Protest to Protest and F-bombs

Media swivels on its head like the exorcist movie to cover the “massive protests” going on everywhere and “all over the world.”

Before they get too full of themselves, just listen and no one knows exactly what they are protesting. (I think we know it is basically anti–Trump) Actions of a man who was just sworn in, when they organized protests weeks before.

Funny how they describe the “energy” of the protest march as infectious but failed to read the energy levels of the election, even in blue states.

Nevertheless, leave it to CNN in their breaking news coverage on protests, the anchor said: “Oh, Madonna is speaking … we HAVE to go to Madonna.” (just have to go there)

Madonna said welcome to the “revolution of love” before listing off reasons she is upset. Then to saying F-U not once, not twice but three times before they cut it off. She got the trifecta. Not even a voice-over when it happened. “Revolution of Love” to F-bomb?

What is wrong with that? Throwing to Madonna live at a campaign rally, what did they think she was going to say? What happened to media’s concerns about young children listening, at the protest or on TV, being offended by hearing that language?

Yet they did not cut it on the first F-bomb, or the second, but the third F-bomb.

The President, the Pope and Politics

…and the Castro brothers.

“You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. [5] Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely?” —
James 4:4-5

Does the Pope understand, as he should, that the global warming-climate change agenda is really a political one? A seductive one at that. It has been exposed.

It’s just like a bait and switch. You may think you are taking a scientific approach, but science has been trumped by political, reason has morphed into political agenda. You can think you take a modern Christian perspective only to have the creation replace the Creator.

Just as the bait and switch above:

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. “–Matt 6:24 (Sermon on the Mount)

The old God vs. Mammon applies to the creation – worshiping crowd. Even though the Pope may think he is taking the righteous high ground, the whole agenda has been corrupted, and evolved into a socialism tenant. Who, or whom, is he really serving?

“We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.” –Rom 8:22

As much as Pope Francis is immersed in politics of the Climatology agenda, he goes to Cuba and meets with Castro but he is barred from meeting with dissidents. Of course.

Even the Leftist media can’t help but question the Cuba visit asking:
Is Pope Francis too soft on communism?

(CNN)But for the most part, the Pope has steered clear of overt political statements — much more so than his predecessors, says veteran Vatican-watcher John Thavis. And some conservatives are accusing Francis of going soft on communism.

Let’s see if he steers clear of political when he comes to the US? Going to the UN could put the lie to that notion. I doubt he will restrain political inferences.

BBC is asking questions too.

Is the Pope a Communist? (Listen to their inquisition – in new tab)

Social sin, unemployment, false god, money, liberation theology — it’s all packed in there. The conclusion to the piece is no he is not a communist, but what he is no one is quite sure.

But if he shares the propensities of Raul Castro, along with other communists and socialists, like Obama and radical leftists, then how far removed is he from communism? Or if he is a willing tool of the same, what difference does it really make? Used he will be.

Seems the Pope has plenty of Marxist, socialist friends. Whether he sought them out in the same way Obama did is a question. One wonders if that same fatal attraction Obama has for Marxist radicals he proudly admits to, could be the same element that welcomed Francis to the Papacy? The flirtation can be fatal.

For Obama’s part, he can intentionally play up the political agenda, especially with Francis, in order to later have the political references roundly criticized. Nothing could make Barry Soetoro-Barack Obama any happier than stirring critique of the RCC, or the Pope. (for his Islam friends) But then Francis comes from the same social community organizing background. It sets a rivalry on a large scale. One wonders if the subject of the Crusades comes up too?

Rendezvous with Reagan and Destiny

Flashback to the convention in 1964 and Reagan’s infamous “A Time For Choosing” speech. So many takeaway lines that would just as much apply to us today, even more so.

The point is not whether there are any Reagans today but whether this kind of common sense is now mainstream or deemed dead? Government rewrites the Constitution so that anything in their schemes can mean public use for confiscation of private property.

Government rules by fiat to suite it’s own interests. If you haven’t seen that your eyes aren’t open. It’s the same old story…

Excerpt from A Time for Choosing: (video below)

“Now it doesn’t require expropriation and confiscation of private property or business to impose socialism on a people. What does it mean if you own the deed or the title to your business or property if the government holds the life and death over that business or property? And such machinery already exists; the government can find some charge against any concern it chooses to prosecute. Every businessman has his own tale of harassment.

“Somewhere a perversion has taken place. Our natural unalienable rights are now considered to be a dispensation of government. And freedom has never been so fragile, so close to slipping from our grasp as it is at this moment. Our Democratic opponents seem unwilling to debate these issues. They want to make you and I believe that this is a contest between two men, that we’re to choose between just two personalities. Well, what of this man that they would destroy? And in destroying, they would destroy that which he represents, the ideas that you and I hold dear.”

It picks winners and losers in the markets and business. It decides what businesses will be allowed to succeed and which are considered antiquated, such as the war on coal. By “government,” none is more prevalent than the federal one which rules by strong arm.

It dictates which laws states will be allowed to have, and which it will abolish. It determines what healthcare policies should be, what marriage certificates they can issue, what water they can drink, which lands they must preserve. What government giveth government can taketh, so it decides which funds it will withhold to twist the arms of states.

It decides how much of federal dollars it will dispense back to the state from whence they came. It decides what school curriculum we shall have — if you want to play by Washington’s rules, or if you will be considered an enemy of the State and lose funding.

See speech, a timeless indictment.

What’s happening ?

Sometimes what is on Infowars sounds a bit off the wall. Sadly, in this case, it is hardly questionable at all. It’s right there in black and white, or in front of anyone paying attention almost weekly. Some think it’s just social media today driving our awareness of it. I don’t.

10 Examples Of The Social Decay That Is Eating Away At America Like Cancer

It isn’t just our economy that is crumbling. Something is happening to America that no amount of money will be able to fix

by Michael Snyder | Economic Collapse | November 21, 2014 | Infowars

It isn’t just our economy that is crumbling. Something is happening to America that no amount of money will be able to fix. Everywhere around us we can see evidence of the social decay that is systematically eating away at the foundations of our society. It can be found on the streets of our inner cities, in dark basements in extremely rural communities, in the most prestigious boardrooms on Wall Street, and definitely in the halls of power in Washington. Bringing in an entirely different crop of politicians or printing gigantic mountains of money is not going to solve this problem, because it exists in the hearts of millions of ordinary men and women.

The truth is that we really need to take a good, long look at ourselves in the mirror, because we need to take a 180 degree turn as a nation. What we are doing now is clearly not working, and the longer that we take to address this problem the worse it is going to get. The following are 10 examples of the social decay that is eating away at America like cancer. Individually, they could be dismissed as isolated incidents. But I could have easily listed 100 examples or 1000 examples. Every single day, we are inundated with reports like these. The symptoms of the decay of our society are all around us. We just have to be willing to look at them…

#1 It seems like many of the most horrific crimes these days are happening in middle America. For example, a woman was recently hit over the head, raped and set on fire in a park in Wichita Kansas…

Wichita police say a woman was sexually assaulted, hit on the head, and set on fire Monday night in Fairmount Park.
According to police, the woman was on the ground, almost in a crawl, barely moving, and naked.

The woman was helped by a neighbor – Johnnye Marshall woke up her boyfriend Deon McPherson when she heard somebody scream for help.

“What if that was my daughter? I’d want somebody to go in and get her,” McPherson told The Wichita Eagle. “Where there wasn’t blood, there was a burn.”

The flames from the fire were about 2 to 4 feet high. McPherson stayed with the woman until firefighters arrived.

The above is only one of ten. See the article. It’s amazing that some of this is starting to seem almost regular. When we start to see this as normal in some way, it doesn’t say much for our social fabric. The sad part is, as he says, he could have listed many more examples.

Among the list is another list from Ferguson protestors of the all the cities participating in their cause and tactics nationwide. And even if a place is not on it doesn’t mean people won’t do something sympathetic with the ‘movement’. (if we can call it that)

Curse of an ineffective prez

Mind you this comes from Washington Post but it is an opinion piece from Larry Summers. So excuse me while I question the premise of the article.

Ending presidents’ second-term curse

By Lawrence Summers August 10, 2014 | Washington Post

Disillusionment with Washington has rarely run higher. Congress is unable to act even in areas where there is widespread agreement that measures are necessary, such as immigration, infrastructure spending and business tax reform. The Obama administration, rightly or wrongly, is increasingly condemned as ineffectual. What was once a flood of extraordinarily talented people eager to go into government has shrunk to a trickle, and many crucial positions remain unfilled for months or even years. Bipartisan compromise seems inconceivable on profoundly important long-term challenges such as climate change, national security strategy and the need to strengthen entitlement programs in a fiscally responsible way.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/lawrence-summers-ending-presidents-second-term-curse/2014/08/10/84dee500-1f34-11e4-ae54-0cfe1f974f8a_story.html

Let’s say that calling Obama ineffectual is like calling Jack the Ripper ineffectual. The problem of course is the effect he has had, not his inability to have an effect. And with Summers’ great insight, aren’t you glad he is not in the Fed? There is only one way I know to guarantee the end of this curse, but he will not do that either.

I will cede a point about those semi-talented young people being wasted under his leadership. But the talent he refers to differs from what I see more as thuggery.

Sometimes it is important to follow the Left’s (progressives’) narrative because it tells you where they are at (in ideology) which is usually a different place than we live. Then, after examining that you can better respond to their faulty reasoning.

Then comes reality, Obama is stomped for the very policies he said were on the table. Or his majority in the Senate, which ran interference, reduced to minority status. So whatever Summers was idealizing about a few months before election looks more challenged now.

However, that doesn’t mean Obama’s ideology or agenda is gone. Just that now tactics will change. If one wants to then judge the effectiveness of his radical methods, then you might have the same scenario as I already explained: it is not that he is ineffective, just that America is liking his ‘effectivity’ much less.

The Credibility Deficit

New polls say that this president has plummeting approvals on his foreign policy. Michael Barone describes the nuances here.

Booking a tee-time, seeking advice on brackets, or planning next va-k? What diff does it make?–(WhiteHouse.gov Flickr)

(6/17/14) The most recent Pew Research Center poll conducted for the Council on Foreign Relations shows that 52 percent of Americans — the highest percentage in the last 40 years — think the U.S. should mind its own business internationally and let other countries get along as best they can on their own. Evidently they don’t want to see America being, in the old phrase, the policeman of the world.

Barack Obama seems to be following the polls, yet more and more voters express disapproval of his foreign policy — 50 percent in a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll, with only 41 percent approving, a new low in that survey.

But history tells us something else about Americans’ attitudes. They have understood, no matter how little they want to be bothered or to see their fellow citizens suffer casualties, that Americans have a stake in what goes on beyond our borders and across the seas.

More National Review

Ask Churchill about frivolous voters. They decided not to punch his ticket in 1945, in pursuit of domestic programs. Churchill had been beloved seeing them through the war. Still admired as a hero, they replaced him with Attlee opting instead for a welfare state.

Obama has been the beneficiary of the whimsy of voters, when it suited his fancy. He’s been fortunate in that, based on nothing but his rhetoric and sound bites. He fashioned himself to fit even against other liberal contenders. Of course, Obama wants legend status without being a legend — only in his mind.

But Obama would represent the Chamberlain faction of appeasement. All that is ancillary, only to show that there is a public perception no matter what Obama seems to think. So far everything has been one way, his. The recess appointment decision verified that.

So he recognizes public opinion when it suits him, when it doesn’t he doesn’t need it. The quintessential tyrant. Now it seems any of his credibility is being challenged, from all sides. The empty suit has a design flaw, and it’s showing.

Now he once again calls scandals phony, a fabrication of Washington.

Obama’s latest rhetoric is designed to blame public disgust and cynicism he created in the White House on everything else in Washington. Since his Supreme smack down, he needs to blame anyone. These are his issues, policies, and his economy; yet he is projecting all the blame on others. Then adds he will take more action on his own.

USA Today

“They’re phony scandals that are generated,” Obama said. “It’s all geared towards the next election or ginning up a base — it’s not on the level. And that must feel frustrating, and it makes people cynical and it makes people turned off from the idea that anything can get done.”

Obama did not specify what he meant by “phony scandals.”

Obama was a little more specific when he spoke at a congressional campaign fundraiser Thursday night, saying lawmakers should focus on people like the working mother with whom he had lunch that afternoon.

“We talk about phony scandals,” he said, “and we talk about Benghazi, and we talk about polls, and we talk about the tea party, and we talk about the latest controversy that Washington has decided is important — and we don’t talk about her.”

That SCOTUS decision was not a “controversy” you created, it was abuse of power.

But don’t talk about all those victims you left in your wake, Obama, by your administration. All those IRS victims, all the VA victims, the Benghazi victims, or still countless others you blame for the condition of the country, when it is you that is directly responsible for the malaise. What about the whole country of victims you created?

Plus he has no credibility or trust to start with… and no ‘good faith’ credit.

Leadership failures…and that giant sucking sound

Not what you might think, but the disconnect of leaders 1)to listen 2) to be held accountable to the people 3) their lack of respect for the people.

I showed the leadership disconnect in churches, among clergy and leaders, now its time to connect the dots. The same condition is rotting politics from inside out in the cesspool we call Washington. The similarities are amazing.

Time and again the leaders(for lack of other term) have been out on these margins like space aliens. They make decisions or take positions contrary to the people. We saw it with ObamaCare, we saw it with Benghazi or trade and release of detainees. We see it with border failures and Obama’s executive pen on immigration.

Then we’re told that the “people will like it when they see it”. We still don’t like ObamaCare and don’t like the amnesty they’re cooking up. People didn’t like the porkufest deals to ram ObamaCare through or the whole process they used, or that big-spending spinathon attached to it. And people didn’t like the results any better.

What Americans actually do care about is not on politicians radar. They have operated like Obama playing golf in a crisis, oblivious to the people. When we say rein in spending, Washington says expand spending. Remember Biden said, “we have to spend more to keep from going bankrupt”.

So they are elected and then take a vow to their self-interest and self-preservation. Buying votes trumps listening to voters. But you sort of come to expect as much in Washington. Now that it is business as usual, people just accept it. Aside from all the scandals the administration is engrossed in.

Then they believe they will force their agenda on the people. See the similarities? It’s the same thing in many churches. We’ll tell you what your opinion on this or that ought to be. And if you still don’t agree, too bad, we’ll do it anyway. Pols also have the power of the media in their favor, so you will just get inundated. It’s their way or the highway.

They kindly point out that we are just a divided society now, and that’s where the problem is. The real division is between the people and the politicians. Dream Act anyone? Amnesty? Pipelines or EPA regulations? If you don’t like what they do, they say they will fix the problems — the same ones who created the mess and the same ill will they used doing it.

Leftist politicians are fond of claiming to speak for Americans, things like: “what Americans want” or “what American’s care about”. The same dynamic applies in churches: bishops or de facto leaders claiming to speak for the whole, in name, when it does not align with the people’s priorities.

It all speaks loudly about a giant problem, ignoring the will of people, by an elite “we know better” government and leaders. Both parties participate. We’ve come to expect their business as usual, even as we condemn their “business as usual” model.

Lies and Deceit – by J.D.

(I thought some people might appreciate this column)
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet
November 14, 2013

**************

I’m tired of writing about Obama and Obamacare. I’m tired of writing about the idiots in Washington who have driven our country into the ground and “reformed” us into a third world banana republic akin to so many of the socialist dung heaps staining the southern hemisphere of the globe.

Just days ago, I was reclining betwixt the white sheets of a hospital bed with tubes attached to my veins dumping — Lord only knows — what into my fairly used-up body.

Suffice to say that, as of this writing, I remain on the sunny side of the grass and am able, to some extent, to continue my campaign of aggravating the living daylights out of my political opponents on the left.

Yes, it IS cathartic, and does SEEM to aid in the healing process. But with the nation’s attention totally drawn to the most recent assault on the middle class, by way of a socialized medicine scam perpetrated by the Democratic Party, I have become BORED writing about all the things we warned America would happen if the democrats passed Obamacare into law.

See, NONE of the shortcomings of Obamacare are surprising to this old scribe. I saw it coming, and said so — publicly — and became something of a Jeremiah-like prophetic voice sans a sackcloth garment and ashes dripping from my unkempt hair and beard.

It seems I had become quite used to being “out there,” along with a handful of other like minded conservative “boat-rockers” and “cage-rattlers.” Now, however, Americans who have suddenly had their lives touched by — and thrown into confusion by — Obamacare victims are flooding into our once lonely space.

You’d think I’d be happy that so many Americans have come over to my side, right?

OK, I suppose I am. But I must, in all honesty, admit to a bit of annoyance(?) that, suddenly, the truth that I (and my conservative brethren and sisteren) have been imparting for years now seems to have come as such a surprise to so many.

Everything we warned of, has either already happened, or is about to happen, and NONE of it HAD TO HAPPEN.

We live, dear reader, in an atmosphere of lies and deceit.

Look. The whole MESS in Washington, DC is the result of apathy and ignorance on the part of everyday working Americans, the middle class, if you will, who just could not find the time to pay a few minutes attention each day to what the so-called leadership in our national legislature was doing.

As I observe the heads of agitated and frightened Americans popping up and screaming bloody murder when accosted by Obamacare it reminds me of the old expression “submarine Christians.” Yeah, submarine Christians are the so-called Christians you never hear from until they are in trouble. Like a submarine they surface when in trouble. Submarine Americans are popping to the surface all over the place today.

Problem is — it may already be too late.

WE have a REAL national crisis on our hands — one which must be handled decidedly and decisively — if we wish to have a constitutional republic left for our children and grand children.

Now that we have your attention, at least for a short while, please understand that even if we are able to repeal this godawful law and save what’s left of our country, we can never disengage from the job , no — the DUTY — of keeping a tight rein on the people who we have selected to govern us.

The current crop, for the most part, are drunk on power. They have become addicted to the power and perks of public office in America. Forcing them to go “cold turkey” is going to inflict much pain on them and they are bound to lash out, even at those who placed them in office by their sacred vote.

It is my opinion that we need to purge the Congress a year from now to the extent allowable under law and then finish the job in 2016.

There is a certain group of US Senators and Congresspersons who should, every single one, be targets of campaigns to replace them in Congress. See, It was DEMOCRATS WHO BROUGHT AMERICA OBAMACARE. Remember, not a single Republican cast a vote in favor of Obamacare in either house of the Congress. No Republican voted in favor of Obamacare — not one.

The Democratic Party is running sacred today, in a deep panic, as they understand the chickens are about to come home to roost. They brought this upon themselves, they deserve what they are about to receive at the polls.

Over the next year we will experience every kind of witch’s brew the alchemy of the Democrats can formulate to save their collective behinds. And, unfortunately, some of it will work.

If we want America to survive, if we want America to come back in all her greatness, we will work tirelessly to thwart the machinations of Obama and his minions to fulfill his promise to “fundamentally change” America.

Obamacare is but a taste, a bad taste, of the socialist America Obama and his cohort of socialists, Marxists, progressives, and 21st century liberals will create here in what was once this “goodly land.”
