional problem that didn’t involve us. Then when he does act he does so cosmetically in what I call dud strikes. Just enough to meet the perception of responding to a very real threat he previously ignored.

However, quite a different reaction to Ebola now. He wants all hands on deck but the same underlining problem exists even there. He denied it was a problem, and refused to take precautions. Then he does take precautions here but not banning travel. Let’s not go overboard in response. So he doesn’t cut off travel arguing it is doubtful that it will come here.

Of course that was the liberal talking point all along, even before his reaction. They claimed it did not pose a threat to us. Now he claims he is considering some tougher screening standards. Ya think? More dud strikes? Travel ban, not so much.

Remember when Captain Zero said he was pretty good at killing people? Like everything else he says that ends up on the trash heap of lies. Oh, he might be pretty good at lowering the defenses in this country which will lead to people getting hurt or killed, or sick. But as to preemptively killing people plotting to kill us, he’s on the golf course and at fundraisers talking up his game. Not so much on the battlefield where Islamic terrorists are running wild and free. Don’t try too hard to knockout the real threat, unless it is some obscure virus you need for a diversion of ‘saving lives’. Even that he is not very good at.

So now we have the FBI scanning the homeland for terrorists radicalized here or returning from the IS. We have CDC running around after the fact trying to contain a situation here. But we have everything under control. What is it about both issues that makes one very suspicious?

Rosie is off her meds again

VIDEO Just When You Thought She Couldn’t Get Any More Idiotic, Rosie O’Donnell Said This

Rosie O’Donnell, who is known for her conspiracy theories surrounding the tragic events of 9/11, voiced her opinion on the bombings on ISIS in Syria and what she said stunned the entire cast of The View.

In this clip of the popular morning show, O’Donnell says, “I can’t get out of my head that Syria has a lot of oil.” The group of hosts went silent following her statement.

She seems to think the U.S. has decided to enter Syria because of its’ oil, not the fact that ISIS has been murdering Americans on video while also threatening our country. Her theory is slightly outlandish.

O’Donnell goes on to say that she believes there is a financial agenda backing the ISIS bombings in Syria.

Is this a serious theory to consider? Probably not considering the same woman believes that Muslim terrorists weren’t responsible for the 9/11 tragedies.

So Rosie is on her oil kick. You know she didn’t think that up all by her lonesome. And a financial agenda in her conspiracy. Yep, she figured out Obama, finally. She apparently can’t get the voices out of her head.

Providence votes in disagreement

This takes a little explaining but I’ll try. The last few weeks reinforce my opinion that there just might be some method in all this madness. It’s a working theory.

Let me start by acknowledging all those loud voices against foreign involvements of any kind. Oh, it makes for some good soundbites. Generally, a lot of people agree with that evidenced by Ron Paul’s popularity. There are good points. There are also limits and extremes, though this is not about the validity of that theory.

Into that backdrop and sentiment came Obama into office. He attempted to project his success in that philosophy, as well as his overall ideology. Then came his second campaign and, besides all other problems, he made anti-war the central issue. “Osama bin Laden is Dead and GM is alive.” Biden said that was the bumper sticker for the campaign, despite reality. Obama’s inaction toward foreign wars was supposed to be his greatest achievement. And they eventually caught bin Laden, even if it was only a matter of time. He rode the victory lap long and hard on that right into the campaign.

Then came Benghazi. After years complaining that Bush took his eye off the ball, a terrorist attack happens. No sooner did it happen than he was figuratively and literally in full campaign mode when they began lying and standing truth on its head. They had already been spinning the Libya adventure, declaring it a validation of Obama’s approach and trying their organizing touch with their Muslim Brotherhood connections.

That was just the backdrop for what happened. As hard as team Obama tried to project his utopian vision, events took place to defy it. Well, they still argued that not only were they correct but things were going swimmingly smooth.(or they pointed to Bush) Regardless of the talk, one Mid-East uprising after another went awry under his studious leadership, if you followed their narrative about it all. They tried to reassure everyone things were working as planned. Biden had claimed Iraq would be their big success story.

But they were so busy running from and trying to rewrite Benghazi to notice what was happening — or to see the overall message. The people caught on but they didn’t. And they dug in even further, calling Benghazi a manufactured and made-up scandal just like they called Fast and Furious. It was standard protocol to deny any truth about it.

Here is the point. It was somewhere between the middle of his fist term and Benghazi. He painted a portrait that seemed nothing like reality, and the sales pitch for it became harder and harder. There never was an attempt to work with others — as Obama claimed he had always done. No, those lies aren’t the real point either. But what happened every time was as if divine providence proved him wrong.

As he was writing off Iraq as ‘his’ success story, it was falling apart. As he was betting on the Arab Spring, it got sprung by his Mo-Bros and radicals. Just like he’d declared success in Libya it fell apart. As he swore off action with a red line in Syria, with a warning not to use chemical weapons, what happened? Hello chemicals. He then declared it a success after Putin cut him off at the pass, and detoured it. Success was now an agreement, he claimed. He was applying the same negotiation strategy with Iran, and again prematurely calling it progress and success.

Now do you notice what happened every time, almost as if planned? The truth showed its head every time. So the message was always there, we could see it. I believe, and it is only my opinion, that the truth was saying “you cannot hide me, and I am not going away.” Despite what Obama did, it seemed truth would not be hidden from view. As stubbornly arrogant as Obama is, the truth appears as stubborn.

They start with deception: but the JV, regional ISIS begs to differ. No threats in this country, then people are caught at the border with ISIS ties ( plus those who got by). Napolitano said we had a border perception problem. Yea, a 20/20 problem. You can’t hide 60,000 illegals storming the border. Why make the statements? No shutdown of government, voila shutdown. Obamacare will save money, facts be damned. Clapper said we aren’t wittingly collecting Americans’ information. Obama said there was “ not even a smidgen of corruption” in the IRS scandal. Hello.

Obama rolled out his signature Obamacare putting so much emphasis on their success beforehand that it could not live up to it on any level. Even worse, the process to roll it out was so flawed it was laughable. Do you see a little humor in that? I know it wasn’t funny but it was like Providence was playing its hand again. The irony of truth, in spite of what they said and did. With all the ObamaCare hype, you’d think at least the problem-plagued program could roll out without creating even more disaster than it already was.

Even with help from mainstream media, they could not completely hide the truth. Benghazi blew up in their face, after they thought they had killed it. Then came the IRS scandal. Each time they defiantly ignored it. Then the sequester testified.

Obama portrays himself as patient and wise. Events don’t validate it. Almost the harder they try to project their narrative, someone is saying “not so fast…you can’t get away with all those lies.” You probably know what I think. But it would be hard to suggest Obama is going along completely undeterred. Oh, nothing has stopped him so far. No lightning bolts prevented his machinations. At the same time, the truth was not allowed to be buried. Lord knows they tried. Obama makes some pronouncement and within a day or two facts say the opposite. I have to see a little method to this madness. I almost look forward to the next pronouncement so truth can vote its conscience.

ABC: Syria refugee masses at Turkey’s border

The United Nations said the number of Syrian Kurds fleeing into neighbouring Turkey may have topped 100,000 and was likely to go much higher, as IS militants seized dozens of villages close to the border and advanced on the frontier town of Ayn al-Arab, known as Kobani in Kurdish. …./

“Islamic State are continuing to advance. Every place they pass through they kill, wound and kidnap people. Many people are missing and we believe they were kidnapped,” Welat Avar, a doctor, told Reuters by telephone from Kobani.

A Kurdish politician from Turkey who visited Kobani on Saturday said locals had told him IS fighters were beheading people as they went from village to village. …/

“Rather than a war this is a genocide operation … They are going into the villages and cutting the heads of one or two people and showing them to the villagers,” Ibrahim Binici, a deputy for Turkey’s pro-Kurdish HDP said.

Israel Warns of Iranian Sweet Talk; Says Nothing’s Changed

IPT

The international community is allowing the rise of ISIS to distract it from the far more dangerous prospect of a nuclear Iran, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz warned Wednesday. The comments followed his visit last week to the United States, where he met with senior State Department figures William Burns and Wendy Sherman.

“The Iranians are getting almost everything but giving almost nothing,” Steinitz told a Jerusalem news conference in which he expressed his belief that Iran is being far from truthful in its ongoing P5+1 nuclear talks. “Although it is important to defeat ISIS [Islamic State], if Iran gets nuclear weapons, it’s a different world for decades. This is the main threat to global security and should be the priority… I went [to Washington] concerned and I came back concerned,” Steinitz added. “I didn’t hear anything… that gave me hope.”

Protestors: ‘The Met Opera Glorifies Terrorism’

Protesters say ‘The Death of Klinghoffer’ justifies the 1985 murder of wheelchair-bound Jew Leon Klinghoffer

Israel Hayom reports:

The Met is scheduled to perform the opera between Oct. 20 and Nov. 15.

The opera deals with the death of Leon Klinghoffer, a Jewish passenger on the cruise ship Achille Lauro in 1985.

The ship was hijacked by Palestinian terrorists, who shot the wheelchair-bound Klinghoffer and threw him over board.

The opera’s critics say it justifies the killers’ actions and is prejudiced against Jews.

Supporters defend it on grounds of artistic freedom and claim it presents a thoughtful take on all sides.

Federal Employees Use Government Credit Cards at Casinos, Racetracks

Audit finds DOT has poor oversight over its travel card program

BY: Elizabeth Harrington

Department of Transportation (DOT) employees use government credit cards for cash advances at casinos and racetracks, according to a report by the Office of Inspector General (OIG).

Employees misused their government-issued travel cards in 2012, racking up $2.1 million in charges for personal items, and more than $180,000 in unauthorized cash advances while they were not on business trips.

The audit, released last week, examined the travel card program, which employees are authorized to use on hotels, transportation, and meals during government travel. The OIG found that the DOT does not have effective policies in place to prevent the government credit cards from being misused. In fact, the agency has no policy prohibiting employees from taking cash advances out at casinos.
