There’s a whole lot of shaking going on

Syria: Kurds, PKK, Asaad, Turkey, Isis, Russia. Put then all together and what do you have? A whole lot of shaking.

Washington: Trump, Pelosi, Schumer, Durbin, Rand Paul, Republicans, Democrats. Put them all together and what do you have? A mess. Did I forget media?

All these, of course, represent factions. We have factions in the USA. Certainly, then, you cannot expect people to be all on the same page. They all have their own interests, and their own ideologies. Now I’m not one for letting ideology, unadulterated, run all policy.

Sure I succumb to an ideology like everyone. But this idea that ideology is the be all end all would mean all one has to do is plug in their ideology to any given situation and voila, you have the solution. But it doesn’t work that way.

That would not require politicians or leaders but only an ideology everyone must adhere to. That sounds more like a communist China or other regime, sans the dictator who enforces it all. So the Communist Party rules in China, the Democrat Party rules here.

Some things you have to make the case for, some things you have to fight for. Indeed, some things may be impossible — that is outside the dictator to implement and force it. In the US, we typically wrestle with such things. Other regimes don’t have those “problems.”

Case in point, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer go to the White House to talk to Trump about problems in Syria. What do you think happens? Dems run out with their hair on fire, to the media, and say “the President had a meltdown”. Is any of all that predictable? Rather than just deal with an uncomfortable seat in the theater, Democrats would rather scream fire and run out. No, it isn’t proper but that is their predictable reaction.

But of course the only thing that Pelosi wants to deal with is her own caucus. She will immediately run out to fundraise off of it. Impeachment is actually the only thing on her caucus-craven mind. And how to guide that to a successful conclusion.

Damn the will of the people, damn 2016 elections, damn all immediate pressing problems, damn the volatile situation anywhere; full speed ahead on the impeachment train. Election 2020 is now the next destination. Ideology rules the sandbox.

President – “On A Happier Note”

A frosty terrorism response to Turkey, and on to politics as usual.

Sorry, but we have never had a genuine “happier note” with Obama. Clearly his golden rule is never let terrorism get in the way of your political agenda. Turkey no exception.

Obama’s presidency has been terrorism by other means. He worries about offending his BFF Mo-Bro and the greater Islamic family. Obama stokes fears of Global Warming.

On Wednesday, Obama took less than a minute giving condolences to Turkey, saying he “called President Erdoğan” this morning. Then he said “On a happier note.” turning to the politics of his meeting in Canada. No matter how hard he tries, his climate change, global warming agenda will not defeat terrorism.

Contrast Turkey with Orlando where he didn’t even bother to call the governor. I cannot think of a more disgusting example of a President than Barack Obama, or their nominee.

We were told by Loretta Lynch that love and compassion are the solution to the terrorism in Orlando. Maybe if the victims in San Diego would have given the shooter another baby shower or housewarming, the Islamists would have taken a shine to them?

Now Hillary says

FB: “Terrorists have struck again in the heart of one of our NATO allies—and all Americans stand united with the people of Turkey against this campaign of hatred and violence. Already, stories of heroism on the part of Turkish police are emerging, as their quick actions to confront the suspects may have prevented an even worse tragedy. Today’s attack in Istanbul only strengthens our resolve to defeat the forces of terrorism and radical jihadism around the world. And it reminds us that the United States cannot retreat. We must deepen our cooperation with our allies and partners in the Middle East and Europe to take on this threat. Such cooperation is essential to protecting the homeland and keeping our country safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the Turkish people.”

Do you mean “retreat” like you and Obama did in and after the Benghazi attack? You mean how you made excuses and lied about the source of that attack? You mean how we stood down our defense in response to that attack even while you were the chief proponent of military action in Libya? A place now known as a terrorist haven and failed state. Thanks.

John Kerry, live from Aspen, said:

“We are still collecting information and trying to ascertain what happened and who did it,” Secretary of State John Kerry told reporters Tuesday at the Aspen Ideas Festival. “And I won’t comment further on it except to say that this is daily fare. That’s why I say the first challenge we need to face is countering non-state violent actors.”

“Heigh-ho heigh-ho,” it’s off to collect we go…

We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
In our mine the whole day through
To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
Is what we like to do — Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

You can bet that if Obama does say more about Turkey’s terrorism attack, it will be to lecture Christians for their reaction, lack of empathy, patience, or some nonsense. The brutal truth of the Islamic war on the West to be buried in a subterfuge of political attacks. Much like a terrorist cell, Obama really only has one thing in mind.

Senior Obama administration officials who briefed reporters on the Syrian airstrikes said an al Qaeda group known as Khorasan was attacked after intelligence reports indicated that it posed an imminent threat of attack.

ABC: Syria refugee masses at Turkey’s border

The United Nations said the number of Syrian Kurds fleeing into neighbouring Turkey may have topped 100,000 and was likely to go much higher, as IS militants seized dozens of villages close to the border and advanced on the frontier town of Ayn al-Arab, known as Kobani in Kurdish. …./

“Islamic State are continuing to advance. Every place they pass through they kill, wound and kidnap people. Many people are missing and we believe they were kidnapped,” Welat Avar, a doctor, told Reuters by telephone from Kobani.

A Kurdish politician from Turkey who visited Kobani on Saturday said locals had told him IS fighters were beheading people as they went from village to village. …/

“Rather than a war this is a genocide operation … They are going into the villages and cutting the heads of one or two people and showing them to the villagers,” Ibrahim Binici, a deputy for Turkey’s pro-Kurdish HDP said.

Israel Warns of Iranian Sweet Talk; Says Nothing’s Changed

The international community is allowing the rise of ISIS to distract it from the far more dangerous prospect of a nuclear Iran, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz warned Wednesday. The comments followed his visit last week to the United States, where he met with senior State Department figures William Burns and Wendy Sherman.

“The Iranians are getting almost everything but giving almost nothing,” Steinitz told a Jerusalem news conference in which he expressed his belief that Iran is being far from truthful in its ongoing P5+1 nuclear talks. “Although it is important to defeat ISIS [Islamic State], if Iran gets nuclear weapons, it’s a different world for decades. This is the main threat to global security and should be the priority… I went [to Washington] concerned and I came back concerned,” Steinitz added. “I didn’t hear anything… that gave me hope.”

Protestors: ‘The Met Opera Glorifies Terrorism’

Protesters say ‘The Death of Klinghoffer’ justifies the 1985 murder of wheelchair-bound Jew Leon Klinghoffer

Israel Hayom reports:

The Met is scheduled to perform the opera between Oct. 20 and Nov. 15.

The opera deals with the death of Leon Klinghoffer, a Jewish passenger on the cruise ship Achille Lauro in 1985.

The ship was hijacked by Palestinian terrorists, who shot the wheelchair-bound Klinghoffer and threw him over board.

The opera’s critics say it justifies the killers’ actions and is prejudiced against Jews.

Supporters defend it on grounds of artistic freedom and claim it presents a thoughtful take on all sides.

Federal Employees Use Government Credit Cards at Casinos, Racetracks

Audit finds DOT has poor oversight over its travel card program

BY: Elizabeth Harrington

Department of Transportation (DOT) employees use government credit cards for cash advances at casinos and racetracks, according to a report by the Office of Inspector General (OIG).

Employees misused their government-issued travel cards in 2012, racking up $2.1 million in charges for personal items, and more than $180,000 in unauthorized cash advances while they were not on business trips.

The audit, released last week, examined the travel card program, which employees are authorized to use on hotels, transportation, and meals during government travel. The OIG found that the DOT does not have effective policies in place to prevent the government credit cards from being misused. In fact, the agency has no policy prohibiting employees from taking cash advances out at casinos.
