There have been a few news dribbles about the convention.
Much has happened under the radar, at least behind the media’s back. One of Obama’s campaign co-chairs is getting a speaking slot at the RNC convention in Tampa. The now former Democrat, Artur Davis, is the big notable mention. This ought to shine a light on the sweeping disenchantment with the Hopenchange bandwagon from hell.
I’m not sure that giving a prominent spot is justifiable though. I mean especially from someone who actively worked so hard to ring in this inexperienced divider in chief and his class warfare brigade in 08. Sure its worth acknowledging. But other than being seen as just a turncoat now, I don’t know the larger purpose. Is it to say, “many of us have woken up” and give voice to the disenchanted former supporters? I’m just not sure how much good it will do.
But much like a few people have already said about the convention, it may be more informative to see who is not on the speaking roster than to judge it by those who are. That may be more the point. It doesn’t seem they will be enlisting Allen West for a much-celebrated slot.
Then there is McCain. Well, at the risk of being redundant, I’d much rather hear what Allen West has to say than endure another canned speech from McCain. (especially as some of his former advisors seem poised to sabotage this ticket) And who knows what McCain might say or do by election day? “Stay tuned…”
So the real story might be who is not on the RNC roster.
Hey, how about Robin Leach opening the convention? Seems they are doing everything else to try to choreograph the event with just the right ambience.

They can have whomever they wish. Kind of a meaningless charade anymore. I most likely won’t be watching much of either convention.

I’m going with clyde once again. Just going through the process now. I doubt I’ll watch either convention as it would just be a waste of my good TV time. I already know who I’m going to vote for and I don’t want to miss the upcoming mini-series of “How To Cook Minute Rice.”

Very good article. I wish to hell the RNC was not having McShame as a speaker. WTH is up with that? He’s mercurial and you never know what will come out of his mouth. For all we know he might tout Obama.
As far as Artur Davis, I don’t see why he should get any special time. Like you said he helped the demon get into office. Now, he’s unhappy and wants to make a big show of his displeasure and most likely it has something to do to help him out in the political sphere. These guys are usually only trying to save their own skin in some way or another.
And to put him on instead of having Allen West speak is quite an insult.

Yea Pepp, I was a little disappointed by McCain too, though I understand why. Ha ha, he might do a defense of Islam, just to balance it out. Who knows? Well, I don’t know if Davis was picked instead of West per se, but it looks like West will not be on the stage. He might pour too much truth on the coals. But Davis is the guy who seconded the nomination for Obastid. And yet he is surprised how he turned out? Something smells rotten there. We all knew the scoop. Was he that dumb? Maybe the two extra votes it will bring them is worth it, but I’m skeptical. I’m all for forgiveness but …. (there is a lot of blame to gi around for Obama)

I still say not putting Allen West up to make a speech is very poor judgement, but then again you’re right to point out he speaks “too much truth”. So the establishment is worried what he might say. Dummies.
Oh bloody hell, I hope McCain doesn’t try to defend those “arab springs” that turned out to be winter woes of Muslim Bros. McCain was so intent on us giving these people help to overthrow the shackles of a dictator, and now look what they’ve got. I’d say McCain kind of struck out with that ridiculous analysis.
I’m not forgiving yet the people who voted in this monster. What on earth were they thinking in 2008? Now they want to do a mea culpa? Too late.

Pepp, I’d say they should have to prove they’ve been deprogrammed. We may even have to set up regional deprogramming centers, if we do get Barry out of the WH. Hey they could have severe withdrawals or relapse at any time. Its risky stuff. 🙂
